Boston's Best Babysitters: what do users think?
Marirose: This agency is #1 in terms of caring for my children; professionalism; reasonable rates; attention to detail with each of my children, such as appropriate developmental understanding and hence appropriate activities for each of my children; down-to-earth caring and competency, including ongoing training thanks to the owner, Jennifer. Each caregiver I've had the pleasure to know has up-to-date First Aid and CPR training, along with a "nanny bag" filled with their very own unique "bag of tricks" that includes multiple activities to do, just as well as the fictional Mary Poppins could delight each child within her care.I hope this agency will be around for a long time with the consistent caring I've already witnessed to meet my family's needs (even at the last minute) and providing restful times like reading books, along with the other activities I mentioned above...appropriate developmental activities that make even my shyest child feel welcomed and cared for.I've used this agency multiple times and can honestly say my children are kept safe in their care, are never bored, yet are able to rest when needed. When my children don't want to leave or don't want the caregiver to go (depending on the pre-arranged circumstances, I know I fortunately have found the right people for my children to be cared for. Thanks Boston's Best Babysitters (and nannies) for all you do to care for people's children. You're truly the best!!

Boston Collegiate Nannies: what do users think?
jaylene pagan: Got hired and was told I would be promised the hour and shifts I needed. Once I got hired the schedule was very inconsistent didn’t get the hours I needed. Made me travel to far homes out of the travel range I was promised. The job was not what they told me it would be and didn’t promise me the hours or days I wanted. Very disappointed in this company. They schedule you homes extremely last minuete and you never know your shift until 24-48 hours ahead. Do not recommend.
Marianne Mealey: They have deadlines to get in documents before you interview with the company and if they aren’t in 24 hours in advance you cannot interview. I had to reschedule my interview twice because of work and being sick but don’t give someone a deadline for documents before they even decide if they are interested in your positions. There are so many agencies out there, seek elsewhere. These people are rude and condescending.
FreeTreeHugss: I recently started working with Boston Collegiate Nannies earlier this month and I am very pleased with everything so far.My sister, who just started a position through BCN, referred me to them. I have been pleasantly surprised by the whole. Lydia and all of the staff have been very helpful and punctual. They respond to emails in a timely manner and are working very hard to keep the process as quick as possible.BCN takes the hard work out of the job search. From start to finish they assist you in finding a job. From interviewing you before they send your information to a family each time to checking in regularly to see how things are going. They even have a free training for each nanny called the “Savvy Sitter” training. It goes over the ins and outs of being a nanny.I am excited to finalize everything and start my new position soon. This is my first time working with an agency and I don’t think I’ll go back to looking for a job without one.
Rosalind Prather: I recommend any of our clients headed to the Boston area to Lydia at Boston Collegiate Nannies. Lydia is a true professional who operates with complete integrity and is a respected nanny industry expert. For families seeking the VIP treatment and the highest quality nanny candidates, look no further!
Ali Barranco: BCN helped me find my job as a nanny for a great family. They were extremely easy to work with and made the job finding process a breeze. It can be very difficult to find the right childcare job, but they connected me with a loving and flexible family in just two weeks. I love LOVE the kids I work with and the parents are great bosses.

Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny | Boston Overnight Newborn Care and Nanny Placement Agency: what do users think?
Chelsea Viglas: The team at Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny are incredible! Isylah was beyond helpful as we welcomed our first child into the world. She was kind, gentle and extremely knowledgable. We cannot thank her enough for the support she provided our family in a very vulnerable time. THANK YOU!!
M: We had a terrific experience working with BBNN and would highly recommend them, especially to any new parents. I can’t speak highly enough of Isylah and Gnagna specifically, who were attentive, supportive and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you!
Lucy Miranda: Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny is great! Tanya and Kaitlen were very helpful from the beginning. Tanya kept in contact with me throughout the whole process of finding the right family for me. Kaitlen provided me with some great tips for my first time meeting the family.
