Peter Watchorn: I have consulted Grant for both of my computers. In each case he was quick, knowledgeable, cost efficient and incredibly reliable in follow up and answering my dumb questions (with which he showed great patience). He also saved me considerable sums of money by giving honest and direct advice concerning components, anti-virus program recommendations and also internet providers and what they offer. His repairs were completed ahead of schedule and the prices always reflected what he quoted in advance. Highly recommended (as I have done to other friends, who had similar experiences to mine).

He told me he forgot about my laptop because a brunch of others were stacked on top of it. A week or 2 later it was finally fixed but he charged me full price. I should've been given some sort of discount or credit for having to wait so long simply because it was forgotten.My laptop works great now so his work is good though

In both cases, Grant was top notch!He fixes things fast, and he is VERY cost efficient - he never offers a more expensive solution, when a simpler one will do. I am super impressed with his level of knowledge about everything computer related. He has literally seen it all!In case of my 8-year old iMac, he not only fixed what was broken, but also suggested upgrading to an SSD, which made it fast (again, after several years of sluggish performance).And in both cases, all of my photos/videos/music was restored, giving me a huge sigh of relief.In summary - I can't think of a more honest and professional place, highly recommend it to anyone!
Andrea Devine: Today I made my second call (after my initial visit of a year or so ago) to "PG," aka, in my book, Professor Grant. My issue was "only" an extraordinary bombardment of malware that took...a bit more than a few minutes to exterminate, but, of course, I left with my laptop in perfect order.A wonderful aspect of PG's work is that if the fix is an on-the-spot, PG will explain and he will teach. I won't be putting him out of a job, but I appreciated the lessons, and I left with my laptop and my feeling a bit more empowered in the relationship between Mac and me. (PG is the best!)
Celeste Willhite: DO NOT TRUST GRANT SARUMIAN AT PROFESSIONAL GEEKS. He is dishonest, unprofessional, and a cheat. My daughter took her failing laptop to Professional Geeks. He replaced the hard drive and cable, and charged over $500. He said the laptop was like new. Within weeks, the laptop began failing. She had returned cross country for the winter break and had critical work she needed to do for her position as a teaching assistant. In a desperate attempt to save the data from the “new” hard drive onto an external hard drive, we took it to data recovery specialists. They were unable to save anything. The hard drive had completely and utterly failed. She lost all of her data. I returned the hard drive to Grant and told him I expected a refund. He said that because the label had been removed and he wasn’t able to return the hard drive for a refund, he would not refund any of my money. The data recovery specialist said that he overcharged for the hard drive. What should have cost no more than $250, he charged me over $500 for. His selfish, unprofessional policies cost my daughter and me more aggravation and panic than I can possibly describe. I plan to take him to small claims court. You cannot trust this person.An update: after I posted this review, I received a partial refund from Grant. He maintained he had done no wrong.

Mary Wahl: In the first week of the semester, when I was supposed to be designing assignments and finishing my dissertation, my laptop simply stopped charging. It was still on warranty but availing myself of this would require shipping the 19-incher at cost to the manufacturer's repair center in another state for some indefinite period of time. I'm very glad I chose Professional Geeks instead. Fixed it in about a week (replacement parts were necessary) for exactly what I was quoted. Showed me on another laptop with a similar problem where the part was and what the repair would entail. Works fine now -- back to teaching and defending!
Dominique Stassart: Professional Geeks has been repairing our family's computers for a couple of years. Same service today as 3 years before: competent, knowledgeable, predictable and gracious. Professional Geeks responds within hours to request and it only takes up to a couple of days to fix the problems. You get what you were made to expect, and bills won't surprise you: they either stick to their estimate or they call you before hand. They also do home visit if necessary.

Brianna Lynne: Don’t go to geek squad!Listen, I get I have an older laptop (2017), and I expressed to the worker that the laptop itself turns on with no issue but the screen is black, he told me he doesn’t have screens to replace my laptop since the brand I have doesn’t make laptops anymore, he didn’t even bother taking it to the back and opening it up to see if there’s cables lose or whatever, just shushed us off, didn’t recommend trying anything other than plugging it in to a monitor. Cut me off, didn’t listen to me. Won’t be coming back.
Akshay Vidwans: Sold me a open box tv and tech support membership for $4,000. It turned out to be defective upon delivery. Did not follow up on the issue on the issue. Did not provide a replacement under terms of the warranty or the tech support membership. Cancelled my order on their own behalf without sending me a refund. Just horrible.

If I wanted a new laptop, I would electronics review sites to see which current laptops were best, then I would go to Amazon or eBay and buy one. I have bought quite a few laptops this way. Best Buy didn't even carry the models I ended up buying in store. It's a good store to go look around. The prices are very close to MSRP, so if you want a discount on your preferred laptop, try eBay or maybe Amazon. Brick and Mortar stores are okay for some things.

If I wanted to buy it first I could order it online for $60 less.The reason we bother to go to a store is so we can see and experience the product BEFORE we buy.It seems they have forgotten this. No wonder retail is suffering.

Zachary Marcou: The majority of employees at this location, including the assistant store manager(s), need some serious coaching. It seems like there is no supervision by upper management, or some kind of disconnect from leadership, to folks on the floor. All of the outstanding employees last a few weeks at this location, and are never seen again. Most (not all) of the existing staff lacks the knowledge to do their jobs, which is on leadership to correct. I've witnessed three separate occasions where the support desk in the center of the store treated folks so poorly that it devolved into a shouting match. Their attitudes are just putrid, and they wander around in packs to perform basic tasks; it's a massive waste of payroll. A lot these behaviors are correctable, but without a concerted effort, this location will continue to lose out on revenue that would otherwise be secured by outstanding customer service. It's a shame that performance isn't audited seemingly at all. I'm not interested in costing anybody their jobs, but am happy to provide additional detail so that staff may be retrained and coached up properly.
