Comfort Inn Boston: what do users think?
Sara Harman: I had a reservation and was unable to stay due to not having a bank issues credit card . FDA stated it was nothing they could do and i understood. but didnt change that I was upset. The lady who was stocking the snacks ,Was so nice and compassionate , she told me to grab a cup of coffee and stay in the lobby because it was cold outside. Cant remember her name. but I later found out she was the MANAGER.. not only was she stocking the shelfs she also took time to converse with me and make sure I was ok.
Cameron Salamone: 💯
Isaac Bocko: I stopped in looking for a room for the night. They did not have anything available, but they did allow me to charge my phone, (as it was dead). This was a huge move and allowed me to get to another location for the night. Very appreciative of the hospitality! Thank you!!Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Steven Grenier: It is what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel. The rooms are decent and clean. The breakfast isn't top-notch but good enough that you can stay and eat rather than head out to a restaurant. The lady at the check-in didn't look like her job made her happy. The second day I had to get my card replaced because it didn't work anymore. The lady at the front desk was friendly the second day (different lady).
Nicole Schubert: If you're going to advertise your hotel to be a "park+sleep+fly" hotel, then you should meet these basic requirements:1. Provide a place to park for your reservations.2. Provide a free airport shuttle or a cab voucher.3. Be in the vicinity of the airport. The Comfort Inn did none of those things. The hotel is a 20 min drive from the airport, not even slightly close. When we arrived, reception was slow to check people in and was rude in explaining the shuttle and parking, which was completely unavailable at the property. The hotel itself was jammed full of cars, clearly violating all fire lanes on site. We were told to park 3 blocks away at the Ramada, and had to make the sketchy walk back under a dark overpass in the freezing dark. We needed a 5am airport shuttle, and were told the 4, 5 and 6am shuttle that holds 8 ppl was full, in addition to being $10 per person each way. Since the hotel is so far from the airport, it only runs 1x an hour. We opted for a $25 Uber ride instead. So add $50 to our stay at this scam hotel.I gave them 1 star because the bed was comfortable. Other than that, the hallways smelled like weed and trains going by are close and very loud. Reception was rude and slow. Save your money and stay ANYWHERE else.
Colby Seaver: I left my truck at this hotel for their airport parking service. The hotel is in a bad neighborhood and while I was gone someone threw a rock into my windshield and smashed it. The hotel did not notify me even though it sat for 3 days threw a winter storm. They do not have a good security system and took no responsibility for the vandalism. I would not advise leaving your car here for any length of time.
Tasha Owen: My daughter, granddaughter and I stayed a partial night at the comfort inn Boston.First off, we were given a parking permit for my truck, but there was absolutely NO PARKING. While the hotel has enough spaces for the amount of rooms they have, apparently they do the park and fly program and I was told, it’s a first come, first serve parking and that I would need to find parking on the street. When I asked where I could park where my truck would not be towed, she just shrugged. Also, there are guest laundry facilities on site, but when I asked her if she could please make change so I could use the facilities, she told me I had to go across the road to the grocery store.Needless to say, we went and got change, did what needed done, but we’re awake mole of the night, checking to make sure the truck was still there. Not a good nights rest at all.
justin majeed: This is just the place you go to sleep. The hotel smells like it has smoked 7 packs of cigarettes a week for 30 yrs... had the unfortunate experience of being roomed next to ppl who were most likely shooting a hip hop video at midnight. As for reservations... if you book through a 3rd party site, confirm the reservation with the site before getting to hotel... while there, there were at least 4 ppl who had issues with reservations, despite having it confirmed... the hotel had no record of mine or theirs confirmation until the 3rd party site confirmed it with them...I was on hold for close to an hour before they actually called the hotel back.Breakfast was ok...bare options... waffles toast eggs sausage juices cereal oatmeal
Jonathan Belle: Glad to unwind.Room was clean. Shower water was hot and stayed hot consistently. Breakfast in the morning was great. Right down the street from a bar and liquor store and across the street from a supermarket. Parking lot was big and I felt that my car was safe.I like this hotel.
William Mosley: Does not accept Walmart's Money Card. :),,,Service: 1/5 …More
Natalia Urrego: Las instalaciones ordenadas y limpias. Nada mal.
