Mike & Patty's: what do users think?
Robb Morford: I'm about to post publicly a thought I've never had in my life. "Wow, that English muffin is so good!!" I had the classic sandwich with breakfast and loved every bite. The neighborhood around this place is super interesting too. Grab a coffee and walk around!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Karl Stratos: The best part about this place is the convenience. The food comes out freshly prepared fast. You'd have to go through a lot of nonsense to get this level of food if you go to a sit-down restaurant. The sandwich itself is pretty good, but I wouldn't call it the best sandwich of my life or anything like that as some folks seem to be saying (I've had much better). For a small sandwich over 10 bucks, it's not exactly cheap either, but the convenience more than makes up for it.
Brad Takala: This place is fantastic. If I don’t have breakfast at home I order a sandwich for pickup. My go to is The Baller and I order Breakfast Crack when I want to mix it up. The lines outside attest to how good they are. Order ahead!
Sarabeth Spitzer: Unparalleled Boston breakfast sandwiches. Could hang with the best of them in NYC. You truly cannot go wrong- everything is delicious, amazingly priced, fresh ingredients, lovely crew. Worth a visit (or dozens)
Sidarth Dasari: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes AvocadoMore
Colin Cusick: Friendly staff and delicious breakfast!
steve cardona: I’d give it ten stars if I could. Everything is good. All of the ingredients are good quality and carefully chosen and it all tastes fresh. Can’t go wrong with any option. Will make it a point to visit every time I’m in Boston.
Austin A: Tiny little corner spot with breakfast and lunch offerings. The menu is slightly limited and repetitive. Everything is hot and fresh and tasty, just don't expect a sit down cafe area with fast service. Place can only handle 3-5 people inside at once, pour your own coffee and get your own juice out of the fridge. More of and go or call ahead.
Joseph Meyer: Damn this is delicious. The chef even had me try the bacon…. Make no mistake, this is not regular bacon, it is rich, Smokey thick bacon… delicious
E.: Second time i visited Boston and second time i tried this place. First time i had the breakfast grill crack sandwich and this time i had Carolina caviar. 10/10 soo good . Their chocolate milk is also soo good and I’m lactose intolerant 😂😂 my boyfriend also liked the cold brew 👍🏼
Rob Goodwin: This is hands down the best breakfast burrito you will find in New England!Recommended dishes Mission Breakfast Burrito …More

Josh Greenberg: Nice quick grab and go breakfast sandwich stop nestled in Bay Village… What a great sandwich- Try the Carolina Caviar!!
Laurel: Crazy small!!! Like maybe 5 people can fit inside...No seating. Food was ok. Breakfast only. No menu inside. There's a QR code on the pole outside, Or order online. Fatty bacon.Parking: No parking
Michael Gurevich: Amazing sandwiches 😉
Dan DiPaolo: A neighborhood staple for a reason. Fresh products from New England populate the ingredient listings. Food is always fast and delicious. They call their most popular sandwich the Breakfast Grilled Crack for a reason.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Breakfast Grilled Crack …More

