Although service was slightly slow but as expected of a very popular bar restaurant in downtown Boston. If you’re ever in town definitely should give it a visit. The place is really pretty too.

River Tam: Got on a wait list through Resy. When we got there, waitress tells us she has no idea what list we're talking about. She can't possibly seat us for an hour. We step outside because the place is tiny and we're in the way. One person goes back in to make sure we can get the table only to be told it's reserved, so we can't get a table in an hour, either. Both times, the waitress was rude to us apparently for having the audacity to not be familiar with the size or set up if the restaurant. We took an Uber to another restaurant and were just seated when Resy texted to let us know there was a cancelation and we could be seated. Absolutely not. Not with that attitude.
Emily Schackmuth: My friends and I had a wonderful dinner here over the weekend. Cute, cozy & perfect food. Establishment was small however the service was top notch and the food was amazing. Get the garlic soup (sounds freaky but please just get it and dunk your bread in it). Intimate AF and well worth your $. Go here. Make the resy and you won’t be disappointed.
Luis Dieguez: Muy buena comida, el lugar es pequeño y se llena rápido, preferible reservar, pero fue una buena experiencia culinaria
Hannah L: Last time we were here it was cold and very dark I don't think I was able to actually enjoy the food. But this time...the short ribs gnocchi. Unforgettable. Worth trying at least once.

Alvaro M. Guzman: We found this place trying to get some dinner in the city, such a great surprise! It’s small but cozy. The staff was great and the food even better. The desert we choose was ok, but the main course was delicious. Good selection of Italian wines.
Ibrahim Mansoor: Last night, my fiancé and I ventured into the world of Italian cuisine to celebrate her birthday at Grotto, and boy, did it leave us in a food coma worth every bite! The journey began with navigating parking options, which included street parking and parking lots. But to save yourself from the parking puzzle, I'd recommend hitching a ride with Uber and cruising right up to the door.Upon entering Grotto, we were greeted by a cozy, intimate space adorned with charming brick walls. The noise level occasionally spiked, thanks to some enthusiastic patrons who couldn't contain their love for Italian food (or perhaps they were shouting for joy over their dishes). Pro tip: a louder music volume might keep the chatterboxes in check. The service was swift, and we dove right into the Primi, Secondi, and Dolce menu at $46 per person. Here's a glimpse of our gastronomic extravaganza:My Order:• Garlic Soup (Black Truffle, Parmesan, Bread crumbs): like a warm hug from Nonna on a cold day• Carne (Grilled tenderloin, Parmesan Risotto, Asparagus, Red wine sauce): a symphony of tenderness, cheesiness, and deliciousness• Budino (Banana bread pudding, Spiced Walnuts and caramel, Salted Caramel ice cream): dessert heaven, need I say more?My Fiancé's Order:• Cavatelle (House prepared ricotta pasta, Sausage, Peas, Mushroom, Pancetta, Cream): Nana-approved goodness in every bite• Pesce (Seared farm-raised salmon in a creamy lemon and butter sauce, Grilled broccolini & spinach): cooked to fin-tastic perfection• Tiramisu (Ladyfingers, Mascarpone, Espresso, Cocoa, Whipped Cream): espresso-lly delightful, finger-lickin' good! Our taste buds were treated to a rollercoaster ride of flavors and textures, each dish an ode to the chef's mastery of Italian cuisine. The Carne's tender steak and heavenly Parmesan Risotto left me questioning if I'd stumbled into a dream, while my fiancé - an Italian food connoisseur - raved about the authenticity of her Cavatelle and the succulent salmon. As we reached the grand finale of our meal, the decadent Tiramisu and Banana Bread Pudding left us floating on a cloud of dessert bliss. Kudos to the chef for their excellent timing and attention to detail! And now, the cherry on top: the price. For all the food we ordered, plus 2 drinks each and a 20% gratuity, our total was a jaw-dropping $137.16. Talk about a steal for such an exquisite dining experience! In conclusion, Grotto has won us over with its humorously noisy charm, mouthwatering dishes, and wallet-friendly prices. If you're in the mood for Italian cuisine that will make you laugh, cry (tears of joy, of course), and come back for more, Grotto is the place to be. Buon appetito!
