Andromeda Belly Dance Boston: what do users think?
Laura Slotpole: Andromeda is the best teacher I could have asked for! She is fun, knowledgeable, encouraging, and explains technique / choreography in a way that is clear and helpful. She’s fun and playful while still making sure her students are learning and improving. Whether you are a casual student or want to be a dedicated performer, she helps you reach your goals and also offers plenty of performance / social opportunities to meet other dancers.
Sara M: Bellydance classes with Andromeda are one of the highlights of my week. Aside from being a talented dancer and choreographer, she is warm, patient, encouraging, and one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She caters to people with no bellydance experience, while also challenging the advanced beginners. Andromeda invites us to her performances, and creates lots of opportunities for us to perform what we learn with her professional bellydance friends. I've taken several bellydance classes over the years, and am so happy I found Andromeda's class!
Robin Meccariello: My first class with Andromeda, I dropped in to a class with ZERO belly dance knowledge, but I left feeling confident and excited for the next one!The class I checked out built off of choreography that the other students were familiar with already. Somehow, Andromeda knew how exactly to run a class that both challenged the veterans and guided the newbies! Her classes are so much fun, and a great way to get in an ab workout that doesn't feel like work. I've actually learned very helpful postural tips from her class that have helped relieve my lower back pain day to day. Check her classes out! You won't regret it!
Kara Davis: amazing class and atmosphere! Andromeda is wonderful and I instantly felt welcome, her classes are a great and fun way to learn new bellydance choreography, even if you’re brand new!

Belly Dance with Seyyide ONLINE: what do users think?
Julia Sullivan: I’ve been studying belly dancing with Seyyide for a few years now, and it’s been a fantastic experience! She is a fun, engaging, and informative teacher who makes each class entertaining. More than that, the focus on core strength, flexibility, and balance have helped with my arthritis and overall wellness. Great workout for both body and mind!
Elina Locane: Seyyide is a wonderful teacher whose classes always lift my spirit. Her passion for dancing is infectious and I always have a lot of fun. At the same time, she is also great at teaching the technical aspects of the dance in a very accessible and well-organized way.
Roxanne: I always had an interest in belly dance but I was never able to find a teacher in my area, I was so happy when I found Seyyide! As a person with anxiety she makes it so comfortable to be there and encourages you to do better. I am so happy to have found this class as to it gives me joy every week to go and dance with her. I am looking forward to many more sessions as to I’d like to get better at the craft and with her guidance I’m sure I can make it! Give her a try trust me!!
Alan: This is a nine year old talking. It is awesome, a great way of getting fit. Nice classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced. I Recommend coming. I often watch the classes and the students have a lot of fun
Rin Yunis: Seyyide is an amazing teacher for a huge range of skill levels - even in the same class. She is capable of handling a wide range of disturbances and making the most out of the time given in classes. My technique improved a lot with only a few months of classes! Especially for new dancers you will learn a lot and your back will feel amazing thanks to the stretching warm ups and cool downs.
Karen Fraggos: Seyyide is a great instructor, lots of fun but also strict so you learn the moves correctly. You get a workout from head to toe!
Prachee K: I have been taking classes with Seyyide for over a year. She is an awesome teacher and a very talented dancer who has perfected her craft. Her classes are always fun with stretching and warm ups emphasizing proper posture followed by short dance sequences combining different elements of raqs sharqi (classical Egyptian style belly dance), with a focus on using good technique. An evening of Seyyide’s class always leaves me feeling refreshed and energized after a long day. If you want a nice work out while learning something new and enjoying Middle Eastern music, you will love this class.

Wedding Dance Boston: what do users think?
Emily Rencsok: We had absolutely NO dance experience before meeting Roseann, but we wanted to feel comfortable with our first dance for our wedding. WE LOVE ROSEANN!!! We ended up doing 5 lessons with her because seeing her every Wednesday was the highlight of our weeks leading up to the wedding. Roseann is the sweetest and so supportive and knows exactly what folks are looking for re: loose choreography for their first dance. Our dance went so great during our wedding, and everyone LOVED it! We ended up learning some moves for three different songs (first dance, last dance, and mother/groom dance) which were a range of pop to acoustic to a Chinese folk song, and Roseann came up with beautiful and manageable steps for us for all of them. We loved working with Roseann so much that we plan to continue lessons with her after the wedding to learn some other types of dance/just spend more time with her :) Definitely work with Roseann for your wedding dance!!!! 3 Emily + Kyle
Lauren Baer Preskenis: A++++ Roseann was absolutely amazing to work with!! She taught us (beginners) the basics for our wedding dance, and helped us learn enough to feel comfortable, have FUN and be confident on the dance floor! She is such a sweet person, so encouraging and both my husband and I had an absolute blast learning from her. We felt so comfortable during our wedding dance and were so happy we got lessons from Roseann. We love you, Roseann!

