Though it may appear small, it's packed with so many supplies and the staff are super helpful if you can't find something.

Went in today to get copies of keys made and the guy at the desk (haven’t run into him before) nearly bit off my head and was incredibly rude (All I said to him was “good morning”). I’d prefer to support a shop in our neighborhood but in the future would prefer to go to Home Depot or Warren in the South End (prices are better there too).

They had plenty and price was same or less than listing on empty spaces elsewhere. Parking is often a challenge so I don't expect to get close but even at South Bay there's often a walk from parking spot to Home Depot.

Scott Cohen: I just had an absolutely insane interaction at this store. I asked if they carried pocket knives/ multitools which they didn’t, so I asked if I could borrow a pair of scissors to cut a piece of moleskin ( I was walking around the city and getting a blister, just needed for quite literally one second). The guy at the counter (redhead guy if management is reading this) proceeded to give me the hardest time, insinuated that I was from somewhere undesirable, and then when I commented on his rudeness he then went on to name call and make personally offensive statements. Truly disgusting behavior.
Anthony Conway: I've had several keys copied by the locksmith (on separate occasions) and I estimate that at most 1/5 has worked. At least they gave me my money back. The store is alright, but I'd avoid going to their locksmith.

Aamer Ahmed: Beware of buying any of their products. Many of their merchandise are defective and that is why they have a no return policy (less than 7 days for in store credit only). I bought a heater which did not work (no power at all), and a power cord which stopped working shortly after. Their products are over price and they make a profit off of selling used and repackaged items that should not be sold. The heater I purchased is a small one you place by your feet which would cost $10-20 anywhere else, but was $50 here.

Selki Yang: They sell the lousiest products at the highest price you could possibly imagine. This should be some kinda dollar store, anything in the store doesn't look or feel like above 10 bucks. If you have a discerning insight, you will know what I mean. Go AMAZON or elsewhere and save your time, emotion and money.
Nilla: Convenient because it’s the only hardware store in the area. But it’s super expensive (even for Boston) and I have yet to have a good experience with the staff. Seriously, I think it’s a requirement to be unnecessarily rude to work there. I avoid it when I can

McGuire: I visited this location yesterday to inquire about a replacement sofa leg—I immediately went to the help desk and asked specifically if they had *anything* resembling the leg and was told No and that I should go to Bed Bath and Beyond by one of the associates in a snarky tone. Suffice to say, I was less than thrilled with their demeanor.However, I decided to go searching myself and found something that would work but it was too long. I approached another associate in the lumber section if it was at all possible to get the replacement piece I found cut down to size as I don’t own a saw. The associate named Denny was absolutely amazing—he was able to cut the piece to the length I needed and did so in a kind and compassionate manner. He didn’t make me feel like I was an irritation or asking too much. Now my couch has all the necessary legs thanks to Denny!

When it's bad, it can tarnish even the best Saturday. After a number of disappointing experiences at this store, I wrote a review and gave it a 2 Star rating.In the last two months, I was walking by and decided to look inside to see if things were the same.To give credit where it is due, the shelves looked better stocked. A lot better stocked in fact. I walked in and spoke to a few of the employees who were new faces to me. They were helping the owner stock the shelves but showed an interest in helping me find what I was looking for and were knowledgeable about what they were selling. I was pleasantly surprised.I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. From reception, to selection, from assistance to sales, I think this shop is making an effort to improve things. I appreciate that and wanted to make sure I updated this review accordingly.THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL, 2-STAR REVIEW:[I’ve been several times in the last the two months. I used to go often when I lived in the area. The biggest issue is the staff who seem to unconcerned with customer inquiries but never seem to be busy doing anything else.The selection is fairly limited on many items. There are skus missing from standard items that don’t seem to get replaced. There are fewer and fewer items each time I go. It’s not for a lack of space - the place is half empty.I’d recommend extra 10 minute drive to any other hardware store would be well worth your time.]

Doug Johnson: The TV on Beacon St. is a very poorly managed store. I'm involved in wildlife rehab and buy about $50 of supplies every three weeks or so and have done so for years. The supplies need to be ordered from the warehouse by the store, but very frequently the orders would not arrive because the store forgot to enter the order. At one point, without raising my voice, cursing, or being insulting, I told the manager that this really caused problems for me because it would put me in the lurch for feed while I tried to cover my needs while I waited for the order to be placed. I asked him if there was a way that we could figure out to make sure that my order was actually placed when I called. To my surprise, the manager very abruptly and rudely told me to find another store and then promptly hung up on me. First they were deeply unprofessional by not placing the orders, then sometimes when it would come in, they'd put it on the retail shelves where anyone could get it, they'd never call me when it arrived, and then the manager hangs up on me and tells me that I'll need to find another store for what I need - and all because I asked him, again fairly politely, that we find a way to make sure that my orders actually get placed. I really think this store is very unprofessional and it all comes down to the manager. He seems very surly and unhappy with his job and how his life has turned out.I have since found another TV whose manager loved the fact that I do animal rescue and actually ordered more than I need so that he'll always have it on hand and will order more when my stock runs low. It's great to be able to continue to do business with TV, but this time with a well run store with a very nice manager.

On Sat we needed an extra quart to finish the job.I went in on Saturday first person I asked was genuinely not interested in helping at all. Just really seemed like I interrupted his day. Found someone kind enough to help. I had the color name and even took a picture of the recipe on the gallon we bought on Friday.I got home with the extra quart. Started painting, and guess what? Not the same color.Now I don't know who messed up. The lady on Friday who sold to my wife. Or the nice dude on Saturday. All I know is if you can't mix paint then don't sell paint.Will not be going back there for a battery let alone anything else.
