Sneha P: Had quite an unprofessional experience at Avanti last week. I’ve been coming here for a couple years, but I will likely not return.Scheduled an appointment over the phone for a color correction (due to my grays not being fully covered by the hair stylist in a prior session). I specifically asked if I would be charged for it and I was told there’d be no charge since it was a correction. When I arrived, the hair stylist immediately proceeded to tell me it’s been more than 2 weeks so I will be charged as a new root touch-up. Now, I don’t mind paying for a new root touch-up, but I want to do it on my time and would prefer being informed that was the case in advance (especially since I had asked). Instead, I was explicitly told I wouldn’t be charged & no-one had bothered to call and inform me that this was not the case until I was in the hair stylist’s chair.Both the incorrect color and the wrong / lack of communication about the correction cost was their fault — and when I expressed my frustration about this situation — I got a sarcastic tone and unprofessional attitude to boot from the front desk person (Henry). Overall, I was made to feel like it was my problem for scheduling the correction late. Separately, I got an unsatisfactory root touch up 2-3 appointments prior as well where the grays were still visible. I gave things a pass that time thinking it was a one-off. I’m investing my money and time (in this case, twice by coming back for a correction) expecting both quality and professionalism, and I wish that was respected and my time was seen as valuable.I do appreciate that the owner, Betty, called me 2 days later to say that this was a misunderstanding and I could come in to get the correction free of charge this week. However, I was out-of-state on vacation this week and also generally apprehensive due to this experience (especially going back to the same hair stylist for a third time). Poor service for a recurring client.

So not worth the $160 I paid. With every wash my hair just gets lighter and it does not look good at all. After my original stylist left for California, finding a new one gave me anxiety as my hair is very important to me. I came to Liv with overgrown roots with balayage and she did a great job with color matching and having the new color flow flawlessly with the colors I already had. Corey did exactly what I asked for, long layers without making my hair look too choppy.Avanti is very spacious and clean. The staff here is helpful, kind, and Invested in making sure you’re happy and satisfied with your hair. I came in after being botched by the hairstylists at Carbon Salon just down the street from this place. They somehow managed to make one of the worst highlights I’ve ever had, into the most beautiful hair. I was styled by Corey (he is A-MA-ZING) but truly the entire salon was coming in to check on me and help make fixing my hair a pleasant experience. I recommend 10/10 for coloring/cut/styling/professionalism/vibes.

Daleen Jordan: Omggg this is SUCH A HIDDEN GEM! A client of mine told me about this place and I booked an appointment immediately. They start with scalp analysis and use a device to look at your scalp health and follicles. It was mind blowing. I’m a hairstylist of many years, so for me to see that was so amazing. She let me know what issues I had going on and recommended a treatment. The treatment was SOOOO GOOD! They put the treatment on your scalp, steam it with a special steaming cap, massage, shampoo, condition and mask. It was about an hour and a half. I fell asleep at one point. It felt amazing and my scalp was so clean and clear. She shows you again after the treatment with the microscope of your follicles and scalp. Such a drastic difference. I saw May and she was so kind! I HIGHLY recommend!!

The entire treatment felt luxurious and very professional. The atmosphere is very calm, customer service is amazing, and if you're looking for a massage/hair treatment/consultation in one- I highly recommend. It is an amazing experience down to the little details like giving you a locked cubby for your stuff, a heated eye mask, aroma therapy, and a hair dry. I have recommended SKA to my family and friends and will be returning!
Meg Ayers: I went here for a scalp treatment (with a seborrheic dermatitis flare up and looking for some direction) they were super nice and informative, looked at my scalp with probe and assessed that the Anti-Inflammatory treatment would be best. Super relaxing/soothing and thorough scalp cleansing and treatment and was very pleased with the probe view afterwards. With super thick hair the treatment took about an hour and a half total. Grace Cho: I am very sensitive and particular about my hair and SKA was amazing at giving me an amazing haircut.I went twice. First for the initial haircut and second for a correction.The ambiance is really nice and the staff really does make an effort to make sure you’re comfortable and happy. The only reason I was unhappy with my initial cut was because I was in a time crunch and didn’t have the time to ask the stylist to fix the things I wanted. So, I gave it some time, washed it, and styled it - but I went back for a correction. SKA accommodated me immediately and with no trouble. The second time I went, the stylist went above and beyond to make sure I left the salon 100% happy. And I did! I was super happy with the final result, the care and precision, and the smooth process of multiple cuts and scheduling.

