Acupuncture Boston - HolliBalance Well-being Center: what do users think?
Brian Ruiz: Dr Song is excellent. I had pain in my ankle for several years which I was struggling with . After the first treatment with Dr Song my pain was better. I totally recommend her because she knows what she is doing, thanks.
Cory Williams: 1 month ago I injured myself and could barely walk let alone run. I tried everything from deep tissue massage to stretching, Yoga and rest - but nothing worked. Being a Runner this was really impacting my life. I contacted Dr. Song, in desperation, explained my situation and she very kindly squeezed me into her already full schedule that day. 3 treatments later and the injury is a distant memory - I can run again! Thank you Dr. Song, you have made such a difference in my life and am truly grateful.
Malcolm Lewis: Dr. Song helped my dreams come true as I am now the proud mom of twins! We've been trying for 6 years to get pregnant with no luck. I tried IVF the first time without acupuncture and it failed. I decided to try acupuncture with Dr. Song the second round of IVF and I got pregnant with twins. I had a wonderful pregnancy with no complications and gave birth to my boys at 37 weeks. Now they are 3 months old, growing strong and thriving. Thank you Dr. Song for acupuncture and herbs. It surely helped in achieving our wish of having a child!
Kathryn Walker: Dr. Song has helped me with back pain and helped my father with arthritis. She's a healer - compassionate, thoughtful, kind and knowledgable. It's never easy to open up and start the healing process with someone, but she makes it easy to trust and then be glad you did.
Steven Paul: I found her on Google immediately after moving to Boston and hurting my lower back from lifting boxes. My lower back has been a weak spot of mine, and her customized treatments really helped for weeks. I continued to see her for back issues, but have also gone for wellness tune-ups and allergy-related issues.
Deborah Smithe: This one of the very best and very amazing service and I am really looking this service is very useful and very helpful service and I recommended to all of you. It's really too good service.
Harry Robert: One of the best service centre in the city for Acupuncture Boston - HolliBalance Well-being Center. It's amazing. Highly recommended to all.
Laura Sampson: Dr. Song is whom I look to keep me tuned up and get me through particularly rough periods. Her decades of practice, deft touch and profound knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine complement any other therapies I may receive.
Mary Lird: She has a unique way of approaching the body and its multiplied layers. It was great to see her healing abilities as she uses her own technique to lay out the needles and let them unfold and change through the session. She is kind, and gentle yet confident and knows what she is doing. Her session is very beneficial and helpful. I am very grateful and highly recommend letting her support your healing journey. Blessings. Love and light.
Jojo: She is extremely professional and compassionate at the same time. I immediately felt comfortable discussing my issues with chronic back pain, hormone imbalance, and stress management. She truly cares about all of her patients and despite never having done acupuncture and cupping before, I fell in love with the results after my first visit. I am currently dealing with a shoulder injury that occurred when I was lifting weights and she has helped me heal and manage this pain through acupuncture, general wellness, healthy habits, and nutritional education. If you are on the fence about trying acupuncture, she's a fabulous choice to start your journey.
Ben Duckett: My back is so much better thanks to Dr. Song’s amazing acupuncture therapy and exercise recommendation. I took a long break from visiting the office but recently returned when my neck was kinked up. Dr. Song remembered almost everything about me and my body! Such an amazing presence and bedside manner she has as well. At one of my last visits I was dealing with some anxiety, and she placed the needles to calm my central nervous system, and I couldn't believe how well it worked. I was in such a peaceful state that I could hardly drive or talk afterward. I love that her treatments are so tailored to the concern at hand, and she really takes her time to understand what's happening with your body. I wish that all trips to the doctor were like this.
Ryan Gray: Dr. Song is a wonder and if you've been wanting to try acupuncture or cupping, go see her. I was extremely nervous about my first appointment for acupuncture but was so put at ease by Dr. Song’s calm, soothing demeanor that I fell asleep during one part of the session! Acupuncture was a great way for me to address myriad issues (insomnia, anxiety) and I cannot wait to go back!
james dev: Dr. Song is the best in, hands down. She is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and effective. I work long hours in a demanding job and she has helped me get my health back on track while also increasing my energy & productivity levels. She guided me through a detox and I've never felt better and the supplements she recommended helped me recover quickly. She has taught me how to reduce my stress levels and has changed my life.
Andrew Joseph: Dr. Song provided top notch care through acupuncture, a wealth of knowledge, and the appropriate tools to help aid my mother's journey. She has consistently shown genuine care and concern in my mother's health, making sure she was doing everything she could do to be better. Many months later, my mother is visibly better and we are so grateful we crossed paths with Dr. Song Truly one of a kind.
Heather Lee: Dr. Song spent extra time with me, answering all my questions about the procedure. The platelet (PRP) facial was amazing! No chemical injections like Botox or fillers. My skin looks refreshed, bright and younger. I will definitely go back for other treatments!
Ashwin and Armella Rayasam: Do not pay for your visits in advance if Dr. Song’s admin agrees to submit your claim to insurance because they will not. It’s been three months and now they are not responding to my follow-ups. I told them I would pay out of pocket but they agreed to submit to my insurance since my plan covers after I meet the $300 deductible. I’m already spending thousands of dollars on other health related costs so these acupuncture visits are negligible at this point, it’s just the principle and frustrating that this practice lacks integrity. For what it’s worth, there are other acupuncturist nearby who are effective, and surprisingly at a lower cost, and follow through on submitting claims.
Jorge Rosario: I have been having knee pain for years from sports injury in the past. I went to Dr. Song at HolliBalance for one session two years ago and the knee pain was gone. The knee pain recently returned. I had difficulty going up and down the stairs. I had another session at HolliBalance and the pain has reduced significantly. The herbal pain spray Dr. Song works like magic. I hurt my elbow after a fall and the elbow was completely swollen but after applying the herbal pain spray overnight, the swelling and pain was 90% down. I have referred several of my pro athlete friends and will continue recommending HolliBalance to all the people who need natural pain relief.
