SoulCycle BKBY: what do users think?
Hanna Z: My customer service experience at this Back Bay location was terrible. I had gone in to ask a question about a legging they had (wasn’t going to ride) and it was pouring rain outside. I had my dog with me as I was unaware of the no dogs policy and instead of being told nicely about the policy, I was rudely interrupted multiple times while expressing that I was just there to ask a question. There were four staff members behind the counter and the one guy there kept rudely insisting that no dogs were allowed even when I said I was just gonna ask a quick question. I then asked if someone could just step outside for a second to answer my question instead of me going home to drop the dog off and come back and the guy insisted on saying no again until one of the female staff members said she would come and help me out. Whoever the guy was has absolutely terrible customer service etiquette and has completely turned me off from the idea of attending SoulCycle. If I had gone in to ask about memberships, this interaction would have been a big reason for me not to ever register.
Yen kim: Exceeded my expectations!!! Please open one in Melbourne, Australia!!
Rebeca Irvin: The staff here are so nice , the place is clean and bright and had positive vibes
Zachary Milot: If you're looking for a good time and to be pumped up for the rest of your day this is it! I think it is one of the best workouts I've ever had. You get energised and feel great after you leave. The facility is spotless and the products they have available in their showers are incredibly nice! I highly suggest getting your own water to bring as they do charge extra (they also charge extra for the shoes but unless you're going every day renting them makes more sense,)
Margaret Anderson: After having read a few negative reviews on here, I'm a bit surprised to hear any negative feedback about both the BackBay location as well as SoulCycle in general. It is true that there is competition elsewhere, but I personally find that the SOUL experience is one like no other. I will not minimize the fact that it costs quite a bit to attend, but it seems like the company can afford to charge this much as I have never once been in a class with more than a few open bikes - clearly, there exists an obsession with the experience! It is true that some people can seem a bit cold or "standoffish", but honestly, whatever. I'm there to sweat and yes, get in touch with my soul. Every instructor I've had has been wonderful and vivacious, the playlists spot on, the class going by in what seems like 3 seconds. It can be intimidating for a first timer, but I recommend getting to the studio as early as you can for your first ride, don't be afraid to ask questions, and don't take someone looking at you funny so seriously! I will be a SOUL customer for life, and that says something when there is so much competition elsewhere. Clearly, based on the loyal following, I'm not the only one.
Gregory Kantor: I would've given this 3 or 4 stars, however I walked into the studio on time (3 minutes before class) and I was told I should have called ahead because they would've given up my bike. Besides that, their classes are pretty average and this one was no exception. I think flywheel pushes you to have a harder workout - also, I don't think I sweated from exertion, but because the room was so damn hot.
Antone Bufford: Wonderful!
Courtney Jane Brown: I love the workout I get here. 45 minutes of focused exercise that you can really push limits in or take at your own pace. It can be expensive to go regularly but an excellent supplement to your workout to take things to the next level.
Jenny Xu: Good solid cycling location! The instructors are always upbeat though sometimes it’s easy to get lost if you are a newcomer and don’t know what’s going on. Still, a very motivating and intense workout!
Cindy Huynh: Came here for my first spin class and everyone was so helpful.
Lahari Peddamekala: It is amazing! if only it was not so price-y I would be there more often! At least if i could get a monthly membership instead of paying $30 for each day/class!
Amanda Rosenberg: I swear by soul! Amazing staff, empowering instructors, and rewarding (and fun!) workout!
Elizabeth Lackey: OBSESSED WITH SOUL CYCLE BACK BAY!!!!!!!
Michael Joseph: I was literally shamed at Soul Cycle... I am not new to spin classes but I was new to Soul Cycle. Having sustained a shoulder injury and being new, I wanted to speak to the instructor prior to the start of class, but a front desk associate set me up on the bike.. The instructor walked in and the class started before I could blink or even talk to him. There was zero warm up and the music was so loud and fast I could not take it. I left after 10 minutes. The instructor called me "new guy" in front of everyone to shame me. The staff was unapologetic, made me shamefully fill out a report and raped me of $20. Definitely not good for the soul. With so much competition - Handlebar and Flywheel to name two in such close proximity... this was not a way to treat a new customer. Be wary before you try this place out.
Layla Shaikley: Incredible! Dani was unreal.
Nina Duong: SoulCycle was my first experience with spin classes and it has been really great! I took advantage of the new member promotion that gave you 3 classes for $60. The staff is incredibly nice and the two instructors that I had (James and Bridget) were really great at pumping me up and inspiring me to push myself, while sufficiently distracting me from the fact that I was exercising. The facility is walking distance from Back Bay and Copley stations, had good locker and bathroom spaces, and provided little things like spray on deodorant and q-tips. My only hesitation is the $3 charge for the clip in shoes. If you're interested in coming to this location regularly, you definitely should invest in your own pair. Overall, great experience!
Douglas Arevalo: Awesome spin classes. James, an instructor, has great routine, great music, keeps you motivated and pumped all class. Place is clean, they provide clipless shoes, showers, and towels.
Ariel Tal: Nice SC location. Large bathrooms and enough lockers for everyone. The sound quality is sometimes a bit off, depending on the seat.
Amanda Gutting: My instructor failed to show for my 6am class. The front desk staff were able to rebook me for the following day.
Jaclyn Beattie: Obsessed with James L's classes!!
Gilles DELMIGLIO: Great location, staff and teachers. Clean. Please turn down a bit the volume..

