Sarah Nehring: Jwicks is the only candle brand I’ll buy. An incredibly steady burning flame combined with romantic scents that make your mouth water… it’s an experience in itself that fills the room. I highly recommend these beautiful candles that coincide with lovely customer service.

corexcore617: I stopped into the store yesterday to purchase some Whipped Matcha candles (sooo good) and was helped by Erinn; she helped answer a bunch of my questions about the new wax melts in that scent and even gave me a coupon for August that would help reduce the cost of one of the wax melting devices they sell, which I really appreciated. This is a great location and the attendants are usually very knowledgeable and friendly, and Erinn was definitely both of those things. Thanks again for the help!

Robin Macneil: Far below average. I understand mask mandates and the purpose they serve, however, lowering my mask to sniff a candle poses no more risk than eating at a restaurant with my mask down the entire time. The manager ran across the store to tell me to pull my mask up while I was far more than 6 feet away from anybody (until she stood next to me) and then proceeded to explain to my husband how you can "smell" through your mask. Absolutely absurd. Apparently covid only exists in Somerville. Also if smelling through the mask is so easy than how much protection does it actually provide? If you plan on smelling the product before you buy I suggest you shop in lynnfield or another near by location
John Ohrenberger: This is a great location. The staff are so friendly and helpful, pointing out sales and new product. They even remember me between visits! And the store is beautifully kept, and has a lot of selection. I feel very comfortable and welcome shopping here, great treatment of customers.

If you ask her a simple question about the offers, she will give you a leaflet and tell you to just scan that instead of asking her. Their point of sale system was down and she kept arguing that I did not tap my card on time like I should know exactly when to tap and blamed me for the delay in making a payment. Do not go here. They make it sound like you made the worst mistake of your life going into this store.

Connie Chung: Bad experience and poor customer service! I ordered online and pick up in store during the vacation in Boston. The staff packed the wrong item, i discovered when i was back to hotel. I bought 4 bottles of shower gel, but the staff gave me 3 shower gel and 1 body lotion. Due to labor day, i am unable to reach out to customer service until Tuesday. I have already back to Baltimore, and the nearest store is 5 miles away from my apartment. It is unreasonable to ask me paying extra $30-40 for taking uber to the store for exchange the wrong item, which is caused by staff’s mistake! Why should I suffer, not my mistake. Bad customer service.

Sar: Candles were extremely hard to open. I have weak hands and these made it hurt quite a bit due to packaging. Additionally, the smell was really not worth the price, average at best, and my pets really don't seem to like it. Would NOT recommend.

Paul Howard: Unfortunately the response time from the team is completely lacking. I was very disappointed as I have been a customer of this brand since it’s inception in 2015 (when it started in a small shop directly underneath my building) and have ordered several times per year since then. I submitted a request for a custom order from their website. I received no reply after a weeks time. I then submitted the request a second time and highlighted it had been a week and I still has not heard anything. Another week later (almost 14 days since my initial inquiry) I received an email apologizing for the lack of reply and was I still interested. I did email back and mention my disappointment with the delay in reply, but that I would still be interested. It’s now been 5 days (3 business days) since that email and I again have received no reply. I am incredibly disappointed at how unprofessional this is and will not be ordering any future items from this local brand.

Franton Lin: Cute little candle shop in Boston! Their candles are sold at various locations across the US and online, but check out this home base location if you’re in the area. This is the only candle shop in Boston I could find that does reasonably priced 100% soy refills for old containers.I love the fragrances they do, and even got a white tea lavender reed diffuser for my bathroom - so fresh! I have also given their candles as gifts, and they were very well received.Definitely not the cheapest candles on the block, but you get what you pay for: high quality 100% soy wax candles with great fragrances. Plus, you support a local, women-owned business! Check out their Instagram @notedcandles for lots of great tips on candle care.

After months of waiting for them to arrive with no updates, when my wife did call for a status, she was sworn at by the salesperson Keegan and hung up on. One would think ordering several hundred dollars of products would inspire great customer service. After waiting months for those products, we were made to feel it was our fault for being so demanding. You know, since we were expecting products to take less than 3 months to arrive, or to get some proactive updates from the store. Neither ever happened.

The owner, Justene, has 3 sisters and owns a sister company, JS Interiors, which is an interior design firm.There are so many great items to choose from: unique jewelry, beautiful cards, interesting home decor, and fabulous hostess gifts. Justene also has showrooms that demonstrate her impeccable taste. I highly recommending visiting Deirfiur Home!
Erin DiNatale: This store is a hidden gem. I popped in on a whim while in South Boston running errands and was so pleasantly surprised to find great gifts at a surprisingly low price point. On my second visit, more recently, I ordered some custom furniture for my bedroom. Justene the owner helped me get items that would have cost far more at major furniture brands like Jordans and I still got top quality pieces. She has a great esthetic and really helped me think outside of my typical taste to give our space a fresh look. I will be a customer for life!