Nour Ghadanfar: I love love love love love this place. They're amazing and with great customer service. Every time I go in and discuss something with Dr. Zhao, whether it's a distinct physical pain or even if I'm feeling a little off emotionally, she works her magic. Can't speak highly enough about it and the wonders of acupuncture.
Nikki Kern: My visits at HolliBalance are always wonderful. Dr. Melody Zhao is so kind and friendly and makes me feel very comfortable. She takes great care in her work and always answers any questions I may have. Scheduling appointments is so easy and convenient, too!
Marybeth Giambra: Amazing, I feel so tranquil there. The staff is kind and respectful, would highly recommend. I was having intense troubles. Slowly I can feel myself getting better, gaining healthier relationships with friends and family
Joseph Soener: I started seeing Dr. Eng at HolliBalance Well-being Center after my daughter praised Dr. Eng's treatment. I came to Dr. Eng for elbow pain from golfing and emotional eating from stress. The elbow pain improved significantly after two treatments. I could play golf without feeling the nagging pain. Dr. Eng also helped me with the back pain along the way. My emotion and general well-being also improved. Since then, I have referred my family, colleagues, and friends to HolliBalance Well-being Center because I felt people can benefit a lot physically and emotionally from what they offer.

Seed Acupuncture: what do users think?
Nick Gaeta: Can't say enough great things about how Jessica and her treatments have helped me over the last year +. Wouldn't know what to do without her
Farrah Jean: Jessica is absolutely amazing and I feel like every time I leave a session I come back home healed 99.99%.She is quite literally a healer and she is such a beacon of light!
Dustin Gould: I started acupuncture with a lot of apprehension about it. Jessica made the process very relaxing and comfortable. I look forward to my visits and feel the results instantly. Jessica, provides an extremely relaxing environment alway focusing on your needs of that appointment. I have seen a lot of improvement in allergy congestion and she has relieved a lot of discomfort in my feet. It is a truly a relaxing and therapeutic experience.
Megan Ross: Seed Acupuncture provides a calm, clean, safe, and comprehensive treatment experience. You enter the space and immediately feel at ease. Jessica is an incredible practitioner, listener and communicator. She communicates along the way about your treatment, introduces new techniques (such as gua sha, cupping, and massage) all tailored to your needs while always ensuring that you are comfortable and feeling good from your treatment. The treatment itself has made a world of difference for my target ailments and overall Jessica is one of the kindest and genuinely empathetic humans who makes the whole experience something to truly look forward to.
Christine Frieze: Run, don’t walk to see Jessica at Seed Acupuncture. She is a gifted acupuncturist and healer.I am very particular about who I am willing to work with and I can say without hesitation that Jessica is kind and caring and her intuition is spot on.She has a depth of knowledge that comes with years of experience. In a word, she’s a treasure.
Kailee Kennedy: I have been seeing Jessica for 8 months after my old acupuncturist relocated out of the city. I feel very comfortable with Jessica and look forward to the relief and relaxation I feel after each visit. Acupuncture appointments with her are the only treatment that relieves my upper back pain.I have recommended her to friends who enjoyed their first time acupuncture experiences with her. She is gentle, attentive, and very knowledgeable about holistic health.
Michael Lloyd: Jessica is one of the most talented, patient, and creative practitioners I have ever met. With an extensive concussion history that led to chronic neck pain, headaches, and severe fatigue, I sought treatment from many specialty doctors and never had success. Jessica took in my whole history and developed a plan that truly worked. She wants to make the treatment work for anyone and adapts to your needs as they arise. Best experience I have ever had and couldn't recommend more!
André F: This was my 1st acupuncture experience and Jessica was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive and explained every step of the session. I left feeling rejuvenated and I cannot wait until my next appointment. Highly recommend.
Becca Gage: Jessica is the best. She is so gentle and soothing. She knows exactly what to do and what areas to focus on based on any aches or pains you have. I see her primarily for pain in my shoulders and neck as well as anxiety and after I leave I feel 100x better. Highly recommend Jessica, especially if you are weary and it's your first time having acupuncture.
Lauren Nichols: I have had chronic severe insomnia since I was 12 years old (now 31) and have tried everything from cognitive behavioral therapy, sleep specialists at MGH, every sleeping medication in existence, to a more holistic functional medicine approach. At my worst I wouldn’t sleep for days on end, and whenever sleep did come, it would take hours to fall asleep with a guarantee that’d I’d wake at least 4 times throughout the night with chronic fatigue each morning. Not a fun situation and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone. Nothing had proven effective and after a few nudges from family and friends, I decided to try accupuncture as a last resort, before succumbing to a future life of sleepless nights and horrible fatigue. After loads of research on acupuncturists in Boston, I was impressed by Jessica’s website and reviews and booked my first appointment at the start of September 2019. My expectations were minimal because my insomnia had lasted almost 20 years and high dose Ambien, Bellsomra, Valerian Root, Melatonin, etc. wasn’t even successful at remedying my issues. Flash forward a few months of (mostly) weekly visits and I’m ecstatic to say that Jessica - and her expert acupuncture knowledge and skills - has drastically improved the quality of my sleep, and by proxy my life. She has consistently worked to ensure that my sleep health continues on a forward, positive path - trying new points if prior points saw relapses, etc. - and although I’m not cured of insomnia (yet), I’ve been falling asleep within two hours each night and have been sleeping for 6 hours. While that may not be spectacular to someone without sleep problems, for me it is a monumental, noticeable improvement and I’ve yet to experience even one sleepless night while seeing Jessica! My quality of life is ever-improving because of her work and I cannot stress enough how powerful and therapeutic her work is! For perspective, I wouldn’t dream of writing a review for any of the doctors that I’ve seen in the past regarding my sleep: either you’ve helped or you haven’t, and holy moley has (and is!) Jessica helping! I slept 8 hours last night and I only have Jessica to thank.Jessica is so incredibly knowledgeable about acupuncture and the holistic arts in general (cupping, etc.) and her space is both beautiful and serene, which is truly the icing on the cake. She also takes certain insurances and has/uses GREAT, natural products in her practice (the amber cupping salve she has is my favorite thing ever), and is just the best it gets.Although I’m still an active client of Jessica (and will be for a long time), my recent improvements due to her expertise just needs to be shared. My minor issues (GI, stress, body pains, Raynaud’s, etc.) have all seen tremendous improvements as well, but it’s her ability to crack the code of my chronic insomnia that has me utterly blown away and so grateful.Best acupuncturist in Boston, hands down!