Pamela Pierre: We worked with Courtney to sleep train our 5 month old daughter. From the very first meeting with Courtney to develop a sleep plan, you could tell how passionate and caring Courtney was going to be. She listened to the issues we were having and our current schedule and provided us a detailed plan on how to tackle our sleep issues. We also had Courtney come out for Night 1 and Night 3 of sleep training as we just wanted the extra support since this was our first child. I had many questions about the approach and Courtney took time to answer each one so that I felt more comfortable before we began the process. Courtney also continued to follow up for several weeks to see how we and our daughter were doing with the program. Courtney was so awesome to have to help us through this time with our daughter and it was so nice to have someone you knew cared almost as much about your child as you did and wanted the best for her. Thank you again Courtney for all your time and for continuously checking in with us to see how things were going. It really made sleep training so much less stressful knowing we had someone who could answer any questions or concerns we had real time.
Margot Sigur: I can’t say enough good things about Courtney! We worked with her to get our then 10 mo’s sleep figured out because he was still needing to be nursed multiple times a night and would only nap on my lap, and our previous attempts at pick-up/put-down and Ferber hadn’t really worked. I had such a great conversation with her to start and she gave us an incredibly detailed and super helpful sleep plan. It was based on the conversation we had had (about all the details of his day, his nursing habits, our home), which made it way more helpful than the more generic recommendations I was finding online. Within a week we were noticing a big difference! Being able to text her with questions was amazing. We tried so many things to help with his sleep, and working with her was by far the most helpful. I’ve been telling every parent I know about her!
Amanda Hyslip: Boston Baby Nurse and Nanny made it super easy for me to find the perfect nanny placement. Tanya was amazing at helping me find my family and setting up interviews.
Melissa Danforth: We have had such a positive experience with Boston Baby Nurse! As first time parents, weencountered the typical newborn sleep challenges and needed some help to make sure our little one was getting the rest she needed. Christine has been so amazing with her, used her vast experience to address her sleep issues and we have all gotten much needed rest! Plus, Christine helped us gain the confidence to continue good habits even when she isn’t there! I appreciate Bryn taking the time to match us with the right person for our sleep needs. Would definitely recommend!
Tara Sales: Courtney Poirier was an incredible resource and supporter for us during a hard four month sleep regression period! We were fully supporting our son to fall asleep and did not know where to even begin to help him fall asleep more independently. Courtney talked through a plan that worked for us and her continued check ins and suggestions were so helpful! Our son is now sleeping through the night and we are all so much more well rested! I will continue to use this company and suggest it to my parent friends if they need some support or helpful tips!
Caroline Dabney: We found a lovely nanny that is fitting in with our family just so perfectly. The team at Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny helped us every step of the way to ensure we found the right person for our twins and had all of the appropriate documentation ready to go so we did not have to think through every last detail.
Danielle Applebaum: Claire at BBNN is amazing! She was so kind and transparent with me. I felt that I could be honest with her and like I was talking to a friend. This was my first time working with a nanny agency and everyone at BBNN was so warm and welcoming. They gave me every opportunity to find the right fit. They were available pretty much 24/7 and always replied quickly. They helped me set up interviews with potential families and always checked in with me after. I knew that I could trust them to find a wonderful family for me to work with. I was so happy and grateful when we did find a perfect match. BBNN made the transition to my new nanny family easy and made sure I got everything that I needed & deserved. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good childcare position. Thank you BBNN & especially Claire.
Molly Germanese: An emphatic 5-stars! We had a wonderful experience with BBNN. Bryn was incredibly responsive, flexible and understanding while our newborn night nurse was always on time, respectful and was wonderful with our newborn daughter. Highly recommend to any parents with newborn babies looking for a few nights of good sleep and a recharge.
Anna Caroline Farias: This is the second time I’ve worked with Boston Baby Nurse. Both times they were super helpful! This time I worked with Sarah, which is the most helpful person. She made the whole process so easy, smooth, and quick. Within one week I was placed with an amazing family and I am super happy with everything.
Jillian Rex: It was wonderful to work with the Boston Baby Nurse and Nanny agency. Specifically, Sarah was quick to respond to any questions I had, which was more than helpful throughout my search process.
Nicole DiPersio: I had a great experience working with Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny. Claire was fantastic! She was so friendly and explained everything to me, answering all my questions. She found a family match very quickly. I would highly recommend this agency!