Jeffrey Marquez: Great Italian restaurant. Top quality..Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ted H: Love coming here. Small, intimate restaurant with great service. The 3-course prefix is the way to go, my favorites being the Patata Dolce (sweet potato ravioli), Carne (tenderloin over risotto), and the Cioccolato dessert. Always a great experience!
Mackenzie Griffith: Had the price fixe meal. Each course was better than the last! Small restaurant so definitely make reservations.
Abri: I was very pleased with this restaurant, so much so I would come back. I would go to try more of their food and drinks options. I thought the place was pretty affordable and our waiter was very kind and nice. I liked the ambiance and how intimate and small it was.My salmon meal was absolutely delicious that sauce it was in was amazing. The banana bread dessert so good!!!I gave a 4 only because the the caesar salad dressing tasted like mayo, my ravioli was great but it seems like the sauce it was sitting in was bacon fat which was not tasty and lastly my fiance meal was great but it just needed some black pepper and salt.Other than those minor things, I really enjoyed my time there.
Kai Shraiberg: Very classic and sophisticated restaurant. Don't go here if you're looking for an updated, hip, modern meal or vibe. It's a perfect home in the wall for seriously romantic and intimate dinners.Wheelchair accessibility: Difficult but not impossible if you have someone helping you get in and move around.
Scott Miller: Food was great, service was great, and the room is very cool.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Bethany Mayo: Delicious meal and great service! Small intimate setting suitable for smaller parties. A little drafty so bring a coat. If you want to go here show up very early or make a reservation.
Anaya Barmecha: Cute date spot but limited options for vegetarians. Food was alright - the ravioli did not come out hot
Mark Mikhaeal: We had a great experience at Grotto! Food, drinks, and the atmosphere were amazing, highly recommend!

Ilyas Kopf: Все хорошо, все вкусно, официанты очень доброжелательны и готовы помочь абсолютно по всем вопросами.Но есть одно но, цена неоправданно завышена на еду, на напитки а так же интерьер выполнен в старом стиле....Everything is fine, everything is tasty, the waiters are very friendly and ready to help with absolutely all questions. But there is one thing, but the price is unreasonably high for food, for drinks as well as the interior is made in the old style.
Megan Tiffany: Great food. Service was also great. They accommodated our baby's stroller with no issue. This was for lunch and it was almost empty. Our baby slept the whole time so I can't say much for how they would be if he cried or if there were a lot of people there.Scallops were okay. Steak was cool. My soup was delicious 😋Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't say this place is for children since it's a pretty upscale place, but we didn't get any problems from staff with bringing our quiet baby and stroller.Wheelchair accessibility: There was an elevator and tables you can get to without taking stairs
Dana Grandoni: The pre dinner rolls were amazing. The bacon app (more like pork belly) was amazing. But unexpectedly the steak dishes were a little disappointing. I had the wagyu meatballs which were good but could have been any moist meatballs. My $65 ribeye was well seasoned but over cooked. I wasn't the only one in the party who got an overcooked steak, which is a steakhouse sin. The wait staff did their job adequately but they were not overly friendly.Tl;dr you're going to get good food but it's probably not worth the price.
Diana Maksymiuk: This place was beyond our expectations. We had group of 11 and our server Melissa was the best server, we had 6 months old with us and Melissa held him while the mother ate her dinner. I have never had a server that cared so much for guest experience. We will be coming back to this place every time we’re in town.

Kimberly Delano: I wasn't sure what to expect coming here, but I was SO pleasantly surprised!!! When you first walk in, it seems nothing special, but then you get to where the seating is, and it's lovely. This is a place you can dress up or dress down really. Very comfortable and relaxed environment, not stuffy even though it's classy. We had waterside seating. It was nighttime and still nice, but I bet during the day it's gorgeous! My friend wanted a chocolate martini, and although not on the cocktail menu, they made her one! It even had a chocolate rim with shaved chocolate that melted into your mouth as you drank. It was fantastic!!! I had their espresso martini, and wow, it was delicious. The bread basket was a bit meh, so we weren't sure how dinner would go. We did get appetizers, my friend the mushrooms, and I got the risotto balls. Both were excellent!! For dinner, she got the short ribs, and I ordered the lemon chicken pasta dish. Sorry, I don't have the exact names, but both were phenomenal!! The short ribs were so tender you could pull them apart with your fingers!! And my pasta was so perfectly cooked, chicken was tender and the sauce divine!! We both ended up cleaning our plates!! I wished we had room for dessert as they looked excellent as well! I was visiting from Milwaukee and my friend was up from the Vineyard where she's working. And shout out to our server, Roberto!!! He was very pleasant and attentive!I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!