Turnstyle - Back Bay: what do users think?
Elena Benassi: Turnstyle has become my favorite part of my weekly routine! The instructors are amazing (shout out Tori) and the theme selections are great. Never fails to make my day better!
Lisa Ly: My favorite spin studio in Boston. Instructors are so fun and motivating
Ramona Yoga: They have a cool space, the staff is great, and the music in class is always super motivating.
gina: Great group of instructors who make the workout fun and guide you on a positive journey through uplifting beats that carry you through the class
Maria Iannuccillo: Take Sabrina's class. It will change your life
Lauren Joaquin: Great place to work out
Cayce Marks: Love this basement spin space. It’s dark, it’s loud, and one of the more positive environments I’ve worked out in. Awesome and inspirational instructors who are welcoming to all levels!
Lucille Zipf: Heaven on a spin bike
Ange Leavitt: I had never taken a spin class before and just came from my first time to Turnstyle. I was really nervous and honestly had no clue what to do, but every staff member went out of their way to make me feel welcome and answer all of my (many) questions. The music was realIy fun and the instructor was great. I will definitely be back. For anyone going for the first time I do recommend arriving early.
Aleece Fitzgerald: I hate that you have to clip in. Would have been good to know so I could have brought my own and not rented some used sweaty pair.
K F: I love love love Turnstyle! This has quickly become my haven when in need of a work-out. Turnstyle differentiates itself by providing upfront the expected music within the class. Any new riders will be quickly welcomed (Turnstyle is 100% body-positive - this was a big plus for me as I was looking for cardio to shred a bit and wanted to be able to take classes with my sports bra only). Download the app and get started. I use their 6-class subscription at ~$60-$70. Although it doesn't have a shower in this location it does have secure lockers which I value at a much higher weight.
Stephanie Schlatz: I’m absolutely hooked. I’ve been coming here for the past month and loved every second of it. I can’t see myself ever getting sick of it. All of the instructors are amazing, especially Maggie and Katrina!
Melissa Straus Di Ciaccio: Best spin instructors in Boston and a very reasonable rate.
Joy Kogut: Great classes. Loud music. Dark room. Fabulous energy.
John Taplett: Exactly what you would likely expect from a basement spingym. People show up ready to get down to business. Equipment is pretty good and the classes start on time and end on time. Could be cleaner, but not really an issue and I get what I come for.
Rose Tharail John: Great place for spin. No nonsense. Few frills. Cons- less air in the studio. Can get very muggy if the studio is full
Khia Hunter: The best spin class.
Kerry X: Love the music based classes and pace setting. The back bay location is much more convenient for me but it's a bit more of a basement than the South end location.
Ben Harris: Great spin studio. Fun classes, friendly instructors that go out of their way to help you. They offer a wide variety of classes, both in terms of times and musical tastes. One of the more reasonably priced studios in Boston. You can buy class packs that are good at any of their several locations. They also provide spin shoes which is a nice touch. No showers on site.
Michelle Stolwyk: Tried it out a couple of times through classpass - large studio can accommodate upwards of 40 people. Good instructors. Definitely need to use special cycling shoes - avoid this place if you're not comfortable with these shoes.
Juliana Casale: Thank goodness my first few experiences with spin took place here! While Velo-City has less bells and whistles than most boutiques I've come across, it's also far less intimidating, and way more personable. I love the low-key classes, fresh music and friendly instructors. Beginners, take heart! This is a no judgment zone where you can ask for help and get it instantly.