Dance Complex: what do users think?
Kyle Johnson: Not so hidden gem
Duckenson Castel: So much have changed here. Recently started taking classes and I love it. Bathroom are kept clean, it's super easy to take classes here. You do have to sign in with the instructors online or walk-in and pay in person. Would absolutely recommend you create an account on mind and body, follow the in-person schedule and go from there. Majority of the studios are very spacious as well. The staff is super awesome and amicable, which makes you want to keep coming back. And I love how they started incorporating mindfulness practices before/during majority of the classes. And a wide variety of dance genres and cultures.Overall great experience, love this place.
Phil Cohen: Dance Complex is awesome. Try capoeira
Kirsten Williams: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Sarah B - she her: Positive:Communication,QualityWelcoming, inclusive dance studio in the heart of Cambridge. Instructors are qualified, skillful dancers and encouraging teachers. I always feel safe to push past my comfort zone here.
Gustave Laflare: Critical:ProfessionalismThis place is stealing people’s money and refuse to refund your money. AVOID GOING THERE!
Lisa Fusaro: Amazing so much fun. Natalie was awesome. Thank you so much
Londyn Korol: Reminds one of stereotypical, old fashioned dance studios with winding wooden stairs and exposed brick. Lovely building. A couple weird spots in the Studio 3 floor but nothing crazy. Easy to find, bike rack out front, lots of street parking.
brian cooper: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Shanelle S: Three-floored community with a variety of dance classes. Came here on a Saturday for an impromptu Samba dance class at 1:30pm. It’s just one stop away on the red line from Harvard, so it’s a convenient option for students. It’s $15 for the samba class, but they’ll take cash and credit card. There’s a Santander right across the street if you need an ATM, since some of the classes are cash only. Note for Bank of America cardholders, there is a $3 ATM fee. There is a gender neutral bathroom availableThe 1:30-3pm Samba class was super fun. It was my first time doing Samba, but the teacher was super energetic and there are plenty of other beginners so you don’t have to feel awkward. You can put your stuff on the right hand side along the wall, and there’s plenty of mirror space so you can watch yourself shake it. There were people of all ages and it was good vibes all around. It started with a warm up and then payment, and then the actual Samba class. There was even a live band that played while we danced. At the end, there was a dance circle and everyone left sweaty but happy. The dance center overall is a cool spot and you can try out a number of different dance styles and classes no matter what age you are. I noticed on the bulletin board they have kid classes as well.
Tonya Lockwood: “ Afro Flow yoga is lit.” Andrew, 11 years old.
Rocephin W: The staff was very friendly.
Rohan Patel: Great location but not really great from inside.Good:1) the location. Right into Central square connecting to bus and train.2) price and classes: thrle salsa class I got deal on Groupon had 50% off and the instructor is super amazing.Bad:1. The entire building is super old. Not enough space for crowd waiting for next class, the bathrooms smells worse than public restrooms. And changing rooms are joined with those smelly toilets.2. Noise: People out from other classes are totally inconsiderate of other classes going and make so much noise that almost impossible to listen to your instructor. Sadly management doesn't care about it3. Building quality: building is not meant for dance classes as the windows shake due to dancea going on a floor above you and the noise of footsteps are completely distracting. Will I consider going for a class next time?Yes. If I get 50% off deal then I will.No. If I am paying good amount of money for the classes.
Mahala Burn: I find that the Dance Complex feels like the local community centers of my childhood- a bit ramshackle, but very functional for its purpose and full of friendly people of all ages, shapes, and backgrounds. It serves in a way an Equinox would never want to. Over the years, I've taken Haitian, West African, Nia, and Modern here and felt I was in a safe and supportive environment to move and express myself. The instructors are widely varied yet consistently skilled and inclusive, and for most classes there is great flexibility for dropping in when you are able given challenging work or personal schedule demands. I would definitely recommend if you feel you are lacking in community and/or need to find a place to move without judgement.
T: Amazing...full of culture good people and fun
Jenna Sunshine: The Dance Complex is great! They're a nonprofit organization that's really into keeping performing arts alive. It's a big place with a great vibe. There's a very comfortable down to earth atmosphere, and although there are advanced dancers there, you can be brand new to dance, and/or be older or heavier and you WON'T feel awkward there. Most of the classes and students are beginner to intermediate. There's a huge variety of classes offered there & you can view the class schedule on their website. Most of the class rooms are rented out by the hour to various instructors or companies, so you'd most likely be paying the instructor or their assistant. I point this out because people frequently ask why they can't sign up online. So the instructor is renting the room, and the students are paying the instructor, NOT the Dance Complex. I suggest you look at their schedule online and if you see a class you're interested in, click through to the description and you'll see how to sign up and whether a class is drop-in or session based. If the class you're interested in is a drop in class, then don't worry about the logistics of signing up & paying in advance, just show up, bring cash with you, and the instructor or their aide will help you & get you all set up. If you have any interest in dance but you're nervous because you have no experience, then THIS is the place to go! If you are new to dance, don't worry, you won't walk into a scary environment with professional dancers everywhere looking at you; instead you'll see many beginners, and people of all different sizes, races, ages and no one there is judgemental. Dance on!
Pasqualino Ferralis: Excellent dance school of various genres, excellent teachers
Stephanie Ruiz: I don't hate it or like it i love it
Yi-Hsin Lin: Great place to learn dance. The atmosphere is very laid back. You just show up and pay the teacher directly. Sometimes the price is a little different than what's stated on the website though.Every teacher has been very friendly and supportive, even if it turns out their class isn't the right style/level for you. Classes seem to have regular crowds attending, so the class does progress over the course of the semester while remaining friendly to drop-ins. Highly recommended!
Peter Galvin: The nexus of dance in Boston/Cambridge. Love the classes and the dance community centered here. It's a gem of life in the city.
Adee C: Idk why someone said that the bathrooms small cuz it doesn't and is actually SUPER neat. Everyone is really nice and supportive. The classes are killers! Totally recommend~👍