Additionally, I really appreciate that she limits the number of clients she takes a day to maintain the quality of her service and ensure her clients get the best results.Overall, I'm happy with the results and had a pleasant time there. Definitely one of my fav hair salons in the Boston area.
Jessica Wang: I was in search of a scalp treatment to help with hair loss and oily scalp and booked with SKA because of their great reviews. Really glad I did because I was very happy with my experience. The scalp treatment started with a comprehensive consultation of scalp condition where they show you your follicles magnified. The treatment itself was very relaxing and the scalp massage was absolutely divine. You also get to see your follicles post-treatment to compare. I would highly recommend this salon if you are in need of a clarifying deep clean for your scalp!

The barber who served me did NOT properly wear a mask, and was impatient and unprofessional. I was blocked by traffic and was a few minutes late for the appointment, and he kept complaining about that. He did not clean hair thoroughly, and he even made phone calls while drying hair. Absolutely not recommended.

Greta Covino: I recently went to Salon 10 for a consult for a topper. Women having hair loss can be traumatic experience but when you see your loss you need be make a decision on what will make you happy. I first went to a different location and did not have a good experience. After some research I contacted Salon 10 and spoke numerous times with Ashley, she was great going back and forth and accommodating me. I went in on a Tuesday and met with Pat, she was great, very kind and compassionate and definitely not pushy. I actually purchased the very first one I tried on. She then brought in a colorist who would do the roots, she nailed it. I was able to return on Friday and met with Jaime the stylist who was also amazing. He definitely is an ARTIST at his craft. He combed it, twisted a couple of front piece and measured a piece in the back. He then said “ okay I’m going to take the piece and cut it” I’m confused, I’m thinking how is he going to get this right not cutting it on my head. He NAILED it; I was amazed and the tears poured out. The level of confidence you once had returned. I cannot say enough about the entire staff, the experience I had from beginning to the end was excellent. I would say to anyone who experiences hair loss and feels depressed about it that you won’t regret visiting this Salon, they will absolutely make you feel 100% better about yourself. Rebecca Merriman: Salon 10 is a special place and is the only salon I trust to cut, color, and style my hair. I have trichotillomania, and five years ago I reached my lowest point with the disorder. I was a senior in college and I could not comfortably hide my bald spots enough to go to class or social events without feeling self conscious and afraid. Arriving at the salon, I was so comforted by the treatment I received by everyone here. The rooms in the back of the salon are private and made me feel like I could talk about my hair without being judged. Pat, the owner, truly understands hair loss, the toll it takes on a person’s life, and the importance of feeling beautiful. In the time that I have been coming to the salon I have had a number of wigs and toppers, and each one has received numerous compliments. Another important factor in this process is that Pat and her team considered what my goals were for my hair, whether I wanted to shave it or use what I had for the overall style. Remlee Green: I came in with my mum today to get a wig (she's losing hair after starting chemo treatments). Before the appointment, she was sad and feeling low about losing her hair. A few hours later, she walked out with a brand new head of gorgeous hair and feeling great! The owner is amazingly kind and patient, and everyone in the salon was a delight to be around. Michelle trimmed the wig and taught my mum how to put the wig on, and in a few weeks, we'll go back to learn how to take care of the wig. The way that they walk you through the process and options is extremely comforting. When you're losing your hair and feeling less than yourself, these folks really know how to get you feeling good again. They're not at all pushy, and are just so supportive, fun, and kind. I'd love to go back to the salon sometime to get my own hair styled.
Kate O'Connor: Salon at 10 Newbury provides an amazing service! My sister is going through chemotherapy. We tried buying a wig online, but it just wasn't natural looking. Pat and her team help us find the perfect wig, which they also colored and cut beautifully. They were professional and kind throughout the whole process and made sure my sister was completely satisfied with her wig. Her nurse at Dana Farber even told her it's the best wig she's ever seen! Pat helped us pick out the right wig, took photos of my hair to match the color, and when it started to fall out they helped me cut it off and fit/cut the new wig to make it perfect for me. The whole process was done in a private space and everyone was so kind and thoughtful towards us making every step of the process so much easier during a challenging time. I couldn't recommend them more highly to anyone going through treatment, I can't imagine what we would have done otherwise and we are so grateful to them.