계수나무: 훌륭한식사였다.음식의 간도 좋았고 베이컨, 소시지도 굳!써버도 친절하고 훌륭한 로컬식당
Travis W.: Classic American diner with some upscale menu options (Duck confit hash) near Massachusetts Ave on Washington St. A popular local favorite and its easy to see why with the friendly staff and great food with generous portions and a welcome change to many of the dining options in the South End.I had the Reuben with onion rings, pickle, and some coffee. The Reuben is served on perfectly grilled dark Rye bread that has a nice crisp to it but isn't hard. The real star of this sandwich though is the corned beef which it is loaded with. It is lighter on the kraut than I would have preferred, but that is personal taste. The onion rings were crispy (again without being hard) and were piled high. The pickle is more of a brined cucumber and that cucumber flavor really comes through. The coffee was robust in flavor compared to many you find in dining establishments.Total bill was $25 (minus tip).Overall, a great place for breakfast or lunch and I'll definitely be back!
Penny Batten: Food was not great! Service was not with a smile and the atmosphere well let's just say I DID FEEL WELCOMED!! Will NEVER revisit.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Bostonboyz boyzBoston: Coned beef hash here is so good 👍. home fries could be better seasoned eggs are eggs lol but seriously that hash yo. Mmm 😋 remember i judge only on what i ate doesn't mean they don't have other things that are good.Food: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Barry Hughes: Incredible amount of food for the price. I had my 'emergency room' meal at about 11am. I'm set for the day with that haha. Friendly staff and the place is spotless.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Large Buttermilk Pancakes, Emergency Room …More
Stephanie Attoumo: If you follow me then you know I love a good diner. Mike's was good and I'd go again. I ordered breakfast to eat in and some tips and chicken to go. My eggs were perfect, bacon soft just the way I like it. Homefries were good but could have used some more seasoning. Pancakes were odd and disappointing. They were big and golden so I was initially excited. Then it cut it and took a bite. I almost thought it was not cooked right but the waitress assured me it was. The pancake was very heavy and dense. I've never had a pancake like that and did not like it. The steak tips and chicken entree I ate for dinner. Had enough leftover for breakfast today. Steak tips flavorful and chicken was nice and juicy. I'd definitely go again. As I sat there and the staff passed by with other orders everything looked so good. Huge portions for sure. Friendly staff. No parking available. Must park on street.
Jimmy JAM: Classic Diner food. Portions large but presentation and flavors not extra ordinary. Griddles burger had funny taste and flavor, bacon barely cooked. Pastrami salty. French toast flattened for what effect I dont know. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here..solid reliable diner Fare. Don't expect more.
Mark Powell: Wow one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in the US, steak cooked perfectly, tasty home spuds and eggs not too runny, fully recommendRecommended dishes Hash, Steak and Eggs …More
Laura Strong: Mike's City Diner is soooo freaking good! Best homefries I have ever had and HUGE portions! I am just sad I didn't find them sooner!
sébastien bourdin: Excellente experience dans un diner américain traditionnel. Des plats succulents, une cuisine vivante et de qualité. Des prix abordables et un service au top. Des serveurs investis avec le sourire. Je recommande
Ashley Townsend: If I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would! Although I’ve heard a lot of great things about this place, they are not versed AT ALL on food allergies despite the note on the bottom of the menu stating otherwise. I called this afternoon to get additional information because of the allergies I have. I specifically asked for a manager and was told that she was busy and unable to help me at that moment. So I was then handed off to an EXTREMELY RUDE waitress named Julie. Whom after I shared about my allergies, knew basically no information and essentially said that it’s better if I don’t dine there and had not one clue about cross contamination or any idea of how alterations to dishes can be made. Since waiters are not as thoroughly versed on food, ingredients, and kitchen cross contamination, I always ask for a manger since they are able to answer my questions adequately. While trying to explain this to Julie, she continued to cut me off, be rude and then hang up on me. She was a DISGRACE of a waitress and I truly hope she gets better training on how to appropriately speak and act with customers. Additionally, if the chef is unable to speak English as Julie so rudely shared, then quite frankly this establishment should take off their acknowledgment of allergies because it doesn’t seem like they can be very accommodating. If you have allergies, you’re better off avoiding this place because they are not knowledgeable at all about them and you’ll most likely end up having an allergic reaction. I would highly recommend these places that have delicious food and are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating: Five Horses Tavern, The Friendly Toast, and North Street Grille.

Trinity Machan: Food was good no doubt about that. However the the service is a joke I have never been rushed to pay my bill with a waitress hovering over me demanding if I was using a credit card or debt. When she brought me my bill I was on a business call instead of waiting the 2 minutes it took for me to get off the phone than bringing it she insisted on trying to talk over me asking how my food was. This has to be the worst service I have ever received.

Priscilla Ababio: I was not impressed at all. My French toast was very eggy and did not even look appealing. The server I can’t even find words for she would place drinks, utensils and syrup at the corner of the table this caused me to have to reach over the table multiple times to grab things. The only plus side was my girlfriend enjoyed her bagel and pancakes.
Amber Decker: We were visiting, and on our last morning, we popped into Thornton’s with our two young children. The entire staff was so friendly. Susette was our server, she was gracious and quick to take care of us. There was a tall man who was super friendly, as well, and really everyone just had a smile and a great demeanor. This will definitely be an every time stop for us whenever we visit Beantown!

Legna Primera: The cinnamon roll waffle: was delicious and crispy. The fruit it came with was fresh and the whipped cream as just sweet enough. Really good! The Atlantic Benedict eggs: it was OK. It came a little cool and the egg yolk wasn’t running like you would expect for Benedict eggs. The sauce was really good thought. I wasn’t a fan of the house potatoes–they were a little chewy. Will probably be back to try more menu items!

South Street Diner: what do users think?
Julianna K: Service was great, super nice people. My pancakes were tough.. I put my full strength in to cutting those bad boys. Warm syrup didn’t even soften them.Crispy Bacon and my boyfriends French toast were delicious
Veronica M: The cause of being an out of towner and making too many wrong turns led me to this magnificent gem of a diner. South Street Diner has everything right going for it. There was a line to enter the diner at 2 am and doormen to facilitate a smooth and steady transition into the diner. The food is very fresh, looks great and tastes amazing when you crave a late evening 2am breakfast meal. Last but not to say the least, from the line cooks to the serves were excellent. It has The most chill vibes from their synergy of providing above and beyond style of excellent service. I was very happy just watching the ladies work like the ants do without any qualms if someone accidently ordered twice. You see everything being cooked in front of you and the sounds and smells of sizzling food orders were making me crave for it even more. It was just fluid and everyone got along in harmony with a high volume of food orders being requested and everyone sang along with the music that was jammin' from the jukebox. The customers were singing in tune from separate tables. Beautiful! I wish all places were like this. It has the real family feel while dining there and not just the feed the people and grab your cash kind of deal. The prices are affordable $-$$ for an individual order. This was an accident that turned into a blessing. I was sad leave to continue my journey home because a few more wrongs turns were awaiting me ahead. LolPlease check out South Street Diner and support these hardworking ladies because we do not need another amazing such as this one closing down. I am happy just remembering this diner. Thank you to everyone working at South Street Diner for being the best at what you do.It is a small diner that is worth squeezing into. It did not have a ramp or wheelchair accessible entrance. A few steps to enter the diner. Street parking only.