OUT to Dance: what do users think?
Sheryl Wagner: My wife and I took dance lessons before our wedding and had a great experience. The hours literally flew by and each time we left in such a great mood! Liz is a fantastic teacher, we felt totally comfortable and had so much fun!
Warren O'Reilly: Wedding dance for the ages.!!!Liz and the staff of Out to dance worked with us in the weeks and months leading up to our wedding to meet us at our level of proficiency and work with us on our first dance. It need not be mentioned how stressful the time on the run up to a wedding is, but every week we met with Liz we left feeling joy, connection and confidence.Liz focused on where we were and our skill level and helped us build a dance that was emotional and memorable as much as it was technically proficient. Needless to say the dance went off without a hitch on the day and people told us it was the most unique first dance they had seen (even if it’s a lie it’s out wedding day so I’m taking it ). Look forward to dancing with Liz and all the folks at Out to dance in the future.
Anne Mackin: You can't imagine a warmer, more personable dance teacher, or one more perceptive about each person's strengths and weaknesses. Learning to dance with Liz comes close to dance therapy. And because she values the dancers' experiences over dancing to impress, the results are actually better and more impressive! My husband and I took lessons before our son's wedding and we looked forward to our lessons and really enjoyed ourselves.

Center for Arabic Culture: what do users think?
Maha Farhat: Cultural center that organizes film showings, musical performances, choir and other performances from across the Arabic speaking world. They also organize a non-denominational Arabic school for children and adults operated out of Chestnut Hill on Sundays. And an Eastern/Arab music children's orchestra. Highly recommend.

Middle East Restaurant and Club: what do users think?
Brianna Rose: Fantastic experience! Fast service and the owner was so welcoming! Got to sit anywhere we wanted to eat and the Choco Martini was super yummy :) Attended a concert in the upstairs venue and it was such an intimate concert experience! 10/10 will be coming back in the future for a show!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jessie Gagnon: Found this place by accident and had a great experience, absolutely would recommend. :)Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alex C: This is one of the best places to catch metal/hardcore/punk shows. In fact it's one of the only places, too, so I cherish this establishment and the many venues it hosts. I've seen so many good bands here. The bar is reasonably priced and has a good enough selection. It's not exactly the cleanest place ever, and someone standing near me at the last show ripped a fart and their diet must consist of nothing but pepperoni, otherwise I'd give the atmosphere 5 stars.
Henry Dera: Went to the Middle East Upstairs for a concert. The venue was very intimate and a great place to catch a show.Parking: There is a lot in the library close by or plenty of street parking if you can a spot. spot.
Jessica Oesterle: Downstairs is a Great venue- very intimate and good prices. We had a blast!! The bartenders are extremely cool and seem to have fun working at a music venue.

Jonathon Addington: Great music venue with tasty menu
Lindsey Goulet: As a popular place as it is. Doesn’t know how to maintain toilets in a basement.
Jeff Morgan: Ya'll are absolutely wild.2 Double captain and cokes, and 2 white tea shots that the male bartender never heard of, I got charged 68 dollars with an added in gratuity of 10 bucks!. I drove 3 hours just to watch zeke beats, and I don't care who plays here, ill never be back. Clean the downstairs also. It was so nasty. Floor was sticky before the show even started last night.
Amanda Carr: Feels like home
hannah anderson: Honestly, from what I've seen tonight, the management at this establishment is horrendous and takes no accountability for their mistakes or actions
