Merlin Bicking: If you need help with computers, this is the place. Yes, these are computer needs, but they know what they are doing. I have been going to Micro Center stores since dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Steven Kleiman: The representative who created my work order was not transparent. I asked only to have my battery replaced, and expected to have to pay the cost of the battery plus a service charge of $50, as was advertised on the Micro Center web page at the time (it has since been updated). The representative said that my computer would be tested, but didn't say that there would be an additional charge of $40 for this service, nor did he give me a chance to decline this service, which I did NOT want. When I went to pick up my computer, I found out about this additional charge. So I asked to speak to a manager, and was told he was not there on that day. A manager should always be available during regular business hours. Thus my experience was rather poor, and I will have to warn people to take care when requesting service at the Micro Center.

I got a keyboard there recently, and it was helpful to have an employee that also used an alternative keyboard layout be there to tell me how the keys can't just be moved around because they are angled. Butterism: My experience with this establishment started out a little rough, but was redeemed promptly. When I first contacted the store, I inquired about 4:30-5:00PM drop off time for my computer on a Friday, to which I was told no problem. Unfortunately, when I arrived he was not in the store despite the agreement. I was upset as I work from home, and needed my laptop repaired promptly and to quality. While I set about searching for another Repair Shop, I was contacted by Sam the following week. To my pleasant surprise, he had order the frame needed for my laptop and called me in to fix it. I did not believe I would be contacted again. Let alone him ordering the frame when I haven't even paid for any services. While I still had my reservations, I was still in need of having my laptop repaired, and once again took the trip up to the store. I was professionally greeted while Sam assessed my laptop and said that I could pick it up the following Monday. My laptop was in beautiful condition and Sam did a fantastic job. As I have an HP Envy x360, I took a few days to assess the quality- alternating between tablet mode and folding the screen back at several angles. No issues to be found. Though my first trip left a sour taste in my mouth, Sam has more than redeemed himself and the store. I will once again praise the quality and agree with other reviews that the price was fair. I raise my rating from 2 Stars to 5, I will gladly return for any future issues I may have.

Paulo H. Bignelli Nunes: Good experience at first, I brought my MSI GS-75 due to the GPU fans running really loudly, so I left it there for week. The fans were replaced, I opened up the computer and the sound was gone - everything was in order apparently. However, as I got home and used the laptop normally, it was heating up very quickly, and the no wind was coming off from the GPU fans. The fans had been replaced, though they didn't work at all. I went back and left it for another week so another replacement could be installed. Same issue. I paid 144 dollars and spent over a month for a delayed service and more problems as my original fan was lost in the repair shop - I couldn't get a refund nor any further support.

Hriday Sabir: Sam saved my MacBook in the middle of finals week. I was having display issues, and I almost submitted my fate to a $400 display replacement at the Apple Store before I decided to give this place a try. Sam replaced my LCD cable for just $60 and that too in 1 hour on the same day.Definitely worth 5 stars!

Sam helped me find the right replacement and was able to order and repair it within the week, all for the price of ~$200 (which was a great deal considering the laptop screen on its own cost ~$100). Nolan Wu: Sam knows what he's doing! Went to Back Bay Computers after the Apple store told me I needed to buy a whole new display for my macbook. Sam told me exactly what the issue was (part of the "flexgate" scandal) and explained that he's seen this many times in the past. Apple was not being truthful to me and fortunately Sam was there to help me uncover the real problem with my Mac. Although I did not end up getting my mac fixed from him, he was kind and honest and willing to help me identify the issue with my macbook
Audrey Loyack: Best experience. Spilled hot coffee all over my computer and it immediately shut down. Two Apple stores told me there was nothing I could do unless I purchased a new computer or sent it for repair (over 1k repair and still a chance I could lose everything). Brought my computer to Sam and picked it up one day later with all of its memory still there!! Recommending Back Bay Computer to everyone!

