SoWa Art + Design District: what do users think?
Sarai Berrios: Im a Artist and Sowa is my second home at heart. 🖼️ 🎨
Courtney DAvanzo: Lots of great artists
Denise Corrin: Amazing artists & wonderful vendor food places!
Mariana Paz: Amazing art area
Boris Kievsky: Very cool block with dozens of studios and galleries of all kinds. Go on a Sunday - most of the galleries and studios are closed on Saturday.
Anna Cvetko: Great opportunity to see a variety of art and artists
qlv assoc: A tourist attraction on Harrison Ave between E Berkeley St and Randolph St. Sweet food booths, boutique kiosks, handicraft souvenir tables, studios displayed artist works, restaurants and many more lined up along the alley. At the end of the alley is the food court, bakery, and farmer market with local produces. On Sunday morning the place is packed with people.
Michele Mercuri: If you like art, this is a very nice and interesting place to visit. Many true, active, art studios often open to visitors. Try it out. We discovered some truly innovative minds.
Katherine McCormack: Best place to find art in the city
Katie McKay: Love visiting SoWa Arts District for the artists galleries and Sunday Arts & Farmers markets. Beautiful location with lots of little shops and independent galleries to explore.
Jingle Huang: SoWa First Fridays are a good way to visit the artist studios and a good way to chat with the artists, view and buy art.
Ella Xu: We visited here after most shops had closed (5pm), and luckily some were still open! They have many small businesses which custom make their products which is fantastic, but they were not within my budget. And they have countless art studios where artists display their works and you can view them through the window. The downstairs displays were all open, and we could view the contemporary pieces from up close. The ladies were very nice and the pieces were interesting to view.
Elif Asar: Most of the galleries were open Saturday between 12-4pm. The museums are closed so I wanted to hang-out in this art district. The galleries have awesome artists and their collections. The gallery owners are very polite and they need more people traffic especially in these covid days...
Mark LaFond: The winter festival was awesome
Winnie Hsu: My friend and I were planning to go to sowa open market but we didn’t know it was not opened in November. So it was actually an accident that we found Sowa art design district and I was totally blown away by it! I love how they organization the building and all the studios. I got to see so many amazing artworks in very different forms!
Edward Barron: Lot of nice galleries but becoming very commercial.
eddie hornedo: It's nice to see people still involve in the arts . I enjoy the unique things people created.
doug g: Open studios and a chance to meet the artists. What a lovely way to spend a few hours
Stephen Silver: Great artists studios, galleries and shops
Letizia Affinito: Awesome!
Carol Meehan: If you can't find something here, forget it!

Angel Carboni: Love the MFA! I don't think words can describe how great and how important it is to go and visit! There's always new things on display and there's always events going on. As a COF student I'm able to get in for free with membership perks however the normal admission is not bad for the quality and quantity of content there is to explore at the museum! Two visits will never be the same because there's just SO much to see! Honestly could take almost a full week if you're there from opening to close to see all of it!

However walking through the Greek, Asian, European sections was incredible. Even more incredible was the Egyptian exhibit. I felt like I was getting a glimpse of a world long past. Didn't get a chance to see the whole museum before it closed. Definitely plan to come back.

Richard W: Maybe I have been spoiled by MoMA but the ICA barely had exhibits. Even though the building is massive from a distance, only one floor displayed artwork. Two of the exhibits were great; one used paper cut-outs to add texture and gossamer colors to paintings, while another used pottery to create unsettling humanoid forms. The other floors were mostly administrative offices. It seemed backwards that a museum is mostly offices instead of artwork. Good quality, lacking in quantity. It is a great place to sit down, relax, and enjoy the views, though.

