Jennifer Littman: My husband and I absolutely love, love the farmhouse table that Lighthouse Woodworks built for us out of white oak planks that were salvaged from a Kentucky barn. We visited their expansive woodworking shop in Boston and were impressed not only with the shop, but the time that Lucas spent with us, sharing what he could do and making sure that he met our needs. He and Dan sent us pictures along the way and had the table delivered to us in a timely manner( just over 30 days). This was an amazing feat considering we live on Nantucket Island. We had researched tables in other big name, high end stores. The price and quality that Lighthouse gave us out did everyone else. It will outlast us, our children, and our grandchildren. Monica Moulton: I ordered a custom table and am happy with it. It took about 2.5 months, but they set the expectations with me, so I knew this was their timeframe. Everyone at the shop was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They took their time explaining everything about the different types of wood they work with and how it would/could work with what we wanted. They also delivered it and set it up at home for us.If I had to make one criticism is that, the table isn't finished at the bottom, just the top. Now, we don't use the bottom of the table obviously, so unless someone can prove or explain why that's a bad thing, we're still very happy with the table. It's beautiful.I will be ordering more products from Lighthouse Woodworks in the future.

Candy Albano: I live in Miami.. I purchased a Lafer recliner on Amazon that came from Il Decor. I did not know that the the chair would come unassembled. My husband was able to get the base on properly but could not get the arms on. I called the store desperate asking if they knew anyone in Miami that could assemble the chair? Michael was very helpful, he took all my information and called me back within minutes with the name of a moving company that he uses here who could help me. I called, the ABA moving company spoke with Boris the man Michael said would help me and in less then an hour two guys came, assembled the chair, and even helped me move the temporary chair back to the room it belongs in. They wouldn't charge me, although I would have been happy to pay! Michael called me later to follow up and it turns out he paid them to assemble the chair....now that is what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Michael for saving the day and possibly my marriage! On a side note, I am an interior designer here in Miami and Boston is lucky to have such a fabulous store with such incredible service, and I say that from a professional perspective!
Ann LoDolce: I virtually furnished my condo with the beautiful furniture I bought at Il Decor. The staff went 110% on every request each time I made a purchase. I had a table that broke because it was defective, and they fixed it without question. But aside from that, my place is now very special because of the selections with their advice.

Arick Milavsky: My experience at IL DECOR was exceptionally good and I am writing this review to highly recommend this store, its Manager and also the staff working with him. So 5! Two years ago, we bought some furniture for our new home and were helped in making the right choices by a very young Interior Designer: with great clarity and without ever being pushy, she drew a project and dedicated a lot of time, just to make sure we were happy with it. Also my wife was really impressed because we never happened to come across someone so highly skilled, extremely calm, polite and patient, in other furniture shops. Time went by and we then returned there for buying some accessories. Just few days ago, I was again in the shop, because we're now looking to buy a reclining chair for the living room and they do have some nice ones. Again, the experience was good, and I found a nice leather recliner. We never had problems with the home deliveries and also Customer Service reflected the high standard. For this reason, I just want to take this opportunity to thank, also on behalf of my wife, the IL DECOR staff for all what they did for us. It's been a pretty unique experience and we won't forget them. Also, we don't plan on going anywhere else to buy Italian furniture!

No need to hire an interior designer... The result of working with Michael has left me beyond fulfilled. He guided me through the entire experience, made sure to stick to my budget and was available to me at all times. I am overwhelmed by the turn out and by the level of personal interest Michael has displayed. justin hamel: After about a month and a half of browsing contemporary furniture to fill my living room, IL Décor a store in downtown Boston finally met my needs. I decided on a Calligaris Tower table and some leather Etoile chairs or however you pronounce them. The ordering process was rather quick. Honestly I was expecting 2 months but it ended up being 3 weeks which was surprising. The delivery guys came today around 11 this morning, I live in Back Bay so it was a nightmare for them. They ended up getting a parking ticket while they unloaded and set up my furniture. For contemporary furniture, it was evenly priced. The delivery was cheaper than I expected. I'm glad I waited a few months for the order, this setup looks awesome.
Frank Poltack: I was out shopping for bartsools this past Saturday and happened to stop into IL DECOR after a couple of other stores and found it quite a surprise. They cary Calligaris which I assume is thier main brand and a few other Italian brands. I was greeted nicely by Fa salesperson, who pointed me in the direction of a couple barstools--and after listening to what I wanted--he pulled up the exact stool out of a catalog. One benifit is that they were quick ship--and arrive in 2-3 weeks instead of the usual four months! Iwas sold! Bought four on the spot. My search was finally over-and I am now axiously awaiting his call to come and get them!The showroom is nicely filled with Italian furniture, not alll of which is quick ship--but from the looks of everything, is worth the wait!The service I recieved here was friendly, helpful the prices they offer are not what you expect for imported European furniture After my experience in a higher priced store (basically ignored), I was glad to have happened upon IL DECOR. I will be returning in the spring for my new bed.Check them out if you are in need of modern furniture!