Jennifer Vaughan: I had a great experience at Seed Acupuncture with Jessica. She was incredibly thorough with my treatment and my back/shoulder finally felt relief. I really appreciated how caring Jessica was, and how invested she was in helping me feel better. I was would definitely recommend her. I look forward to going back and working with Jessica in the future.
Crystal Morgan: Outstanding treatment! I mentioned several health concerns to Jessica and she addressed these during my appointment. I started to see results in less than 24 hours. Very happy with my visit. She is on point, sensitive to your level of comfort and knows her stuff. The space is clean, peaceful and welcoming. I enjoy my services at See Acupuncture.
Karland Barrett: I've had the pleasure of experiencing the services at seed accupunture a few times and I have to say Jessica is not only knowledgable in the art of accupunture but she posses the desire to serve that someone who is a healer truly needs. After my first treatment I noticed slight changes, but after my second treatment the effects were very evident and I cant wait to see how my next session goes. Whether it's your first time or your 10th Jessica makes the whole experience relatively pain free and enjoyable. If you have ever wondered what accupunture was all about, let Jessica get you started on your journey.
kristin ventresca: I came to see Jessica suffering from extreme digestive problems, gastroparesis to be exact. I was in pain and extremely depleted. Gut issues take time to resolve but from the first visit I felt profound relief. Jessica was tenacious in her pursuit of exactly the right treatment, all the while documenting precisely in order to track progress. She also gave knowledgeable advice on diet which helped incredibly. I am now almost myself again. In a very difficult time, Jessica’s acupuncture treatments were healing relief.
Olaf Vollertsen: I see Jessica regularly to help me with some specific ongoing issues and several chronic conditions that I have as well as to help with my general overall wellness. She has a gentle demeanor and responds to my concerns at each session. Her Japanese stye of practice relies less on my words and more on what my body is telling her [which is quite fascinating!]I have had chronic sinus problems for years and between her treatment and following her dietary recommendations I am amazed that I have felt more relief that 10 years of traditional Doctor recommendations failed to provide me.I also have a chronic back injury and since her regular treatments my discomfort has been reduced for prolonged periods of time and has significantly reduced my need to take supplementary pain medications [like Ibuprofin.]I have also had excruciating and debilitating Gout pain periodically over the years that would usually take weeks to resolve [and that was the best that Western Medicine could do.] Jessica has treated me for Gout and given me significant relief in a matter of hours. Amazing!Occasionally I ‘over-do-it’ in the garden or with a project and have severe muscle pain be that either with my back, legs or shoulders and Jessica can alleviate the majority of that type of pain in one treatment [saving me from taking Ibuprofen for days.]She also helps me with ongoing emotional stress relief and I have noticed an overall sense of prolonged calm and wellness after each of my visits.I highly recommend Jessica!
John Bianchi Colangeli: This winter I was in a traumatic bike accident that left me with a broken vertebrae, rib, and strained rotator cuff. I had to take over a month off of work due to severe back and shoulder strain/pain. My body doesn't agree with narcotic pain medication and I needed an alternative. I'm a super active person (I bike every day, ski, go to the gym) and so my injuries took a heavy emotional toll on me, which Jessica always factored in to the treatments. Jessica treated me twice a week throughout my recovery and was extremely thorough in her approach to treating my injuries and pain. Jessica has a warm and compassionate personality, she is focused, skillful , and really listens to me. The treatments changed as my pain changed and I always improved after each one, and she even taught about some really great products and remedies that i'm still using. I was skiing and riding a bicycle four weeks into recovery, still with some minor pain, and was fully recovered and pain free at seven weeks. If it weren't for Jessica I don't believe I could have recovered as quickly I will definitely be seeing her again in the future.
Steffi Koerner: I have had many acupuncture treatments and most of them were very good. However, being treated by Jessica added an entire new level of well being. Typically I do not fall asleep during acupuncture treatments, except when I am treated by Jessica. Also, the aftereffects last for a very long time. Jessica is absolutely terrific!
Marlana Gallagher: Seed Acupuncture is a quiet little sanctuary in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of downtown Boston. Jessica is a highly skilled and intuitive acupuncturist with a specialty in the Japanese style (which is my favorite). My experience was wonderful. She listened, she heard me, and she gave me the best treatment. I left my appointment feeling as if I had dropped 10lbs off of my shoulders, light and positive. I will definitely be going back.
kyle katz: Seed Acupuncture is the best. The acupuncturist, Jessica Sorkin, is kind, gentle, and very warm, and knowledgeable. Her Japanese-style acupuncture has helped my back and digestive problems already.
Kate White: Jess is an amazing acupuncturist. Her attention to detail, dedication to healing and compassion for her patients is incredible. I’ve had multiple digestive health issues and Jess has provided healing treatment and guidance around how to improve my mental and physical health. She always looks at the whole picture and builds upon each treatment. I not only feel better but my overall wellness has greatly improved.

Kendy Delva: This place is great. Dr Zhang is kind, respectful and personable.
siobon barrett: 6 sessions for my moderate eczema and my skin is slightly better than when I had started.Update: this business removes negative reviews. I had another more in-depth review of my experience that is taken down.I had a terrible experience as a black patient years ago and I still think about it. This business is wrong to remove such reviews
Doris: Dr.Zhang is extremely talent and professional doctor!highly recommend him。He is also friendly and patient 。My Bell's palsy has dramatic improvement after first treatment。Amazing!
