Papa Wheelies Back Bay: what do users think?
Brett Deccy: Great people, very helpful, they definitely know bikes
Ryan: They are an awesome shop. They get the work done quickly and efficiently. I brought my bike in to true the rear wheel, and they went above and beyond to make sure the gears are shifting well, etc. The bike rides amazing now. Best bike shop in town. I cannot recommend enough.
Luca Alessandri: they already changed my wheel, but they didn't fix it properly so I brought it back to them , asking to change the piston and also to fix the brakes. I also kindly asked if, fixing the brakes would require new brakes or if would be enough only to tighten them , and they assured me that the breakers were fine just not enough tight . everything for 40 dollars. I left the bike on Saturday, they told me that would have been ready by Monday. by Monday I was in Italy so my girlfriend went to check for the bike , finding out that was not ready yet. no one called her anymore so on Thursday she went directly to the shop payed and left. just on the way back home she find out that the wheel was still broken , no pistons changed and one break not tight at all. so she came back and they kind of made fun of her, then they fixed the wheel without changing the piston ( I expressly asked to change the piston and the 20 dollars were for that , not for tight a bolt) , meaning that they didn't do anything and they said that they fixed only one brake cause the other had another problem ( I still paid for two breakers repare ). I'm very disappointed and also very sorry that my girlfriend had to feel this way. you might have earned 40 dollars but you lost two clients.
jason xu: Good service and nice people, my bike was handled perfectly
Stephen Cruz: Friendly staff, great service and very knowledgeable. 100% recommend.
Lauren Heil: Great advice for useful products and great service on the tune up!
Jess Robinson: Super fast and friendly service! Came in with a flat and they fixed it immediately and had me back on the road in 15 min. Thanks!!
Ace Cato: Great service
Garrett Smith: I always have a great experience here. The people inside are helpful and happy to share tips and offer suggestions. Prices are reasonable, and they're always very quick.
Dale Gensler: Don't bring an ebike here. They will give it back with more problems than when you brought it in.
Frank Nig: I rented a mtb to ride around Boston. Rental Service super TOP. Staff very kind. They provided to me a Giant MTB, helmet and chain for the full day. I enjoyed a lot. Also the shop is very cute and full equipped. I fully recommend.
Angela Lou: Knowledgable and patient staff! Thank you. I purchased a bike seat here for my baby and they installed it securely. They also have a good selection of kids' helmets in stock, and a few kids' bikes as well. So glad they are within walking distance.
Orlando Rivas: excellent service 👍
Daniel M.: Amazing service!!!!! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly!!!!!!!
David S: Zach is a terrific mechanic. Always does a great job on my F700 tune ups. Comes back dialed!
steven tanguilig: Bunch of nice guys who know their stuff and like fixing bikes, can’t ask for much more. Less expensive than other places nearby
Michael Metzmaker: Great mechanics, great efficiency, great price. They've helped me out a couple times with things that other shops could not. Can't recommend enough.
Jen Moroz: This is one of the best bike shops I’ve been to! Staff and mechanics are all knowledgeable and ready to help you find the parts you need. I had my bike serviced and was able to pick it up on the same day.
MsNorma1971: Getting there was very difficult for me to get there! The people were nice. I have yet to pick up my bike though, I just dropped it off.
Claire Jeantheau: Fixed my broken bike stem for free--staff are knowledgeable and kind.
Jake Chvatal: The employees were ready to help when I entered the store, but they were also ready to sell me the wrong inner tube for my bike.I trusted the staff to help me purchase the correct inner tube, providing pictures of my existing tire with all of the necessary numbers, and a staff member quickly fetched me one. However, I've come home to find that the inner tube I purchased is far too big for my bike. I'm not concerned about the price, but I took an hour out of my day to make it to Papa Wheelies and back to support a local business rather than order online, and I'm disappointed that I was so decisively recommended the incorrect inner tube.

Urban Cycles: Boston's Downtown Bike Shop: what do users think?
Soleil Morales: This is by far the best tour I did in Boston. If you can bike, no point in doing any bus/duck tour. Highly recommend taking to these guys and go on a ride with them.
Melissa Saura: We had the best time on our Urban AdvenTours ride. We visited great neighborhoods that we would never have seen had we just toured the city on foot. Gary and Ken were very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and its history and eager to give tips and recommendations. A must-do to get to know the city!
Luis Sanchez Galan: Don’t call their store. The people are rude and uncooperative.
Andy Clark: Really great tour, highlight of our trip to Boston. Three great guides, we learned a lot and it felt very relaxed. Our guides kept us safe at all times. They were also happy to chat afterwards and advise on places to eat etc. Really great way of exploring the city.
Jared Egan: Changed out the busted tube on my bike real quick even though I came in near closing time. Thanks guys!
Jonathan Huang: Had a great time with my guide Pell, who was a knowledgeable and witty guide for the Cambridge tour. You'll get local nuggets you won't get from a website or Youtube. Boston is quite bike friendly and there was no issue with traffic or the shared paths.
Trevor: Had what I needed, but the staff member helping me was not pleasant. He was condescending with an attitude and he wasn’t willing to go to the basement to check what other items they had in stock. I wanted a different aesthetic for a seat tube collar, but he was complaining about having to go downstairs to look at the stock, so I settled for something less than ideal.
Tess Elam: Our group of four really enjoyed the bike tour. The three guides were so informative and showed us some great spots in Boston. The tour was well paced and the guides kept checking in with us and ensuring we stayed on course and together as a group. The booking process was easy online and the information before the day was clear and helpful. It is better to book directly with the tour’s own website. The bikes were easy to use. Highly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful day!
Laurie Monk: Awesome bike guides, very knowledgeable and helpful.
Sarah Coltrona: Austin was a great guide and gave a great bike tour of Boston!