B/SPOKE Studios: what do users think?
Ryan Hildreth: I started going to be spoke on Cape cod I moved to Boston about 3 and 1/2 months ago I love the environment it's the funnest way to do cardio.
Stanislav Sinitsyn: After visiting over 2 dozen spin studios around the US, I can pretty confidently say this is the best spin class in the whole country. I’ve been coming back for years and will make sure I pop in ever time I’m in Boston. The instructors are super high energy, the playlist are FIRE and the bathroom products are very high quality. Honestly I would come back just to discover new music. They also don’t charge extra for shoes. What more could you want?
Adison Hohwart: I have taken only 2 classes with Justin & Marissa and both have been fantastic! I had so much fun, and got in a great workout. Both of them were so helpful as I am new to spin, very excited to keep coming back
Latifa Sweri-Fakhouri: Love this place
Katherine Randall: My favorite spin class gym in the city. Instructors and staff are the right mix of encouraging, friendly, and will push you to your goals
Tommy Vo: Decent place, a bit pricey but worth to try at least once
Timothy Ladd: Great workout, extra friendly staff and always feel inspired when I'm finished.
Elizabeth Rockwell: Great classes and instructors!
Elizabeth: Over-hyped, over-rated, and over-privileged
Wali: A small place with friendly staff
Nicole Gager: Love B/SPOKE cycling classes! They are super fun and definitely a great workout! I left the class drenched in sweat and my Fitbit registered over 600 calories burned! Great music and great atmosphere! Will be coming back!
Christina Arakelian: Move over SoulCycle... this is definitely the best Premium indoor cycling studio in the greater Boston area. It’s locally owned and operated but is so on key with merchandise and branding that it feels like it is a chain. They have another location in Wellesley that also has a training studio for off the bike workouts.
Cara Shorey: Love this place! The classes keep you focused and work your entire body. When you're done, they have everything you need to clean up too!
Meg: U have never done a cycling class like this. I was working at Metro Meeting Centers and took this class the morning before a conference. The class with Chelsea was AMAZING and I want more! Also, the amenities in the ladies restroom were incredible. What an experience!
Carmen Chan: Favorite spin studio. Instructors with the best playlists. Intimate spin room with cool lights.
Dominique Francon: Amazing classes
Kari Coffindaffer: Amazing studio! I'm a cycling instructor from out of state and attended Kelly's hip hop ride while visiting. Super fun playlist and challenging and accessible ride structure. Really nice ride room and locker room as well. Went to soulcycle first and wishing I would have gone to B/SPOKE instead! Seems like a great community and had a really warm, welcoming vibe. Hoping to get in one more ride before we leave. LOVED IT!
Cassie Sosnovich: I'd rather just work out on my own. Instructors were okay nothing special, i've been to better spin classes at my gym. Wanted to try something different, but all are the same, save your money.
Nina Duong: B/SPOKE is a really great indoor cycling facility. I took advantage of the Gilt City new member promotion that gave you 4 classes for $59. My instructor Molly was really inspiring, had a really great voice, and was good at giving me the beat that I should be cycling on. I was thoroughly distracted from the fact that I was working out, which is awesome. The facility is right off of Downtown Crossing and seems to be in a relatively business district; perfect for people who are trying to work out before or after work. The locker room and bathroom spaces are small and can be overcrowded during peak hours, but the staff are incredibly nice and helpful.
Coco Glaude: healthy addiction! best spin studio I have ever joined. staff is great, instructors rock, and everything is ready for your arrival (clean bikes, towels provided, shoes, lockers w/locks! your job is to just show up and be prepared for one heck of a sweaty ride! be sure to bring a large H2O bottle.
Whitestar19: This place is the best spin studio in Boston and it even won awards for it too. I lost over 25 pounds in six months going here. The staff is super friendly and get to know your name. They go above and beyond to help you out. The instructors are just amazing and motivating. I've been doing spin off and on for years at 3 other places and this is by far the best studio I've ever been to by a long shot. The bikes are great, free shoes, towel service, sparkling clean locker rooms with everything you need in it. The music is loud and bumping and keeps you going to the best. I can't say enough great things about this place so I'll stop now. Just go and you won't be disappointed and you will get in shape.