Disappointed Customer: I wish I feel comfortable enough sharing my name on this post but when you’re experiencing hair loss it’s not easy. I purchased my new wig from the salon and it was fine nothing special. While I was waiting for the color to be fixed on my wig, I was fascinated by the way other stylists worked on wigs. What really struck me was the redhead stylist working on my wig. She took my colored wig to wash the color off and when she came back, she wiped the color off the mannequin head with a dry towel. I had to look again to make sure I am actually seeing this and then she put my wig that she just washed the color off on the same mannequin head. It blew my mind to see this. I still cannot believe it, this wig is going on my head. I thought a place that specializes in wigs would be concerned about clients health. As soon as I got home I washed it again, I did not want to take any chances.I am very disappointed.
Rebecca Carr: Patricia and Magdalena are heaven-sent. I came to them from out of town with a hair system that needed attention. Within 5 minutes of sitting in the chair Patricia had a solution and said it could be ready in 24 hours. I returned the next day and Magdalena trimmed my hair and system to perfection. K H: I would highly recommend a facial with Dia at the Newbury street location. I have been a client of Dia's for years and actually followed her as she recently returned to Bella Sante. She is very knowledgeable about skin. I usually get the hydrafacial, which is a wonderful technology, however utilizing the technology and getting the most out of a facial really has a lot to do with the esthetician and their level of experience. I've had hydrafacials with other estheticians and the results have not been the same. Dia is fantastic! Schedule your appointment and get great results.

I got changed, and my treatment started with exfoliation, a soothing shower, and a massage.My overall experience was enjoyable and soothing. I needed to relax, and the therapy provided me that along with skin treatments - which my body needed (pandemic + kid).I plan to return again in 2 months. This is something 100 percent worth splurging in.

She asked about my skincare routine and concerns and I told her I was dealing with skin inflammation due to some stomach issues. This was a perfect match given her expertise in health and nutrition. We spoke about supplements, foods and holistic self care to calm stress, inflammation and flare ups. She is passionate about science and clinical result based on ingredients- not brands. I felt she was incredibly well informed and unbiased. She gave me so many insights and recommendations to help me beyond the day’s treatment. However the facial of course was incredible. Leaves me skins, radiant, glowing and glassy for weeks. If you’re looking for a truly indulgent experience with personalized care to last you long term, I’d suggest booking an appointment at Bella Sante. Your skin and health will thank you!
E SK: I have been a loyal client of this spa over the years, but in the past two months have had two terrible experiences, back to back, courtesy of the incredibly rude staff at the front desk, in two different locations. Both were shockingly discourteous and pretentious. I will never spend a dime here again, and instead will happily spend my money where it is appreciated. Plenty of amazing options elsewhere.

Wenny Lin: Real bad experience!! When I called to book the service, I intended to book the 80mins pore cleaning one but receptor didn’t clarify there was a 50mins one or confirm my preference. Because of unexpected meetings at work, I was 15mins late. However, it was not until I lay down that they told me my late time is counting towards my entire service time, which means I only got a service of around 25 mins. No one told me about that when I booked or when they called to confirm whether I was coming or not. They should have made all clear to the customers. Will never come again. My technician is pretty nice and professional though.

Ash C.: I didn't have a great experience here. As someone else mentioned, the steam room was "out of service" during my visit. The spa was crowded and noisy, and the area to wait for the massage was shared by everyone and not separated from the front desk, so it felt frantic, lots of talking/laughing, phones ringing, etc.The massage room was also very small and it felt claustrophobic. It was not quiet, either. I could hear lots of noises from other guests and banging sounds. Also, my massage therapist was very nice, but she had a terrible cough and kept sniffing and was not wearing a mask during my treatment, which freaked me out. I couldn't fully enjoy my massage. I won't be back.
Kristeena Hassman: This is my 3rd time at belle sante this year. Never once has their steam room worked, it’s always “closed for maintenance”. This is also the only amenity they offer at the salon with your service so for it to be broken for over a year is just unacceptable (it was obviously closed during Covid too so it’s been at least 2 years) especially as their prices for services have raised. Truthfully if you are looking for a spa that offers great service and amenities go down the street to G2O spa. This place just isn’t worth it.