The museum pieces are nice and there is a wide range of them from tapestries and paintings to an original chapel and furniture. Definitely worth going to instead of or in addition to the MFA. There’s free admission on your birthday or if your name is Isabella.
Lydia Hephzibah: Absolutely stunning! I've been desperate to visit this museum ever since I saw photos of the interior courtyard and heard about the infamous $500,000,000 art heist. Artists For Humanity: what do users think?
Bethany & Dan Cox: The site of the last big party I went to before March 2020!We are wedding photographers, and had the delight of photographing our last wedding of the 2019 season here. Little did we know it would be the last big wedding we would photograph for a year! I took the experience for granted, but as the pandemic took over the world, I reminisced about this party and what it represented. I would remember being surrounded by people in the cocktail hour space. I remembered whirling through the dance floor with the huge spinning disco ball overhead. I remembered all the cool misfits outside smoking in the chilly autumn air. It was fun to remember this space and this wedding.I think we are coming back again this year and it's going to be a powerful experience personally, to enjoy being back at it, doing our thing, surrounded by happy people at a wedding, in the same venue, now that the world has some normalcy back.
Steven Guayaquil: Venue is super cool!
Alex Saxplayer (LiveSaX): Nice place 🎷🎶
Claudia Macchiavello: Nice place to have events... the idea behind the whole place is super cool and should be supported!
Kate Wilson: We had our wedding last month at Artists for Humanity EpiCenter, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, unique, and modern venue for their event or wedding. We love the mission behind the organization, and that only added to the experience. We utilized both rooms during our reception, and it made the event feel grand. The outdoor patio was a great feature, too. On the day of the wedding, staff made us feel very relaxed and comfortable, and all of our guests loved the space.
Abigail Adams: This space is beautiful for use as a venue, but also just a magical treasure trove of overflowing creativity. Simply walking through the levels (some dedicated to creating and others to displaying) made me want to spend more time making art and appreciating the beauty of the surrounding world.
Alvester Garnett: A hip performance space with a great staff.
Faith Foley: Great venue for live music!
Phyllis Goodman: Great, comfy venue. Helpful staff.
Frances Lewis: Viewed great artwork done by teens
Sam Ribnick: Beautiful venue for a wedding
Laura Yavanian: Special Thanks to the Artists For Humanity Team as I attended my cousin's wedding on August 8th, and it was an amazing wedding enjoyed by family and friends!
Matthew Wininger: Great people. A hidden gem for finding underground artists and an amazing event space.
Nathalie P: The people and the program is absolutely Fantastic and so is the building space!!
John Camuso: The Artists for Humanity EpiCenter played host to what ended up being a dream wedding for my wife and I. Looking at venues in Boston for 250 people was a bit disheartening until Artists for Humanity was recommended to us. We knew we didn't want a hotel ballroom wedding and AFH offered us the perfect canvas. The space itself is beautiful, I'm sure you could spend thousands of dollars brining in lighting and flowers but it's entirely unnecessary. The rotating art installations are all incredible and we loved the cafe lighting that AFH offered. For our wedding we worked with Kristina and she was excellent. AFH has an exclusive catering agreement with Gourmet Catering which may sound limiting, but in the end I think was a blessing. It's clear that AFH and Gourmet have their events down to a science and Kristina worked extremely effectively with the Gourmet team. Kristina and AFH also went above and beyond, providing us with easels to use during the setup and additional supplies (tables, etc...) that we would have otherwise needed to purchase ourselves. Overall we got everything we wanted and more from AFH as a venue and Kristina as a coordinator.
Whiting Photography: I love photographing weddings at Artists for Humanity. Not only is it a funky and unique space, the staff there are all so helpful and fun. They provide paid employment in art for Boston area teens, and the artwork is all over the walls in the gallery. They even have live painting during the reception and guests can each add a little bit to the painting throughout the evening. It’s truly one of my favorite spaces for a wedding in Boston.
Jahnae Wyatt: Interview in 3 days babyy!✨
Cathy Haddad: Fabulous Venue - My company, dunnhumby INC, held their annual Strategy Meeting here in mid June for 120 people. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. AFH 's exclusive caterer, Gourmet Caterers, provided fabulous food for breakfast and lunch and were extremely professional. If you need a cool and innovative venue in the Boston area, please check them out.
Andy O: Really an awesome program and great staff. I participated way back in 1996 and visit as much as I can. The Epic Center is a tremendous event space. This program has flourished, we need more places like this all over cause everybody loves art and is an artist in their own unique way.
Lynn Julian: THE SPACE: This is a "Green" Space in South Boston. It features sky high ceilings, making it feel much larger,Huge walls are blank canvases for social media screens or art displays.THE EVENTS: Perfect for parties, this epicenterlets live entertainment interact with wall size art displays, all while offering bar service and passed food for guests. The entrance is HUGE. You can drive your car inside.TIP: Drop by their locally famous "Greatest Party On Earth!"This annual bash honors Earth Day, but the date varies.
Kristy Thibodeau: I've been the to Artists for Humanity Center for several charity events. The modern building is conveniently located in South Boston (my home base). It's a large 2 floor open space with updated art ranging from paintings to sculptures to using everyday items, such as car windows and strategically placing them as guard rails for the lofted second floor. The events I've been too have been catered with plenty of room for many vendors and floor space for dancing if necessary, which in my opinion is always necessary. I could envision this space being used also as a unique and beautiful reception venue.