Charlie's Sandwich Shoppe: what do users think?
Lara Cohen: One of the only authentic diners in Boston. Great diner breakfast options (ie omelette hashbrowns toast) and sandwiches make it easy for any time of day. Friendly staff. Always quick and good.
Nat Werth: The stuffed French toast did it better than my boyfriend, very responsive service. Gooey stuffing layered between thick toast of Texas. I loved how you could watch your food be cooked in front of you! 5/5 stars, I’d give six if I could…
pmw: I read the reviews and wondered about the negative ones I read, but I like to draw my own opinion. I'm glad I did, too, because we otherwise would have missed a great breakfast and some very friendly staff. All I can say is go try it yourself and give it a fair chance. Their prices are very good, as is the food. The setting is a bit small, but that's part of its charm. Reminiscent of the 1960's and 70's.If you found this review helpful, please tap the thumbs up to let me know. Thanks!

Shane Fitzpatrick: A go-to breakfast haunt of mine, every time I'm in Boston. Food is always exceptionally good, service prompt and courteous, and good value for money.Vegetarian options: Make your own omelette with whatever ingredients you want. I went for tomatoes, mushrooms, onion and cheddar cheese. Served with hone fries and wheat toast. And a gallon of never-ending top-up coffee.
Ordabek Duissen: Great breakfast place, delicious food!
Jose Cedeno: Great BLT! Even better service!…10 months later and this place is still great to come to. Soili always has great recommendations when you want to try something new, or just different. Always very helpful and attentive. Love this place.
Caro Jed: Tasty but highly processed foods - seems like bread (we had bagels and challah french toast) is store bought and not of the highest quality.I did not like the service at all - while I understand it was a busy Saturday morning, I did not feel welcome in this place. The lady behind the counter was rushing taking our order and seemed irritated when we were asking additional questions about the food.Lastly, this place has a set of some radiculous rules like they charge you $2 for sharing food, substitutions not allowed unless you pay extra, only 2 coffee refills allowed.Despite the food being tasty, I did not enjoy this place!
DJJ: You're never leaving here hungry! If you were overserved last night and you're looking through reviews to see if this will cure your hangover - let me tell you, it will! In addition, they have a full bar if you need that little nip to get you back in your lane.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Buttermilk Biscuits & Gravy, Hash, Turkey Hash, Sandwich …More

Archi Kamath: Extremely disappointing. The staff is rude and unappreciative. The french toast is okay, but the eggs are overdone and the smoothies were disgusting. Would not recommend this place- literally go anywhere else. This ruined my Boston experience. We paid over $120 for our food and the staff was extremely rude. Absolutely awful.

Joyce C: Very disappointed, I was at Revere's IHOP this morning, and my experience there couldn't have been worse, I ordered eggs benedict and it took 1 hour to be ready, and as soon as I started eating it wasn't eggs benedict, it was nothing more and nothing less than two boiled eggs, I complained to the waitress and she said I could change it, but I was with someone and I didn't want to wait another hour to eat, I asked for a discount on my check because I only wanted to pay for the boiled eggs and not 16$ for eggs benedict that I didn't receive, and that simply wasn't possible because according to them I should have changed plate, but waiting another hour for another plate was not in my plans, in short, worst experience, total disappointment.
Firas Abb: Awful, and disrespectful staff
Ritwik J P: Took 2 hours to get the food
Jhony AA: I’m choosing to take out nowadays and the service was great , and I also asked for a side of glazed strawberries and even though I got charged for them I believe the size for them was worth the money , also the packaging was great and it makes a customer feel great in my opinion that the employees write, notes on the bags for the customers , 10 out of 10 experience

Sharanigha Prathees: I usually go there every month with my kids. I usually get served respectfully. But, I went today (Easter day) with my kids. One of my son can’t wait in a chair for 30 minutes for food he is a special child. So I left him with my husband in the car. I took my first son only. When they ask how many people, I told them we are 3 but I want to order first then I will bring my another son, but they didn’t care about what I sail, staffs were really rude . They said bring your son then you can go inside. They just let me after I bring my another son. I had really hard time to keep my son in the chair. I took him back to my car and came back.Kid-friendliness: They did not care about special need kids.
