Pasta Beach Boston: what do users think?
Natali Ferro: Very disappointed! We used to live at the Harbour Towers right across the street 5 years ago and would come to this restaurant almost weekly! The pizzas were some of the best in town and the carbonara with Asparagus was fenomenal! We have been a couple of times since they reopened and the food has taken a turn for the worst.! The carbonara is by far the worst I have tried, tasteless and overpowered by Parmesan cheese… and the pizzas are just Meh! I asked manager if they had changed chefs and she proudly responded the new chef was from Rome :-/ that almost makes it worse to be honest… a chef from Rome with very questionable pasta and pizza! The service was also very regular, our waiter was very nice, but we got the food before we even got our drinks, he forgot one of the drinks and then out of the 6 of us, only 5 got dishes, the 6th dish arrived almost 15 min after the rest, so one person ended up eating alone while the test of us watched. I was surprised when I called at 1:30 pm to ask if they had availability for 6 and they said yes, I thought probably cause it was on the later side, but I now think locals don’t come here anymore, only tourist in the city looking for a place with available seating. So sad!
hypertrooperianplays: Terrible smell, never have I been so repulsed my such a concentrated odor. Fast food restaurants have smelled wildly better. Not enough ventilation to prevent odors of oil and pungent fish, mostly, from spreading around the restaurant causing an unpleasant and unappetizing experience. The circulation of smells from the kitchen really ruins an experience Good food, a little overhyped in my personal opinion, but to each their own. Such a beautiful location. Shame it had to be PB.

ted dorset: PASTA BEACH IS PHENOMENAL!The food was fantastic! So good that I made myself finish everything! This restaurant was the absolute perfect place to eat and unwind with friends after a day of work!!! Highly recommend! See you again when I'm back in Boston!!!
Thomas King: Horrendous Carbonara, so salty I haven't been able to stop drinking water since.
Patricia Fulchino: SO HAPPY TO HAVE PASTA BEACH OPEN. FOOD IS VERY GOOD, VERY EXPENSIVE . WANT THE OLD MENU WHEN YOU COULD ORDER SOUP, ETC. AND GOOD PIZZA. THEY WERE ALWAYS GOOD. OLD MENU COME BACK!!!!
Aprilyn Arca: This place has a really nice atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the ragu romano and ravioli di patate. Both were extremely good and came out quickly. Our server Mario was absolutely great! Very kind and super informative and checked in on us constantly! I would definitely recommend coming back here!

Roberto Mancini: Pasta Beach is a fantastic restaurant. The Food is Real Italian food, as a Venetian I can tell you that this is authentic, light, fresh Italian food that you’d be having in Italia. It’s different than the typical American Italian restaurant.Make sure to try all smaller dishes too.The Decor is very cosmopolitan. The Main Chef, Massimo, is originally from Torino, Italia with family roots in Naples and Puglia, you can not get more authentic than this.Kylie, one of the servers, was a pleasure to spend time with, always smiling.Try the Focaccia RosmarinoFrittatina and/or SuppliPlin di Gamberi e Pistacchioand Tagliolino ai Funghiand Ragu Romano
Kelly Surette: I live close by and walk by here all of the time, I decided to come in and give it a try and all I can say is just wow. Best food and amazing vibe. I was beyond impressed, I will be back!
Harrison Liao: Excellent food. Pasta perfectly cooked, Al dente but not toothy. Carbonara is rich and well seasoned, creamy and not greasy with thin cut guanciale. The foccacia is phenomenal: wide open crumb, very well-proofed with a nice crust. Get the cannoli sandwich. Service is sharp as a tack and the drinks are strong.Recommended dishes Ravioli …More
Jess Reyes: It was my first time eating at Pasta Beach and the overall experience was incredible! The service was efficient and welcoming. Adam and Deanna (hope I spelled it correctly) had great attention to detail and were very knowledgeable about the menu. It was lovely to chat with them. The menu is carefully curated to give you a taste of traditional Italian cuisine in Boston and we were very satisfied. The venue was aesthetically pleasing to look at and the atmosphere was intimate. We can’t wait to come back and try more choices!