Margaret Gabrek: Great bike tour experience, tour guides were very nice and knowledgable!
Ann Marra: Great tour. Fun, safe, bike ride, good for all skill levels. Nice way to learn about the city covering a lot of ground in one tour with knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Baily Nagle: Great customer service. No problems with bike.
Lykourgos Tzardis: Excellent private bike tour with Len, whose in-depth knowledge of the extensive history of Boston and MA in general is the perfect addition to the amazing sights.
Alison Kramer: We took the City tour on 4/7. Austin was our guide and did a great job. We really enjoyed the city tour and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun way to explore the town. We did the e-bikes and loved the extra assistance.
Christopher Dedecko: Way too expensive and the service team was unpleasant to deal
Kevyn Dodson: Great way to see the city! Highly recommend. We did this on the first day in Boston. It made the rest of the trip better because we had some perspective for every place we went on the rest of our trip. Definitely made us check some things out that we never would have without the tour. Bob is the man!
David Bergman: If you're looking for a fun tour in Boston look no further! Our guides (Austin & Pell) were very informative and kept us safe on the roads. We had a group of 12 and everyone said they would do it again! So much fun! Bikes and gear in great working order as well. Next time we're in Boston we'll be back for another tour for sure!
Victoria Doran: Bike was fine; staff friendly and efficient; plenty of bike routes nearby
Susan Williams: We had a great time touring with Urban Cycles. Guides Bob and Charles were awesome and we really enjoyed cruising the Boston neighborhoods on eBikes! Learned our way around the city along with some interesting history. We highly recommend this company :)
Michael Tremblay: One of my favorite tours I’ve been on in a very long while! The 3-hour tour felt like the perfect amount of time to see a HUGE chunk of Boston without it being exhausting. Our guides Charles and Gary were incredibly friendly and informative and made the entire tour feel very personable and conversational rather than just being talked ‘at’ the entire time like so many tours tend to do. I really can’t say enough nice things. If you’re looking for a unique way to see a large portion of Boston, this is the way to do it.

Community Bike Supply: what do users think?
Panagiotis Mandros: Bike before not good. Bike after very good. This bike shop is great and the staff very friendly. I left my bike for a flat tire, and I got it back almost new in one day. Don't know what they did, but it was awesome and fairly priced. Highly recommend!
Jonathan Buonocore: Absolutely fantastic repair shop. Jose and Mr. William set me up in record time after a plastic bag got caught in my chain and destroyed both the chain and the derailleur
Brye Andersen: Hands-down the best bike shop in Boston. Hands down the best bike shop I've ever been to, I'm from NYC and in Boston for college. Staff is incredible, they don't upsell you and don't have the elitist attitude I've found prevalent at other bike shops I've gone to. For example, when I went for a tune-up last year, I went in expecting to replace my slightly-worn tires but was informed that they're still good. They understand that different people bike for different reasons and everyone's needs are different.Repairs are quite quick, and should you need to leave your bike with them, they give you an accurate itinerary of what work is needed, when that work will be done, and call you when it is ready to be picked up. Living in a dorm and working as a bike courier my old beater of a road bike unfortunately is exposed to the elements more often than I'd like it to be, yet I've always walked out of here confident that all the work I've paid for was necessary to keep it in safe working order.
Christian Torres: Excelente servicio! El vendedor tiene la major actitud. Se habla en inglés y en español. Recomendable
Sarah Lin: Thanks for packing my bike with so much care and love. Still riding my bike every day in Berlin and glad to have this memory from Boston with me.
Pierre Cauvin: Not good at all.
Simon Somov: Friendly service. Checked and tuned my gears after my transportation of the bicycle in luggage.$15 at all
Nick: I needed a few springs for a part on my bike so I headed over to Community Bike Supply. They gave me the springs for free and even installed them real quick while we chatted. Very nice and friendly people. Will definitely return for my future purchases. Also has available street parking if you come in your car.
Christopher Dedecko: Best bike shop in Boston… and I’ve been to a lot of them.
Tiger Audio: I give FAIR ratings. I give poor ratings when I get poor service. If a place is exceptional, I take the time to give 5 stars and that is what these folks deserve. I was in a real bind. I made it there about 25 minutes before closing. They loaned me tools, got me the part I needed desperately, showed me how to install it, which I did, got me aired up, and on my way. I was the guy with the 2 wheel mobility scooter that got a flat tire. EVERYONE there was helpful. If I lived in Boston, I would buy a bike from them and get all my parts from them, even if I didn’t ride a bike.
Ashley Shen: Awesome shop! Jose went above and beyond to replace and adjust drop bars and a stem on a used Lemond so it would work perfectly for me. They do fantastic work and the bike was really fairly priced for how nice it is. I couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend this shop!
Nicholas Lippincott: Everyone here is very friendly and helpful!
Cameron Ryde: Got a flat on my way home from work and didn't have a tube. I stopped in to buy one and they were kind enough to let me change my own flat in the front of the store and watched me while I did to make sure I didn't need any help. Thanks so much guys!
Paul Davis: The people working here were very nice.
Rachel Bernstein: Nothing but extremely positive experiences here. Have been using them intermittently for service over the past 4 years. Not only have I always received prompt, friendly, fairly priced service, but they’ve gone out of their way to get work done in time to work with my schedule and even let me wait out back in a beautiful garden while doing so. And if that wasn’t enough they have tightened my brakes and adjusted my gears (both sorely needed) without charge. Only bike shop I use in Boston. They are excellent.
Jackiethe great: My sons birthday was yesterday so I’ve been searching for the right bike for about a month, a few days before we went to this store. It’s close to my house. Looking around for about 10 mins none of the employees offered to help us. It seemed as if they were even trying to look away so we left. There were 3 employees at 3 different areas in the store, in a U shape that surrounds the store. I already knew what was happening. So why spend money there?
