Barnes & Noble at Boston University: what do users think?
Everett Harman: My daughter will start BU in the fall and we went there to get BU apparel. There was a very nice selection of BU gear and the quality was high. As expected for any licensed apparel, prices were high but just a little more than online, where you can't judge the quality.
Maria Capuano Iraci: Great for BU gear
Doug Griffith: There is a good selection of BU items, especially clothing. They also have cups, mugs, notebooks, etc. Prices are what you'd expect--fairly high. The main floor has most of the clothes, especially men's; upstairs has a bit more, and that is mostly women's, plus some clearance racks for both men and women. Clearance prices are good if you can find something you like in your size.
laura wegs: Sizes are way off and return process costs $20! So you lose money and don't get a product that fits. Amazon will take over because of this type of business
Leonard Mosca: I've always liked Barnes and nobles bookstore they have amazing selections of books and games and strategy guides well they used to at least and they have so many other things in there which makes it all around kind of shop for books magazines and anything you can think of you won't be disappointed and the online catalog has amazing selections
Hari Subramanian: Like someone else said in reviews, it is a BU merchandise store with a small collection of books, not at all a typical B&N. BU Merchandise is generally overpriced, especially the above-average apparel is. Not sure if the overprice is a function of B&N corporate or BU business team or both
박해나파: Unkind
Claudia Romanczukiewicz: Loved visiting the bookstore at Boston University.
Kit Parker: I remember when University bookstores used to be a pretty cool place to go and visit. Now it's just a sweatshirt store with stationary
Jeffrey Marquez: Went for BU gear
Margaux Ilyse Krembs Epter: cute bookstore! lots of options
Wulida Wahidatul Masruria: Niceee store
#becausedan: Official BU merchandise. And book store with supplies.
Aisha Gi: Lovely place with great products
Ed M: More of a souvenir shop really
Beatriz Cóbreces: Although they didn't have the book I was looking for, the shop is nice, well stocked & the member of staff that helped me was professional, kind & knowledgeable!
Kristine Schmalenberg: All the merch you could want
Betsy Camacho: Muy bien clasificado y encontré los libros q mis hijas querían, feliz.
Ann Duffy: Lots of BU stuff but definitely overpriced.
Juan M. Berthin: Good store, excellent customer service!!
Dino Quintero: Thank you. I enjoyed visiting and purchasing a few souvenirs.

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Holly Reyes: We love Barnes and Noble ! My kids could get lost for hours looking for books / reading books. The staff is super nice! 10/10 consistent visits.
Blunder1967 Ortiz: Very pleased, always organized and easy to find the book I want, as long is in stock
Peter Rack: Huge variety of books and games for the kids. Nice coffee shop also. Very clean
Yulia Berry: It is nice that Barnes & Noble is still around, at least at some locations. And the store is nice, you can spend a lot of time there looking through books or sitting in the cafeteria. The reson why I took off two stars is for the service. After paying for 5 books (all expensive), the cashier just pushed books into the window and said to take them. When I asked her if she has a bag to put the books in (5 new books, they are heavy, I can drop them, it is raining outside at the moment, etc - do I really have to explain all this to her after making a big purchase or ANY purchase 🙄🙄🤦‍♀️), she made a face, looked at me like I just stole something from her personally and slowly said with a hesitation: yes... then pushed a small paper bag through the window at the register. No "thank you for purchase", no smile.Am I surprised that Barnes & Noble stores go out of business? No. If I was shopping online, I could save A LOT of money. There are Amazon, Ebay, Abe Books, Barnes and Noble website, Facebook Marketplace, other online private stores, and so on.I was instead driving to this store to get expensive books ($22-$25 each) because I miss this experience of holding an actual book in hands before buying it.Will I come any time soon after this ridiculous issue? No, thank you. 🤦‍♀️
Sean Carney: You can always find something good to read here, and the baristas at the cafe make great coffees. All of the staff are super helpful as well.
BoBByCharles AppleBy: So many books, so little time. This place is awesome!!!