Alan MacEwan: This is without any question our favorite Boston restaurant. We loved it before a fire temporarily closed the restaurant, but it was worth the wait. Spectacular food, Michelin quality chef lured from Italy, superbly professional service. The restaurant’s redesign is stunning. And there is something for every taste on their menu. Not just a great dining experience, it is memorable. Our choice whenever we are in Boston.Vegetarian options: My wife is a vegetarian and besides the vegetarian menu offerings (which included more than pasta dishes), the chef prepared a special plate. The asparagus dish was amazing.
Mango Tango: Excited to try, but let down: Significantly overpriced for the quality, tasteless (and cold) food, slow service, then went to another restaurant because we were still hungry! Not going to give it another chance…

Twitchy: Good place for late night food in downtown Boston. Arriving on a late flight into Boston, there's not a lot of full service restaurant options in the downtown area after 9 pm. At Bostonia Public House we had the hot lobster roll, pasta vongole and fish & chips. The food and service were very good. As an fyi, it does get pretty noisy once the live entertainment starts.

Constantin Hoffmann: I am really disappointed with this restaurant and it’s reservation policy. We ordered a table for three at 8:00 pm. As we turned up we‘ve been told that our table is not available and we should wait at the bar. The restaurant was packed and there was no space at the bar or anywhere else. We left 15min later after and went for dinner somewhere else. If you want to frustrate customers: that’s the way to do it. Never ever again.
Hector Huitron: Absolutely must visit spot in Boston! The service at the bar was above and beyond thanks to “Radish”. I visit this place every time I’m in town. The chowder and lobster roll are can’t miss items. The Australian Wagyu was cooked perfectly and well worth the trip.

Abe & Louie's: what do users think?
Harrison Ingham: I went here with my fiancé for her birthday dinner because what better than to take your significant other for a nice juicy steak. For years, she and I have been wanting to try a good wagyu closer to our area so I did some research which time and time again pointed me in the direction of Abe & Louie's of Boston Massachusetts so I made the right choice and put in the reservations in which I specified it was her birthday and her first TRUE STEAKHOUSE.After a week of anticipation and not telling her where we were going or what we were doing or why we have to drive to Boston the time had arisen and off to Boston we went. Once we arrived and I gave my name we were immediately treated like royalty and brought to the best 2 seat table in the house. Right in front of a fireplace overlooking the entire dining room and right by the kitchen. We ordered of course, two wagyu beef steaks one of which being the 12oz westholme NY strip from Australia and her order being a striploin from japan. Both were cooked to perfection along with our Brussel sprouts and whipped potatoes not to mention my French onion soup I started off with that was just simply incredible. It was all just so overwhelmingly good, but what really made my night complete was the fact that after not thinking they would do anything other then wish her happy birthday for a 7th time we were getting ready to ask for the bill when our waiter came around the corner with dessert plates and a giant hunk of chocolate cake and ice cream with a candle lit right in the center. To me this was as much of a shock as it was to her and the cherry on the top to a already great experience with perfectly cooked steaks and for all of these reasons on top of a excellent waiter I must give this place a 5/5 AND IS GREATLY RECOMMENDED.
Mark Capolupo: In Boston for business with unplanned stay over. Thought I would make the best of it and enjoy a great steak in my old neighbor hood—delicious as ever, steak cooked to perfection!Very busy and a little noisy, but the food is excellent. I definitely recommend.

David Costanza: Been to a lot of steak places and, in the end A&L was only OK. The main problem is that the steaks themselves, the reason for the place, were average. Nothing bad but nothing great. I've had a dozen or more better steaks in the past few years, often at a half to one quarter of the price. The service was fine but also less attentive than needed while also being more intrusive than necessary. What do I mean? The servers should not have to interrupt a conversation to ask which person gets which dish, especially at a 2-top.The best thing we got was the Brussel sprouts, truly excellent, and the decadent cookie dessert. The rest of the sides were OK as was the selection of by-the-glass wines. Nothing memorable. The prices were high but not out of range for this type of restaurant. That said, at the price we paid ($175/person), and if your main reason for being is steaks, the food and experience have to be superlative and at A&L, they were not.
Mountrell Sharpe: I had the PorterHouse Steak cooked to Perfection Awesome! What I failed to mention I also had the mashed potatoes with garlic and blue cheese A great combination. David Blumberg: Wow this was AMAZING!! Perfectly seasoned fried Shrimp, Scallops, Clams and Fish - not salty!!! This was better than just great, it was World Class. Affordable too!! Reservations not accepted, full parties seated only.
Glen Anderson: We visited marathon weekend, the evening we visited it was busy and we had to wait in line for about 10 mins but well worth the wait. The staff were great and the food was excellent. The clam chowder was delicious. Mac and cheese with lobster was fantastic with lots of lobster, Alaskan King crab legs amazing. Great location, excellent atmosphere and would highly recommend and I would certainly be prepared to wait longer in line if I had to
SuperGamer7: Great atmosphere, Awesome Lobster! Try their platters!
Allison Smith: This place has good food but it’s extremely overpriced despite it being in downtown Boston. Three crab legs for $100–plus. Their hostesses were some of the most rude individuals I have ever encountered in the food industry—as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry. Couldn’t be bothered to speak to customers, texting on their phones constantly, super rude when questions were asked. Disappointing.
Veerle van Gils: I really liked the restaurant. The food, location & ambience are great. I just wanted to comment that all food is served on plastic/paper dishes and plastic cutlery and cups for drinks. It would be great if there would be some attention for environmental impact. A place like this should be able to invest in reusable dishes.