Emma Gabriel: I have worked with Amy Tierney over the past year. She has been patient, responsive, and understanding. She took the time to know what I was looking for in a family and kept me up to date with new positions. They also did a seamless job of connecting me with the families for interviews and briefing the families on my experience. I would highly recommend working with this agency.
Brooklynn Besner: I highly recommend BBN&N! I switched nannying locations and was astounded by the care I was given when working to find a suitable position for myself. Tanya in particular was the best resource in ensuring we found a great match for both me and the family. I am happy to say that I am off the market as of now, but truly grateful for the individualized passion I received with this company. In the past I have worked with many other companies and received a varied experience. Many times, it feels as though agencies "throw bodies at families" per say with submitting as many nannies as possible in their system. This was different. The privacy of their system didn't leave me out of touch with the families but bring us closer in the idea of respecting each side of the nanny-hood coin. As I stated Tanya for me was the budding resource that truly was the icing on the cake. She ensured that I was treated respectfully and fairly with each family I interviewed with. Though many times it was challenging to find the right fit she truly guided me through the process!
Rosa Moreira: After months of working with this agency and having the support of my favorite nanny recruiter(Claire), I was placed with an awesome family. Claire was always checking in on me, she encouraged me to apply for my current position. Claire along with Kaitlen and Sarah believed in me and didn’t let me give up. I recommend this agency to parents and nannies. 10/10!
Rebecca Beausejour: Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny truly helped ease our transition to being a family of five. The entire process - from our initial inquiry with the company to direct infant care - was seamless. Our needs and wants were met consistently, with stellar communication from all BBN&N employees. We felt incredibly comfortable with the Newborn Care Experts who worked with our baby girl, which allowed me to get the peaceful rest that I needed during the initial twelve weeks of her life. I have been, and will continue to, recommend BBN&N to all parents welcoming a new baby into their family. It was an enormous help for our family and I wish we had used the services with our first two children!
Allison D'Amelio: Sarah was amazing! She was so quick with everything and got me a job in less than a week!!!! I'm so thrilled to be working with the family Sarah helped me get. Highly recommend working with Sarah P. to find your dream job!
Catherine Quatrano: My husband and I have used Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny twice to find full-time nannies. The agency made the process extremely easy. They helped us navigate the nanny process as first time parents and most recently, knew exactly what we were looking for in our 2nd nanny hire when we were expecting our 2nd baby. When we needed to part ways with our first nanny, we immediately emailed Sarah and didn’t consider finding a nanny another way. The nanny candidates are highly qualified and pre-vetted. The agency helps you answer all of the questions you don’t know you have until you’re deep in the process. Highly recommend!
Alexandra Sheridan: LOVED the whole team at BBN, who helped us line up the perfect nanny at very short notice!

Boston Nanny Centre, Inc.: what do users think?
Christine Zuppa: Boston Nanny service has been incredible for the babysitting subscription! We have wonderful local sitters but were looking to find someone who was experienced with a toddler and new baby for some date nights.Sarah is communicative & thorough in coordinating plans and answered all of my questions! She connected us with an amazing and very experienced local sitter. She walked in and knew exactly what to do and what we all needed! We will continue to use this service to supplement our childcare and can’t recommend it enough!
