Cecelia Sherwin: I came for the candles, but their selection was pretty lacking in person compared to their website. The candles that were on display had a layer of dust on top of the wax so it was very difficult to smell the cold throw.
Andrea Wnuk: Finn at the Newbury St. location did a great job helping me with a rush makeup application at the last minute, she was able to help me as soon as they opened! Amazing customer service and great products and brands, love this store!
Trang N: Had such a wonderful experience shopping at this store. An employee I believe named Yome was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the questions I had. I felt bad that it was almost closing time but she insisted that I shop comfortably without any worries. It was honestly one of the best shopping experiences that I have come across in a while. I have very problematic skin for quite some years now so it is difficult for me to find skincare that suits my skin. All the products Yome has recommended for me has truly changed my life. I am so grateful for her as many other places did not show the same care as she did. I will be shopping here only moving forward!

She is extremely knowledgeable and helps me to find exactly what I need almost every time I come. I go to sephora or saks and I get more/ better free samples then the samples they had in this little itty bitty got bag.... Seriously between not being friendly, and messing up my purchase..... I will return my item and go else where!

Roxanne Trombly: I had a frustrating customer service experience here. Bluemercury is infamous for horrible customer service online. Perhaps this store is following policy. I would not shop there again. After spending more than 400 dollars on product. Not good.
Diana Chavarro: I went on September 3, 2022 to ask about a cream for scars that I know you sell and the woman who was at the cash register told me with a dismissive look, we don't have creams for scars, you can go to cvs, I am a tourist and I know that you guys sell this cream because in my city I am a customer of your store I felt very badly treated, she didn't even bother to check if she had any option for me, terrible attention.

Highly suggest this location - the spa area is immaculate, smells lovely and super relaxing. Isabella took her time with my facial explaining all the different options and the best treatments for my dark spots. She was attentive and very helpful, and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Definitely felt like a luxurious experience & I appreciated the extra touch of the goodie bag! I’ll definitely be back to this location to try their other spa offerings. Thanks Isabella for making my skin feel so refreshed!

So when I walked into Bluemercury at the Seaport and heard someone mention facial I became curious.😳…..Isabella the special esthetician (special because she was) did an incredible job. My face felt radiant and my pores’ were like thank u for getting two years of pollutes out. Lydia Mikhaylyants: Call before you go, they close early in the evenings.Not an authorized retailer for SkinCeuticals products (I verified with the company), only reason I called is because the sunscreen didn't have an expiration date which is mandated by FDA.Went to return the sunscreen and they charged me for it again, then argued with me about it, only double checking their system after I had to show my bank statement, no apology for mistake or attitude.Can't say this is a professional team.

Deepti Kanneganti: Tess is a miracle worker. My acne became so bad in the last year, with giant painful cysts along my jawline. I tried antibiotics, birth control, topical treatments from the dermatologist and, after nothing worked, I signed up to start Accutane in a month. I tried seeing Tess as a last ditch effort and was SO happy I did. Within two facials with Tess they were gone COMPLETELY. My skin hasn't looked this good in years, and I finally feel confident in my own body (adult acne sucks). It's been two months now and still no new acne, and I owe it all to Tess!!!

I have been going here to see Tess (she's the best) for my monthly facial and am always happy with the results. For those of you who are curious - I get the microdermabrasion and extraction facial. My skin is AMAZING! I ALWAYS get compliments on my skin from work or when I am out. When I do spend a night out in Boston, I only wear concealer, bronzer, and am able to skip the foundation (yes, IT'S TRUE)! I'm in my 30s and I have oily combination skin with pigmentation but after the facial, I have smoother and clearer skin. The service here is great and it's definitely worth the money!

BEWARE: waxing will me MORE $$$ (despite the menu of services said $25...which is expensive as well for what it is)Just got my eyebrows done in this place and am quite frankly disappointed as it is too expensive and quite unimpressive result. The girl was nice - that's why the two stars and not one - but everything else was too disappointing. Was going to try their facials but I guess I will take my business elsewhere since I am REALLY unhappy with this charge. Wish they told me it would be $35 before...I would have never agreed to this.