Briana Svensson: We went to toddler art time on a friday morning and had a wonderful time! Sylvia was fantastic, the projects she had the kids do were great! What a cute, inspiring space to learn and create!
Emily Hanson: The friendliest place. My daughter loves making art with Sylvia and Bobby, as do I. The Corner Art Room is an incredible asset to the neighborhood.
Jeremy Solomons: This place is a gift to Brighton.
Elizabeth Schneider: Dropped in and came out with two awesome pieces of art that my toddler made. Friendly staff and comfy atmosphere. Hope to come back soon!
Regina Valeriano: Fun little space to relax and craft. Lots of classes that keeps things fresh. Love the owner too. She's hilarious and makes you feel very welcome.
Lauren Frangos: I had the best time at The Corner Art Room! I went to the vintage purse making workshop. We turned damaged vintage books into amazing purses. The teacher was fun and gave clear instructions and the people attending were so much fun. I ended up with a beautiful treasure, new friendships and a great memory! Take a workshop--there's plenty of choices every day!

Maria R: Nice place
Sundeep Kapila: Comfortable living space
Jacob Daniels: Gross school
Isaac Benito D.: Study room on floor 8/ near room 803
Jack Ross: Several things were broken when we moved in. Insulation isn't too good and you can feel the vibrations when other people are partying. Also the room is always 80 degrees the whole year, and there is nothing that can be done about it since there is only heat. Even with the heat turned off, we still had to keep the windows open in the middle of winter to get it down below 80. Not the best experience.
Caterina: Better then treehouse and Smith
toshia jones: I think my son will really enjoy this dorm and the WiFi is awesome plus I was sold on the studio like rooms

XV Beacon Hotel: what do users think?
محمدمهدی محمدقلیها: عالی من نرفتم شما رفتید اینجا جای ما رو خالی کنید
Calen Riggs: I booked the classic room through Amex Travel and was promptly upgraded to a Studio, which is their version of a suite. Everything was well-coordinated and efficient and the entire stay from 4/24-4/29 was excellent. Everyone here were friendly and down-to-earth for a place that is on the higher-end in the city. Overall, just a pleasant experience and certainly a place worth coming back to.Rooms: The first impression of walking into the room was almost like walking into a library or a museum. The Studio I was in was spacious, clean, and rather opulent. The TV was modern (unlike a lot of hotels in the city), the fireplace was a wonderful touch, and the beds were rather comfortable. The mattress was on the stiffer side, but nothing to be upset about. What was also nice is the fact you can open the windows to allow fresh air in. You don't see that often. The bathrooms were also exquisite, as well.Walkability: The hotel is in Beacon Hill, so a lot of historical sights are within a 5-minute walk. Granary Burial and King's Chapel cemeteries are nearby and The Freedom Trail is essentially around the corner. Boston Common was also less than a 10-minute walk away, as well. The high-end shopping of Copley is also around a mile away and certainly walkable if the weather is nice. The hotel is in a great spot depending on what you are looking for.Food & drinks: Mooo is attached to the hotel and is accessible through the lobby. The menu is extensive, especially the wine - which is something they are known for. In terms of food and the quality everything was great. The Meatballs and Dumplings were amazing. The Beef Wellington, to me, is one of the best in the city. Mooo isn't cheap, but the portion sizes were large and everything was cooked properly. To me, it is worth coming back for.
Green Space: Worst airport pickup ever - 25 min looking for the driver until I managed to leave the airport. So regardless of the hotel (I did not arrive yet) don’t book airport pickup with the hotel, it is a nightmare. One more thing: the ride from the airport to the hotel was less than 25 min 😂😂.
Michael Nam-Krane: I had a huge legal case and I stayed here to be close to the court house. This is the perfect hotel if you are doing important legal work in Boston. The rooms are great to work in. A P: I am a 24yo female. What started with a great evening with girlfriends at the property, ended up being terrorized and intimidated by a driver named Valentine Kogan who took me appart at 11PM and didn’t let me leave the hotel’s car service. He would stare and stand close enough to me that I felt he had an er_ction. He’s 70. I gave him money so he leaves me alone and I was able to run away.