Jacqueline Genova: Dr. Zhang is brilliant. He has helped me so much with my hormonal imbalance. Coming to my weekly acupuncture sessions is the highlight of my week, and I'm going to miss him very much when I leave Boston! I couldn't recommend a more knowledgeable practitioner to go to.
Sherry Z: Dr. Zheng is wonderful! It’s just magical, I highly recommend.
Talya Elizabeth: Dr. Zhang is a brilliant, highly educated and skilled practitioner. He is caring, compassionate and is has been helping to treat my very complex medical condition. He has been helping me progress when no other doctor could. He is 100% focused and engaged 100% of the time. He makes me feel comfortable, answers all my questions based on his research and years of expertise in his field. I trust him completely and am so grateful for his outstanding care. Thank you Dr. Zhang!
Laura: Dr. Zhang is absolutely wonderful! He was so helpful with my back pain and was very accommodating to the times that I could come in. He preformed both acupuncture and cupping which I saw great results. I would highly recommend going to see him. He also provides a very clean and safe environment during COVID. Don't hesitate to book an appointment!
Zach Laub: I was hit by a woman texting and driving while riding my bicycle in June. I‘ve had tightness and pain throughout my back, arms and neck that Dr. Zhang has been helping me to recover from. Additionally I have always suffered from seasonal allergies. After two months of acupuncture and cupping mixed with physical therapy I am seeing drastic improvements in both my body and breathing. I attend a weekly session which has become the highlight of my week. For anyone who has ever questioned whether they should give acupuncture a try, I highly recommend it.
W R: Convenient location very helpful close to public transportation.I did not want to take a prescription that could give me bad side effects. I am glad I gave these treatments a chance to work. I still have more treatments ahead but my hot flashes are almost gone. My complexion is fair and is much less red😊 also my dry eye has improved so much that I am using less eye drops. My eyes are less red too. I am looking forward to more treatments. My advice is don't miss treatments and give them a chance to work.
Yuanyuan Zhang: If you are looking for someone to help create a family, this is the right place. Dr Zhang is very caring to his patients. I started Accupunture here as a try since other medicines were not working. It really worked. Dr Zhang helped me regulate my period and I become pregnant the first time my husband and I tried. I want to say a very big thanks to Dr Zhang.
Julio Franco: I had the chance to try different acupunturist in the Boston area before and I can say with confidence that Dr Zhang is the best, his background as Doctor combined with his knowledge of Chinese traditional medicine makes of him a unique combination with excelent results. Strongly recommended
Janet Olexy: I contacted Dr. John Zhang after experiencing severe pain due to sciatica. The pain radiated from my left hip to my foot and I was experiencing numbness in my foot. Prior to seeing Dr. Zhang, I had two chiropractic visits and a deep tissue massage, but the pain persisted. I could not find a comfortable position, whether sitting, lying down or standing, and ibuprofen was no longer having much of an effect. After my first acupuncture treatment, I immediately felt relief. I did experience some stiffness and slight pain that evening, but by the next day I was pain free. A week later I had a second visit with Dr. Zhang, and I am still pain free and easing back to my normal exercise routine. Dr. Zhang is professional, knowledgeable and caring, and I highly recommend his services.
Anna Callahan: *Please note that this review is for Dr JOHN Zhang, not Dr K Zhang who has taken over his practice.*When my husband and I started seeing Dr John Zhang, we were in our early 40s. We had done 3 failed IVFs and our western doctors told us we had a 0% chance of having our own child, and that our only chance was to do a donor egg. We decided to go with acupuncture and started seeing Dr Zhang.Dr Zhang is sometimes reticent and sometimes jolly. He is always supportive and optimistic. Six months after we began seeing Dr Zhang, we got pregnant naturally. Dr Zhang also helped to encourage labor, so our son was born at the birth center (no epidural, no pitocin -- it was an all-natural birth). He is four now, and an incredibly healthy, happy, smart, strong little boy! He is the joy of our lives.Thank you so much, Dr Zhang!
Diana Wood: I just wanted to send a little note to thank you SO much for all of your help with my last pregnancy.I think of you often and miss our appointments - things have been crazy at work and I need to start coming again! But I remember that I came to you (as you know) though Marta’s recommendation and was so incredibly scared and worried when we first met. I had had two miscarriages (which is far less than some women experience but had been so sad for me) and was very afraid that they would keep happening. But you were so reassuring and kind. You gave me such helpful tips in our first mtg for things for me to do and then were always so comforting in every appointment after that. I am sure you knew how nervous I was (I always asked you to check my pulse in the beginning to make sure you thought it felt alright - ha!) and I literally looked forward to every time we met, knowing I would feel so much better afterwards.I cannot tell you how helpful that was at that time for me. And I can only imagine the other patients you have worked with who would say the same. You have had such an impact on our lives and I truly cannot thank you enough!!My son Tommy is 5months now and enormous! Almost 19lbs and growing out of 9mo clothing already!I will send you a couple pictures and really look forward to coming to see you again soon.Just wanted to say thank you again!! For everything!!Diana
David Ambio: Professional
Jennifer Tucker: I have been seeing Dr. Zhang for years. He was instrumental in helping me overcome infertility.
Ashleigh Collins: I’ve been seeing Dr. Zhang for about a year now, it’s been a great experience!!! He came highly recommended from one of my clients, and I hear nothing but good things from people I know that stick with him! Definitely check him out!
Ellen Silvius: I have had psoriasis on my scalp, worsening over 5 years. No topical medication has been helpful and I did not want to take the medication possibilities suggested by my dermatologist (methotrexate, Humira). In July 2017 I began every 2 week acupuncture sessions with Dr. Zhang. As of January 2018, my scalp is 97% psoriasis free. I also take herbal tea, supplied by Dr. Zhang. As a medial professional, I had my doubts as to the outcome of these treatments but I cannot say how pleased I am with the results. I had given up hope of the psoriasis resolving. My only regret is that I did not reach out to him sooner. Convenient location; 1 near MGH and 1 in Needham. Very easy to schedule appointments as well.
