From our first meeting with the president, Dave Supple, who inspected all corners of house and talked about our goals, to the wrap-up of the punch list with the project manager and lead designer, everything went exceedingly well.The process began with a series of broad design options and price ranges, then settled to one primary design during which we refined all the details and finalize the budget; then we moved onto all the material, appliance and finish selections, which is also done hand-in-hand with NEDC's designers.Once construction began, we had a weekly meeting with the project manager to discuss what had been done the prior week and what was coming. This allowed for timely course correction.The project was completed on time - maybe even a bit ahead of schedule, I don't remember, despite some COVID permitting setbacks - and at the budget that was set at the end of the design process. As a painting contractor, I'm wary of contractors who often cut corners, leave a messy job-site, and use subpar products. Every single project of NEDC has been very easy to work on. Ken Conte: Hired Capital Construction to replace a 24 year old roof. From the first meeting with Shawn their Project Consultant to the final walk through with James the Project Manager, everyone at Capital was highly professional. taking the time to explain every aspect of the re-roofing job. The quote was in line with my expectations and they did not try to sell me things I did not need. On the day of the job, the crew showed up early, taking care to protect the exterior of the house while the old roof material was being removed. During the installation, I had a couple areas of concern I brought to the attention of Louise and they were quickly addressed and resolved to my satisfaction. When the job was complete, the area around the house was completely cleaned of all debris. I would definitely recommend Capital Construction.UPDATE: I am sorry I wrote this review, should have waited a while. Since the roof was replaced Capital Construction has been very difficult to deal with. First it took more than 6 month to receive the warranty documentation. I have been trying for well over 3 month to get Capital Construction to address two issues with the new roof. All I get is excuses "oh, I didn't see your email" (Karla) or "I thought Jude was going to contact you" (Danny, Project Manager). In the past week I was told they would be on site 3 days and each day they were a no-show. I would stay away from this company.

iloveangels Scout2010: We had their salesman come out too measure our windows for a quote. 2 picture windows and 9 regular standard size. Their quote was $42,000. Being seniors and with a Manager's special the price dropped to $39,000.After we told the salesman it was a little bit pricey he then asked us if we would like to get them for free. We were stunned. So, I asked him again "How that would happen"? He again stated it would cost us $0. He then took 20 minutes to finally tell us that when we sell our house just ask for an extra $40,000. THAT IS NOT FREE. FREE IS WHEN YOU PAY NOTHING. HE SHOULD HAVE SAID, "WHAT IF YOU COULD GET YOUR MONEY BACK WHEN YOU SELL YOUR HOUSE".Anyway, that was a lie he was trying to trick us with to purchase the windows. Such a turn-off.Also, they show you one window from another company compared to their's. They state how much heavier their windows are. Well, no kidding since it's quite larger then the other company's.And, be prepared for their calls to you on Sundays. Terrible salesman lies. We are now searching other companies. Wonder what other tricks they say?Anyway,

I've probably bothered Ian more than necessary as my previous experience was fresh and I need the kitchen done. I’ve horror stories about bad contractors, specifically about not showing up to finish or start and stop work. This was my biggest concern but as soon as we started the first project, that concern was gone. Ian is most importantly, responsive and attentive to what is asked. He was very patient with my demands and helped me make the tough decisions with his, anything can be done attitude. When a contractor picks up the phone anytime you call, that’s a good one. The quality of work is exceptional, I was all over them everyday micro managing so there was no room for bad carpentry etc. but I think the key is that Ian understands that these projects are very important to his customers and a lot of money is being spent, so that feel of the customer gets what they want is there.
