I came into the store with a list of items needed for my architecture class and little to no knowledge where to even begin.I want to give a special thank you to Hana for coming to my aid. First of all, she took the time to carefully select the appropriate items I needed and gave me recommendations on what she thought was best for me. Not only that, she answered all my questions adequately and made sure I understood what I was getting. Additionally, she even took the time out of her day to write me a list of the few items that weren’t available in the store and signed me up for a student account to which I will receive the student discount, which I was formerly not aware off.All in all, my time at Blick’s was a successful one and if I ever need to come back for anything arts related again, I will definitely be back. Hailey Manin: So I actually love this place and frequent it quite often. The main staff are all fantastic and quick to offer help but I have noticed on multiple occasions the employees getting yelled at and berated by what I assume is the "manager" if you can even call her that. I'm posting this in hopes that upper management at blick will see the abuse this "manager" has been inflicting on your employees. Please take notice and replace that horrid women before she makes another one of your employees cry.

Cassie Allen: I have absolutely no complaints about the staff, I have found them all to be very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, I have found the prices at this location to be quite steep. They are higher than ordering directly off of Blick’s website and it seems like every time I get something it rings up higher than the shelf price. I’m sure this is due to the downtown location, but it’s about 20% more expensive than ordering online, which is good to be aware of for budget-conscious artists out there.Edit: I have updated this review to 4 stars from 3 stars given the information on the price match from Scout. I did not give 5 stars because it did take me a while to find the information on Blick’s website and you can’t sign up online from what I can tell (at no fault of the staff at this location). The web match rebate also factors in the cost of shipping at $7.95 on purchases under $69, so it’s still in your best interest to spend more. These are all things I wish I had known before shopping here, but I will likely visit again and use this price match.

Tyler Motes: This is one of my favorite places to get simple supplies. I wish they carried more for fountain pens, but one store can’t have everything. The staff have always been extremely nice and the prices are fair.
Sahar Tariq: Best quality curated materials, they take the guesswork out of which stuff is good quality and which stuff is just children's crafty by keeping everything that is good quality, you can't go wrong. Highly recommend the store brand stuff, they're not so pricey but yet amazing professional quality. Also the staff are super nice and friendly, and go out of their way to be helpful, both in the store and at rhe printing section. It may seem a bit small but that's because they don't fill the store with junk. Also, the other art store across the street has a habit of racially profiling and being so creepy, but Blick has always been my favourite place with super nice people.

I called before coming and the message on their phone does not suggest that it’s open for the school community only. The security person was pretty rude and told me that they do not want visitors. I was wearing a mask and I had my vaccination record. I wish the store communicated their new policy more clearly.

Arts District Boston: Dorchester Art Project has been serving the community for years. This is the best place for local artists! Rent their theater out for cool underground music shows or check out their awesome studio spaces Make sure to go to a gallery show or see a local band play and support local artists!

Anything can happen at DAP, and the events there are affordable to throw and fantastic to go to! I'm always really happy with the experiences I have at DAP and I wish I could get out there more. Parking is easy and it's accessible by the Red Line and many different buses. While you're there, make sure to support the nearby local businesses and restaurants!

David Stokle: I’ve been getting my artworks printed and framed at Blick on Park Drive, for the last several years. These guys in the printing and framing department are just great. I’m happy to express my gratitude in particular to the two Christina’s and to Zoe. As artists themselves, they pay close attention to the details in my sometimes complicated orders and they are always very patient and helpful in sharing their advice when it comes for me to choose the right type of framing and or colored mats for my artworks. There is a sense of comaraderie among the staff in this shop. It’s a feel good place. I look forward to my “Blick visits” and always leave the shop feeling a little more inspired to complete whatever art project I’m working on. Yeah, five stars for these guys. And Brad too. The person I spoke with didn't know the item I was asking about even existed, but after a few minutes on hold said they carried it. I came in and another store associate looked around and said they didn’t have it. I later called and got the first person I talked to, she told me to come by again and she'd find it for me. It turns out she didn't know they had it in stock but the manager had just told her they probably have it. Then she confirmed she didn’t know where it was, and had me go look myself, and of course I didn't find it. Waist of stairs.

Kelly Cambridgeport: The MFA Boston Bookstore & Gift Shop has a large selection of merchandise in different price points for the art lover in your life. Postcards, magnets, pins, scarves, jewelry, toys, books, prints, journals, plush animals, and much more. There are at least 3 gift shops within thr MFA. One is in the exhibit area, one is to the left at the Huntington Avenue entrance, and one is near the small cafe by the theater.