Kim Sousa: Easter brunch, not worth $50Unorganized

Luka Vujeva: Supreme high end stake house! Amazing service and wine choice.
Salma Shawa: I loved the food and service. The attention to detail is immaculate. There are so many little things that make this place unlike any other. The decor, cleanliness, and friendly staff make this place really put together.
Brian: Ordered takeout last weekend and got two steaks(plus sides) one was supposed to be medium rare, the other supposed to be rare. Both steaks ended up being EXTREMELY rare.. I'm not someone who likes to call up and complain so we thought we could just cook the other steak a little bit more and would be fine.... Was not able to salvage the steak and ended up not being able to eat it, and was thrown away..... For $180 dollars worth of takeout I expected much better.... Really disappointed and probably will not be back.
Bianca Young: We came for a birthday dinner and just had a poor experience. Our server was fine but I found the options were just okay compared to some other steakhouses. Tartare was oily, ceaser salad and watery and flavorless, Cornish hen was dry and covered in butter without much flavor. My partner loved his streak, which I guess is the star of the show. Struck out with drinks 3 times all drinks were just eh teetering on unpalatable, but we ordered off menu. The dessert was good. Personally had a much better experience at Mooo in seaport. Preferred the ambiance and felt the food was better.
Michael Zeman: Awesome steaks, sides, and service. The side of flavored butter on steaks is a nice touch. The beer choices were small. How about a simple beer that most have heard of.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chocolate Cake …More

Parker: Beyond amazing dinning experience here at Mooo... Our server Jenna rose was very efficient with service and our business partner & guest were exceptionally impressed. Carlos who was also looking after us was extremely good with attention to detail. We started off with the lobster bisque soup which is delicious.Midcourse we shared the Japanese wagyu beef dumplings and prime sirloin smoked tartare, both had perfect flavours.3 of the guest had the American wagyu cap steak which they said was the best cut of beef they have ever had to date.(highly recommend trying this steak if you come to Mooo..) I enjoyed the salmon dish which was served on a bed of celery root puree with fennel and was soo good! We also all enjoyed the "Moo flight" which was 4 shareable sides. (mashed potatoes, exotic mushrooms, creamed spinach and truffle fries)For desert even tho we were all too full we shared the creme brûlée & bananas foster, pure bliss. The specialty cocktail menu here is impressive and everyone spoke very highly of the cocktails they tried. The manager Maria came and introduced herself to the table and welcomed us all and said not to hesitate to ask for assistance with anything. Very pleasant woman! Thanks again Jenna Rose, Carlos, Maria & Mooo.. for hosting and making this such great and memorable dinning experience for us! looking forward to dinning here again!

Megan McCoy: Unfortunately I didn’t even get the chance to eat the food, when my party and I walked in (with reservations for my birthday dinner) NOT A SINGLE employee greeted, acknowledged or even smiled at us. We waited for 7+ minutes in awkward silence as employees looked directly at us then looked away. Eventually the hostess made it up to the front and told us our table would be ready in about 15 minutes. Due to the horrible entitled energy in here, I left. You would think with such an expensive menu they would have just as amazing customer service. But I guess if they don’t deem you worthy of their time then you won’t be paid any attention to.Do better.
Sean M: Dry aged and Wagyu are awesome steaks.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Japanese Wagyu Beef Dumplings …More
Sheila Barbas: The actual space was pleasant. The food wasn't worth our 600 dollar bill.I ordered a carrot dish and I laughed at the absurd huge unpeeled carrot. We also ordered a dish with a vegetable and we got 1 piece. It was laughable. I don't eat steak but those who ate it said it was typical of any steak house. The drinks were overpriced but fine. It was a birthday dinner and they gave us chocolate covered marshmallows. LolNeedless to say...I won't be returning.
Neil: A great experience tonight. The minute you walk in you are treated like royalty. The service is excellent and our meal was delicious. A high end restaurant but worth every penny.