Warren Creamer: Friendly staff, assembled my new bike for me in just a day and a half, weeks ahead of when other shops in the area said it would be done. Will use Community Bike Supply for 100% of my biking needs.
Angel Robinson: No ebike service (enduro/ delfast)
Alex Nikanov: Absolutely fantastic service! Quick, knowledgeable, great price, and super friendly! Thank you!
Liam Brozen: Worthless mechanics, won’t work on your bike unless they sold it to you. What a rip off.Edit: since the owner wants to argue, let’s consider, what requires “specialized training” to inspect brakes or tires, E-bike or non e-bike? And worthless is a perfectly acceptable adjective to describe the mechanics and their attitude, just read the other reviews, all dismissive and rude when you come in to ask for help. One must wonder, what kind of business is someone running when they turn away paying customers?
Taylor Olsen: They did a great job helping me with my bicycle! They charge me very little to swap my tire for a used one that was in great condition. Everyone was helpful!

Ferris Wheels Bike Shop: what do users think?
Brendan Fogarty: Really great experience taking my toddler to get his first helmet. The owner got down on the floor to kiddo-height and was so patient finding the right fit.
Radu Nan: Service is mediocre and lacks attention to detail. I had a break pad service done. I requested a break rotor fix too and was told nothing was wrong. The break squeaks. The belt drive was poorly reassembled and now squeaks too. Don't trust this shop for more than basic work.
Jared de Uriarte: 10/10 experience, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Very approachable, which is a pleasure since sometimes bike shops can be very intimidating. Got a whole lesson on how to fill my tires. They also offer a flat tire repair 1 week guarantee….if you get another flat after they’ve fix it, they’ll give you another one free under 1 week.
Lambdaman: I went on vacation left my bike with them for 2 weeks expecting a clean tuned bike, I came back to the same dirty untunned bike , DESPITE ME CALLING A WEEK INTO IT CUZ I KNOW THEY ARE SLOW IN EVERY SENSE of the word , and they assured me things were on schedule, and nope they lied. Now I just go to Busted Knuckle in west Roxbury, better pricing , knowledge and service
Dale Gensler: In short, I needed the rear wheel rebuilt on my electric bike due to breaking spokes, which they did, but communication about the repair was nonexistent and the process took nearly 2 months.I initially called this shop to see if they would service an ebike, to which they said i would need to bring it in first to get an answer. I brought it in and the person who looked at it seemed hesitant to accept the repair but they did and they told me they wouldn't get to it for about a week and a half but I will have a quote in a few days. I said that was fine since i didn't make any kind of appointment.A week goes by, no word. So i call, to be told they haven't gotten to it.Another week or 2 goes by, I call, no they haven't gotten to it, no quote.Another few weeks, I call, no information.Another week, I call, yes we are taking it apart to get measurements to order new spokes. I said great, so it should be done next week most likely? The person on the phone said maybe.I wait 2 more weeks and call, they say they need to take it apart to get measurements. Haha what? I tell them they already did that. I get put on hold while they figure it out and only get told yes the spokes are being ordered.Another week, I call and ask what is the ETA of the parts? No answer other than this week. The week goes by, I decide it was worth to take a trip there myself to see in person whats happening. Surprisingly the same day the parts arrived and the repair was completed. Not once was I contacted by the shop except when it was done, and I likely wouldn't have brought my bike here knowing the time to look at it is 2 months out.
Wanying Kang: This bike shop is wonderful! Very friendly people and reasonable charge. Highly recommend.
Christopher Freiss: Very helpful staff. I will be sure to return for accesories that, in my eagerness to ride, forgot to get.
Jonathan Foster-Moore: **EDITED**Sad to say but Ferris Wheels is no longer a business I feel like patronizing with my money, time, or attention. I dropped my gravel bike off at the end of June - it needed a ton of work - and thus was told it wouldn’t be ready until July 11th. Tough, but I understand bike shops are still very overwhelmed. However — when 7/11 came and went without any calls or updates I called myself the next day and found out from an employee that because the head mechanic had quit, no one had touched my bike in over two weeks. Infuriating to say the least. No apology, nothing. Less than two hours later, I received a phone call that magically my bike was finished. No way you can do a full tune, F/R wheel true, BB overhaul, rear hub overhaul, and swap out tubeless tires in less than two hours and have it be good work. After picking my bike up it has a new rattling sound coming from the rear hub. I emailed Jeffrey Ferris the owner at the general email address to discuss my dissatisfaction and haven’t heard any response. I took my bike to Bikes Not Bombs soon after and had a wonderful experience - friendly, knowledgeable and a quick turn around! Don’t waste your time with an incompetently run bike shop like Ferris Wheels 👎
Dan L: They saved my 3 years old Schwinn! A brand new chain and customized rackets make the bike even better than before with a decent price! People here are also amazing! Bring your bike here for good!
Robert Barnes: Ferris Wheels is the best of everything that makes local small business special.I've been coming for years for everything when in need of regular maintenance or emergency repairs, but a recent visit finally prompted me to leave a glowing review.Amazing service, technical expertise, and troubleshooting prowess combine for a seriously skilled group.
Stephen Coveney: Can’t say enough good things about this place. They do not try to upsell you, they’re friendly, and knowledgeable. They also sharpen ice skates if your not in a rush (had to drop them off for 24 hours).