Eric: Good selection of manga available
RJ Hanrahan: It's good; a good selection, clean and organized. I find to to be hit or miss with the staffing.
peter l Brown: Found my books right away !
Cassandra Asvestas: Helpful folks, expanded back area to get rid of dvds!
Joshua H.: Solid bookstore with helpful staff
Jonathan Lefebvre: Love it now because it's become a toy store/Newbury comics.
annette jacobs: Great bookstore carrying lots of variety; giction; non-fiction; good childrens' book section
Lil Goth: I love Barns and Noble and Starbucks. No complaints. Workers are nice, it’s warm in there, very clean-looking and well lit.
Trevor: Kids corner was a life saver for me and my toddler.
Silas Pritchard: Great store, excellent selection of new and classic fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between.
Cathy Lindley: If you need anime for anyone they have an expert that suggested a brand new series thats now just being promoted online.
Yashwitaa Davluri: Very well organized! Found everything I needed. I always love bookstores and this place did not disappoint!
john waldman: Reading is Fundamental.
S W: Super kind people & easy to get some holiday shopping done!

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Joni Campos: I could spend all day here! Beautiful store. Not just books, but tons of cool gifts and games. Check out the book annex next to the cafe for some great deals, especially if you're looking for affordable coffee table books.
Elizabeth L: The outlets at the cafe don’t work and you can’t sit on the floor at the working outlets around the store(I know it’s a safety hazard, but at least fix the ones at the cafe)
Helen Hensley: Love this store. The help is always there. They sell so many different types of books. Very clean
David Houghton: friendly staff
Gina Gazza: I love going here. This store is ALWAYS clean, and no matter how busy it gets, It's still very quiet. I can read without being interrupted while I'm having tea or coffee. It is a great place. It is my place when I need to escape. I had 1 problem 2 years ago... I had them order me a certain book and when I got it it was the wrong one. Beside that this place is GREAT!!
Joyce Pellegrino: I needed a book and they ordered it for me over the phone. They emailed me 3 days later that it was at store held at cashier for me to pick up .While there I browsed and found a great book on budgeting on a display near front along with great stationary sets . Staff were helpful and had a warm attitude. They smell of coffee all around was also mood pleasing.
Lara Dionne: Decently sized store. Has cafe. Clean bathrooms. Magazines are usually a disaster area.
Joseph Chow: Perfect for waiting the 435 or 436 bus to Central Square, Lynn. There are two separate areas: one for toys and games, and the other for children's books. They sell UNO Ultimate expansion packs for $6.
Virginia Todd: Any place that sells books is a wonderful place
Melissa: Nice store. Great place to grab some Starbucks and browse on a hot/cold day (when you don't want to be outside). Always cute stationery and lots of Legos in the toy section.
Jenny O: I Always find every book I'm looking for, and more
Bobby Conlon: Easy parking and friendly staff on a Monday night. Stopped in to meet a friend at B&N —- perfect
G G: Typical B&N, great coffee, acceptable parking
Derek Deacon: Sci Fi section has shrunk
Kathy A Pratt: I always love to spend time relaxing and poking around in Barnes and Noble. Then a cappuccino with a sweet bite while I'm thumbing through my selections to decide which ones to bring home!
Tyson Goodridge: I know it’s hard to hire and keep people. But you opened up at 10am and it took 20 minutes to buy a book. We had to buy it at the Starbucks cafe inside. 5 employees on the floor. 1 behind the register. The other 4 avoiding the register altogether.
Joao Oliveira: Awesome
Kay Robertson: Yippee books
david andrews: Claims this location has the book of interest in stock. Employees claim it’s misplaced and can’t find it. Doubt this place will be opened much longer. Nice employees though..
Gary Tompkins: Huge book store with a great selection
Janet Burt: Huge selection

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
Leandra Ninobla: When we last went, it was crazy there because the store was closing and everything was half off. Even with so many customers, the staff was very kind. They'll be opening down the street in the spring!
Elias Gonzalez Rogel: Everything was 50% off because they're about to close this store. It's so sad to see such a big store half empty, like an ill person.
