Tom Fletcher: Jorge L from Atlantic HVAC came over to the house today to repair a whole house humidifier that hadn’t been working in more than 12 years. Our previous HVAC company tried to diagnose the issue (that they created) and wasn’t able to repair it and as a result we had written the unit off as something that we needed to replace, which would have been extremely expensive. Jorge was able to diagnose the issue almost immediately (humidistat wire connection) and had the system up and running in a matter of minutes. We’ve had Jorge over at the house a couple of times and really appreciate his professionalism and his technical expertise. Oğuz G: Fraud Alert! Be careful with this company. We have a navien water heater in our property. The flow censor was faulty and needed to be replaced. Navien has a great customer service and warranty in place. We called them and they gave us Homeworks phone number as a navien certified technician near my house. We called homeworks and scheduled a visit. They sent a technician named Jonathan who was not navien certified and didnt know what to do with the heater. He even asked for heater manuals so he can do the settings again. He stayed in the property for over two hours but couldnt diagnose the problem. Later on we did it with Navien tech support on the phone. Unfortunately Navien sent the part to HomeWorks for them to replace. The part and labor were covered under the warranty but homeworks refused to accept it. They wanted to charge me $600 to change a flow censor in the unit. I explain this to Navien customer service and they literally called it " absurd amount to charge on a job like this" So they denied the claim. I asked for my part back so i can get it replaced by another plumber. A manager called Nicole refused to give the part back and this time asked for $650 to replace it. She said she wouldnt itemize the charges on the bill and just charge the amount and asked me to get it back from Navien. What a horrible practice. I am going to file a complaint with the MA licensing board as well as better business bureau. Stay away from these frauds!

Mjc Jones: I am a senior citizen with limited income. Had the assessment done. The insulation work couldn't be performed due to an upgrade in the electrical system that was needed for 800.00. I couldn't afford it. I asked if they could do basic insulation such as doors and around windows to keep the draft out. I was told that they couldn't do it since the other work wasn't included.Now the house is drafty and the gas bill continues to rise. Unfortunate set of circumstances. I thought the program was to save energy not to waste it.

I started calling heating companies and was told I would be put on a waiting list or the earliest appointment was the end of the week. I was lucky to find Boston Boiler and Furnace. I told the owner Scott about my situation and he came that same day. He assessed the situation thoroughly and concluded my system needed to be replaced. Scott worked out an arrangement to suit my needs and quickly ordered the system. His work installing it was quick and efficient. He always responded to texts and phone calls. Our furnace went this weekend, and after 2 days of trying to have people come out, we were told we need to switch over to propane and do a whole new system and because our old system was so dated and needed to be brought up to code nobody wanted to get into it. Boston Boiler and furnace answered our call at 2 am (I literally called in tears) because we needed heat. Instead of turning our job down because it wasn't a cushy job or high paying job, he helped us out. He drove over and hour away and worked this whole weekend to make sure we had heat, and was so kind. He will never understand how much him helping us out meant to our family. Erin Wheeler Zimbler: Wow, I cannot recommend Scott enough! We woke up to a non-functioning boiler in our new house (so we are completely unversed in how to troubleshoot this system) the Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving. Scott had us send pictures of our boiler and then called to walk us through the problem (the system was out of water, forehead slap), he saved the day! The bigger problem is that the water feed switch (which regulates the water flow and level within the boiler) is broken/malfunctioning, so we will be calling him after the holiday to set up a service to fix that. Rachel DeFilipp: I have been using Scott for almost 5 years now. He has helped repair my furnace, performs AC maintenance and replaced one of my AC condensers. He has proven to be very responsive, coming out on a short notice despite being busy and always returning texts and calls. The first summer of COVID when our condenser broke, he promptly sourced and installed a new one despite supply shortages. Scott is an expert at his trade and has worked hard to fix our existing units saving us the large cost of replacement. I highly recommend Scott. John Schwirtz: I've contacted Scott twice for issues with our HVAC system. In both cases, he was on time and extremely courteous. He took time to walk through exactly what he is going to do and even walked me through each step as he was doing it to help me learn about the system for the future. Scott will be my first call should something go wrong in the future.
AJ Raczkowski: I had the boiler in my home replaced last summer with a Navien combi boiler installed by Scott from Boston Boiler & Furnace. When I was gathering estimates, Scott came to my house the next day early in the morning, which was much appreciated since I didn't have to take time off from work. The quoted price was extremely fair and reasonable. The installation itself was done over a weekend, which again was appreciated since I didn't need to take time from work. When the cold weather rolled around, I noticed a kickspace heater was not working. Scott came back to fix it at no charge, although it took several weeks to get him to come by (he gets very busy in the late fall/winter, and since it wasn't an emergency, I can't blame him for that). Would recommend, although with most boiler contractors, try to get your work done in spring/summer when they aren't as busy.