AXL Cycle Studio: what do users think?
Joseph Gravellese: Wonderful modern studio + great instructors and staff.
Salma Segebre: The perfect space with amazing instructors and the best staff. Fun perks— sauna, events, coffee
Yuliya Ali: Awesome studio! Great instructors, variety of classes, dogs in the lobby (at least on Fridays), what more could you want?
Kyle Webb: Love a Sunday morning sweat! Delaney’s class is the perfect way to prep for Sunday Football.
Rachel Connolly: I waited patiently for this studio to open, and it’s even better than I dreamed it would be. I was pretty new to spin, and these instructors had me RUNNING back for more after my first week. They’re so inclusive while still pushing each individual to be better. I’ve never been more thrilled to wake up at 6:30 am just so I can workout with my spin friends. The saunas and locker rooms are also a lovely perk
Emily Tieu: This is such a wonderful place to work out! The people at AXL are so sweet! I’ve never been into indoor cycling until I took my first class and now I’ll never look back! Bonus perk: The sauna is amazing!!! Always feel so relaxed when using it!
Sam M: Bailey is an awesome instructor, AXL is a great place for a fantastic workout!
Emily Gardiner: The vibe at this studio rocks!! Beautiful space, fun classes, extra amenities (sauna, showers, towels, etc). Highly recommend
Maria Salvatierra: It’s been over a month since joining AXL and I love it, it's the place where you can sweat and enjoy the atmosphere with very good music and great instructors, also safe and follows all protocols of covid-19.
Kasia Kowalchek: Axl is a addition to the neighborhood for spin enthusiasts! The studio is reasonably priced, brand new -- and built to meet COVID safety specifications. Right now (Aug. 2020) indoor classes are limited to 6 riders + 1 instructor. It feels very safe -- and the outdoor classes (see photo here from one such class) offer wonderful views of the city for free. I've taken every instructor on the roster so far and they are all very good + the staff is nice. TBH I wasn't so sure when they opened if this local studio (even though more convenient for me) would be able to truly tear me away from the other spin studios I have loved in Boston over the years (not that all are reopened yet, but still) and it has. I go all the time + I don't feel an overwhelming urge to go anyplace else.
Lauren Staley: AXL is amazing! The instructors are excellent, the studio is always clean (and they seem to take their safety protocols seriously) and the bikes are top-notch. The AXL staff is friendly and accommodating, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed spinning at this new studio. I would suggest trying to get on the schedule early as their classes usually book up quickly. 10/10 would recommend!
Irie Friot: I have been loving the outdoor rides AXL has had recently! You can't beat the view of Boston harbor! The sound quality is fantastic and you feel safe at a large distance from your neighbor's bike. It is much more fun to dance on a bike with a group than to run my normal loop alone. Would highly recommend!
Lana Irqsusi: AXL is the cutest & newest spin studio in Eastie! They have a lot of class offering, have great instructors and they even have outdoor waterfront classes which are amazing. They’re in studio safety precautions are top notch, (they even have a special air filter system!), and the owners do everything in their power to make sure the studio is clean and their team/riders are safe! Highly recommend!
Deanna Reiss: Took my first class with Axl today! I love spin and have missed it during the shutdown. The studio was so nice; trendy, tasteful and easily accommodated everyone getting ready for class. They’ve outdone themselves with Covid safety too! You feel like you almost have a private “booth” with sneezeguards around you to ensure you’re not breathing in your neighbors air plus bikes are all spaced out very well. Bri was a FABULOUS instructor; great music, awesome energy all while wearing her mask the entire time! They have cubbies for each bikes, but there are no locks on them (didn’t bother us but some people may care).
Ellen Juskewitch: Great variety in virtual options, can't wait till they open!

SoulCycle PORT - Seaport: what do users think?
Carlos Lopez: First time doing this was such a good workout (im a big guy) but they were super friendly they even helped me get ❤️Love the energy very motivating and such an awesome atmosphere experienceMy friend is use to doing this and they had a buy 1 get one free, so happy she invited me (spent $30)Locatuin is between buildings so can be trixky to find (can easily drive by it). Parking is tricky around hereLocation is beautiful, theirs a smoothie place next door.No phones allowed inside (privacy but understandable why)It can get tight in the locker area very small space but they were free. There are restroom here
Emily Hamman: Challenging & fun classes with inspiration mixed in. Loved the Taylor Swift theme ride with Ali. She & the whole team made me feel very special and loved on my birthday!
Emily Garven: Drove 30 minutes to get there and and couldn’t find parking. Finally just paid $25 to park in a garage so my friend wouldn’t get charged for the class since I was there for being a friend day. I arrived exactly 11 minutes late and they said they couldn’t let me in after 10 minutes and wouldn’t make the 1 minute exception even after explaining. I was there to potentially get a package/membership and I will absolutely never be going again. The one minute was apparently not worth gaining a new client.
Kindra Hall: Visiting from out of town and decided to ride last minute. The staff was helpful, the instructor was great and I left feeling strong and ready for a big work event the next day.
Kathryn Hagerty: Incredible experience! Instructors are so good. I absolutely love coming here.
Andleeb Dombrowski: Fun way to start Friday with Tori! Great music and a challenging workout.
jeff: Fun
kimberly turner: The Seaport Staff are absolutely fantastic (Jules, Eva, Leah to name a few faves)! They are warm and friendly and make you feel welcome - sooooo helpful to us first timers who are often intimidated by what can often times be perceived as a cold, scary place to walk into, not knowing how to get set up on the bikes or knowing the routines. Here, it is ok to ask for help as many times as you need it, and to go at your own pace. The instructors are top notch. The facility is new and clean and provides you with the little extras that set it apart from the others.I have gone to 4 classes and have noticed a big improvement in my endurance already. I notice improvement with each class.I highly recommend SoulCycle and their classes! I give SoulCycle Seaport 5 stars.
Melissa Yakimowsky: Love, love this place! Nothing better than an excellent spin class with great music, and workout! Johnny is amazing! Looking forward to taking other classes with different instructors to find my favorite!
cathy pallin: Incredible class! Loved it!!