Stella Lee: Very nice restaurant! Our second time we dined here- and they did not disappoint. Food & service were excellent! I appreciate how they split an appetizer/dish for you to share with another. My only complaint is that the tables are pretty close to each other and you can hear conversations from others.
Eleighna Tate: My husband and I came here on our first year wedding anniversary and were very happy with our entire experience. From our greeting by the hostess, all the way through to the end with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on our dessert plates. The atmosphere was lovely. The food tasted incredible. We would definitely return.

Douglas Arevalo: Reserve a table! This restaurant has a nice, dim, and posh ambiance. The service was great and the staff very friendly. The food was also very delicious. Portions were just right. High-end but you definitely taste the quality. I recommend the truffle Mac and Cheese, light, pasta had great texture, very well balanced ingredients, not over the top cheesey.
Tim Zhang: Overall a great experience.Ordered French Onion Soup and Escargot as appetizers, wine braised short rib as entree. The soup was flavorful and the pastry was hot and puffy with a hint of crispness on the surface. It is one of the best I’ve had in the city. The Escargot was a little bit bland for my taste but nothing wrong with it otherwise. The braised short rib was absolutely wonderful. The meat was cooked to perfection with just correct texture and firmness to pair with rich and fruity Bordelaise. That being said though, I still question the very existence of those two random onion rings that do not contribute much to the dish. Not at all a deal breaker though.Would be happy to visit again for other dishes.

Coppa Enoteca: what do users think?
Jennifer Lee: The food here is incredible! I love pasta and I’ve been to places in the north end that I actually wasn’t a huge fan of despite their reputation. At Coppa, I ordered the bolognese and the special pasta (clams with squid ink bucatini). So so good. Coppa has such good balance between sauce and noodles that it doesn’t taste like pasta noodles sitting in sauce.I wanted to try more things but that just means I get to go back again to try more! Excited to go back soon and get more things! Or I could go for pasta again since it was so good 😋🤤
Rob Mendelsohn: Cavatelll and tagliatelle were excellent!
Richard S: The maitre d’ was exceptionally nice in finding us a seat at the bar and the rigatoni was incredibly good but the tagliatelle was not as good and the burrata to start was actually terrible. Very nice service and wonderful vibe to the place, felt like Brooklyn.
Leah: Did a take-out of pizzas last night for dinner and both were EXCELLENT. Not too charred like other places -- chewy in a nice way with crisp under carriage. Flavorful with enough toppings. Can't wait to dine-in for pasta.Food: 5/5Recommended dishes Bone Marrow and Lengua Pizza …More

Sergio Solis Checa: Mixed feelings about this place, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere but the tables are too close to each other. The food was good, my pizza was decent and my wife loved her pasta, but the drinks could be better, specially when you pay $15 each and they are served on soda cups. The server was friendly and fast, but I cannot rate as good service because even though we ordered our mains together, my wife's plate was served much later than mine. It's ok when they are not served at the same time, but the time difference cannot be long, and it was; there was also an extra fee at the end, something around 5%
Carlos Malet: Very unfriendly and unwelcoming staff
Ann Gardiner: We were in Boston for the weekend. With no reservation or notice the hostess was able to accommodate our party of 6. We sat at the bar and had a fantastic meal. Great atmosphere and excellent service.
michael aichinger: Fantastic food. Took care of us in short notice. Highly recommend it.
Proddy Sukcharoen: A fancy twist to literally every Italian dish you could ever think of. Spaghetti carbonara, for example, was garnished with Maine uni which added to the dish’s creaminess beautifully. Their Soppressata Pizza has far by been the best pizza I’ve had in Boston. The presence of tomato, dry aged salami, mozzarella, honey, garlic, chili on the pizza was an absolute delight to the palate. They all blend together so perfectly to create an interesting and memorable taste which is pretty challenging to describe. You definitely have to try it out for yourself to know haha. Oh, and don’t forget to end your meal with Coppa’s signature tiramisu! The restaurant space is slightly limited; therefore, reservations are highly recommended. I booked a reservation for a party of 5 on a Monday night and we were surprised to see just how busy things were even on a random weekday night.