Donna Ryan: Shopped at Boston store and enjoyed. Cool styles and made in USA were appealing. Worked with "designer" who was sweet but really no help (and she was gone before our order arrived.) Waited many months for products and 2/6 arrived with poor factory finishes. So disappointing! Delivery was an absolute nightmare - first delivery was 10 p.m. on a rainy Sunday evening (after cancel on short notice Friday afternoon and no communication on Sat). Crew unprepared, scratched my closet and ceiling, filthy handprints on walls. Tried to move everything fully assembled with drawers and legs and struggled mightily. Second delivery was 7:30 a.m. on a Sunday, and crew confused about pick up items. They ultimately got the job done, but these deliveries were the most stressful I've ever had! I would never shop with them again and can't recommend them.

However, this company has a major quality control problem. 3 of 4 items in my furniture order were returned. Wooden tops had gashes in them. On a $1000 desk, the powder coat was bubbled/poorly applied. This should not happen.Yes, you can return for free, but this wastes time. Room and board should improve their quality so we don’t need to return.Despite excellent customer service, I would not shop here again.

Furniture is beautiful and high quality. Finishes are exact and fine to the touch. Only downside? I want more!

You pay a higher price but you get what you pay for and that's something that will last a lifetime. You cannot compare Ikea and room and board. The staff is also amazing. Super helpful and never pushy. Sometimes I just like to come in and hang out and they are just happy to see me enjoying myself! My girlfriend and I just bought a couch and plan to buy more because of how amazing they've been. 10/10 would recommend over West elm or other comparable companies.

Janis Ian: We found Lekker by accident, searching for a new kitchen table and chairs. Our needs were pretty specific, especially when it came to size and color. We found a table we loved, and four chairs. Having just had a truly miserable experience ordering on line from a restaurant delivery aggregator, we were quite nervous about spending so much money with a place we didn't know. Looking at their online reviews reassured us and we spoke with them by phone as well; knowing they had a brick and mortar store was even more reassuring.The table is almost exactly what we expected; it's actually better made than the description would have had us believe. The chairs are hugely more beautiful than the photos, too. Dimensions were accurate, and the people who delivered with white glove service were polite, thorough, and on time.We did have confusion with the actual delivery company, over the course of several weeks and numerous calls and emails - but within an hour of notifying Lekker, they'd responded to us, and they continued to over-see everything until we were finished. And much to our surprise, they also refunded a portion of the delivery cost for our time and trouble!Based on my personal experience, I would recommend them without hesitation as of this date. Great customer service, no false advertising, on time delivery and better (the chairs were supposed to take 6-8 weeks and were here in half that time and less.) Very impressive.

We were immediately greeted and helped with a smile.Although they don't have beds in the showroom, Richard S. (the designer we worded with) went above and beyond to help us find what were were looking for online. For example, we wanted a leg for the bed that isn't typically offered with the product we were looking at. He could have just said "no, sorry" but he reached out to his team to find out if we could make that happen after we left. We got a respond within a few days that we could!Highly recommend Interior Define! Great quality for a reasonable price and awesome customer service!
cameron lloyd: I entered the store on Newbury street with my daughter and was politely greeted by Richard. I explained what I was looking for and he promptly showed me what I was interested in. After looking at two different options he recommended I look at one other that could be just what I’m looking for and indeed it was. It was difficult to choose a material but with all the different swatches hanging on the wall, it was easier to get a real feel of what we liked the best. I was very pleased with the service and I am looking forward to the final product.