Susan Kiely: Omg. Incredible customer service and selection, but let me really emphasize the customer service. I am a bike noob and I felt so comfortable here asking questions and not feeling dumb. The accessories are great too (Taco Bell!) and the prices are better than reasonable. I have a vintage schwinn breeze and they took very good care of her for her tube up. I grabbed a ulock and a bell to boot and was very happy with what I spent. Questions were asked about my lifestyle and how/where I would be locking my bike up. There were thoughts behind every answer from Jeff I think his name was. This is the perfect bike shop and I am so happy I came here
Tony Cruz: I went here to buy a new bike because I put over 5000 miles on my previous bike (A Schwinn) and I wanted something better, more durable and a little faster. The owner (Mr. Ferris) had one of his associates help me pick out a bike suitable for me. I settled on a Jamis Coda 21" Hybrid bike. I was able to take it out for a test drive before deciding on purchasing it. I was impressed with how the bike handled and how fast I was able to go. I did 20 miles around the Franklin Park Golf Course. The path around the course is exactly 2.5 miles. I tested to see how the bike handled going up hill and it handled really well. I finished in 73 minutes. A personal best. I strongly recommend you come down and see what they have in stock.
Dim Tonkov: Did not get an appt, but the girl on the phone was really nice and honest.Wish the available times were not a month out...
Raimi Sharin: After communicating my immediate needs- we worked to solve my problem, and get my bike successfully back on the rode
Becca Whitehouse: Went in around close for a bike lock. The person that helped me helped me understand my options and make the best choice. I didn’t feel rushed at all! Thank you!
EG M: Helpful and communicative in some basic bike service.Other times they had trouble servicing me, but overall, I’ll be back :)
Jeanjean Taba: I had my bike fixed at Ferris Wheel a few months ago, no complains they did a great job. Planning to return in the future whenever I need service.Great job!!!Thank youJ.
Thomas Thuene: If you don't have a cell phone, they won't let you in.
Andrew Pacheco: Excellent bike shop! Knowledgeable and kind staff who have been able to service my bike efficiently every time.
Jarell Charles: Very rude I called them asking for a item and instead of telling me they didn’t have the item they hang up in my face.

Landry's Bicycles: what do users think?
Eduardo Rodriguez: I ordered online but was helped as soon I walked in and was on my way
Da Mu: The best bike fit (from Andy) I've ever had at any bike store. Andy's combination of amazing knowledge and experience coupled with use of great technology and his attention to detail means that I am able to be comfortable on both a racing road bike and a triathlon bike for hours at a time. The mechanics are equally as capable and provide a high level of care to your bike. Over the many years I've been going to Landry's, the quality has never slipped. They've done a phenomenal job on everything from building up my custom bike (with tough internal cable routing), to tuning my fixie to run like new.
quinn Franklin: Professional Quality service
Sheldon Golder: Just got my bike back after Landry's tech performed an ultimate tuneup plus a chain replacement. As always bike is now better than when it was new.
Steve: Got just what I needed and everyone there was very helpful and friendly! They have a wide selection of clothing, helmets, bicycles, and assorted accessories for all budgets.
Robert Fraser: Andy was awesome for the fitting and everyone was very accommodating from the service team on a few questions I had on my mountain bike.
Daniel Dori: Three hip-hip-hurray’s for Mike at Landry’s Natick!!! We had a bike problem with a kids bike and he went out of his way to resolve it. Above and beyond customer service. Excellent selection. Best bike shop in the area!!! A+++
Ashley Lang: We walked into the store, was greeted immediately by an employee who was not only nice, and knowledgeable but was able to find a perfect bike for me. I had been looking for months! I just described what I was looking for, and he pulled this bike out of the back which was perfect for me. I was able to test ride the bike around outside and the price was great. I am very happy with the bike and the service.
mike sullivan: service team is great - they know their stuff, and they shoot you straight
Alan Cantor: Great service for many years. The best mechanics.
Lois Goodman: Always reliable and helpful.
raymond yao: Fast turn around on bike tune ups.Friendly and courteous repair staff.
Lester Chow: Purchased my bike and have all my service at Landry’s. Best customer service and friendly staff.
Jean Sifleet: Mike did a great job fitting my new bike. Very professional. Very thorough. A pleasure to work with.
Karen McLaughlin: Great service from a locally owned business
susan peppercorn: Landry's is the only bike shop I've used for 20 years. Excellent sales and service!
Evan Walgren: Love Landry's maximally!
Kevin McDonald: Friendly, professional technicians. Fair price for quality work.
Jonathan Zarkower: I like the consistency with which I've been serviced over the years. I like that when I've sent friends to Landry's, they've always had positive experiences. I like that my loyalty over the years has resulted in Landry's employees knowing me and treating me so well. I like that many of Landry's employees have been there for a long time, which says something about the company and its leadership. I like that Landry's offers a discount on parts to PMC riders, and that they are so active in supporting so many charity rides. I like that they have an annual consignment sale and clearance events that offer the opportunity to save money on quality products. Landry's is not always the most inexpensive option, and they don't always offer the broadest selection of products, as some of the online retailers can, but they are an outstanding shop all-around. Can't recommend them enough.
John Van Alsten: Great people in the repair shop.
Raoul A. Graf: Professional and courteous.

Cycle Loft: what do users think?
Rodc: Had my wife's bike in for some adjustments. Tech grabbed the bike and took care of it right on the spot!
aziza elalaoui: The best service we had ! It s worth it to go there !
Jhon Coleman: The store was great and so was the sales rep.
David “Revere Kitesurfer” Dyer: Staff is great.
william Verissimo: great service and fair price, I recommend !!!
Bryan Falchuk: So helpful to have someone guide me on my product selection. He wasn't pushing me to the most expensive thing, but rather helping me make sense of the options and pick what fit my needs best. This is why I love having a local bike shop I can trust that I know I can turn to. They also have a great product selection in stock. I've never been unable to find what I need when I drop in.
eric .Landes: I purchased a GoPro-style light mount adapter from Cycle Loft online. As it turned out, the part was out of stock but they expected it to be in in the two weeks after my order and offered to keep the order open and send it when available. This is not unheard of, but is a rarity in online shoppping. As promised, a few weeks later the part came in, the transaction was complete and I received the part without having to do anything additional. Not usually something to leave a review over, I was impressed that it actually happened and that they were on top of it—especially for such an insignificant part. Thanks!