Barbara Hillman: Soooo I went in for the first time just yesterday 5/31/22 A Mothers Day gift from my son located in the (BOSTON LOCATION) for a 50 minute relaxation massage and a 25 minute foot therapy with NICOLE firstly id like to commend the staff for such a clean and refreshing ambiance you can see a dustball on the floor that is how well kept and clean bella sante is andd it smelled soo fresh the minute i stepped off the elevator.. that said lets get to the meat and potatoes.... let me tell u something NICOLEEEEE was the best i have ever had her hands worked amazingly threw the massage she was sure to focus on the proper areas needed for me. You know for sure that this is NICOLES passion she loves what she does it shows and feels in her work. when she completed my massage i was so relaxxxxed the rest of the day and believe it or not i have noooooo more pain in my body my body feels AMAZINGGGGG she worked out all the crooks and cranys out of me this is exactly what i needed.. i will return at least twice a month and see this young lady... if I could give 10 STARS i would. Thank You BELLA SANTE for an amazing experience and excellent staff... see you next month always remember YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR at BELLA SANTE

Tom Hardy: WARNING - do NOT come here, it is NOT Covid safeThey encourage patients to come in, even if they have contacted Covid - rather than rescheduling appointments.Also, after communicating with the front desk ladies 3-4 times, in person and on the phone, on different occasions, I can confirm the staff is VERY blatantly rude - because this has been a general experience, they must be underpaid and unhappy, experience bad company culture, and bad top-down mentoring with no focus on client experience when paying for $400 service (without tip!). There is 100% some sort of training issue. Stay away.

Esther Helas: Had a recent experience with the mud ritual treatment at their spa facilities. It was my first time doing anything like that and the experience was definitely…something to do.The service provider (unclear what her title is) didn’t give us an explanation of the mud or anything, just guided us briefly and left us to our own devices. I assume it’s because we came to the appointment on time, not early, but still, a pamphlet or something would be nice. The mud was pretty stale, but my friend assumed it’s because we would be sweating in the sauna and maybe that would rehydrate them? Okay. Wish a professional would tell us that.Anyways, we tipped her because we still enjoyed each ourselves regardless.
Gabriella M: You can NEVER get through on the phone then when you finally do they're ALWAYS booked for weeks out and every single time i've tried to call the girls on the phone have an AWFUL attitude, I truly will never go there again solely because of this. Ridiculous!

Shelby D: I had the body scrub and facial done. The lady was 15min late which was fine, but she rushed thru so much. She was running around the table trying to put the scrub on quickly where it actually splashed on my face bc of how fast she was going. Then for the facial, she tried to sell me on everything. Reading all the ingredients of the products and stating the price. There was never a quiet peaceful moment. At the end she put tinted sunscreen on me (it was 7pm) and I don’t wear makeup so I don’t do tinted lotions which I mentioned to her. I figured it out when I looked in the mirror wondering why my face didn’t look clean. I was very displeased with the service. Don’t know if I’d come back.

S Joseph: I've been going to G2O since 2000. I can say the service has gone down considerably. Lucy makes it worthwhile to continue to patronize the place, but good luck trying to get an appointment. Also, the front desk is extremely rude and unhelpful. Lastly, I tried several times to book for my entire team (this requires a form or call to a “specialist” who manages large parties)--I never received a call back to my request. I decided to take my team to Mandarin Oriental instead and was treated wonderfully. Their loss, not mine.
Coralys Vega: Clean and very professional but too expensive I have a dermabrasion that last 30 minutes for 90 dollars, no even change to relax most facial places at the end put you a mask for extra 15 minutes so your skin have chance to get moisturize and you to relax, so I think it's not good deal for your money

Kimberly Clark: Amy is a master hair stylist and simply the best at haircuts and I believe superior with blonde hair color. It’s not often you find a stylist who can do both your haircut and color. I am so lucky to have her and you will too!
Hannah Kimball: Came here for a bachelorette spa afternoon and it was such a fun and relaxing time. We did the Bali Rejuvenating Ritual in the Experience Room and we sat in the Salt Cave. It was great for the 6 of us to bond and share memories. I would recommend calling if you plan to have a group of people going as this is the most efficient way to reach someone and schedule appointments. Maria was so helpful and kind when I spoke to them on the phone and when we were there in person.