Cleo Hu: Go-to place for skincare products shopping, people there are professional, knowledgeable and friendly (gives out lots of samples).

Even after showing her the receipt she had the audacity to make a face and not apologize. I’ve bought products for hundreds of dollars here and this kind of classist behavior is not okay.
Peyton Kra: Such a unique shop for all things beauty; however, I have been left both unsettled and unwelcomed by an older woman who works there. On two separate occasions in the past 3 months, I have left without purchase due to her pushy nature. Otherwise, I would be elated to shop around and enjoy what should be a pleasant experience. Perhaps I will check out a different location.
Malaka m: I came in for eyebrow waxing and a facial. I was seen by Paula. She was awesome. She was very professional, patient and knowledgeable about skin care, not to mention her skin was flawless so i knew i was in good hands. My facial lasted a little under an hour , I came in from a stressful day and left feeling like a million bucks. My skin was so smooth and I had this amazing glow, not to mention she did my eyebrows and they finally are even now. My eyebrows look so good along with my facial. I got a compliment that I looked 10 years younger than my age . Well i will be back , make me a regular, but only for Paula. I have had my experience with aestheticians and Paula is a Jewel. I will be back soon and I highly recommend her services.

Andrea Jackson: Don't walk. Run in! Yesterday Lynne Elle convinced me to try an "aggressive facial." I left feeling amazing; later that evening, I went to dinner, and I received so many compliments on my skin. Brow tinting is a must-try! It usually takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to draw my eyebrows on perfectly. I woke up ready to go today!
Susan: My daughter and I had amazing facials with Lynne Elle in Dedham. She took time to specialize the facials to our needs. We also got some great samples when we checked out. It was a great experience!

Christina Zazzara: I had made an appointment about two weeks ago for a full face on Saturday 11/20. I called to confirm my appointment at 1030 at which they had no record of me on the books. They said their make up artist came in at 1 and scheduled me for 1:00 pm. This was my good friends wedding-I had work in the morning otherwise i would’ve joined the wedding party for hair and make up. I had been to blue Mercury before. I had showed the make up artist Helaina what I wanted done which was very basic Smokey eyes with a winged eye liner and fake eyelashes strip applied. They did not have glue and asked me to go to Sephora to get it and did not seem able to the eye lashes anyway. At the end of it being done I was in disbelief that this was what was done on my face. I tried holding back tears because I was already late due to their negligence of placing me on the books for 12. I had to leave take off all my make up and re do it myself. Once I got in my car I was in tears because it was very upsetting that they thought this was ok. I’m very disappointed with the service provided for a full face of make up. I would not go back for products nor a full face of make up at this point..my mom and I always always went here for make up. And she was just as upset at the result.

Kelly Ruzicka: I absolutely love Blue Mercury’s concept and I really want to continue supporting them and even though I still do, you make it so hard!! The stores of New England always leave me disappointed. Ive been a loyal consumer for years thanks to the Philly store. I only go there to shop, not to get services done. I easily spend $150-$250 on products during every visit, but I every time I go in, service literally doesn’t exist. The employees complain about their job and talk among themselves. Sometimes my purchase gets linked to my email, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I get free samples, sometimes I don’t. Inconsistency of service is what frustrates me most. I feel judged every time I walk in b/c I’m in my adleisure clothes with no makeup. Blue Mercury... please step up your service game!!!
Nicole Zarkades: I was having a HORRIBLE day, cried all my makeup off and had to be at a business dinner in 15 minutes. I walked in to Blue Mercury with a red face, red eyes, tear streaks down my face and told the two employees there the short version of my problem and asked if they could help me look somewhat presentable. They were SO warm and inviting, helped me get my game face back on for my meeting (literally and figuratively) and I walked away with my faith restored in humanity. I purchased three of the items that they used on me and could not be a happier customer. I will go back again and again for all my make up and beautification needs. I cannot specifically remember the two employees names, I think it was Jeremy and Sarah? THANK YOU for turning my day around.