Denise Zadina: The place is a mess. No rhyme or reason as to how the titles/authors are displayed. Guess that's what happens when you're moving and have 50% off! Not the employee's fault. They are trying their best.
Nancy Ann: Good store, but closing soon.
Madisyn Sofiya “Miss All Sunday” Knox: default location - I wish they would have kept the Prudential location open. The selection is usually meh and 9 times out 10 when I go, I end up ordering the book online. My son enjoys it and I enjoy grabbing Starbucks.
Matthew Lincoln: Good place for books, supplies, movies, and music. They have a wide selection of everything and currently ha e a good sale going.
Mr Jenkins: my dad went to check out a book i stayed in the car and he never came back
Jack Burton: Dec 6, 2022. I've made 6 trips to B&N Framingham in 2 months. I've had my coupons refused 3x and another I had to drag up from my email and even then was given a hard time. I had a cashier not acknowledge another 10% off coupon just pretended it went through on my last transaction; likely because the line was held up by people not getting their coupons to work either.Friday night, I saw a very elderly woman make $100 in purchases with a coupon which granted her a $10 gift card for said $100 purchase. It was legit, I saw it.She spent 15 minutes talking with an unprofessional assistant manager who upon maybe her fourth or fifth request to speak to the store manager (who was hiding within earshot of the whole conversation) as the line of weary customers tired after a black Friday of shopping continued to grow and this poor woman who was in disbelief and nearly trembling from exasperation (but calm and sweet) demanded her unexpired coupon be honored finally got the disaffected and recalcitrant asst manager to say with a groan ,"Fine, I'll get you the store manager". Good for her!Taking his time, seemingly unaware of the conversation he just heard from a few feet came up and tried to store manager her. After a few more minutes of not believing the writched customer service and complete abandonment of reason or common sense the manager FINALLY conceeded that perhaps her coupon was valid but he "didn't have a code for it so can't help you. Now there's quite a line behind you now so let's let the next person come to the register and again, I can't help you".Like they cared about the now 20 deep people waiting and sweating in winter jackets with tired kids and arms full of books any more than the sweet old lady. There was no, "Sorry for the inconvenience ma'am let me use my manager code to honor your Barnes and Noble coupon and for the stress and your wait, you're a valued customer" she didn't even get a goodnight. I regret not having said something or helped her. I wasn't thinking. Shame on me. I proceeded up, had my coupon ignored, didn't make a fuss because line was in the aisles at this point. Now that I think of it, the time before I saw an elderly couple treated with the same disrespect (oh, and me too) when we were all shopping for 50% off journals and given a hard time that ours didn't qualify when ad clearly said "All" and they did qualify. I still got two, but had 8 more for Christmas presents costing B&N $200+.So 4 coupons and one sale ad presented at counter - 5 discounts out of 5 all refused. The only stress-free or happy visit was the first I had here and was only buying a coffee. One is left unsatisfied after overpaying and is underappreciated trying to keep this ailing brick and mortar bookstore alive.I'm done trying. Isn't one supposed to walk out of a bookstore happy and excited, refreshed even? Why would I go if I'm now grumbling and frustrated and feel I've wasted my time and ... well Rte. 9 traffic should sooth me down at least right?I feel bad for the cashiers (who are great!) and patrons. Deceptive marketing and condescending, unhelpful, insensitive management. Combined with the absurd pricing compared to online and deceptive marketing emails ....too consistent to be anything else but bait and switch...stay away. The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of one is that it is a brick and mortar bookstore but unlike in the past, I walk away stressed, frustrated and unhappy.Whether it comes from corporate, training(or lack thereof), or management - with the exception of the cashiers, you are not appreciated or valued at this Barnes & Noble.ps I'm one of those people who typically writes good reviews, not disgusted ones like this.
Shreyas Srivatchan: Nice collection of books and games.
Carmen Marchany: I can get a variety when other stores don't have it right away.
Greg Richard: Always a good experience. Sorry to see this location close!