Ben McGuire: Came here because it was recommended to us. The food was good. I really enjoyed my lobster. It’s a real treat as the only lobster I can get at home is from a well known chain restaurant. The crab cakes were tasty. The raw oysters were decent, but I’ve had better. The service was adequate. The staff wasn’t the friendliest though. Great location right on the water. I would say it’s worth checking out.

Ramdas Pisharody: The restaurant is on the waterfront and we were a group of 20 and were allocated a large sized room. The cocktails were nice and I enjoyed the spicy strawberry margarita. The menu featured exclusively sea food. The starters - tuna tacos, crab cakes, prawns and the main course of lobster, scallops and shrimp were all enjoyable.. Would definitely recommend

She has blonde hair and I cannot remember her name sadly.Dietary restrictions: They asked right away if we had any dietary restrictions.

Gillian Choate: One of the prettiest settings for seafood in Boston. The Halibut was delicious. Also the wagyu fried rice was amazing. The chowder was a bit thinner than we like but probably a matter of taste. Excellent service. Would return and stay at the Boston Harbor hotel to be close.
Justin Haire: The food and atmosphere here were fantastic. It was a little pricey but that's to be expected at a hotel restaurant. Overall it was a wonderful experience with extremely attentive staff.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Hannah Lawrence: We went for high tea. It was nice enough, but vastly overpriced -- $75 per person before tax/tip for mostly average pastries/snacks (with a few standouts), and not very much substantive food. The service seems to have declined slightly, too -- we had to ask how long to steep the different tea types for, for example. Overall, it's a pleasant experience, but in no way worth that price (which is a $20 increase from one year ago). I would not recommend it for this reason.
David Merna: Everything was perfect. Appetizers were incredible, main course was a work of artistic skill. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Very friendly staff. Beautiful setting and spotlessly clean. Going back again soon. Cost well worth the visit. Step outside onto the waterfront, we had such a nice evening. A heartfelt Thank You to the entire staff.
Vy Nguyen: Food was just alright, but huge portions. Love the mushroom appetizer. Tuna tartare was very hard to share. Cockles were a little sandy still.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Kathleen Herndon: The food was delicious, and it had a beautiful waterview. It was a bit pricey, and the brick patio made it very difficult and loud to move the chairs. Overall very good.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mary Dickens: Everything was exceptional! It was a perfect fall evening. Atmosphere, view, service, food and presentation were ALL superior (thank you Adrian for the excellent service).
Anthony R: Have dined at the Sea Grille on two occasions. Once for breakfast and once for lunch, both times were outstanding experiences. The restaurant is located within the Boston Harbor Hotel and has a beautiful setting inside and outdoors. This is a great spot for a special occasion meal or to entertain clients. The food and service is fabulous, highly recommend the Sea Grille!

Woods Hill Pier 4: what do users think?
Dan Smith: Excellent…… on the water.
Irina Rasskazova: Amazing food and cocktails, good selection of wines. Love this place for brunch (lobster eggs benny, shakshuka, and croque madame are amazing!) and dinner (oysters, steak tartar, broccoli, and all pastas).
Nick K: Friendly service and delicious food. Nice location by the water. Convenient brunch option in the area if you’re looking for a dine in experience.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Lobster Benedict, Lobster Popover …More
Mike Barros: I didn't take pics of the food, but this small plate restaurant was super yummy. Order a couple of plates per person and you get to taste a bunch of different flavors. Everything was great and I personally liked the duck confit, steak tar tar, and the crisy lamb ribs were amazing! The ham and cheese croquettes were great and the scallops were maybe my favorite dish out of all of them and the tagliolioni was quite mind blowing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back.
Gabriele Manganaro: The food is really good here. Super delicious. The service is great. The location is also excellent, with a view of the bay and the pier and away from the hustle of the Seaport center. Highly recommend it!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Shakshouka …More