Kerry Krusell: Super rude staff.. like mind blowingly rude. I spend a lot of money in here and am consistently treated poorly and I think it's really sad. You shouldn't need to spend a lot of money to be treated with respect... but somehow still that doesn't even inspire decent customer service. Will not be shopping here anymore. It gives pretty woman vibes. Not a good look. Get over yourselves and be nice.
Stephanie Borgman: For some reason this location is very unhelpful. Terrible customer service. If you know exactly what you’re looking for (and can’t buy online at Nordstrom or around the corner at Sephora) I’d pop in. But if you think you might need some help…skip it.

I had an appointment and arrived on time but they were taking helping customers that kept coming in just to buy things before even starting my makeup. After almost 45minutes of waiting they finally started my makeup but kept stopping and doing other things instead of focusing on me. Long story short i hated the makeup and was there for 3 hours and started crying and expressing that i was very unhappy with the work that was done and the main makeup artist left before even finishing because “she had somewhere to be” VERY unprofessional. The employees that were still there ignored me while i balled my eyes out. TRAUMATIC experience to say the least. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone I know.

AJ Sisodia: Post on behalf of my wife. Extremely disappointed and can't believe this is the type of service provided.This is the first review I have ever posted, because candidly, its just not worth the time. However, I am willing to make an exception for this store. I first went to this store several years ago when we first moved to Wellesley; there were multiple salespeople milling about and talking to each other. When I walked through the door, they looked at me, and then looked away and kept talking. I am not someone who needs help in a cosmetic/skin store so I let it slide, but was surprised that not one of them greeted me. I went to get the product I needed (La Mer moisturizer); there was none on the shelf. I walked up to a sales person, who still ignored me, finally I said, "Excuse me?" and a woman turned around. I asked if they had any of the La Mer in the storage drawers, and she shrugged and said, 'Whatever we have is out." Then promptly turned back around to her conversation. Keep in mind, this is a $375 dollar moisturizer and for what it's worth, I had just gotten off work and was still in a suit. I left, and as I walked out the door all I could wonder was my god, if this was my experience how do these people treat customers who aren't dressed well and buying extravagant skin creams. I did not go back for two years. Today, I ran out of a product I needed and the online shipping options were terrible. I knew it was carried at this store, and still debated whether I would rather go-without than give them any business. I decided that maybe I should give them a second chance. When I walked in, same experience. At least 3 employees, all looked up then looked away. One was on her phone, scrolling through. I will note that again, the products were not well stocked. I grabbed what I needed and walked straight to the register, where I waited.....and waited.... and waited. Finally, a woman looked at me and said, "Do you need to check out?" What else would I be doing?!?!?!?! She then rang up my purchase, did not make eye contact once, put it in a bag, and handed it to me without a word. She did not greet me, she did not thank me, she did not make eye contact with me. I could not have been more of an inconvenience to them.Overall, I have to say that this place has given me two of the absolute oddest shopping experiences I have ever had. It goes beyond bad....its just weird. I literally have had consistently nicer experiences at the DMV than this store.

My Wellesley friends highly recommended Sonia (by name) to assist me with my combination maturing skin. Sonia was sincere, knowledgeable and professional. The products I purchased worked well with my skincare routine...I can now wear foundation again without break-outs, flaking and dryness. Sonia saved my covid neglected skin with her product expertises. I am glowing again👍❤️🙏I look forward to revisiting the Wellesley Blue-Mercury again.
J.T. Productions: Terrible customer service. Needed a specific product, tried calling for 2 hours and just got a busy signal. Finally drove the hour to the store and they were closed early with not so much as a note.They have no posted hours or phone number on their door, I definitely won't waste my time trying to give them business again.What a horrible, horrible company
