General Assembly Boston: what do users think?
workout binod pro: No response from voicemail or email
Husain Al-Mohssen: Positive:ValueSome of my best employees came from here.
Juan Manuel Moreno: Your money is better spent on an actual accredited degree. They sell themselves on misleading students that you can get a job within 1-6 months. But, most of these "jobs" are not with their help, and are internships that end in 3-6 months, and then you are back on square one. Their "career coaches" are only concerned in keeping their "employment" rate up and don't really care about the students.
Samantha Mackowitz: Class was interesting but a little basic for what I was looking for! Great space and teacher though.
Lloyd Whyte: Location location location.
Brad: Initially I was really excited to take a class at GA. I had been taking online classes for Data Science (Not from GA), and I thought and in person class room environment was the next step to push me to the next level.Expectations: I thought we would review material, take notes, work on examples together, have access to a deeper understanding the the instructor could provide. Be assigned homework and then review that homework together. A more structured environment, similar to a college level class.Reality: The class starts with a 20ish minute instruction of that days lesson. Then remaining time of the 3 hours is spent working on a practice lab and during that time you are allowed to ask questions. There is not enough time to complete the lab, but I expected to have homework. The notes are not easily laid out and I directly asked on multiple occasions to the instructor and TA where in the notes certain things were that pertained to the homework, which they couldn’t find and directed me to Google, and responded with, “the notes could have been written and organized better.” It was a big frustration that many in the class shared.I wanted to spend the time in class working on material and going over lessons, then do homework on my own time. I reached out to the success team and said this was not what I had expected and what my options were. The options were to drop the class for a partial refund or speak with the instructor. Since I was only going to get a partial refund I wanted to stay with the class. At the end of each class you can leave feedback, so I left feedback about how I thought the class went. In the next class the instructor pulled me into a private meeting and asked why I left poor feedback, I was a little surprised I was singled out from my feedback since it’s required. But It was an opportunity to express my frustrations. I explained how I felt the current way the class is taught is no different than an online class. We ended with agreeing to disagree because the instructor said this was the way it was and nothing changed. The instructor told me to be a little more greedy in the questions time since a few students seemed to monopolize the time, so I did feel like he cared and wanted to try and help me more.Eventually we had a TA come in and help with the class, which was great because there were more options to ask questions. And I found that the TA did a much better job explaining the work and lessons. But that didn’t happen for the entire class, I would say only about 30% of the class near the end.Wrote my initial review about how disappointed I was with the class and GA reached out to me and tried to resolve it, I said I had already reached out once before and they respond they thought it had resolved itself. They offered me a free bootcamp class, but I didn’t want to take anymore classes from GA, they offered me a partial refund which I accepted. One of my complaints, which I made to the Instructor and the student success team and the TA was that if my questions are not answered and I’m Googling so much, why did I pay to come the class? That was the reality, the cost didn’t merit what the class provided. While I liked that the student success team tried to help resolve the issues, there really isn’t anything they could do .Final Thoughts: The class is not worth the cost, maybe it was related to this specific class, but I didn’t feel the lessons were thought out well or explained well. I wish I had spent the money on online courses and had I been offered a full refund to drop after my initial complaint near the start of the class I would have accepted and left and used that money elsewhere.
Laura Aguirre: Whenever I try to get information or go to an info session they are not the friendliest bunch actually kind of rude.
Kamal Hans: Best way to stay up to date with the technology and marketing industry. They partner with industry experts and give you the best.
Keezer: A minimalist space for creative classes.

Launch Academy: what do users think?
Forrest Gray: Career support post graduation, as well as their hiring network are largely overstated. Getting a degree is a much much better option with a similar price tag depending on where you go.
Christopher Lemieux: They do not offer very much support at all after the cohort. I was a single dad at the time and the money used forThis would have been extremely helpful elsewhere, and with additional support after the cohort I believe many more students wouldSucceed and make this a top tier coding boot camp choice as the staff is knowledgeable. But once you are out of the program they only care about moving on to the next group in my opinion, not those whose money has already been taken.
Alex Bernstein: I have never interacted with a more knowledgeable, professional and caring group than the team at Launch Academy. It’s clear that they genuinely want you to succeed as a developer. It says a lot that alumni show up to voluntarily mentor and tutor the current cohort because they’ve built such an incredible community. 11/10 would recommend!