M. Wallis: This is NOT an airport hotel as advertised nor is it easy walking distance to the T subway. "Courtesy" Shuttle costs $10 per person to the airport, with 4 people Uber is better for our early flight. Beds are small, but the room was clean. Would have avoided this hotel if I had known (Hotwire fail.)Rooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Tonya Thompson: Little parking but there was parking I must admit. Love these choice hotels I think they are my favorite.Rooms: Are up to date they have the plugs for your phones and technology on the lamps 2 each love this about their rooms and always clean and thick enough comforter and bedding to keep you warm at night!

Cambria Hotel Boston, Downtown-South Boston: what do users think?
URVIP Transportation: Great reception! URVIP and the chauffeur were allowed to stay there and wait for the customer. Hire a chauffeur with URVIP and arrive at Cambria Hotel in style.
Steven Lawrence: The valet was atrociously slow, but I was able to book parking nearby on spothero for half the price. Why wait 20-30 minutes for a car when you can walk a block away and self park?
yara barrak: Great stay !
Hui “CatCat” Huang: Rooms: Neatnand clean.Safety: Very convenient transportation, you can just take the red line from South Station, get off Broadway, the location is around the corner.
Conor McGinn: This hotel was in a nice location close to many restaurants and bars. Clean rooms and friendly staff but !!!!AVOID THE VALET AT ALL COSTS (LOST MY KEY)!!!!! Unfortunately there was no other parking option except valet service at the hotel so we dropped our car off on Friday after arriving. When leaving for an appointment on Saturday morning, we followed the normal procedure, called 15 mins ahead and checked out of our room. After about 30 mins and still no car I informed the staff that I had to leave and needed to call an Uber. Once at m6 appointment I get a call from the parking manager explaining how they had LOST MY CAR KEY and eventually said than an employee had taken it home by accident. This meant that some random person had access to my car for 24 hours while parked at a location 15 mins away from where I was staying. I told the manager that I needed my key back and I would be back to the hotel in 5 hours. The manager responded and insisted there was no other option except that I use my spare key (which I THANKFULLY gave to my partner before the trip) and that they would mail me my key that they had. I voiced my discontent to which I was met with the manager saying “this kind of thing happens and it’s part of the industry”. I don’t know of any valet that would suggest losing a key for 24 hours “part of the business” but essentially I was not leaving with my key. Fast forward, it has been almost a week and I STILL do not have my key after it was mailed out TUESDAY when it was lost in FRIDAY. I will say that my $55 parking fee was comped and my Uber was reimbursed but there was $0 taken off of my stay despite this MAJOR inconvenience. Personally I would not stay at this property again if I was ever driving a vehicle. If you plan on not coming in a car then you stay should be smooth with clean rooms and kind hotel staff.
Melissa Stern: The worst hotel experience I've ever had. The hotel manager and GM were verbally abusive. Like a couple previous guests stated manager was totally out of line. I communicated with an events person prior to my stay as well as sent an email to the hotel stating that I was going to be using the room for models to get dressed for the parade. I almost booked an events room instead of hotel room but decided having the room for 2 nights would make it less stressful. Boy was I wrong! I was not being deceptive as the GM stated I was fully transparent which I probably shouldn't have been! I have the emails and events persons contact info to prove everything. I can understand miscommunication or things happening and it being a very busy day. I'm a very reasonable person. I cannot understand being screamed at or threatened and having my models screamed at and threatened. When the GM shook me down and threatened to kick me out of hotel he could clearly see these poor young models just getting dressed in warm clothes for the parade. No one was partying or doing anything salacious. It was supposed to be a joyous, happy day, celebrating the city being back. Instead the hotel ruined that for a lot of people. Other hotel guests in elevator were apologizing to me they had never seen anything like it. I would attach the emails but for sake of my privacy, I won't do that publicly.
