Doña Habana Restaurant: what do users think?
Armando Almeida: Superou as espectativas, ambiente descontraído, característico, receptivo e comida muito boa.
El Trapo: I loved the ambiance, the food was also great. I get like the food was high end but reasonably priced. It had a fun atmosphere, it’s the type of place to bring your friends and celebrate a special occasionFood: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Megan Zalenas: I was in Boston staying at the attached Hampton Inn hotel for a medical trip. Upon check-in, we noticed the attached Cuban restaurant- Doña Habana. I knew I had to give it a try.The interior of the restaurant is a bit tight and cramped. My opinion is if you can get a seat on the patio, do it. Their patio is clean and very open. You don’t feel cramped or “packed in”.We visited while COVID was still an issue, so menus were accessed via a QR code on my phone. They have an amazing & exotic drinks menu for individuals AND groups. My mom went with a single cocktail but the selections are ENDLESS.For groups, they have very cool and creative offerings. I saw multiple groups ordering and sharing a “light up” fish-bowl sized cocktail. Endless cocktail options. Unique options you don’t see elsewhere. As for the food, the most common item (in my view) was the Fried Red Snapper. I saw multiple tables inside and out order it. I plan to give it a try myself on my next trip out.Food wise, we ordered the 1/4 Pollo Asado. It was by far, the juiciest chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The meat was so juicy it melted in your mouth. The unique Cuban seasoning and marinade was also incredible. I’d highly recommend it.If you’re looking for a lighter choice, their Caldo De Pollo soup is incredible. Loaded with chicken and an incredibly flavorful broth. And for $8, you get a HUGE serving.I’ve also tried the Mini-Cuban Sandwiches. If I had to complain about an item, this would be it. In my view it was VERY dry and tough. The meat was just very dried out. No amount of sauce made it palatable.Aside from the disappointing Mini-Cuban Sandwiches, I’d highly suggest this place. The menu has something for everyone. The cocktail menu will blow you away. You’ll see many folks celebrating birthdays here too. You’ll see the sparklers and hear the special song AT LEAST once during your dining experience.I’d highly suggest Doña Habana to folks in the area. If you’re staying at the hotel, be sure to check it out. It’s attached, you don’t even have to walk outside!Parking: Paid Garage Shared with Hampton Hotel. Inquire about a discount to park or validation if dining in!Wheelchair accessibility: Too Tight to Maneuver Indoors. Patio is more accessible.
Ty H.: Food quality was good, but small portions, and a little expensive. Also, 18% gratuity was automatically included (for only 2 people) which they didn’t tell me, and I ended up leaving 20% on top of that..
Audi Villegas: Very Expensive but worth every penny. Been there twice. Will go back again.Parking: It's a rough location. The surroundings. But once you are Inside your in another world of quietness and peace.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of access for it.
P H: Delicious food & gracious, caring staff! We ate there 3 nights in a row a few months ago while in Boston for a medical issue. We’d not previously “dined inside” due to Covid concerns; the Hostess“ Alba” was so very kind to find a table each night a bit removed from the crowd. Both the servers and food were excellent…. we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to that area!
Sophia Paul: As we know little to none of the original Amerindian culture had survived to today. Doña Habana embraces and honors the Cuban culture. The mystical character of the Cuban Santeria is the first picture you will see when entering the restaurant and she is enjoying a Cuban cigar. The cuisine is absolutely delicious and flavorful. We will definitely come back.
A T: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sandra Ortiz: El lugar limpio, el personal muy amable, la comida malísima, demasiado caro no lo recomiendo!!
Jacques M. Moise: Delicious food and great service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
rubyduzstuff: Cool looking place . Food is ehh. Service probably the worst I've experienced at that price and that leads me to the price ... It's faux fancy and they think that justifies the price... It doesn't.Gratuity is included so they literally have no incentive to treat you well. There's plenty of Caribbean restaurants out there that won't treat you well but never found one that made you pay a premium for it.If you walk in look around.. take in the Cuban aesthetic.. and walk out... you guarantee yourself a positive experience...
Rhonda Deniston: Very fun place to eat and enjoy some lively music. Loved the food. I have never had Cuban food before but I really enjoyed our meal.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
A B: Went here Wednesday night this week. I booed a table just in case, but it wasn’t busy, so in retrospect, wasn’t needed. Everything we ordered, from drinks, to food, was freshly done, arrived in a reasonable time, and was terrific. The bartender who helped us made good suggestions, and nothing disappointed. We will absolutely come back.
Catherine O'Mara: There was a mouse in the restaurant and the wait staff were extremely rude about it. Made no effort to compensate for it or get the mouse out of the restaurant. Horrible experience.
Hira Yousuf: The place values their customer. They treat you like family. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone. You will not regret it.
Yajaira Roman: Trash food, trash service! And forget about getting a refill.
Rosa Martinez: El peor servicio,la peor comida todo mala. Nuca más 👎
Humphrey Vives: While visiting Boston, MA, we stumbled across this Cuban restaurant next to our hotel and we both concluded that this place deserved a humbling 5 star review. Upon our entrance, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and led to our seating, the waitress was kind and professional, and the food was quite delicious. Additionally, the atmosphere was vey ambient and cozy. I highly recommend others to come visit this lovely Spanish establishment.
Hassan Brutus: Food was excellent! I had the red snapper and my girlfriend had the lobster and it was absolutely amazing! And the drinks are even better