I spent hours and hours searing for a couch online and found literally exactly want I wanted from ID because it’s all totally customizable, I have an awkward living room layout and have two big dogs. I went in to the store to test out silhouettes after getting swatches. We’ve now had the sofa for a bit and it’s amazing!! Exactly what we were looking for, and it’s so comfy!! I know a lot of people had issues with this company but now that they’re under new ownership my experience has been wonderful.
Carrie Krieger: Impossible to get a hold of.I have been trying to call interior define about an order now for weeks and they are either closed (in the middle of the day on a week day when they are supposed to be open) or it just goes to voicemail. I’ve left messages and no one returns my calls.What is going on?? I understand there is delays in delivery I am ok with that; I just want to know an updated eta.I’m writing this review in hopes someone sees it and can reach out to me. This is pretty ridiculous. It’s worse than calling a phone/cable company or your bank! I feel helpless.Update : spoke with someone back in November. She assured me April will be when it will be delivered. And they said they will refund a partial payment as an apology. Still have yet to receive that $429 partial refund. When I went to check on the status of shipment, it says unable to fufill and IT WAS CANCELLED?!?! Trying to contact anyone in this company is utterly impossible. We have never been refunded for anything. Someone please help.
Bella Vishnevsky: This is a review of the company as a whole and not the Boston site specifically. Do not buy anything from this company. The original one went bankrupt, and they were purchased by another company early 2023. I have serious doubts this company is better now. I ordered a couch back in May 2022 and was unfortunately part of the group of customers whose orders could not be fulfilled. While this was the mistake of the previous owners, under the new leadership I was strung along for about 2 months until they went radio silent once they declared they couldnt come to an agreement with one of the (I can presume) warehouses to ship my item to the US because it had already been built. I have sent now 2 messages and made 3 phone calls with voicemails over the span of a month without response. I guess I am not a customer in their eyes, so fraud to the tune of $2500 is fine. I will never purchase anything from them again.
Angela Shen-Hsieh: This company has filed for bankruptcy. I found out from an email from the financing company Affirm. We made a purchase in October, which we cancelled in November. But we continued to get financing charges withdrawn from our bank account. I tried to call the store, texted Dan, and got no replies. I then got the bankruptcy notice from Affirm and found out that the cancellation had never been put through by Dan and the Boston store and, as far as they are concerned, I am still on the hook for the financed amount. Yet, Interior Define is not honoring/fulfilling any orders made before their bankruptcy restructuring date. How twisted is that??!!! Now I am getting threatening messages from Affirm saying they will report me to the credit bureaus for not continuing to make payments on an order that was cancelled and that the company has said it is not going to fulfill. And I hear they are still taking new orders. Run, run, RUN in the other direction!!!
Brian Peters: Absolutely under no circumstances should you order from this company in 2023. The company is defunct, yet still taking orders, they WILL attempt to steal your money unless you charge back via a good CC vendor. BEWARE!!!!!
Lindsay Brady: I am still waiting for my refund for a couch I ordered in July. I expected it before thanksgiving, and after hearing no updates from the company for months I inquired into the status and expected deliver date. The first week of December I received notice that it would not be ready until May! I promptly cancelled the order and requested a full refund to which I am still waiting for. This has been the worst consumer experience I have ever had, and I strongly suggest you spend your money elsewhere. I only rated this company with one star because I was forced to in order to post this review.