Brian Ferdman: If you read reviews of Coppa, they'll tell you "this is the place where Boston chefs go for pizza." As a pizza aficionado, that's what drew me. As far as toppings go, the offerings are high-end, creative, and delicious...but pizza is about the crust...and this crust is really lacking. There's just no char at all, as you can see in the photo. Other pizzas that came out that day had a similarly disappointing, undercooked look to them. If pizza is what's drawing you here, make your choice be all about the toppings. I saw a "Margherita" at the table next to me that looked like an incredibly basic cheese pizza. Pizzas are a personal size, so you're really paying for those toppings. (Again, don't blow it by ordering a Margherita.) The insalata I had was standard but tasty. The room is fairly small and angular with some uncomfortable looking backless stools at the bar. One last thing, a number of reviews here make statements about racism toward people of color. I can't personally speak to that, but I can say there were a number of people of color in the restaurant, and they all seemed to receive the same prompt and upbeat service that everyone else got, and none of them looked unhappy. That's not to negate anyone else's experience; it was just something I was watching for as a result of reading other reviews.
Sarah: Bad Romance cocktail is delicious
erin smith: I wanna start by saying the food was great. My issue is with the prices. For example, we ordered the Arancini which is $15. The plate has 3 small Arancini (golf ball size) and they unfortunately tasted a bit under-seasoned. The sauce they came with was delicious, but ultimately it did not warrant a $15 price tag. Similarly, the portions for the $15 meat selection are really small, we were done with our Boar salami within 2 minutes. For the price tag, I found that some dishes could be elevated to a higher level. The pasta was yummy though and I found the service quick, efficient and all around good!
Priya Prakash: Authentic and really tastefully curated menu. Loved the Buccatini and the Arancini, although the portion size of the Arancini was questionable. The Belgian chocolate gelato will blow your mind. Fair warning: it’s HUGE and cannot be completed by one person.
Dan M: One of the best restaurants in the area, if not THE best. Jamie, Ken, and their team knock it out of the park year after year. Definitely worth coming here even if parking is a pain but that summer patio, I miss the good times there!Recommended dishes Beef Tartare, Bone Marrow and Lengua Pizza, Crudo …More
Emily Hamman: Overall a nice dining experience on a Thursday night at Coppa - food was tasty and came quick. I was satisfied with the gluten free pasta option. Service was just okay - nothing spectacular but nothing particularly wrong, either. We ate at the bar, & I requested some drink and food recommendations since it was my first timing dining at coppa, but was disappointed in the bartender’s willingness to engage and provide any insight. She didn’t seem overly busy, either (was on her phone at times in which we were waiting for service). Maybe sitting at a table would be a better experience but with a reservation almost 2 weeks out and a small dining space, this was all we could get!
Kristina Gambarian: Spectacular food! Amazing service! The pastas are top notch! Definitely will come back again!Recommended dishes Spaghetti Carbonara …More
Tony Babecka: Food was ok, but a little expensive for the price. Also, they add an extra 3% surcharge to pay the back of house, which makes me think they aren't paying them fair wages to begin with or they don't tip share? Either way, a little shady and disappointing.Since I'm tipping the front of house only, the waiter was fantastic! No qualms about the front of house service. He was prompt, answered any and all questions, and made great recommendations. The food is a little on the pricey side for what you receive. For the price, I would have expected larger portions. The food was ok, but it could have been a mental price comparison that dropped it a peg or two in my opinion. We had walked by this place numerous times and they are always packed and we had to make a reservation to finally get a table. If you are ok with the 3% surcharge to raise the wage of underpaid back of house staff and ok food, give it a chance. It wasn't bad and the service was great, just a little pricey for my taste.
Peter Fusco: The food was ok. Sauce needed to cook a little longer. When we arrived with 8pm reservations, they seated us ontime. We ordered our apps, meatballs and mushrooms and order our main meal, the pizza. The apps arrived with the bread and we were not more then 5 mins into the apps when our main meal arrived. Hate that! Felt like we were being rushed. The meatballs, a little small had some spice to them, not what I expected from Italian meatballs. The sauce on the pizza seemed undercooked, had acid reflux within an hour, which tells me, it was under cooked. The pizza dough I cannot really judge has every slice had burnt spots.I am sure the locals enjoy this place, but an Italian from NY,,, not for me.