Thomas Taylor: Bike technology has been advancing very quickly. Given that I have been riding my 1987 Bianchi for 32 years, I asked Brien many questions (I'm sure they were all GOOD questions). He was extremely helpful, taking time to help me to compare two different bikes and make a great selection. The staff KNOW the bikes and are cycling enthusiasts who work with customers to find a bike that is a good fit in every way, including cost. Cycle Loft was recommended to me and their helpfulness, knowledge, friendliness, and inventory will make me a return customer. I recommend them to you without hesitation!-Tom
Aspen Debyah: Cycle Loft had the bike (model, color, size) that I was looking for when no other bike shop in the area did. Brien was extremely welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable and he made sure I was happy with the bike and accessories before we left.
Pj Infurna: They Cycle Loft team is very knowledgeable and has always taken great care of my bike keeping me on the trails. They take the time to get to know who you are and always treat me like they are looking to earn my business every time I am in there. Vander is an excellent bike mechanic and has taken my entry level hardtail through all its upgrades (and break/fixes) for the last two years. I once tried out another local bike shop and that affirmed my belief that Cycle Loft was the place to go.
Ari Magnusson: Positive:Quality,ValueExcellent customer service.
Karen Flannery: UPDATE!!!!Again I am amazed by the customer service of Jeff and Cycle Loft. After my great success with my trike I decided the get a recumbent bike. After test rides and lots of time I decided on a bike that I had to order and thought I’d be able to get it in time for BikeMaine. Well the manufacturer is delayed.. and Jeff stepped up and offered me the use of the bike in the shop (not what I ordered but close) untilmy bike arrives. I am so very thankful and appreciative of their amazing support. They have a customer for life💕Jeff was amazing! I have a chronic heath condition and have been waiting for someone to carry Catrikes so I could bike again. Jeff gave me so much time over multiple visits, contacted catrike on my behalf to help figure out what would work best. Called and emailed to keep in touch and let me have an extended ride to make sure it would work for me.. came home with my catrike today and couldn’t be happier with the bike, service and consideration I received. Thanks Jeff and cycleloft
Stefan Schwarz: Great bike store with lots of choices and - most importantly - friendly and competent staff. On a quiet day after xmas we took our elementary school children to Cycle Loft who wanted to buy lights for their bikes. Nathaniel was very kind and patient explaining things to the boys. Thanks a lot!
Nicolai Cauchy: Stopped in yesterday (record cold i.e. few people): amazing selection of all styles of bikes (guessing almost twice as many as Belmont Wheelworks) and a superb repair/maintenance shop that is ultra clean and ultra organized. I was attended by Wanderlei, a former competition MTB rider and representative for Specialized, who has an amazing depth of knowledge!Single drawback, the price I was quoted for a replacement fork was about 30% higher than standard internet price... I'll double check with them once I decide what to do.Many thanks, Obrigado!
Patricia Ragnio: Positive:ProfessionalismWork was done quickly at a fair price.
Paula Blanchard: Excellent experience- I learned so much about my new bike my head is still spinning!!
TheSensemaker: Super knowledgeable staff. Real, deep expertise. No attempts to upsell. Wide assortment of products and accessories. Overall, great experience. It is now my choice destinations for all things bicycle.
John Kaufmann: Great selection of equipment and very knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Greg Hill: Great service great people
Jordan: Great inventory of parts and bikes. Knowledgeable staff and friendly atmosphere. Would like to see some other brands of aftermarket parts added to the inventory.
Jorge Romero: Their staff are terrific, I’ve never had a bad experience there. They’ve always helped me with anything I needed and answered all my questions. They treat me with respect. It’s my favorite bike shop.

Cambridge Bicycle: what do users think?
John Chen: This is my bike shop. I’ve been here since 2018. They have been transparent every time on everything and anything. I love it here. Spend your money here.
Josh Bradshaw: A friendly shop with reasonable prices. I'm a bike hobbyist I've popped in there on quieter rainy days with unusual service requests a few times and they've always given me a fair shake. Unlike other local shops they're pretty amicable towards people on the lower budget end of the market They've earned my loyal patronage..
Firat Imir: At first , they told me 40$ total for adjusting both breaks, after they finished work they charged me 70$. Unbelievable.
Vinnicios “vinny” Ferreira: These guys are great. Highly knowledgeable staff. All I needed was some information and even though I didn't purchase anything I got all the assistance I needed to make a wise decision. I greatly recommend Cambridge bicycle.
Ignacio DR: I fixed a flat tire here. It went flat again the next day. There was no puncture so most likely there was a defect in the valve of the new tire. They still made me pay 15$ extra for labor. Also they did not screw the wheel back properly and had to return once again!
Shannon Malloy: Have been a customer for 2+ years. The staff recognize me by name every time I come in and are very transparent with pricing and repairs. I bought my first new bike from them and the process was wonderful. They let me test ride for as long as I wanted and were patient while I tested different versions. They have made minor quick repairs for me for free because they know I’m a repeat customer. Great friendly staff that put on group rides periodically and fun inventory!
Marcela Silveira: I stood there for 5 minutes not one employee greeted me. But the guy made sure to stop everything to talk when his friends showed up at store!?!? Bad customer service. That's why girl's don't like it there.
Sneha Sabu: The left brake of my bike was not working and I went to Cambridge Bicycle after seeing their reviews. I walked up to the guy at the reception and showed my problem. This guy just looked at the brake from over the counter and fixes it in a minute (without even moving from the counter). I was really impressed. Will definitely go there for bike repairs
Electryo Argyris: Hit or miss. You can see some people get charged $5 for 20 min. I got charged $20 for a bolt and 5 min of labor. I called ahead but it didn't help. I'm sure they're busy, and they're generally nice.