Sulaka Warsame: My experience there was great at first. It seemed like a decent price and I trusted that he was familiar with different types of laptops and computers. I brought my MSI GS65 stealth thin to have the right fan replaced because of excessive noise while in use. Took about a week to receive my laptop back (part took about that long to get in) and he opened my laptop to the lock screen to show me the sound was gone. When I had went home to use my laptop it made no sound until I actually started running programs and playing games. There is still a sound, but it isn't nearly as loud as before. Still concerned and may have it checked again soon somewhere else. Another thing is that I received a completely different charger than I had brought in with my laptop when I went to pick it up. I didn't notice until I plugged it in and it took a very long time to charge my laptop. This isn't the original charger that came with my laptop.
Mary Bichner: Love this place! This is now my third time bringing an item to Back Bay Computer for repair, and each time I have, I have had an excellent experience. Sam is very knowledgable and is able to determine both the problem and its solution extremely quickly. Additionally, all of the prices for the repairs I have had done have been very affordable/reasonable, especially in light of Back Bay Computer's high-quality service and quick turnaround times. Highly recommended!

Jerome Kiley: The printing machines weren't functioning with my USB drive, but the staff were attentive and timely, and brought me to Jason in the back. He printed out my docs just as I wanted them, impressively quickly, and at a discounted rate. A great experience.
Crystal Nguyen: Leyni Soto is one of the best people I've met when it comes to customer service. She went above and beyond to alleviate any concerns we had with printing our invitation suite with Staples, especially since we are DIYing a rose gold foiling on them. Getting high quality prints on high quality paper that worked with our foiling DIY was really stressful. Leyni sent me home with cardstock samples to make sure that our choice of paper was going to work with this project. After ordering, she then hand tested each of 150 QR codes printed on our Details card as part of her quality check to make sure that they printed perfectly for our guests to access our website seamlessly. She is truly a fairy godmother in disguise as a Staples employee. I cannot recommend getting your prints done here enough. Everyone else I talked to was incredibly nice as well, I just worked most with Leyni and she is phenomenal.

Tommy Khuu: Was at the Staple store and the employee were accommodating with trying to help me resolve their issue as their machine was not working properly. Manager told me to call customer service on purchasing my product as they weren’t able to check me out. So I decided to stay to get the issue resolved. As a result, instead of getting help I wasted my time on the phone as the manager was more worried about closing his store knowing I’ve been on the phone for 20+ minutes trying to check out due to his inability of cashing me out.

Quartz: Brought my computer in to get repaired after it got stuck in a boot loop after a routine windows update. I didn't want to repair it myself because I figured a repair place would do it better than I could, how wrong I was.I went in to pick it up and he acted like everything went great. So I paid the $200, happily brought it home and turned it on. To my horror my desktop was cleared and when I went into my files 500GB of my data GONE. This guy system restored my 1TB drive without backing up it up. Without even CONFIRMING with me first.Literally anyone could've done that themselves, even my GRANDMOTHER could've done that.I'm so devastated and still trying to fix this mess almost 2 months later. Do not go here.

Abdul and his team always explain what the issues are/may be and are honest about what it may take to complete the project. I've called with problems and they've been willing and able to tell me whether it's something they can address or not.Recently, we broke a screen on a Macbook and I was on the verge of having to replace it. They asked me to leave my MacBook for an entire day for a job that literally takes 10mins!!!After two weeks two of them got detached. I went back to the shop and Raymond tried to help me and asked me to leave my MacBook at the shop for another day, again. He fixed the problem but after one week they have been detached again!!!At this point I decided to give up with this shop and I ended up to do the whole job at home by myself!With only $7, on Amazon I purchased better items for replacement of the feet and I am super happy of the result! Just before the end of the warranty period ended, a complex part of the computer started mal-functioning, no fault of theirs. They spent many hours fixing it, thereby standing by their warranty even though it ate up a lot of their time. I really respected and appreciated that. I would readily buy from them again.