CARRICK ZHU: I went there today but it's all full.
Hui Liu: He has very very good skill. His method is simple and effective. My period pain has been torture me for many years but with some heat pad to use as the way he suggested and his acupuncture, it is pretty much gone.

Acupuncture for Everyone: what do users think?
John Bonaparte: O.K.I get it now. For no good reason, I had been putting of getting Acupuncture Treatment to deal with a number of pain, allergy and stress symptoms --but I finally scheduled an appointment with Dr. Bill Mogan.Best decision I have made in a long time! The session was relaxing and therapeutic. 'Dr. Bill' knows his stuff. He puts you at ease and you are barely aware that the needles are there. Plus, the end result after even one session made a huge difference.I have more 'pep in my step' thanks to this committed and knowledgeable Wellness Professional.I can hardly wait to return next week!
Tai Gur: Bill is a fantastic person who really cares about his patients!my wife was 42 weeks pregnant and after a relaxing and painless session with Bill she got into labor and we had our first amazing newborn :)I highly recommend and trust Bill and I am sure you will as well.
Liz: Bill treated me when I was pregnant and already past my due date, with the hope of naturally kick starting labor. His office is a calming sanctuary in the middle of the city. I went in stressed and tired, and left feeling calm and rejuvenated. At the time I was having terrible trouble sleeping and fell asleep during each session without fail. Unfortunately, a natural childbirth was not on the cards for us, but the sessions of acupuncture with Bill allowed me to regain the strength I needed to get through a very long labor and avoid a c-section. I definitely recommend for late stage pregnant women.

North End Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine: what do users think?
Kaity Fischer: If you are considering visiting North End Acupuncture: I cannot be more emphatic that you'll be glad you did! My experience exceeded all of my expectations. Not only did working with Philip help alleviate the years-long shoulder injury I had been hoping to address (which I had never been successful with before) but I was also able to better manage other symptoms I hadn't realized could be "fixed": night sweats, low energy, etc. Not to mention, Philip is an incredibly kindhearted and thoughtful human: I looked forward not only to my weekly treatment but to our conversations and the insights I had afterwards.
Hannah Sacra: I've been going to North End Acupuncture for a few years and in that time Phil has supported me in recovering from chronic daily headaches and digestive issues. He has always been professional and respectful. I appreciate that he takes a holistic approach to health and asks me about what's going on in my life, my mental and emotional state, and offers his feedback and advice when appropriate. My appointment with Phil is always a highlight of my week and has greatly supported me in improving my health.
The10zinshuffle: I have been on acupuncture journey for almost 2 years. Before I started this journey, I was not able to breathe well due to asthma. Phillip has changed my life for the better, I would say he pretty much saved my life. I am very grateful for all that he has done. I am doing really well and am breathing very well because of him. Beside helping with my breathing, Phillip has helped me with minor muscle strains here and there very easily. Acupuncture has changed my life
Raj vanmali: I've been working with Danny for post workout headaches and some other conditions, right off the bat, i could feel the difference in the first couple of session. He is extremely detailed oriented in his screening. Very knowledgable of TCM, very easy to talk to. Last couple of sessions we've been focusing on deeper sleep, and it has made such a huge difference in my life who knew, that getting poked by a few needles will make such a huge difference. I highly recommend Danny. Amazing to work with!
Katherine Kowal: I cannot emphasize enough how life changing working with Danny has been. When I came in I was having anxiety, strange breakouts on my cheeks, and overall I felt imbalanced. Danny is clearly extremely experienced and his treatments have made a huge difference in my mind/body. My skin has been clear ever since my 3rd or 4th treatment. For anyone nervous about acupuncture, Danny was communicative and made me feel very comfortable every appointment. I will continue going for as long as he is practicing.
Lucy Spag: I’ve been seeing Danny at North End Acupuncture since March for neck & back pain, numbness due to neck stenosis, sciatica & hot flashes, sweating due to menopause. I wasn’t sure what to expect & was a little nervous when I went to my first appointment. Within minutes, Danny put me at ease with his calming personality. The initial consultation was very thorough. Danny went over all my issues and asked a lot of questions, took notes & really paid attention to what I was saying. Danny is extremely kind, calm & patient. I have difficulty laying in certain positions that are necessary to access the treatment points, so Danny goes to great lengths to patiently work with me to find a way to make me comfortable. I’ve noticed an improvement in my back & neck pain. After the first treatment for sciatica, I was surprised how much better it felt. But, my biggest surprise was the sweating stopped after the very first treatment for hot flashes! I get a little warm a couple times a day, but no sweating! Also, it’s very convenient that he’s there Saturdays & Sundays.
Andrew Moody: Highly recommend Phillip and the team over at North End Acupuncture. When more conventional western style medicine failed to help me with my chronic Lyme disease symptoms, I thought I'd give acupuncture a try. It has created a world of difference in minimizing my symptoms and making me feel like a barrier has been lifted when it comes to mind and body function. I am very appreciative of the thought and care that goes into my weekly treatment.
Bash Zaganjori: I started seeing Diana at North End Acupuncture this past May. I am a competitive Triathlete and Runner and had been battling a hamstring/hip issue for over 4 months. I had tried everything including Physical Therapy, Massage and Chiropractic care. Nothing seemed to make it feel better until I saw Diana. The dat after the first visit I felt something shift and it gradually started to feel better each week. Now I am completely pain free and back to running and biking without any issue. Diana is amazing, she always takes time to listen to all my needs and explains the healing process to me. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
Monica Nybo: Diana is wonderful and caring! I had never had acupuncture before but this had been recommended to for problems I’ve been having. I walked in skeptical to something new and am so amazed at how much better I feel and how my health has improved.I’m really grateful for all the time and care Diana has put in for me. She has been a huge help and great comfort assisting me through my medical problems.