Michael Chunko: Prices are a bit high but they offer test rides and are very knowledgeable. Eddy was a great help.
Christopher Dedecko: I had both good and bad experiences. The staff is usually helpful, however the pricing is a bit expensive.
Jacob Lissoos: Don't be thrown off by the fact that their inventory is mostly city bikes, they can repair everything including the most high end road bikes. Very professional, they will always call you if the work runs over budget or calls for extra parts. As a bike DIY repair person, they are always happy to explain/teach repairs to me and provide free advice when I drop in, which I really appreciate. Very friendly too!
Mary Ladesic: Incredible customer service! Shoutout to Adam who spent over a half hour walking me through different options and recommendations for accessories and gear as a new bike commuter. Adam was so patient and helpful. My go to place for all things bike related!
Michael Luu: It's nice that they have free air and pumps supplied outside the store. However, when I came in to buy a single item the other day the front staff were not staffing the register at all. I waited for about 10-15 minutes and a staff member finally arrived. Before they even help me check in they had another customer cut in front of me. Instead of just being treated like that I decided to just leave. Pretty disappointing customer service experience.
Thomas Gschwendtner: Found what I needed for a reasonable price, a saddle. They also lent me an allen wrench to mount right here.
Michelle Han: I experienced really terrible customer service at Cambridge Bicycle. I was told by someone in the shop that they could build up a bike for me that I had requested and that they would call me as soon as it was built. 4 days later, I didn't receive a call, so I call myself to inquire and they told me the bike had SOLD and no one had even called me to tell me they finished building the bike?! To top it off, the staff were very unempathetic and rude and told me "well what do you want me to do". DO NOT go here if you want to be treated well and respected as a customer.
Kira Clingen: I came in with a flat tire that blew out in 20 seconds. I was told, repeatedly, that there was nothing wrong with my tire, it had to be a slow leak, and that I was wasting my time and money replacing it. Finally, the person repairing the tire asked if I wanted to take the tire and tube home, since there was "nothing wrong with it." I felt like an idiot explaining that the tire did not deflate slowly, it blew out, over and over again to different people at the shop. Sure enough, when the person went to put the tube into the bag, it deflated immediately. There was a huge piece of glass in it. Rough and borderline rude experience but the new tire and replacement was decent, if somewhat slow. Compared to REI, it's expensive, but the location is convenient.
Faisal Alnasser: Limited bike options. One of the employees was rude.
Aaron Throness: Visited the store today - the customer service staff were friendly, the store was in good order, and an impressive suite altogether. However, their pricing points are almost exclusively $1,000+, which far exceeded my range of affordability as a doctoral student looking for an affordable bicycle.
Raj Vinjamuri: Adam in sales and the folks in the shop do a great job of taking care of your needs.
Rhys Probyn: Extremely competent mechanics who are straightforward and honest; good inventory of parts, tools, tires, tubes, fenders, saddles, apparel etc.Spent some time in the shop awaiting repairs and observed them diagnosing multiple bikes. I agree with everything I heard and saw and felt like the mechanic was honest and each price quoted was fair. I know it stinks to spend $100-150 repairing a commuter bike that you bought for $300 - 500 but over time you're def saving money vs commuting by car or the T and probably saving lots of time. You can trust this crew to get the repair done right and from what I've seen give you a fair price. Don't forget they have to cover rent, salaries for competent mechanics and staff, tools/equipment, hold inventory, insurance etc. Its a tough business and it seems they manage it well in order to treat customers fairly. 100% would recommend

Ace Wheelworks: what do users think?
Steven Finley: STOP going to this shop. I've seen them consistently deliver some of the worst and most condescending customer service to patrons, especially those new and interested in cycling. Even worse, they have performed hands down the poorest maintenance service on my bikes. Twice now Ive taken my bike in for a front derailleur repair/replace, and both times the tech has cross threaded the absolute jesus out of the bolt, such that it has fallen off during rides and caused damage to my frame and derailleur. I'm honestly lucky it didn't happen at speed or I would have gone over the bars. Please take your business elsewhere, unless you too enjoy gatekeeping the sport of cycling.
Heather MacLeish: Jay was awesome in answering my questions about bike locks, resisting rust on my chain, and local bike maintenance workshops. Thanks for being so nice and helping me!
Dorian Yablin: The wheel works team was a joy to work with! I have been saving for a few years now to buy a new bike (prior used a 1980s steel Schwinn) and they were so helpful in talking through what I was looking for and options in my budget. This bike will be used for commuting and longer rides and I am so excited to take it out! Thank you Randall and team for your help!
陳時雨: The best bike shop I have ever visited. They charge service in a reasonable and affordable price. And the staffs are friendly.
Kats Kuwahara: Sadly leaves a lot to be desired in terms of customer service, every time I come in here I always smile and am friendly and never have I received any real friendliness in return, just exasperated expressions and annoyed looks, as if me being there is an inconvenience. Perhaps if I was spending hundreds on a new setup and not just small purchases I would be better treated. But then why bother. I keep giving them more chances because of the great location, but every time I stop by I’m always left feeling disappointed when I leave. Sure, I can purchase what I need, but as for other things: If you have some minor bike issues best bet is YouTube university folks, bike repair is easy and anybody can learn, plus better to be self reliant.
Esther Ritchin: Had the loveliest experience, Bruce fixed my problems quickly, kindly, and expertly. He treated me with such respect, especially since I was quite obviously a novice. When I asked what the charge for the labor was, he waved me off, saying “this is a bike shop.” Felt like such a great neighborhood place, strongly recommend.