Waldo Fuentes: Good place to stay while attending the Seafood show. Walking distance. Good restaurants around the area for a quick bite.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Meghan Michaud: My only problem with this hotel was today, the day of the parade, the woman at the front desk with the glasses and green hat, extremely rude to us when we walked in asking if we were staying at the hotel, making us very uncomfortable. Will not be staying there again if she’s there.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Jack Leeber: Incredibly rude staff
Alex C: I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was great. The room was clean and well-maintained. It was spacious and had a great view as well. I liked the location, as it was directly across the street from the Broadway Red Line stop, making it convenient.I do wish the rooftop veranda was open for sightseeing, as opposed to only for the restaurant, but that's a minor gripe.Rooms: Clean. Refrigerator, safe, coffee maker.Walkability: Located across the street from a subway station.Food & drinks: On-site restaurant/rooftop lounge.
Stephanie Janes: I had a great stay at the hotel. It was super clean, and the gym on the second floor is massive! The location can't be beat...it's across the street from the Red Line Broadway stop. The staff was super nice and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Nick Holt: Staff here is pretty poor for the price of this hotel. We needed rollaway bed, they showed up with pack n play. When we said that wouldn’t work for our 4 yr old, they tried to open it and show us how it would. Huh? We needed more coffee pods for the keurig in our room for our 4 night stay. They refused and said we would have to schedule housekeeping to get more, even though they had a box full of them at the front desk. Huh? For the price and location, would expect a smarter, more service oriented staff.
Danielle Wyman: Great hotel, location was awesome. Rates were reasonable, would return.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Michael Minervino Jr: If you’re someone who books on reviews please read this. As someone who lived in Boston for two years I can promise you this place is a great alternative if you don’t want to pay the outrages hotel fees. Upon arrival I was nervous because of the mixed reviews however I have to say that my stay was more than okay. If you are traveling here by car please do yourself a favor and download SpotHero and find yourself a parking spot. I paid $60 for 3 nights in an underground garage in Back Bay and got myself to the hotel via the subway. Don’t blame the hotel for pricey parking when $55/night is probably what you’d pay anywhere for valet nonetheless. Checking in/out at the counter was more than easy, showed her my ID and she gave me the keys to my room and off I went. I stayed on the 13th floor out of 14 and our room was beautiful. Beautiful shower, TV was nice, view was absolutely amazing. The only reason that I’m giving this place 4 stars is because the walls are paper thin and I had read that in someone else’s review. The broadway T-Stop is right across the street and that is mainly the reason why I stayed here because it’s so effective in getting around the city. Our room was clean, had extra towels, and the room service ladies were so nice. Not sure why this place has such mixed reviews, I had a great time and will definitely be back when I am in the area.
Joslyn K. R.R.: Upon first impressions, the location is very cosmopolitan and the lobby certainly showcased it via controlled chaos. From parties waiting to dine at Six West to crowded elevators, and scurrying valet attendants, there really wasn't much time to take in the atmosphere.Unfortunately, checking in was less than favorable and the lack of courtesy was disheartening. My husband confirmed, twice (once via phone call yesterday afternoon and today as he checked in), with the front desk that a key would be ready for me after his check-in due to my work schedule. He ensured that my name was also on the reservation, but alas that was not the case with reception. Instead, upon my arrival and despite presenting my ID with the same last name as my husband, I was met with discerning eyes and was told to call my husband because my name was not on the reservation. Needless to say, after working a 10 hour shift and commuting from Newport, RI, being told that those specific "arrangements" weren't made and that she just "wanted to make sure" that I was indeed my husband's wife was cloying unsuitable.I will update further after our stay, but much to my dismay these first impressions have left a potent sourness in my mouth.UPDATE: As we concluded our stay, we found that the room itself was delightful with only a few minor inconveniences. To keep it brief: the shower takes about 10 minutes to heat up, the thermostat will come to a mind of its own and either shut off or crank the room up to 76°F, and some of the TV channels were perpetually pixelated with distorted sound.Since interaction with reception was minimal and we decided to scout street parking to avoid the valet fees, we have no additional experiences to report.Ultimately, despite the convenient location, we would not stay here again due to the lack of tentativeness and competency of the front desk staff. First impressions are of utmost importance and much to my dismay, they remained aloof and disengaged; not really skills you seek in hospitality.