Christsensen Family: I have been seeing Diana Rasoul-Agha at North End Acupuncture for four months now. Seldom have I found a practitioner as kind and nurturing as Diana is. She really cares about her patients and is continuously making sure we are moving ahead in the healing process. Diana is not only beautiful on the outside she is beautiful on the inside. She is so easy to talk to and is so non-judgemental. She often shares her knowledge of acupuncture with me and I find it interesting to understand what is going on in my body. I have learned a lot since I have been meeting with her weekly. She also has knowledge of how to use acupuncture for beauty and facial regeneration. I have not yet had these treatments but I am looking forward to getting some after we get through some of the healing we are doing now. I have started to feel much better after seeing her, more energy and better digestion over all. Also I am sleeping better. When I go to my treatments I can just relax and be regenerated. She puts on soothing music and it's my "me" time. I would highly recommend Diana as an acupuncturist.
Annette Duke: Phillip helped me turn around my unhappy gut into a happy gut, for which I am grateful.
marnie lynch: I started going to Philip Barlow at North End Acupuncture for fertility assistance when my husband and I were trying to conceive. Our fertility specialist had recommended acupuncture in addition to the treatments we were receiving as it can help with stress reduction, and blood flow which are vital for reproduction. It was a very emotional time, but Philip was a huge supporter always helping me to stay positive, and prepare my body for pregnancy. I continued weekly acupuncture sessions throughout my pregnancy which I feel helped me to stay healthy and active the entire time.Philip Barlow is a highly skilled practitioner, and well versed in traditional Chinese medicine and herbs. Most importantly he is kind, present, and a wonderful listener. He is also very accommodating with scheduling. I’m grateful for his time and expertise and I highly recommend him for anyone seeking fertility assistance, stress reduction, recovery from injury, or other health condition.- Marnie
Alexia Parks: I have been going to North End Acupuncture and seeing Philip for almost two years. I highly recommend North End Acupuncture to anyone that is curious about acupuncture -especially to people who have been struggling with health issues only to get unsatisfactory results with their primary care.I’ve referred friends to see Philip and they’ve all excitedly explained how amazing their experience was! They mention something along the lines of “how surprisingly painless and relaxing it is.” I couldn’t be happier to connect friends with the services provided at North End Acupuncture!!!Initially, when I started treatments I had issues with digestion, TMJ, and fatigue from shift work. The last straw that finally made me seek help was that on top of the other issues, my face started breaking out. Working with Philip was great! He asked me dozens of questions to get a holistic view of my overall health. We discussed my priorities and created a plan to address my current health concerns and prevent other issues I didn’t even realize were manifesting. I was very serious about wanting to improve my health so I saw Philip on a regular basis, began taking herbs as suggested, and made some changes in my diet. As someone who is not easily impressed, I was AMAZED at the improvements I noticed. Now at the first sign of any health issue I head to North End Acupuncture. Even if I don’t have a specific issue I’ll schedule an appointment to destress and re-energize.
Kristen McCormick: I highly highly recommend Philip! I reached out to him for help with severe digestive, skin, and sleep issues. After a thorough initial assessment, he very clearly communicated to me what he thought was going on and what he’d like to do, to target deeper root causes but also to bring as much immediate relief as possible. He also performed diagnostic testing to confirm and further refine his approach. Not only does Philip have extensive knowledge and training in Chinese medicine, but he also communicates things in a way that makes sense to you, and will integrate his practices into your plan in the way that feels most comfortable to you. He will work with whatever other approaches you may be taking at the time. I worked with Philip for several months, and can see that he delivers his care out of genuine compassion for his patients and passion for his practice. He takes a truly holistic, patient-centered approach and facilitates both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery. Thank you Philip!
Judey Cunha: I have been seeing Philip since he opened his business. I see him every week to continue wellness, he has treated me for a number of different things over the years & I have recovered from them in a holistic way without standard medicine. I have been working on my feet for many years & my job takes a toll on my body so I feel acupuncture keeps everything flowing in my body to keep me healthy!!I have also recommended many family members, clients & friends see Philip and all have been healed!!!The herbs are also a great addition to a speedy recovery whatever the problem is. I have been a great advocate for acupuncture for many years I think it can work for everyone!!!!
MacKenzie Mitchell: Philip at North End Acupuncture offers a comprehensive approach to health and well-being by addressing the root of an issue rather than just masking the symptoms. He truly listens to what you are saying and responds empathetically and professionally. While seeing Philip, we worked through an array of issues including digestion, musculoskeletal pain, and menstruation issues. With a combination of herbs, diet coaching, and (of course) acupuncture/needling, I have never felt healthier; I never thought I would say I love my period, but after working with Philip I totally do...and that is saying something!
Kerry Mulvaney: In 2017 I was first introduced to acupuncture. I had been skiing in Nevada and tore my ACL. While undergoing surgery I had a spinal cord stroke and lost feeling from my waist down. I was terrified and was told that there was no way to know if I will ever regain feeling. I sent several days in the hospital and was transferred to Spaulding rehab in Charlestown. I was told that the nerves apparently repair 1 millimeter per day. It was suggested by my neurologist that I look into acupuncture as I was being discharged. I knew that I had a long road ahead of my involving physical therapy and occupational therapy. I had regained some feeling by the time I had left rehabilitation but still had extreme numbness in my legs and almost complete numbness in my feet. I required crutches to walk and was out of work unable to work and also unable to drive. I was open to doing anything and everything that may aid in my recovery. I did my research and found North End Acupuncture and am so grateful that I did! I immediately felt comfortable with Philip; He is so knowledgeable and professional-and has great bedside manner. I went to acupuncture 1x per week; each time I had a session I would feel tingling (nerves coming alive) either that day or the next. I felt so hopeful! Philip also used some cupping techniques and prescribed Chinese herbs that would improve blood flow/increase circulation. Week after week there was progress as each week I regained feeling in my legs and feet. Each appointment/MRI I had with my neurologists they were shocked with my progress. Over the course of time I had a full recovery! I regained full sensation from the waist down, no devices/walking aides needed! I am confident that I would not be where I am without having had the combination of acupuncture and the herbs prescribed. I can’t emphasize enough how incredibly grateful I am that I found Philip and North End acupuncture. As I had such incredible results from seeing Philip and acupuncture; I opted to do acupuncture in November following an awful accident. I was vacationing in Aruba and while driving an ATV I hit a rock and was thrown from the ATV. As I was driving on a rocky trail my fall was onto rock. The ATV rolled and landed on top of me. The paramedics checked me out and my scrapes were attended to. It was determined that nothing had broken. I was in excruciating pain as I landed on my back and had a deep gash on my elbow. I returned back to Boston and was alarmed, as my wounds were not healing. In fact they seemed to be getting worse. Additionally, my lower back was quite swollen and very sore. I met with Philip and he gave me some Chinese herbs for the internal trauma and did acupuncture. He also recommended that I get my wounds looked at, as there seems to be an infection. It turns out I has staff infection- my elbow and lower back wound. I agreed to take antibiotics for 3 days. Philip gave me some additional Chinese herbs to combat my infection. My wounds healed quickly and may not even scar! 3 sessions/3 weeks later; My lower back pain subsided quickly as did the swelling. Once again I’m grateful to Philip at North End acupuncture!