Jordan Rabinowitz: Amazing service! I brought in my ride after two years of heavy use and the technician who did the tune up was able to fix problems that didn’t even know I had including retapping a screw hole for my back rack that had become completely stripped. We initially thought I was going to need a new shifter for a brake issue but when I went to pick up the bike it turned out the tech was able to fix the problem without having to replace the shifter so my bill at the end of the day was even less than they had first quoted me! I’m cruising through Somerville now, wheelworks took 10 minutes off my commute.
Sam Feldman: The service is bad, I would not recommend it. They took my bike and told me it'd be a few weeks... 7 weeks later I still hadn't heard back so I called and they told me it was done. When I picked it up, the chain was still loose... they never checked the chain. They did charge me for new brake pads... so now I have a questionably tuned up bike that took almost 2 months to do and I spent ~$80-100...
Tommaso Biancalani: Very rude staff.
Jacob Lissoos: Excellent mechanics for everything from a commuter bike, to full out carbon race bike. All of the work they have done for me has held up perfectly. They can occasionally be a bit short which is intimidating, but that is just because they are very busy.
Tom McManus: Inconsistent service and subpar mechanics. The experience here is closer to what you'd find at a large corporate store rather than a local bike shop.I have shopped here many times and it has never been a great experience. My most recent string of experiences started off with the help of a clerk who had no idea what she was doing. I needed rotors, pads, pedals and a bottom bracket. Due to lack of knowledge and training, she was unable to help me with any of this despite the fact that I had model numbers for the parts I wanted. She eventually passed me to Alexi, one of their principal sales people, who is always helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to get me the parts and order what I needed. After receiving the parts, I made an appointment to have the bottom bracket installed and brought my bike in for service. When I picked up the bike I noticed that they had not installed the new bottom bracket and instead serviced the old bottom bracket. When I told them I wanted the new bottom bracket installed they were insistent that I should just return the new one even though the old bottom bracket was defective. Luckily Alexi came out of the back and explained that the old bottom bracket had an issue. They removed the old bottom bracket and installed the new one all wrong (see picture). They did not completely seat the bottom bracket and they did not install the spacers or dust caps leaving the bearings completely exposed to water and dirt. The following week, I was in a 3 day bike race. At the end of the second day my brand new bottom bracket had failed. I haven't returned as I do not want them touching my bike again and repaired the bottom bracket myself.
Jack Nicholson: Incredibly smart and helpful team. Couldn’t recommend enough.
Reece Peters: I would give them zero stars if I could. I came in with my MTB for an insurance estimate because I got hit by a car. Within a week they had my estimate and started working on the bike - no problems yet...When I picked my bike up today they had replaced my wheel on my trail bike with a gravel bike rim, 23mm inner width vs 30mm! Additionally, my handlebars were still slightly twisted and a presta valve was open with no valve cap present. Attention to detail is non existent at this place. They want you to know nothing about bikes so they can provide mediocre service for a hefty price. Unfortunately for them I am a competent home mechanic who knows every little detail about my bike (I wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for insurance purposes!) Now I have to wait another week to ride my MTB again because of their incompetence. To finish it off, when I express my displeasure with this mistake I was ignored, no sorry no nothing (the man actually just walked away from me). Do not come here unless it is absolutely your only option.
Zhizhong Pu: Replaced my flat tire for $26 within 20 min. No wait time. Came on Monday at noon.
Alex Lewin: Bad experience getting brifters (drop bar brake-shifters) replaced.I brought my bike in because my rear brifter was skipping gears all the way to the small cog. On their advice over the phone, I bought and brought in some new brifters to fit the rest of the drivetrain (Campy 10-speed). I asked them to install the new brifters and new bar tape, and to do a general tune-up.Monday they let me know it was ready. I went in. The brifters were mounted a couple of inches further out than the old ones, so they were no longer in the right place for me. Also, the FRONT brifter wasn't working (it was like the cable was slack--small ring only). I asked them to move the brifters and fix the front one, and left it with them again. They said they would let me know when it was going to be ready.Tuesday I called them to check in, and to make sure that they knew about relocating the brifters. The fellow I talked to said that the rear derailleur hanger was bent. I told him that it wasn't bent when I brought it in, and that they hadn't mentioned it Monday the first time I came to pick it up. He said they wouldn't have noticed it because they hadn't done a tune-up at that point. I told him that I had paid for a tune-up, so I sure hoped that they HAD done a tune-up before I came to pick it up the first time. (I think they had.)They let me know again that it was ready, I came in today (Thursday), I test rode it. The brifters had been relocated (good), but the front one still didn't work (bad). I brought it back into the shop. Their mechanic looked at it, messed with the cables. I test rode it. It still wouldn't shift up to the big ring. He adjusted again.I asked him whether they typically test-rode bikes after they fixed them. He said no (!!!!!).He rode it and was able to get it to shift up. I was not able to get it to shift up. I've been riding road bikes for many years and have never had problems shifting. He said I wasn't pushing it hard enough. IMO shifting should not require force. He adjusted it again, it still didn't work for me, he adjusted it again, someone else from the shop rode it, said it worked, I rode it, it was okay. But yes, it did seem like the REAR derailleur was out of whack, just as they had said. It was out of adjustment, getting between gears, etc. Maybe the hanger was bent. I don't know.By now, my fresh new bar tape had grease on it from the mechanics' hands. I asked them to clean it off. They made a half-hearted attempt to do so but they did not look very hard it ot or seem to care very much.I am going to take it somewhere else to get the rear derailleur situation sorted out. I have given up on this place.I am not a high-maintenance person. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I have had good experiences at Belmont Wheel Works. But I am not going back to Ace again. They wasted too much of my time, and demonstrated that they didn't care. Even if they offered to make things better, I would not be interested at this point, unless maybe they came to my house.I wonder whether the front brifter will stop working again.