Robert Hofmann: Really a hidden gem. Excellent room and the attention to service is one of the best in Boston. We travel also with our two small dogs and they treat them like Royalty! Its our go to hotel when we come to Boston. Beats hands down the other 5 star hotel down the street at double the price. Also, Mooo! Is one of the best steak houses in the Northeast and is attached to the hotel. Make reservations as books early. Great location, great rooms and best team running this hotel!
Stephen Oesterle: Great hotel. Wonderful attentive staff. Choice loation
ST: We have stayed at this property twice and absolutely love it! It's not a large high traffic place to stay. It has a quiet personal feel. The service is outstanding and in an age where going the extra mile to make guests feel at home is hard to find it's alive and well here. The in town driver service is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond. Thank you for another great stay!
Lisa Boston: I am as well one of the woman who escaped an attempted assault and was a victim of racketeering by a driver named “Valentine”. Strong accent, taller guy, intimidating vibe.I used to love coming to the hotel’s restaurant or bar as it used to be on my way from work. Some officers at the Boston Police are known to be shady and not do much with cases of assault or domestic violence, so don’t think the PD will do anything if you call for help. The police officers are misogynists and have a lot of “violation conduct” in their profile. The hotel does not operate objectively like a typical business. If allegations/with proof and correct descriptions were made at a 5 stars establishment like the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton (that I know well) they would have fired the individual within a week. The hotel staff is very aware this happened as It’s impossible to invent such details, or a precise description.None of the young women who made the claims are related to the hospitality industry nor are competitors.
Kevin M.: Luxury defined. These guys know how to put it on. Highly recommended. Family and pet friendly as well. Location is outstanding and the fireplaces are a nice touch.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Bob Faust: Unbelievable experience from the moment we arrived all the way to the moment we departed..the car service was extremely convenient and Mark and Valentine were exceptional and extremely friendly
Chris Kaftan: My wife and I stayed for one night to celebrate my birthday. We wanted to check out this hotel as it was recommended. There are three reasons why we're giving this place 2 stars and nothing more. The room was very nice in regards to amenities and the bathroom setup. The staff at the hotel were nice, and the valet/bellhop was also very nice. The reason we did not give this hotel a higher rating is because we had constant problems with HVAC all night. Our thermostat was set at 69 and it kept blowing cool and hot air alternating all night. It was a miserable night for us. We also did not have a positive experience eating breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The server did not listen to us and ignored my wife, and my breakfast was overcooked. For the cost we paid for breakfast, it was a disappointment. I hope the hotel management takes our concerns about HVAC and restaurant quality seriously for future guests who stay at this place.

Eleanor Cepko: Love this gallery. One of the only galleries in Boston with true quality control. This gallery only shows modern masters from the New England area. Whether you are an appreciator or collector of timeless and moving oil paintings, look no further. The monthly events they host are also very informative and fun with great artworld mingling. The current director, Alex, is a treat to work with. He has an extensive knowledge of all the artists shown there and of art history in general. Definitely worth a look if you're in Boston for a visit or seeking to expand your collection.
Joseph Wu: Elegant, bright gallery mainly of oil of high realism and quality. Numerous attractive, pleasing and irresistible pieces.