The Old Havana Cuban Restaurant: what do users think?
Danny H: I’m in Boston for work. I stopped by for lunch with a co-worker. My co-worker had the shredded beef and I had the skirt steak (Churrasco) with the chimi sauce and we had empanadas for apps. The food was amazing. Maybe one of the best skirt steaks I’ve had in a very long time. Amazing service as well. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m in Boston!
Josue Saldana: This is my favorite restaurant. Great people and the best Cuban coffee around.
michel collazo: Buen servicio, comida de buena calidad, ambiente acojedor.Lo recomiendo.
Santiago Carbajal: Great ropa vieja, tostones, and rice.
Natalia Romero: as a cuban american from nyc i have found my place to reconnect to the food i grew up eating. if you want authentic well priced cuban food look no further!
John McCarthy: A hidden gem in Jamaica Plain!
Joel C: Best Cuban I’ve ever had! Very cheap for what you get and the staff are Fantastic
Millie deOlio: I went with a friend and we both enjoyed our meals of ropa vieja and chicharrones de pollo. The chicharrones were nice and crispy without being greasy, and the ropa vieja was flavorful all the way through. The rice and beans tasted just like my grandmother's and the tostones hit the spot!
Siddharth Thakur: Guava cheese empanadas were delicious
Dee Shakeena: I was supposed to receive a grilled chicken stuffed with shrimp and mine was breaded and fried.Strawberry lemonade was bomb tho.
Esperanza Baker Zapata: Very good food ,,
Joseph Madison: Great food, service, and atmosphere. Prices were reasonable.
Christopher Pardo: This is the most authentic Cuban food you can have in the United States, outside of Miami. The Cuban food itself is better quality than anything you could even find in New York, cooked from scratch while you wait, and for the appropriate (inexpensive) price. The staff is so friendly, the food is great, the restaurant is clean and cute, and the outdoor space is perfect. Old Havana is a 10/10 experience, and if you can tell the difference, you’ll immediately know this is the real deal.
Victor: Great customer service and good food I recommend 100%
Aditya Rao: Great Cuban tapas and desserts! They can do anything with guava.
Jose Gonzalez: The Churrasco. Was Incredible!
Michael Cirillo: Cuban sandwich is amazing. Went for the first time tonight and I will definitely be making this a regular spot to grab food when I'm in the city. Staff was amazing and prices are more than fair 👏
mary g _4: A 12 to 15 table restaurant. Old Havanna's food was good. Our waitress was very pleasant as she helped us choose a few authentic dished catering to our allergies & food restrictions. We probably will order just take out next time, and yes, we would return for a bite to eat here.
Jasmine T: The seafood soup is wonderful. Well seasoned and monstrous portions. Theres at least 3-4 servings in there with a bunch of different seafood in there. I've also had the fish sandwich and plantains which were equally as good.
Robert Johnson: Good Cuban food. For real 🇨🇺. Friendly people ✌🏼

Chris Reilly: Everything we had was delicious, but the one dish I would NOT miss is the cauliflower! Wow!Recommended dishes Yuca Frita, Ropa Vieja, Cazuela De Coliflor Asada, Crab Tacos …More
Henry Dera: Food was excellent. I recommend the ceviche and also the empanadas. The churros were also really great. We were able to walk in off the street on a Thursday without a reservation and get a table for two with no wait. The service was good however I gave a four because for our final order we asked for two drinks, empanadas and also two deserts. The server didn't ask if we wanted it in any specific order. The server delivered the desert first, followed by the empanadas about five minutes later and the drinks 5 minutes after that. We would have appreciated getting the desert last but I also realize we should have asked.Parking: Plenty of free permit parking around. Some limited street paid parking meters.
Teresa Vasquez: Recommended dishes Yuca Frita, Ropa ViejaMore
Jillian Burgess: That guac with plantain chips was Overall good was really good and flavor but service was so so slow.
Bijan S: Despite having a reservation at this restaurant, we were made to wait for 40 minutes. Finally, we were seated at a table behind the stairs that had a bad odor like feet. The chairs were dirty and even messed up my pants. I requested them to clean the chairs, but they did not show any concern. This was not the first time we experienced such poor service at this restaurant. During our previous visit, we faced a similar issue where we had to repeatedly ask for our drinks which arrived long after we finished our food.

Carlos Hernandez: Cuban here, I always eat Cuban food when I travel to try new places. The food here was terrible. They're afraid to use sazon, zero flavor. A little garlic goes a long way. Marinade your meat please, it really does make a difference. Left almost most of it and I always clear my plate. Este lugar esta desmejorado. Servers didn't want to be there. Pretty dirty too. Locals seem to like it though. 🤷🏻‍♂️
VeeSully: I was rushed to the emergency room immediately after eating here! The green mussel served with the ceviche May have not been fresh or was contaminated. Everything else was great, the snapper, the rice and plantain. I just got extremely sick. I was the only one who had the mussel so everyone else at my table was fine and enjoyed the food. The smoothies are good too.