Matthew Ramirez: I had a flat tire issue - simple task. I brought it in 3 times within the span of 2 months because they can't do their job right. Somehow, each time I sent it in, my bicycle came back with an additional issue in its chain, valve, headset, or the tire would just deflate again. Waste of my time and money - It was more worthwhile going to Landry's Bicycles on Commonwealth despite the commute.
Bence Béky: Employees of this shop had been rude to my significant other on two separate visits, and they have been rude to me on two separate visits. So far we have been giving them the benefit of the doubt, because the quality of their work is otherwise adequate, but this pattern of treatment is concerning.
Eric Leonard: The people there were awesome. If you into the BMX world this place can help you out. Thanks again for the help.
Steven Cohen: They're fast, but inconsistent. Some mechanics are great. Some do half of the work order and then you have to walk them through the rest step-by-step.
Meghan Davis: Excellent and efficient service, efficient and helpful. Very friendly environment.
Alex K: Mechanics seem competent, everyone else is a mess. I won't be going back, which is a pity because it's a very convenient location, and I'd like to support locals.I took my bike in to have the rear wheel replaced after some spokes had broken and been replaced three times. The first guy takes fifteen minutes to understand that I literally just want a new rear wheel. Once he understands, he tells me it will cost $75, they'll have to order it, and they'll get back to me about when I can pick it up. Fast forward about ten days, and I've heard nothing from them. So I call and ask about the status. I'm told that they have the order and it will cost $150. At first I thought it was $150 for both wheels, and thought, whatever, that's fine, I'll have to replace the front wheel sometime anyways, might as well do it now. Then I call back to confirm and it turns out it's just the rear wheel for $150. I tell them I was told $75, I really don't need anything fancy, this isn't a high-end bike, original cost was $600 for the whole thing, etc. They say $75 is not possible, but they can order another one for $100. I say OK, fair enough, estimate was off by 33%, let's do the $100 wheel. I get a text about a week later saying I owe $160 and can pick it up. I figure maybe that's $100 plus some labor plus some tax? Nope, turns out they just charged me $150 for the wheel, then some tax. So, estimate was off by literally $100. I guess at least no labor charge is nice.Get yourselves together people. It's not that hard to execute a job at the price you quote. If you don't know enough right away to accurately quote, just say "I don't know, let me do some research, call you back, and give you some options and prices."

Landry's Bicycles: what do users think?
Josh Turk: Took a pair of Bontrager bike wheels to get a pair tubeless tires seated onto the rim. They were able to seat one, but claimed it wouldn't hold air, and quoted me $130 (parts + labor) to completely redo both wheels with Bontrager/Trek parts, which I did not take them up on.At home, I pumped up the seated wheel and spun it on the bike to distribute sealant, and it held air perfectly, so I do not know what they did or didn't do at the shop to make them think otherwise. For the unseated wheel, I added two more layers of Stan's Tape and was able to seat it with my normal pump. All in all, they gave some useful advice, but their solution was way beyond what was necessary. Reminds me of a car dealership where they upsell you on service that you don't actually need. I will be looking elsewhere for service in the future.
Boris Hayete: Job well done, ahead of time, below budget.
Gregory Piatetsky: Great service and great team! Not the cheapest, but worth it for good quality and service! Bought two e-bikes from them, no problems with Trek Verve, lots of problems with Townie Electra, but Landry helped fix it and eventually replaced the defective e-bike with a new one that works great!
Judith Hurwitz: Landry’s did a great job repairing our bikes. They are experienced and courteous. Bikes were ready on the day they promised
george cole: Great, knowledgeable, helpful people.....go there for your cycling needs.
Carlos Pulido: Great customer services and excellent bike options.
Adam: Excellent selection of bikes and accessories with a service-focused staff. Highly recommend!
Scott Neagle: Landry's is Boston's bike shop for a reason. They will do whatever it takes to get you out and riding.
Nate N: Nice new location. Good maintenance/ shop service, but they need to work on their sales service. Sales reps were not focused, unhelpful in answering questions, and passive aggressively rude.
beena chandy: Landry's Bicycles are my go-to bike store. I know the store for more than 15 years. Excellent service, top-of-the-class products. I had been to both Newton & Norwood stores. I would recommend it to anyone!
Jennifer Hoyt: I will admit it. I know pretty much nothing about bikes. With that said, I mustered up the courage to bring in a bike a friend gave me to fix it up. Had the chain replaced and tires pumped up (I know lol). Oak was very friendly to me the whole time - even when I had no idea what needed to be fixed. Anyway, Landry's is where I would send anybody who needs anything Bike related done. I think I might even ride this thing around a little...
Kim Slater: It doesn’t get better than this. The staff are knowledgeable, patient and kind. I could not be happier with my new bike or the service here. We will keep coming back.
Sean Gallagher: Prompt service, repairs were explained to me, bike was returned on day promised. Good job!
Mark Brudniak: I had a good experience at Landry’s. I forgot my credit card to pay for a little job. They had no problem “letting me go” , deferring my payment until I got back home.
Ilana Amrani Cohen: Great customer service. Friendly, flexible and knowledgeable!!
Arnee Winshall: Excellent service and helpful employees.
L: Good local bike shop with knowledgeable sales people and technicians. The shop doesn’t have the best communication about pick-up / hard to get in touch with, but they do good work at a reasonable price.
lee smallman: Nice staff, very helpful with gear advice and with local trails
Lamar Dreves: I was new in town, and needed a new bicycle wheel for commuting. The team at Landry's Bicycles was extremely helpful in helping me find the right wheel. They were able to order it for me and have it come in within a very short amount of time. Great atmosphere and customer experience. I will definitely be back for any more biking needs!
Marty St. George: I was worried that the store was too focused on the high end bikers, which I am not, but they took great care of me and got me the perfect bike!
TomSchwarz: You know what you are doing! I trust your judgment on repairs, purchases. A pleasure to come into the shop.