Zachery Rizzitano (Zrizzy): Very quiet and clean inside feels more like a library than a Barnes and noble
Stephen Ashchian: Customer service 0
Joe Hardie: Great selection of books, and friendly staff to help you find and suggest genres of interest.
Muna Rashdi: Good place for books
Ani Goranova: This is my happy place. I can spend hours of walking between the aisles with book and choosing my next reading adventure!
Joshua Gilbert: Worth going to for CD & DVD selection alone.
Jonathan Howley: I have not seen a selection as complete as this store's in a while. Definitely worth the trip if you enjoy fantasy novels and various other genres.
Alan Mitchell: Great book store
JemKnight: Rich was such a friendly person to work with, very helpful as well
yogi 88: Awesome place

Barnes & Noble: what do users think?
SanTara C.: Pleasant staff. Great selection of discounted books. The clean cafe is a plus if you want to grab a drink and/or snack while enjoying your books interests/purchases. It's also quiet enough to catch up on some remote work.
Najaam P Lee: Peaceful space to be in. Customer service I received well. And finding things was not difficult!
Rachel Piazza: Love this store..have most of what I am looking forAAA+++++
Zichang Ruan: Nice bookstore with starbucks inside
Valerie Marcon: My children and I love books and Barnes & Noble has so many choices! The staff are always so nice and helpful!
John Flynn: People there are very nice, clean store and desert in cafe are delicious!!
Arvand N: It’s a good place wished there were like a lounge area and the cafe looked better
Michael Shaw: Barnes and noble is always a great place to visit its a calm atmosphere with helpful staff
Don Kelloway: I am amazed I can find more than just books there. Always a great place to visit.
Cinde Mabry: What more can I say, great place second to your library to find a great book.
Kristina “Chicklassique” Mateo: I come all the way from BOSTON to go to this Store. It pretty big and allways had the best and newest books
Rebecca Hyatt: Great place to discover new books but it can be a little expensive sometimes.
vz: Staff is so nice! Especially Todd he helped me and was very nice!
J W: The only reason I am not giving five stars is because of pricing. This place is great! If you are a traditional bookstore lover, searching for vinyl music, into Legos, anime, gifts, toys, and of course books, then this is the place for you! My husband and I spent about an hour just looking around. They have a really decent amount of inventory with a great variety including puzzles, diy kits, figurines, board games, you name it. You can find anything here for all ages from babies to seniors. As I stated previously, the prices are a bit high compared with the same inventory online, but you truly are getting a full experience. In my opinion, there is nothing like a bookstore where you can SEE the inventory and thumb through the pages. Bonus, there is a cafe that serves cookies and baked treats and all sorts of goodies including Starbucks coffee! You cannot scan your Starbucks app/reward or use it for payment so keep that in mind. Overall, my husband and I had a great time perusing the store and picking out some books. It was nice to have such a wide variety of genres available too.
Joseph C Shaughnessy: Love this bookstore! Large selection, Starbucks inside, always polite staff.
Bruce Strong: I love bookstores
Bryan Rizza: I've been going to this Barnes and Noble since I was a child, and it has always been filled with my favorite books and excellent helpful staff. Always a pleasure to visit and have a coffee!
Squanchy’s Mom: staff are so friendly and inviting! everything is labeled and super easy to find.
Paul Buttner: Loved it
Kori Anne Sweeney: I will be doing all of my Christmas shopping here next year. After spending 10 hours working at a mall I was elated to find this store calm and relaxing. They also had so much more than books which I didn't realize! (It's been years since I've been in a book store) Toys, gadgets, mugs, candles, calendars, planners, art supplies and of course tons of books. Huge kids section and they were the only ones left who had Holiday Barbie in stock 2 days before Christmas! The associate (I didnt catch his name sorry!!) was so incredibly helpful and brought me around the store to pick out books for my husband. It was such a nice experience I honestly was almost brought to tears, but that would have been really awkward for the people working so I held it together. Feels like a hidden gem. 10/10 would recommend.
Kristyn Lee: My daughter loves the Who Was books and inexpensive