Sai Ghose: I had been having back pain on and off for years and decided to try North End Acupuncture to alleviate my pain and discomfort. I'm very happy I did! Even after one visit I felt a difference and after a few sessions I was able to resume some activities I hadn't been able to do for years. But what struck me the most was the approach to treatment that was so different than what I was used to. Philip, my practitioner, asked lots of questions and really listened to me BEFORE he did any sort of treatment. I would highly recommend North End Acupuncture to anyone looking to work with a knowledgable and caring practitioner!
Cindy B: I have been working with Philip Barlow for over three years now. He has helped bring energy back from an old C-Section scar, has given me herbs to help the pain in my eyes, to help with stress and give me more energy. I have seen him for muscle and back pain, which he has done wonders for. He has also treated me for colds and flu which were cured in just days compared to weeks. I have sent many of my clients to see Phil and they have loved, loved, loved him too. A true healer and caring practitioner.
Tricia Renopir: I began seeing Philip over two years ago when he was an intern at Boston Medical Center. I was having terrible Plantar Faciitis pain and found no relief from my primary care doctor or physical therapist. After over a year of pain, my doctor began pushing for surgery even though I was hesitant to go that route. Instead I began researching alternative medicine for pain management and began seeing Philip for acupuncture at the hospital. Within 2 treatments my foot pain was reduced by about 90% and after 4 treatments the pain was completely gone and has not since returned.I have continued to see Philip at his private practice at North End Acupuncture for various issues. Around 6 months ago my husband and I began fertility treatments as we have had some issues getting pregnant over the last 3 years. I had a cyst on my ovary that was removed leaving me with only one functional ovary and my husband had a low sperm count with low motility. We both began fertility acupuncture treatments with Chinese herbs last year and within 2 months I was pregnant. The pregnancy has continued on course and I am due in June.I have no idea how all of this works, but it does. My husband had his sperm tested after treatment and his number of "healthy" sperm was four times higher than it was prior to treatment and his sperm motility had increased by almost 50%. Simply amazing.I cannot say enough about the care I received from Philip. He is compassionate, caring and patient, and is truly one of the best acupuncturists in Boston. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Inner Sage Boston Acupuncture - Nicole Brown, Lic. Ac.: what do users think?
Meghan Singh: I have been working with Nicole since 2016, and it has made such a difference in my care. Nicole has worked with me on post-concussion issues, as well as GI and inflammatory issues. She is thoughtful, careful, reflective and kind. Nicole earnestly cares for her clients, and is invested in our well being. She is a true partner in my care. I'm so thankful to have her as part of my team! I look forward to every session as a chance to check in with my body and on my health, and feel like Nicole is a critical part of the conversation.I always feel welcome and relaxed at Inner Sage. I've referred so many of my coworkers, we joke she should just come to the office. I highly recommend working with Nicole.Plenty of metered parking in the area, never had an issue. Right on the green line, not far from Longwood or BU.
june sass: Nicole Brown has brought to light issues I could never have seen through a traditional doctor. She has validated my experiences and built trust in a kind and soothing manner. Nicole truly spends time to listen to all of my symptoms and asks thorough questions. Nicole has such a brilliant grasp of womens health that I have not seen in any other doctor. Not only does she have extensive knowledge of both holistic and western medicine, but her judgement on how to apply her practices have been more helpful for me than any doctor I have seen in my life. Nicole truly believed my story and took into account all aspects of my life. At my most hopeless moments in my physical and emotional recovery not only has Nicole been there as a provider but she acts as a coach, a mentor and maternal figure. Most importantly, through Nicole's experience, she has a sense of what might be wrong almost instantly, and follows through with what she believes to help when I have had trouble communicating. It feels like she knows me better than I know myself sometimes. Nicole is more than an acupuncturist, she has played one of the most important roles in my recovery from multiple illnesses, she truly is a sage.
Anna D: I have been going to Nicole for over a year and a half and I would recommend her to everyone! She truly cares about her patients and is extremely knowledgeable about all the ways the body is connected. She not only helped me with recovery after wrist surgery and has kept me PAIN free there, but helps me manage chronic shoulder tension and whatever aches and pains I might come in with on any given week. She remembers the details of my life and is flexible with scheduling appointments. I have only good things to say about her business!
L G: I can't say enough about Nicole's knowledge, professionalism and kindness. I have had the privilege of knowing a great number of holistic practitioners throughout my life and can honestly say I am lucky to have met Nicole. She is very talented, knows her stuff well and has a curious mind which I very much appreciate. I think she's one of those people who never stops learning - something you want in your holistic healthcare provider. She is compassionate, smart, and very VERY good at what she does.
