Emily Bamberg: They completely destroyed my eyelashes after a lash lift/ tint. During the process my eyes were so uncomfortable the whole time, itchy and burning, which honestly I would be fine with if they actually came out good. But my eyelashes, over a month out, are either sparse or still so curled back into my eye lid that I can't even put mascara on. Not sure about their other services but definitely be weary about a lash lift.
Bisharo Odowa: My cousin went here and got chemical burns on her eyes after she got lash extensions here. The lash tech Danielle not only put the under eye pads too close, but it caused her bottom lashes to rip off completely. Her eyes have been sore and bloodshot red the last 24 hours due to the the exposure of the lash adhesive, and the under eye pads scratching her eyes. As a lash tech, it should be common knowledge that a sealant solution needs to be used after the lashes are completed to bond the glue, but this was not done. Had Danielle used a sealant solution, the lashes would’ve been dry and she wouldn’t have gotten chemical burns in her eyes. The woman at the front desk tried saying that the “sealant was optional” but it’s not. The sealant dries the glue, so how is that an option? Clearly they don’t care. My cousin had to argue for a lower price due to the fact that her eyes were injured after the service. It’s clear to me the safety of their clients isn’t a priority, otherwise all preventative measures would’ve been taken from the beginning. A service that invasive should’ve been done with ultimate care, and it was not. Very disturbed and disappointed to say the least. Save your money and don’t bother getting your lash extensions here unless you want to go through excruciating pain from a chemical burn and corneal abrasions :)

I just recently used the brow lamination service and love how it's elevated my eye brows! Miriam Hammer: I wanted to get a spray tan for a trip I was going on and the place I had originally booked cancelled on me the day of. I Googled "spray tan" and randomly found this spot — I was so thrilled I did. It was my first time getting a spray, and I was nervous about how it was going to turn out. Tiffany was so reassuring and patient as she answered all of my questions. I was 100% comfortable with her the entire time I was in the booth and she even gave me her Instagram so I could reach out if I had any questions about the aftercare (which I did, and she responded right away). The results turned out AMAZING! I can't believe this isn't a real UV tan, it looks so natural and I am literally glowing. Highly recommend this spot and ask for Tiffany!Service:Tanning

Previously I was getting my hair done in Boston but now that I am working from home full time, I needed a local spot (live in Watertown). With so many salons in the area it was hard to choose, but I hit the jackpot! Amanda cut my hair and gave me a full foil on my light brown hair. Best of all, her and Nicole consulted on the best color choice for my hair, and they ended up choosing a color with no bleach because my hair is light enough that I don't need it. I am a natural brunette and have always wanted to look naturally champagne blonde.I met Bri last fall after I abused Sun-In then had a horrible dye job at another salon that left me looking wildly brassy orange... Bri was fearless and spent 6 hours fixing it and used over 100 foils. She added dimension, toned it, did a treatment - and took her time. She approaches hair like an artist approaches a painting. She is intentional, skilled, listens to you and also provides expert direction (which I need!). She recommends shampoos and products for my hair - and never pressures me to buy anything or do any service.No one else will ever do my hair besides Bri! I even plan to bring in my boyfriend to see her :). Will Charles salon is lucky to have Bri as a hair stylist!

Christina Carey: For the longest I have been reading reviews and deciding whether I should I invest in eyelash extensions amongst other things they do. It took me years to decide and I finally jump the gun and did it. They are very knowledgeable and the quality of the product is good. I have been told by many that it will be itchy or sting that is not the case here. I also believe that the owner and her staff dedicate their time to work with you and your needs. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and a place to go to where I can look like I didn't just roll out of bed. Don't sleep on this place!

Aisling does a great job making my thin brows look full and she’s a pro at LVL. Recently I had Fibroblasting on my forehead and eye area and the results were amazing. Not only did this drastically reduce wrinkles and give my brows a lift, it also evened out my skin tone and removed scarring below my eyebrow. Christine thoroughly explained the process and and communicated what she was doing during the treatment. Ireland Beauty has so many offerings and a talented, knowledgeable staff…do not hesitate to book a service.

Amy Koski: The proprietress of Gentle Eyebrow Threading is - somehow - as pleasant as she is skilled (and she's quite proficient at what she does). She taught me how to groom my eyebrows without having to exert any effort and she threaded and shaped my brows to look groomed even when my lazy behind can't be bothered. I'm not one for small talk, but the conversation we had was so genuinely pleasant I felt like I was chatting with an old friend. Definitely give yourself several extra minutes to find parking if you're driving, and if you're walking, it's behind the Brighton police dep't. parking lot -- but make sure you find yourself getting threaded here, because you will certainly be satisfied with the work.

I had some free time during my trip and needed a haircut anyway, so I was so relieved and thrilled to find House of Ivy. I was able to book an appointment the same day with Mariyah and she could not have been more kind and gentle. I am tender headed and had the most relaxing haircut/style ever. There was a neck and scalp massage and then again when adding product. The entire place was simply chic and adorable and the shop and staff were warm and friendly. MaryKathryn Slattery: I received a haircut here in June and it was hands down the worst haircut I've ever received. My hair is fine and straight, so should be simple. It's taken me a couple months to write this because I don't normally write reviews, but after consulting a new stylist, she highly recommended I warn people. I got about 3 inches cut off, but the stylist left my hair at about a 45 degree angle from the left to right side. I didn't notice at first as it was the back of my head, but it was so obvious, my boss mentioned something to me in private. I called the salon, asked for a different stylist and they gave me the same woman. She acted like it was no big deal and almost my fault. Leaving in tears, they offered me a hair mask and showed me the door. Had high hopes, but this was an awful experience.Service:Haircut

Even taking off an inch. She took the liberty of taking at least three. And not only that it is uneven. I gave it a week and I am miserable. I have spent the past few mornings crying before putting my hair up into a bun. Hannah Saris: I went to House of Ivy to get my hair cut and had a great experience with Mariyah. Then, I inquired about bridal hair & makeup. I sat down with Cindy (I think she's the owner) and she quoted me for my wedding. She was super nice and seemed to be experienced/knew what she was doing. She was going to do the hair and Jillian on makeup. I was very excited. Then, she ghosted me! Never heard back. Left several messages through their website and called multiple times. I'm so bummed! Not cool of them :(

Since I live in South Boston and my ceremony was at Gate of Heaven, I searched for a local salon. House of Ivy was a God-send. They opened their salon for me and my wedding party that morning (they are regularly closed on Sundays), accommodated all 7 of us with full services (hair and make-up) before noon, permitted me to bring in breakfast for my girls, and make the whole experience peaceful and as "normal" as possible (despite the chaos of that morning). They even put on a wedding-day play list in the background and brought us donuts! The planning was easy, they were flexible up to the very end, and somehow made us all look beautiful that day. I could not be more thankful for Cyndi, Izzy and the House of Ivy team. A beautiful, clean salon with wonderful, kind, professional and accommodating staff.