Noah Perkins: The hotel is beautiful, however the valet is really expensive especially for a per night basis. Employee name on my receipt is jdesou was great however there is definitely a communication issue with the front desk team. I had told the night shift person I wanted a late check out but that didn’t get communicated. So I had a very alarming call almost an hour after checkout that I’m about to be charged for a late check out. My main issue is nobody called to ask AT checkout time if to confirm if I’m checking out late or not before making threats with fees.

Amy Lopes: Went on a job interview and a maintenance guy was at the desk and said the lady that was supposed to interview left early for vacation. He said they must have been busy. The back up man interviewer had gone home earlier for the day.
Jordan Lawing: Some of the worst customer service at a hotel and rude across the board. When I went to check in no one was at the desk or on the lobby. I waited a few minutes for someone to show up but I had to call out behind the desk to get anyone to check me in.Upon checkin my card declined, so I asked the staff member if she could take payment over the phone. My company card has not been working this trip and I’ve had to ask the other two hotels if they could take payment over the phone and they were happy to oblige. The staff member told me she could and when I pressed her she said she would need a pre-authorization form to take it.She then said she would take off the deposit for the room and said “hopefully you don’t break anything”. I ended up paying out of pocket and heading to my room. The room itself was decent, with a warm shower with good shower pressure, and a soft bed with ok pillows. At breakfast the only hot food available were eggs. I asked the staff for more but she less than excited to have to put out more food, understandable close to the end of breakfast. However there was at least 6 other guest in the dining area so I assume they might have wanted some other option on protein. In conclusion, the staff here should be avoided due to their attitude and treatment of customers. And from reading some other reviews it seems I’m not the only one.
Mike Doughty: Great place .... Friendly Staff
A K: It was a nice stay with family
Kevin Dakin: Hotel Accmodations were Decent. Breakfast Was Decent - Late Night Check In was kinda - ehhhh- room key didnt work had to go back to front desk- also they never sent me receipt AND didnt link my rewards account to my stay. I would stay again but i expect more.
Chris Chamberlin: Best chain hotel in Boston area for the $$$ for sure. Close to restaurants and easy access to Logan and downtown. I have been staying here 4-8 nts a year for past 17 years.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
karthiyayini Sivalingam: I get a chance to stay in the hotel room for couple of days. Totally 5 floors. The room was quite, neat and clean. If we ask for more bath supplies they provided. They have lift facility. Ample car parking at telhe backside of the hotel for free. Free breakfast and wifi and in the room have mini fridge and microwave and television too. It is a nice experience. The neighborhood has many shops and gas stations too.Food & drinks: Indian food are available within 10 miles

Tim Rothfuss: Really great for a "budget" hotel. Nice amenities (including safe, roomy fridge and microwave) and a comfortable, quiet sleep. Right near 93 as well. A bit of construction made getting there a little challenging, but nothing too bad.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Viacheslav Zhidkin: Хороший недорогой отель. Есть всё необходимое что бы отдохнуть. Завтрак 👍
Kim Novak: I should have known my stay would have been bad from the start, but I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. I was in MA to visit my sister and her new born baby. I booked a night at this hotel through a service at work that offers discounts. Upon my arrival, the hotel claimed they never got my reservations, that I would have to contact the third party and get a reimbursement and pay the hotel separately. So, I made a new reservation with the hotel, and contacted the third party. Eventually the third party called me back and said that the hotel has finally found my reservation, I will have to go to the front desk in the morning and sign paper work (this was about 10:30 at night). I tried to call the front desk to inform them of the news, but unfortunately the phone was not working. Not a big deal, I figured I could sign the paperwork in the morning, there was no rush.I fell asleep and around 11:30 PM I wake up to the night shift staff member, opening my door! He then informs me I need to sign paperwork at the front desk in the morning. I was in complete shock that the hotel staff member would OPEN my door while I was sleeping with their key. He then asked me why I didn’t pick the phone up and I informed him it was not working and I was ASLEEP & he needed to leave my room. He did not come all the way into the room, but this was still disturbing. Needless to say, I will never stay here again, due to this interaction.I called the 1800 number to report this worker, I also called the hotel, and the manager BLAMED me for what happened. He even admitted he saw his worker on camera opening my door. It’s been 3 months, and I still haven’t received a call back from corporate or the hotel manager.