Alexis Newman: The headline of this review is: GET THE PISTACHIO GELATO. It doesn’t matter if you’re full after all the delicious pasta. The gelato is perfect in every way - flavor, texture, accompaniments. The portion size is large, definitely enough to share between 2-3 people. The rest of the meal was well prepared and tasty. We tried the chicken liver crostini, the erbazzone, bucatini all’amatriciana, tagliatelle bolognese, and pappardelle with wild boar. Our favorite of all was the pappardelle. The food here is thoughtfully crafted and prepared perfectly.
Hunter Nemitz: Our waitress was very delightful and happy to explain and joke with us about the silly names for things on the menu. The food was fantastic, in particular the cherry gelato. Such a nice place to go for dinner worth every penny.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken Liver Crostini with Green Tomato Marmellata, Pappardelle with Wild Boar, Affogato …More
Andy Palmer: Giulia is truly one of the most exceptional dining experiences of my life. Michael is a culinary artist like no other.
Yulia Sidi: The food is nice, however totally overpriced. The service was pretty good, but on a slow side.
Andrew Hills: The other reviews have covered the amazing food. They're absolutely right. What really stands out to me about Giulia is the next level service from the whole staff. It was very impressive, a real fine dining experience. The pacing of meal and drink delivery was perfect, which really defined the experience for me—we always had just enough at our table for the moment, and they never missed a beat. I have yet to see any other restaurant in the Boston area run a ship as tight as this. We couldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the night.Vegetarian options: About a third of the menu is vegetarian, with good variety. The wait staff will highlight them if they know you're vegetarian.
Liz Harty: We reserved the pasta table for a big family dinner. The family style menu was amazing. They accommodated allergies and one vegetarian diner and they loved their plates also. Each dish just as great as the last - and there was so much food. Sometimes tasting menus have really small portions but not here. Cocktails and wine were also perfect. Ambiance was fun and lively.
Amna Ali: Loved this place! Great hostess and waitress that really took care of us and our allergies/dietary restrictions. Rarely been to a place with staff so knowledgeable 😍
Alex Zhu: The service here is outstanding, but the food was seriously lacking. Tried three pastas and they were all underwhelming. As a pâté lover, I was surprised to find that the chicken liver crostinis straight up tasted like vom. The best dish of the night turned out to be the prosciutto, which required the least effort to prepare. All of the microgreens used were limp. Been looking forward to trying this place for years, huge let down for sure.
pika: The chicken liver bites were alright.Tried 3 pastas, they were all way too salty, including the famous wild boar pappardelle. The daily special pasta with mussels and razor clams etc. had sand inside the shellfish, which is understandable for dishes with shellfish, but still a disappointment for restaurants like this. The portions of the pasta were small, which was great since they were all so salty that I really would not want to eat more.Liked the deserts, especially the raspberry sorbet that came with the panna cotta and the minty taste of the panna cotta itself. Pistachios gelato is also good.Service: they got our order wrong once. And the serving of the food is a bit slower that ideal. We had to wait for about 5 min between courses of dishes.Overall: desserts are good. Bites and appetizers are fun, but pastas are just disappointing and boring. Not worth the hype or the money.
Alecia Breeggemann: We signed up for the bar wait list knowing it would be up to two hours. Had a drink across the street and got in after an hour as others had canceled. It was amazing. And we are picky when spending more than our standard restaurant budget. The bar service was great. The bartenders were knowledgeable and attentive. We had the cauliflower soup, the beef tortelli, a seafood special, and the cheese plate. The stand out was the cauliflower soup. Incredibly creamy with flavorful accompaniments. Everything else was wonderful as well. The total after tip was about 200 with two (excellent) cocktails and two wines. More than we generally spend but well worth it, even taking into account the 3.5 mile walk from downtown.
T. Z: The food is good. For antipasti I had erbazzone it was impressive. Portion is small tho for its price.Recommended dishes Antipasti …More
Dana Blackman Brown: Gulia was an amazing experience. We started out with a ricotta and spinach pie (tbh it was underwhelming), and our mains were rich and delicious. The real star of the show was the dessert. The affagoto rocked our world. I would say the pasta was great, but not earth shattering. It’s a treat to have great Italian food on this side of the River. That being said — the North End has spots that definitely beat Gulia.