Laura Chu: Excellent dinner! We really enjoyed the cocktails, food, and ambience. Service was quick and friendly. The location and decor on the pier are also beautiful. Would recommend coming back for a special occasion or date night. It was really busy on a Friday night so I would recommend a reservation for sure.Recommended dishes Charred Broccoli, Crispy Lamb Ribs …More
T B: Extremely overrated, the lobster definitely does not worth $100, drinks are lame.. not coming back.
Dorrian Jaffe: I visited here with my mom and sister before the Boston marathon and, as good as the food was, the experience was incredibly subpar. We were running late (our fault) but when we repeatedly called the restaurant to let them know, we were not able to speak to anyone and when we arrived, were told they might not be able to accommodate our reservation given our lateish arrival, in spite of the fact that our table wasn’t ready (we had to sit and wait for it to be cleaned) until after we arrived (late). Eventually they were able to seat us but the experience didn’t improve much after this. The waiter was polite but condescending about our questions and requests and made absolutely no effort to try to accommodate my sister’s vegetarian diet (i.e. asking the chef what was possible) which, to be fair; not every restaurant is. However, a restaurant that prides itself on farm-to-table dining would be expected to have at least one option specifically for non-meat eaters which the waiter, in no what certain terms, made it clear they weren’t willing to do, besides removing bacon from one dish already on the menu. The fact that this restaurant was Tapas style was also a surprise to us, given the prices and the lack of indication on the website that the restaurant catered to small plates (if this had been advertised anywhere, we would not have come here as my family consists of large portion diners). The gap between our first course and second course was over an hour with the server stopping by approximately once. The food and drinks were very delicious but you can find far superior food in Boston that has portions that are actually worth the price. As much as I wanted to like this place, I wouldn’t return.EDIT: I would like to add that, after leaving this review, I checked the website again and there is absolutely NO mention of small “shareable” plates or tapas-style dining which leads me to believe this restaurant is purposely counting on the fact that people believe the portions are commensurate with the prices. Personally, I find this incredibly misleading marketing and I’m feeling even more scammed by an average restaurant masquerading as a fine dining experience.
Adam Lockett: Very small portion each $45 plate had three bites on it. Ended up having to go somewhere else to get full. Great drinks spot.Recommended dishes Crispy Lamb Ribs …More
Alex Yang: Amazing selection of food. The staff was funny, engaging, and well knowledges about the food. They told us that they give out small plates, so I was scared I was not going to be full once I finish but the plates were decently sized and we did not have to get an outrageous amount of food to be full. The steak tar tar was flavorful, the meat was a bit stiff, but overall good beef tar tar. The blue fin tuna was super flavorful and fresh. The only thing was it was a bit too acidic for me. I got a rack of lamb as well. This was sort of disappointing as the rack of lamb was quite small leaving me to believe they killed a baby lamb. I am not familiar with lambs, but the rack of lamb was about of big as my hand. Eating the lamb was kinda hard. The first bites were easy but getting the meat in between the bones proved very difficult for me. The lamb tasted great, not gaimy at all and the sauce and tomato’s mixed well with the lamb flavors. There was also a root in the dish but I am not sure what it was. It tasted like a carrot and a plantain mixed together into a sweet potato sized disk. The 4 layer bar was alright though I’m not a fan of chocolate and 2 out of the 4 layers were chocolate. The sorbets were sweet but did not give me that chalky feel some do which was a positive for me. The flavors were present and they gave a very generous portion. Usually fancy restaurants give you like 2 scoops but we got like an entire pint basically. Overall amazing experience, definitely would recommend if your willing to pay a good few bucks.
Alfonso Perfferle: Really cool place.Excellent customer service.Delicious 😋 food.Great Manhattan Cocktails 🍸 👌Beautiful views!
Richard Cheng: Group of 6 of us went for dinner on 4/9/23. Two of us ordered the rack of lamb (a pricey main course!!! or as menu calls it Third Course). For both orders, the ribs cannot be separated (it would take a clever to do that). We tried using our caveman skill to no avail so we had to pick up the whole rack. Not sure what cut they used. This this really absolutely appalling for Woodshill. Besides they were tasteless and hardly grilled properly. I would have asked for a refund but I didn't want to embarrass our host.
Tami Curley: Small plates to share gave us the opportunity to sample a variety of delicious choices. Our choices included BUCATINI ALL'AMATRICIANA, TAGLIOLINI, SEA SCALLOPS A LA PLANCHA, CHARRED BEEF SHORT RIB, GRASS FED RIBEYE ROULADE, PIER 4 LAYER BAR, and Sorbet.