Nader Mokhtar: I love launch academy, amazing and inclusive place where people from different backgrounds come learn webdevlopment. It's been and amazing 14 weeks so far. The instructors are warm and inviting. And I have learned a ton so far. Looking forward to graduation mid February. You have to talk to the founder also super nice and very honest about expectations.
Richard Farbro: Great tutors
Tony Zheng: 24 parking at shopper garage $13 weekend

Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center: what do users think?
Kazi Mukitul: free for Full time students. Amazing place for fitness exercise and games.
Ben Senderling: It's a good gym. But they're doing some equipment cleaning and renovations and appear to not be bring back the 110 and 120 lbs dumbells. Those were a significant reason I switched to this gym.
Jonathan Nash: Great facilities, excellent equipment selection.
Bob Kao: Nice gym and swimming pool
Youssef Ghobreyal: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Chris Chang: Please state that you're not open on Google too.
Omar: Awesome gym! Loads of equipment and with 20,000 SQ feet you won't be disappointed. Of course around peak times you would normally find a line for the core lifts( bench, deadlift and squat) but with two floor of equipment even a indoor track?! Love this place!
Sage Holloway: Too crowded. Generally a nice space but I can almost never do my workout plan because it’s overly crowded and not enough space/equipment.
Mikhail M. Nitko: Hi-- I am actually part of the staff at BU and use this center, and I want to note a few things:1. There are staff-only locker rooms, which by my experience are used 80% by staff and I'm not sure how some of the younger patrons of these got the keypad codes to get in. Its my only reason for 4 and not 5 stars.2. Your BU Blue Cross/Blue Shield health benefit can be used here and will reimburse $150.3. If you don't buy a locker membership, finding a locker during a crowded time (4pm+) can be tough, but not impossible.4. The equipment is new and quite good, but be mindful that these are kids you're working out with, some of whom were in highschool the year prior, and many will not know gym etiquette about wiping things down after use, or not starting a workout infront of someone using the wall mirror for their workout. And other small nuisances.5. The sauna is located in the locker room for the pool, but bear in mind that it is dry, the temperature control is outside the room and I think goes only to 130 or so, and is a bit temperamental (in the men's locker room), and more importantly-- there is no water to place on the stones. So the students/staff get water from elsewhere and bring it in water bottles to place it on the stones so the room has steam. So don't expect an authentic sauna experience at 180 degrees, and ladling water.6. The indoor track is really nice, and rare, and I am super-grateful for it because treadmills are so boring. But take note of what I said in point #3-- you're also sharing it with kids who don't know gym etiquette yet, and will not read the signs that say that on specific days of the week you run/walk in one or another specific direction around the track. So you will run into them, and will need to correct them, but so far all have taken the correction in a friendly way.7. Some locker-room showers do have broken soap dispenses that don't work despite being full, so you'll need to be aware and bring your own.Otherwise the facility is plain great -- clean facility, new equipment, good airflow on the running track, minimal college highjinks from the students that are confined to the locker room.
Joseph Walker: Great facilities, excellent equipment selection. Only complaint is the Men's locker room could use better ventilation, if you catch my meaning.
Chuan Hu (Archuan): I come here at least twice a week! Good facilities and friendly staff.
Dave Bedard: First rate
Sarah Bella: too crowded, but nice
Xiangyi Meng: One of the best things of being a bu student.
Desmond Molloy: Parents/community members, please take care using facilities: FitRec has at least one employee facing criminal charges for indecent exposure.
Mariusz Kaczka: I climbed in this gym when in Boston; reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it :)
Eric Lazarian: Plenty of parking, not too expensive, machines are new, great track. Lockers suck, little floor help. Good location.
Meifeng Jiang: Best. Good big pool
Agent MeatBun: Such a nice place to work out.It has the best equipment, there should always have enough space and equipment for u.
Robert Gerstner: The Fitrec has been an amazing part during my studies at Boston University. It's a great place to meet and talk to other students from BU and the building offers everything you need for doing great sports (perfect for swimming, climbing, running, weight lift, soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, squash, dancing and much more ...)