George Esper: La comida es excelente, pero demasiado caro. Gastamos 245 dólares entre 4, solo pedimos 4 platos principales y 2 entradas. Nos cobraban cada recarga de gaseosa.
Saul Lustgarten: One of the best italian places in Cambridge, the home made pasta is delicious, great atmosphere and drinks.
Ryan D: Got dinner here for the second time last night and it was wonderful. Great food and drinks and super friendly staff! Definitely on the pricey side, but worth it for special occasions.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Nat Tangpipith: Love this restaurant! Made reservation for dinner at 5:30pm and despite long line when the restaurant open, we were promptly seated. Our waiter is friendly and food came out fast. Great quality ingredient, flavor combination, and fast/attentive service. Good place for family, friends, romantic night out, and many more. Glad we had a chance to visit this gem in Boston! Note: Warm Semolina Cake highly recommended.
Laura Perry: Excellent food. Amazing service. Staff able to address a food allergy with confidence!
Mark Miller: The steak was delicious as was the parppadelle. They have a great bar and make a great Toronto. Marliave: what do users think?
Elise Anderson: Unfortunately Closed. Very sad. Will miss this place, everything was delicious. A true Boston icon. Thanks to the owners and hope you can open again!
Justin Kwiatkowski: It is closed, out of business. Formally a great restaurant. Now just a memory.
Rebecca Flores-Mantilla: A favorite spot in Boston for a great meal, fabulous drinks and beautiful ambience.
T Jacobson: French food, my favorite treat. Stopped in on a Tuesday. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. It has a cool atmosphere.
Gary Tessier: Have attended Dinner there for over 40 plus years. I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. PERIOD. OUTSTANDING. TO THE UTMOST 💗💗
Kymberleigh Lamson: Absolutely delicious food!!!
Lefkowitz Galdamez: great food and service. I will be back again
Adit Vaddi: Went for a birthday dinner for restaurant week in March. Therefore, we were on a fixed menu. Service was a bit low despite the restaurant being a bit empty but our server was great and energetic once he got to us.The appetizers with the escargot and the beef were to die for. They appear to have gone for the cheaper items for the main menu. The duck dish was tasteless but the silver lining is the how accommodating the restaurant was. Upon mentioning the duck dish, they quickly offered to switch it out for another main course item of my preference. the salmon they brought in was very good. flavourful and crispy on one side. The Sunday gravy was quite good as well.I made the mistake of ordering a cheese board with a chocolate truffle for dessert. Tasty, filling but a bit pricey
Katie T: Excellent food, atmosphere and service.
Judy Jacques: Always a stellar meal
Bobby Sadler: Great food. Nice waitresses.
Courtney Taylor: Sub par oyster happy hour
Samantha Camacho: The food is amazing and the drinks are phenomenal
Erin Martin: Carpaccio was great, oysters were bitter. Beef wellington had great meat. Service was friendly and helpful.
T C: Fantastic food quality. Great atmosphere and one of the oldest in Boston. A true hidden gem of our city.
COURTNEY DERDERIAN: We love it here. Delicious food, great atmosphere. We go every restaurant week!
Gerald Manning: The food was terrific. Calamari was cooked to perfection.
Simon-Pierre Roy: Great service, great food, amazing dessert. I suggest to try the oysters!
Felipe Estrada-Prada: Good cocktails and great service.
Peter Michaud: I’m giving it a 2 because the friendly waitstaff tried to make things right, but this meal was disgusting. I ordered the steak-frites, and had to send it back because the butter they put on the steak was spoiled. I ordered ravioli to replace it, which was hard and crunchy at the corners like it hadn’t been boiled long enough. The table bread was something akin to Wonder Bread with no crust. They also had no Dijon mustard - what kind of French restaurant doesn’t have Dijon? The upstairs room has zero character (unlike downstairs) and comically bad art on the walls. The servers did their best, but couldn’t make up for the abysmal cuisine.
Dave Ekrem: I love that it's been here a while, and I really enjoyed the decor. The service was great. But the food itself was just okay. I had steak frites and the steak was all right and the fries were not to my taste. They didn't have a whole lot of flavor. We will be back though! I want to try this place again. And I definitely think it's worth checking out if you haven't been there before. It's got a nice "Olde Boston" feel to it.