Rev'd Indoor Cycling | Copley: what do users think?
Drew McClendon: I love this place! I have always wanted to join a cycle studio but was always nervous that I would not fit in, given some of the rhetoric you hear now a days. Rev’d has such a beautiful and diverse community, with knowledgeable instructors to match. I highly recommend trying them out, especially if you have been nervous about joining a studio. Best decision ever!

Kevin Pidgeon: Definitely my favorite spin studio in Boston. Staff is always super friendly and the instructors are top notch and always show up ready to give you your moneys worth. Some studios can be stuffy or a little pretentious, but you don't get any of that at Rev'd. Highly recommend!
Camille Mercado: Just finished a month of unlimited membership and I couldn't be happier! The front desk crew, instructors, and athletes all made me feel so supported in my training. I really love going to class everyday and am so happy to have joined.

Everyone from the front desk, to the instructors, to even the other athletes are so kind & helpful. I leave always feeling empowered & ready to take on the day/week. Would recommend to anyone looking to try a new athletic activity out
Kassandra Boylan: I have had such a great experience here! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and I love the variety of classes here!

Emily Phares: I couldn’t say enough good things about this company and the community they’ve created. Every instructor has a different dynamic and approach to teaching and I’ve loved every class I’ve taken. The Copley studio is beautiful and conveniently located next to cafe Nero so you can reward all your hard work with a delicious latte:) Rev’d is like therapy to me. Came take a class and see why!

The Handle Bar | Fenway Location: what do users think?
Elizabeth Kelemen: My bike wasn't working properly, I kept having to fix it during class and missed a portion of the class. The AC was broken and they didnt turn the fans on until the last 10 minutes. The room was a sauna. The studio is super small for all the people trying to fit in it at once.
Whitney Proffitt: The best cycling studio. Love this place!
Tim Rothfuss: Friendly staff and motivating instructors. Classes are challenging and fun.
Zlatan Harambasic (Z): My home away from home! This is the BEST place to spin in Boston. Love the community and instructors! The Handle Bar absolutely nailed it with BNL during COVID. Regardless what studio you visit you will alway experience so much energy, love and have a amazing workout. I left Soul for various reasons and I choose this studio above any of the other cycle studios in Boston! They care about their riders and have a focus on mental health and well being. Truly a great environment. Jarred, Matt and Chris are my absolute favorite!
Cara Hendricks: My home away from home!
Tyler Church: Absolutely amazing experience and great staff that assist in making sure you are comfortable!
Erin Sward: Stephan was amazing
Brandoe TV: a Friend of mine did her first class yesterday, and was told by the front desk that she hadn't reserved a bike so she may not be able to participate, as this happened a white male entered asking for a free trial, to which he was told "yes there are two bikes left" your employee instantly realized that her co worker had already denied my friend access, My friend vocalized the injustice to which she was told " ok you can go in if there's any left" there was only one bike left of course. this took place between the hours of 6-8 who ever you had working the desk is a small reason as to why there is racial tension in this country.
Katherine Williams: Absolutely love coming to spin at this place! Great people and a great class to take.
AHMAD ALSHAMSI: I would love to go there
Cecilia Nardi: Best spin studio in Boston!
Pedro Ivo Braun: High energy classes, great place for spinning.
Mitchell Roberts: Good workout. Small studio

Ride North End: what do users think?
Christine Corallino: Positive:Quality
Amos Yeung: The closest station is Haymarket/North End, so its a bit of a walk in terms of location but the studio is very clean and their bikes are also very new. The instructors are very friendly, and also enjoy how there's a juice shop in the studio, you can order your drink before class, and voila its ready after class - I always opt for cold brew
Eric: Will blow your mind. Sultry mixed with attitude. Best spin classes in the city