Pengcheng Zhou: Best University Gym in Boston Area.

Invictus Boston: what do users think?
Jason Michas: Best CrossFit gym in Boston! Awesome coaches and great class availability at multiple locations
Michael Lordi: I started at Invictus Boston back in September. The programming, coaches, and community are all awesome! Shout out to the St. Jimmy’s crew!
Sophia Cue: Invictus is a great community and offers incredible programming and expert coaching! :) everyone is so nice and the workouts are killer. HIGHLY recommend
Meredith Anderson: Going here not only helps me keep in shape, but is also a fun, social experience! Very nice members, friendly coaches who really know their stuff, and a really nice facility!Don't be intimidated by theworkouts of the fact that it's CrossFit. If anything is beyond your current skill level, it can always be modified.
Christopher Lento: This is a great crossfit style gym with excellent coaches and good amenities.
Jon Gunter: I dropped in here for 4 days while I was in town. Nice facility and helpful coaching staff. Classes can fill up fast but they offer lots of different (concurrent) class time options. I will definitely be back!
Jessica French: My husband and I dropped in and had a fantastic workout. The staff members and athletes at Invictus are helpful, welcoming and friendly. Great, clean gym! Thank you Invictus Boston!
Jennifer Ashburn: I am writing as a drop in member of Invictus. My hubs is a cross fit guy and it’s a great way for us to spend some time together getting strong and staying fit. We are both in our 50’s. I’ve been watching from a far for several years as my husband has been physically transformed by his training at XFit Invictus. He is literally adding years to his life by taking charge of his fitness and the coaches and other members are so supportive and engaging in helping that happen. It’s a place where all you have to do is step in the door and work the program to the best of YOUR ability. If you are consistent….you will see results. The community is such that you want to come back over and over again.Personally, I find Invictus to be a very special place. The owners are always on hand and very engaged with everyone at the box. This culture clearly trickles down because I’ve found everyone to be very friendly and supportive from elite athletes to beginners. The thing I truly didn’t understand about xfit before taking a few classes was that it can be scaled for EVERYONE! Your starting point DOES NOT MATTER! I’ve never feel judged (except maybe by myself) by anyone involved. It’s all encouragement and support. If you are looking for structure, guidance and coaches that are excited about fitness, their jobs and helping you grab hold of your health then take a class at Invictus! You won’t regret it….well maybe except for some Muscle soreness but that comes with the territory!!
Michael Cahill: Positive:Quality
Jose Andres Gonzalez: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAbsolutely the best CrossFit community in Boston!! Great and inclusive people all around who make you feel comfortable with your personal fitness journey. 5/5 recommend -- trust me, you won't regret it!
Joe Hussey: Positive:QualityGreat programming and atmosphere. Coaches are very knowledgable. Lots of available equipment. Big, clean locker room.
Camberly Moriconi: Invictus Boston is so much fun!! Always a great workout with even better people
Arnav Sheth: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityFantastic environment. Many coaches, many workouts, many classes. Lots of options with very supportive and friendly coaches! Strong recommend.
Mohammed Bawazeer: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat friendly place. The coaches are very helpful and constructive. The WODs are variable but they stick to a work out plan. Love it!!
Greg Skerik: Dropped in here while I was in town, the coach was awesome, everyone was very welcoming and it was a fun experience!
Daniela Silva: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAwesome community! Everyone is very supportive and coaches are amazing.
Carson Yates: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Tom Cubeta: Awesome coaches, programming, and facilities
Mike Kaplan: Before joining Invictus I had not been in a gym in years and was unhappy with the shape I was in. I thought it would be intimidating going in there for the first time, but it couldn't be further from the truth. From the coaches to other members and even the owner, it has continued to be a welcoming place for people of all skill levels to workout, and I am grateful for how they've helped shape my fitness. I've now been there for 7 years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
Joseph Butler: Great experience here. I am a garage gym crossfit guy. I try to drop in different places when I am traveling. Being that I follow invictus online programming this was def fun. Facility is one of the nicest I have been to. Showers, towels, huge locker room. Workout space is great. Had an excellent coach and kept the usual friendly CF culture. Recommend to any traveling CF addict.