jennifer nagle: I have had the privilege of being a nanny at the Boston Nanny Centre for over 30 years. I absolutely love working with them! They are warm and very professional. The families I’ve been paired with love them too!! I look forward to continuing my nanny journey with them! ♥️
Bailey L.: There are too many agencies in the same area to settle for Boston Nanny Centre. Rather than upload examples from emails of how unprofessional and rude they are, it’s best to tell you about my experience. This is not everything in it’s entirety. I am using an Alias, as they will be the first to suggest I’ve got the wrong agency. Read the other negative reviews as well.At first they were very kind and efficient, but in the end, they did not care about what is in the best interest for the family and for the Nanny. They will turn it around and blame you, but they tried to pressure me into accepting a position before I signed the contract, knowing full well that I had a change of heart. This would not be in my best interest, but especially not the family’s.They also “slipped in” details of responsibilities in the contract, that were never discussed nor in any descriptions relating to the family. They used bullying methods to try and get me to accept a position, by telling me things to make me feel guilty about the parent and child, they claimed I knew about, but never mentioned to me in any discussion or email. They also strung another family along (I had two offers simultaneously) until I decided which position I was leaning towards, even though I clearly stated in multiple emails that I had reservations with that one family, and most likely wouldn’t be interested, regardless of my decision with the competing family. I was told over a phone conversation, “It’s not like they have anyone else so they are willing to wait”. Once I expressed interest in the other family, only then in an email did I read, “I agree, you have too many reservations for it to be a match”. I was then informed the Mom would be “shocked”. If that Mom only knew how she was being strung along….. I wonder if this was done so that family would not seek out a competing agency? I’ll never know.At times a business deal doesn’t go through, even after a contract is signed, but clearly all they care about is the money. The family I initially expressed I would want to Nanny for was very classy and supportive of my decision, even though they really wanted me to join them and were clearly disappointed. The agency should use this example as to how they should behave. If something doesn’t go their way, they turn on you in such an unkind and brutal way. If the family was even aware of how the agency handled this, I have no doubt they would walk away as well. Had I accepted the position in writing to make all parties happy other than myself, in the long run it would have been worse for all.How you are left feeling at the end of a business deal, regardless of the outcome, is a true reflection of who you were doing business with. If you are looking for a business with integrity, this is not the one. After posting this, you can read below the response that is completely no excuse for mistreating a candidate. It is an extremely common business phenomenon, that one decides to stay at their current position after giving notice. Contracts such as marriages don’t work out either. It is the fault of the agency for not advising their clients to hold off on informing their children of an acceptance, until after the contract is signed. Even then, people in the business world walk away. I had not signed the contract, and as I stated, they added things in there that would have caused me to walk away regardless. They are extremely manipulative and only care about the loss of the placement fee. I would expect them to defend themselves on here, but they should be grateful I did not share their unprofessional behaviors and games that they played with the families or upload the emails.
Casey Brady: Great experience using the Boston Nanny Center to watch our boys during the Boston Marathon. Highly recommend this nanny service!
Erica Renwick: I have been a nanny for Boston nanny Centre for almost 4 years now. I have also been apart of there babysitting jobs when I am not nannying. Boston Nanny Centre has been a great place to work for, they are incredibly helpful and have found me families I have loved working with. I feel like any time there is an issue or a question that I have, they are always right there to help me. If you are looking for a nanny or or becoming a nanny, I highly recommend Boston nanny Centre! You won’t regret it!
Hilary Newland: Boston Nanny was phenomenal! We had tried for a couple of months to find a nanny through things like Care.com or Sitter City and didn't have any luck. Boston Nanny took the time to understand what we needed and was important to us and then found us the perfect person for our family. We are so grateful and knowing our kids are so happy while we work is priceless.
Govind Anand: Positive:Professionalism,Reliability,Responsiveness,Value
Betsy Backe: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessMy husband and I came to Boston for a long weekend and needed someone to watch our 4 month old. Boston Nanny Centre took away all my worries. They found us a reliable, responsible, positive nanny for the entire weekend. It was well worth the cost to know that my baby was in good hands.
L D: Unfortunately we didn’t make a match after many weeks of working with this agency. I feel that the agency doesn’t have enough suitable candidates versus number of families they take on. This results in families competing unfairly (in my view) and the nanny ultimately holding all the cards making unreasonable demands. They also don’t seem to realize that the reason you are looking for a nanny in the first place is because you work full time and have children, hence always can’t respond to a call or email immediately. They made this seem like my fault which I didn’t appreciate
Kelley Porter: I would highly recommend using Boston nanny center, Inc. for assistance in placement. I have found them to be helpful, responsive, attentive, and easy to work with. They have been highly responsive to both emails and phone calls offering a quick turnaround time. Any questions I had about potential positions they were able to assist in answering. While working with them on placement you can tell they have both the families and nanny’s best interest at heart. It is imperative to make sure the nanny is a good match for the family and they put the proper protocols in place for the vetting process. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future should I need to begin work with a new family. Their support and professionalism is unmatched.