THEY OFFERED US A PARTIAL REFUND WHICH WE HAVENT SEEN YET AND ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO WE CANCELLED THE ENTIRE ORDER FOR A FULL REFUND. STILL HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING BACK. cory sevigny: Disappointed so far. I ordered a sectional in June 2022 which was supposed to be delivered in November. The last update I received is that the delivery date is pushed back to April 2023. I’ve been offered a 10% discount (which I’ve yet to see) which is great but I’d rather have my couch. I understand there’s issues with supply chain but there seems to be a lack of accountability with the delivery SLA. Hard to believe this company is still taking orders when they can’t seem to service their existing customers.Update: I logged in today to review the status of my order and it appears the company filed for bankruptcy, sold its assets, and is not fulfilling refunds or orders.
J S: Do not buy from this company. We ordered chairs in June 2022 and the delivery date was continuously pushed out, for us to find out this week they will be liquidated and customers who purchase before December 2022 may or may not get their orders - with little confidence that money will be returned. We tried canceling our order multiple times after it continued to get delayed; calls were unanswered, emails never returned. They intentionally cut communication off with customers to avoid cancellations. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else.
Sarah Upton: Buyer beware. I ordered a "Buy now select fabric later" couch on Black Friday 2022. You have 30 days to select a fabric or cancel free of charge. After receiving swatches and reading reviews of issues people have been having with the company, I decided to cancel my order. I had never selected a fabric, so my couch was never put into production / my order was never finalized. What should have been a simple cancellation and refund has now been multiple attempts to contact them -- via email, phone, chat -- and no refund to date. Customer representatives--when I have been able to get in touch with anyone at all--have said that my cancellation is processed (but its still showing on my portal) and that I'm due a full refund, but that "the corporate team must refund me". And then they can't give me any corporate contact to followup with or any timeline other than "they'll contact you". Still no word and no refund. I checked out Reddit and it sounds like I'm not alone here and that many people are struggling to get any responses and refunds from the company. I now have opened an inquiry via my credit card company to make sure I can get my refund.If you're considering buying from them, I strongly encourage you to reconsider and do your research. For what I considered a reputable company when ordering, this whole experience has felt like a huge scam.
Andrea Yacavoni: My husband and I were recommended Interior Define by a friend that had recently purchased a couch for their home. We loved the quality and design and were excited to order one ourselves for the home that we had just moved into! We had a great in-store experience custom designing our perfect couch, which was in April of 2022. We were told to expect the couch by end of Aug or early Sept, but that it was likely we would even get it earlier - great! Fast forward a few months and delays continued to occur. I wasn't all that surprised at first due to the current supply chain issues most companies have been facing, and our customer support contact was always communicative of the delays and thanked us on our patience and kindness in understanding. By July 2022, our couch had arrived to the US waiting for it to be inspected by Customs and could then be delivered, causing a month or so overall delay. That time has now come and gone by far, the CEO has sent emails apologizing for the delays but there have been no answers. Now it is January 2023, we have sent several emails to the support email they have asked us to contact saying we'd get a response 10-14 days - it has been 5 weeks and still no response. We have left several voicemails with no response. If you try to contact their online support chat that says they are available from 9am-8pm CT, they are always offline. At this point, I am so disappointed in the lack of communication we have received that I am not sure we are willing to wait any longer to received the product we were once so excited about. BUT - we can't cancel the order because nobody will contact us back. We are now out thousands of dollars, still no couch, and no answers. I would highly suggest finding your furniture elsewhere.
Caridad Kenchen: The Sales Associates at the Newbury St. location are amazing. They are extremely knowledgeable and overall provide a great customer service experience. However, I placed an order for a customized sectional in May of 2022. The initial estimated delivery timeframe provided was early October of 2022. Once my order was placed and confirmed I was provided an Account Operations Associate (Casey Glynn) who was my contact for updates regarding my order.I received an email from Casey in September informing me the company was experiencing supply chain issues and a promise that future updates regarding my order would be provided. I received a generic email from their CEO in November reiterating their supply chain issues but no specific timeframe for resolution. I emailed Casey looking for an update and received a generic email saying that all emails should be directed to the corporate office.I have sent multiple emails for several weeks now with no response to my inquiries outside of a generic response that says they are experiencing a high volume of inquiries and that they’d be in touch in 10-14 days. I have tried to contact Interior Define by phone, but you cannot reach a live agent and ONLY have the option to leave a voicemail which has also NOT been returned. There Live Chat option on their site appears to have been disabled as well.I have not received an email or phone call back regarding my inquiries as of January 3rd, 2023. It has been extremely frustrating trying to contact/get in touch with Interior Define. They have gone ghost. I can understand they are dealing with supply chain issues; however, the lack of communication is absolutely unacceptable and continues to be an extremely poor customer service experience.
Cheryl Walsh: I ordered and paid for a mirror over 10 weeks ago and only recently received a general message to all customers saying they apologize for the extended delays. Very poor customer service due to a total lack of communication. At this point I would not recommend purchasing from this company.

Only communication I received was a boiler plate auto-response from the CEO saying that they have no idea when my order will be fulfilled due to supply constraints.As far as I'm concerned they stole $5000 from my and my family. Do not trust this company.
matthew tobin: Unfortunately, I can't give zero stars. Oh well. Instead of writing a lot here, I'll simply say "Ditto" to everything that Olivia said - it reads like she's writing for me... exact same story. I was able to get in touch with the Chief Customer Officer, Jill John, on LinkedIn... which was nice at the time, but there hasn't been any follow-up. This company has a Class Action Lawsuit coming it's way is my guess.