Marley J: Nicole Brown is my absolute favorite acupuncturist in the Boston area. Nicole's approach to acupuncture is a beautiful blend of traditional knowledge, modern findings, and compassion. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and highly skilled. She really cares about my well-being and always replies to emails quickly. It is so clear that she spends a lot of time outside of work researching holistic health so that she can provide her patients with the best care. When I started receiving acupuncture from Nicole in November 2015, I had suffered from a difficult chronic illness for 7+ years. I had chronic pain, chronic fatigue, depression, got sick frequently, and experienced some PCOS-type issues. I was frustrated because it really felt like my body was holding me back.Over the past fourteen months, Nicole has helped me regain my health in all areas. She has given me important nutrition and supplement recommendations specifically for the problems that I experience. She tailors her acupuncture treatment protocol to my body’s exact needs that day and she remembers how my body responds to various acupuncture points.I truly believe that Nicole’s acupuncture has played a monumental role in my recovery from my chronic illness. I barely have any pain, my fatigue is manageable, I am no longer depressed, my immune system is getting stronger, and I am healing from my PCOS-like issues. I know that with Nicole’s help, I will continue to heal! I am so thankful I found her!
Mark Turkall: Nicole has been treating me for muscular-skeletal pain, anxiety and insomnia for two years now. Yes, Acupuncture works! Her approaches in listening to my issues and explaining how the treatments work are second to none. She's also extremely knowledgeable when it comes to supplements and dietary needs as they pertain to my conditions.

Yintuition Wellness: what do users think?
Amanda Sullivan: I’ve learned so much from Alison about healing and helping my body when it comes to acupuncture and cupping. And I have experienced better sleep, less pain and anxiety, and relief in tense areas. I look forward to every appointment!
Elizabeth O'Connor: Holly is amazing for treatment and care. She takes the time to get to know her clients with her warm and caring personality. She also tailors your treatment to your specific needs. I highly recommend her!
Lucinda Ora: I love Yintuition! My regular treatments have made a noticeable difference to my health and well-being. I always leave feeling relaxed and restored.
Kaitlyn Labberton: I worked with Ali throughout my journey to conceive and during my first trimester, and the experience was truly healing and comforting. I constantly recommend Yintuition to friends and family, as well as refer my own patients there. The team is intelligent and compassionate, which is the perfect combination for the population they serve. I returned during my postpartum as well, and know I will be returning again for future needs without hesitation. They are really the best!
Abigail Ruettgers: I’m not one to leave reviews very often but when the care you receive is truly life-changing it’s worth it. Ali treated me throughout most of my pregnancies as well as when I was trying to conceive and recovering post-partum. Every journey is different but I honestly don’t believe that at 41 with endo and fibroids I would have gotten pregnant in one month without Ali’s treatment and care. As an added bonus she’s just incredible nice and great to talk to.
Caroline Culbertson: I’ve had the privilege of receiving acupuncture treatment from Alison for nearly a year now, and she is fantastic. She’s so warm and welcoming, and is so knowledgeable about her field. She seeks to treat the whole body, but also has the ability to zero in on specific symptoms. Everything from sleep, stress, reproductive health, joint pain, depression and everything in between. She is very gentle with needle application so if you’re new to acupuncture and nervous, don’t be! I love that in addition to acupuncture, Alison has other tricks up her sleeve like Gua sha and facial rejuvenation, and today she even showed me a qi gong move! Last but not least her location can’t be beat. Living in the south end I usually just walk and it’s such a pleasant stroll there and back. Her office itself is so cute and clean. Each treatment room has cute murals and it’s just a vibe. Def recommend, love love love!
Rebecca Noyes: I read bios of several different acupuncturists in the Boston area, all of whom accepted my insurance, and Alison was the only bio I read that I really connected with. I am so glad I put in the time to find the right person- Alison asked me a lot of questions and listened to the areas I wanted to work on during my initial visit, and made me feel very safe and comfortable. I will definitely be seeing her again!
Stefanie Viotto: Yintuition Wellness is incredible. Over the past couple of months it has become the highlight of my week/ day going to my appointment at Yintuition. Ali is so patient, has answered all of my questions regarding the process & has helped me tremendously. I highly suggest visiting if you’re looking for help in the realm of holistic healing/ lifestyle health. I can’t say enough good things about this practice & how it has helped me!
Katie Pedrick: I had my first session with Alison this morning, and have been on cloud 9 since. The office is beautiful, clean, warm, and inviting. I've been treated by many acupuncturists, and Alison was fantastic. Her demeanor allows you to instantly feel at ease, and she has an extremely gentle needling style. I left feeling 3000x better than I walked in. Can't wait for my next session!
Cait P: Ali and her team are extraordinary! I have been going to her for 3+ years and she has been a valuable resource. Her approach and philosophy are nothing short of genius. She has helped with countless ailments and has helped de-stress my life. I could not recommend Ali and Yintuition Wellness more. She takes a hands-on approach and works with you to find a solution. I have sent countless friends to her for a variety of things including infertility, pregnancy and post-partum treatments. She is wonderful.
Amy Ingram: I have been treated by Ali for years- she really is the best!! She is super professional, easy to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable in her craft. I saw Ali for acupuncture during my first pregnancy for chronic lower back pain and for migraines. She provided relief right away with her skilled techniques and I was able to get some much needed relaxation. If you haven’t been to Yintuition Wellness yet in Boston you are missing out!
Lee Hameroff: My wife used Ali when we were going through Ivf treatments as it was recommended. We couldn’t be happier now that we have twins. Ali was extremely professional and knew exactly which points to hit for Ivf treatment! We highly recommend her !
Kayla Mehr (Your Fit Mom): Ali is fantastic! I have done acupuncture on and off for a few years but haven't found anyone in Boston I really enjoyed working with - until I met Ali. I had my IUD removed a few months ago in preparation to start a family and heard about the benefits of acupuncture while trying to conceive. I started working with Ali to help get my body regulated and to help with sleep and stress. Ali was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and confident during our sessions together. Within a few short months of working together I was able to share with her the news that I was expecting! Ali then catered the sessions to fit my present condition and I left each session feeling great! I look forward to continue seeing Ali throughout my pregnancy and after! If you are looking for an acupuncturist, look no further!