Krishna Gullapalli: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,ResponsivenessI’ve worked with this company for at least 1 yr+ and they always send the most professional and attentive babysitters. They’re always quick to respond and are our go to anytime we need a sitter :)
Todd Rio: They are amazing!!! I could not speak more highly of Boston Nanny Centre. They have provided better nannies than I could have imagined. Not only did we get an exceptional nanny, but we also got other forms of extremely valuable support, such as use of their contract and temp nannies to fill in any temporary needs. They are so responsive. But beyond everything else, they simply care! They offer professional and empathetic nannies, and have just been wonderfully nice to work with!
Wendy Butler: I came across BNC in the late 90's while looking for a change in employment. They were an agency that provided professional childcare to families in need. So, I applied and they were truly a Godsend to me! I continued to work with them for many years to come. The entire staff is AMAZING and always willing to go above and beyond when it comes to helping their clients and nannies! I could go on and on about how wonderful they are but all I can say is, if you're looking for a nanny, go to BNC bc you won't be disappointed:)
Beth Coleman O'Keefe: Having started my career as a teenager, I have now been in this field for more than 45 years. Always I have found and contracted with my own clients by word-of-mouth. Several years ago, when signing with an agency was fairly new in our our field, it seemed to me to be a good idea to keep a connection this way. Of course there were extensive applications (some on the edge of ludicrous), and interviews. Of these, only one conducted an in-person interview: Boston Nanny Centre. This meeting was less like an interview and more like a conversation with a friend; the woman I spoke with shared as many of her own nanny-stories as I did! While the other agencies were solely interested in qualifications, BNC, once they had those from me, seemed to be more interested in Who I Was. As they spoke of their clients, it was clear that they were more interested in them as people also. They spoke of these families in terms of personality and humour and affection and relationship, all of which are important to a nanny's happiness and success in her work, not just the ages and quantity of children and whether or not you're willing to do Russian Math classes with them. Every agent at BNC is truly invested in pairing the best family and nanny together. BNC actually approached me last year while I was living out of state because they felt that they had that perfect pairing with myself and a family who was moving into Boston. The care and lengths they went to in order to make it happen was truly impressive! And once the connection was made, BNC maintained both a respectful distance and a we're-here-if-you-need-us relationship. I've been with my "unicorn family" for a year, we just re-signed our contract, and I couldn't be happier. The agency even sent me a personally noted and signed birthday card!Thank you, Boston Nanny Centre! ❤
Sara Quirk: Positive:Professionalism,Reliability,ResponsivenessBoston Nanny Centre has been so easy and wonderful to work with. I am a teacher and use their services mostly during the summer to connect with families seeking a summer nanny. They make the process so easy and convenient to find a family who is a good match for everyone involved.
Tyler McKenney: Positive:Professionalism,Reliability,Responsiveness,ValueOut of all the agencies in Boston, BNC is by far the most professional. I have never worked with a more skilled, thoughtful team than theirs. I had a wonderful experience and plan to work exclusively with them in the future.
Colleen Yavarow: Positive:Professionalism,Responsiveness
Matthew Pfund: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness
Diana isabel Delgado lopera: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness
Cynthia Rosemberg: This happened February 2017.I had quit a job they placed me because it was a very stressing environment.Three people left after me at her office.Unfortunately,I got this email from the agency :Cynthia,I'm so sorry, but unfortunately I don't think I can assist you in your next search. The termination letter we have in your file from the Pfamily would have to be in your BNC portfolio for prospective employers to read, and given their feedback (justified or not), I don't think we would have any success in finding a placement for you. I know you are a GREAT nanny and have a heart of gold - and any family would be lucky to have you. I hope you know how much I value you as a professional nanny.Warm regards,*I was in complete shock as I have worked As a nanny for 13 years.I now have been with my nanny family for 3 years that another agency placed me so it was a blessing in disguise. My first impression was so good I thought they were kind and sweet to me in the whole process.I am still hurt but thankful that happened.