I thought by dining in I would be persuaded to finally try something else, but it didn't work - I couldn't be bothered by it.So here we are, with the best paella dish with all its glory. Thankfully it comes with a side salad and swet plantains too! $26.99 before tax and tip.FYI: When entering from the front door there is a weird step up to enter the building. It might not be as accessible for those who use a wheelchair.Parking: Street parking is rare. There is no parking garage either.

Pete Garcia: This place is FANTASTIC. FOOD is AWESOME and the staff is friendly! ENJOY!
kuchifrito: Not bad food. $21.35 for my plate was kind of pricey but was pretty good. I didn’t like my waiter serving food with her hair all puffy and sticking out which could easily cause her hair to fall on people’s food. She was very kind and pleasant but I didn’t think that was sanitary. Their Cuban sandwich is very good and I highly recommend it. Would I return, for a Cuban sandwich? Heck yeah!

Laura Bonilla: The place is beautiful and the server was really good, the food on the other side is not good. Out of the mix appetizers we got only one was ok. The arepas with crab meat were not cooked, the guacamole had no salt or lime.

Chelsea P: Tl:dr - lively ambience, flavorful food albeit overpriced, terrible service by dismissive and rude hostess staff (lovely servers and bussers)The hostesses the night of April 21st were very unprofessional and gaslit me about cancelling my reservation. We had a 6:30 reservation, got there at 6pm and gave them my name. They said our table wasn’t ready - all good. 6:40 rolls and multiple parties have gotten tables before us from the bar, I ask them about the status of our table, and the hostesses said I cancelled our table, their system indicates we called them at 3pm that day. I asked them how that makes sense when 1) they told us we had a table 2) I never called them 3) when I have called various times days before no one picks up the phone at any given time nor gives a call back. I showed them a text I received the day before confirming my rez. I asked if I made a cancellation then I should have received a email or text, they said yes yet somehow I had neither. One girl in particular wouldn’t look me in the eye and just said there’s nothing she can do, very dismissive and haughty. I’ve never in my life asked to speak to a manager but their behavior was just rude. There was no accountability or professionalism. I’ve worked in the industry for years prior and never in my life would I ever act with such dismissive behavior. We finally got a table, no apology from the manager or the hostesses, definitely ruined my birthday night. Thanks, Mariel.
Thomas Siepka: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Sara S: Very rude hostess. Poor service . Its not worth it to spend money
Ida Li: Amazing location for an afterwork dinner or a weekend date night! The vibes are comfortable. You can choose to go for drinks at the bar, which are first come first serve, or you can choose to be seated. It can be a bit loud at night especially after 9.Food was amazing. They're all shareable sizes and smaller portions to go with the drinks.
Daria Gorbenko: Veeery beautiful place. Food and cocktails were great. A little not enough service (plain and basic) to be a 5 star
Jennifer Sereda: Beautiful restaurant, ambiance was perfection. Randy took care of us, a large group, with ease. He delivered the best service we ever had. Ever. Food was amazing. Top dishes- avocado con mojo, tuna con crudo, arepas, empanadas and the pizza with mushrooms and arugula, all AMAZING! We all shared the mango mahi, steak papas and lechon Asado. If in Boston- this is a must visit.
Connor Olczak: Incredible experience for a group of 5 - every dish was great! The vibe is great and the food is even better! Also - Randy took care of us like no other. must try!
Adam Hine: From them food, service, to the atmosphere, everything was amazing!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Pretty pretty: Love this place. It’s one of the best place around Boston!
Marco Ugolotti: Update 4/22: great cocktails and vibe as usual …. Better food this time… not the place to have the best food in Boston but I believe it deserves 4 stars for the overall experience and great service.Great place for drink and music . Fantastic vibe. Cocktails are well done. But food is really below avg for the price you pay. This is my second time after long time (caused by pandemic) and the food the first time was definitely better and bigger quantity. Don’t take the pizza …. It is ridiculously small. All the small plates are very small and the “big plates” are not that big. $80 for share steak full of giant potatoes and a very small steak ( not very good). Bottom line …. Go for drinks and vibe… but eat somewhere else.
James Toubia: The restaurant is beautiful with great service and a fun vibe. Really enjoyed my nightFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Alejandro López: Terrible service, employees at the door where really rood and not worth paying for what it really is. I would definitely won’t go back. 0 stars.Parking: There’s only parking for expensive cars.
Grace Li: I think everyone is very disappointed by the food, very small portion, overpriced and Ok taste. You will be surprised by the pizza size, definitely don’t come to this place if you are hungry, and be prepared to spend at least over $100 per person if you want to feel full after this meal. The service is rude, rushing ppl to leave constantly.Overall I believed 99% of ppl will decide to never come to this place again.
James Brooks: Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Veronika: The place is gorgeous. I love their chandeliers, walls and all the little details of Havana style era.
