They operate with 1 business objective, making a dollar and falling back on the contract! Customer service and empathy are not part of that business model!!Back story? Absolutely! My Fiancee and I had a date set of June 11th of this year, and Mr. Omari Hayles of “Disc Jockey Boston” was set to DJ the event. Needless to say that was railroaded by Covid-19.When my Fiancee and I, realized that it was coming down to the wire and no progress had been made regarding Covid and every day life, we made the extremely difficult decision to postpone the event.As we started to reach out to Friends, Family & Vendors to break the news. Friends and Family expressed their deepest sympathies, while vendors either refunded deposits or rescheduled with us.However, Mr. Omari Hayles of Disc Jockey Boston not only refused to refund our deposit but refused to reschedule to next June. Stating that a contract is a contract, and if We wanted to put our deposit towards another event it had to be before 3/31/21 as referenced in the contract.I find this to be completely unsympathetic, and the fact that they even named the company “Disc Jockey Boston” appalling. That is not what BOSTON stands for.So if you choose to do business with this company for your event, Just understand that the contract is IRON CLAD...NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!!!

For our most recent event at The Revere Hotel Convention Center in Boston we were inviting over 250+ guests including several ""partners"" and special guests from around the country and needless to say, we were under pressure to make this Game Show, One to IMPRESS.After speaking with Barry and seeing their video portfolio and Game Show Setups we knew they were ""The One"". We hired PT Events Group for our Game Show Entertainment and they knocked it out of the park. Not only did they produce it like a real TV Game Show (with 3 Electronic Podium Systems, Table Buzzers, Lighting, Sound Bites, Professional Game Show Host/MC with engaging Trivia, etc.)... but they also helped us with two different versions of KPMG Trivia breakouts. Not only were his prices reasonable, his value far exceeded the cost. We especially appreciated his attention to detail – including in learning the precise pronunciations of everyone’s names – and the overall care and dedication with which he approaches his work. Even though we hired him a bit last-minute, his systems made it easy on us. He gave us a comprehensive form to fill out with all of the details, including songs we wanted and didn’t want, and we had an in-person meeting and a phone call with him to go over everything. We didn’t hire him to do the music for the ceremony, because we were just renting audio equipment, but Matt saved the day when we realized shortly before the ceremony began that the equipment was never delivered to the venue. We are grateful he was there to set up so early to make sure everything was in place for the reception, since that meant he was able to move one of his speakers to the ceremony site so we could have amplification. Even more, he did this kindly and enthusiastically, even though it was beyond the scope of the job we hired him for. Throughout the reception, Matt struck the perfect balance of making announcements when necessary and helping to keep the flow of the evening going, but without being overbearing or over-the-top (which I’ve definitely experienced with DJs at other weddings). He also was adept at reading the room and playing the songs on our list in a way that felt natural and drew people out onto the dance floor when necessary. Hiring Matt was truly one of the best wedding planning decisions we made.
