Lauren Van: This South End sammy would give 10 stars if he could. Brad and the team at Dogs R Us have been absolutely wonderful from the very start. I moved to the South End with Telly, my 11 year old Samoyed, several months ago and knew I needed to begin my search for a dog walker/sitter in the city. I came across Dogs R Us online and could not believe the reviews I was reading. Needless to say, they certainly live up to those great reviews and more. Brad, the owner, is not only professional but very responsive and reliable when planning walks or overnight stays. Vanessa, Telly’s walker, is one of the most compassionate dog lovers I have ever met. Sometimes, I think Telly is happier to see Vanessa walk in the door than me. I highly recommend Dogs R Us to my fellow neighbors for both walking and boarding as your fur baby will be in good hands.

Alexandra Adam: Our dog Picco loves Dogs R Us! We have been using Brad and his team's services since he was a small pup. Picco has the best time at his playgroup a few days a week, and always comes home tired and happy. Brad is very responsive, accommodating, and reliable. Cindy Simonides: Oh, Penny just loves her dog walkers, and we do too! From our first meeting with Brad, where our normally aloof Rhodesian Ridgeback typically gives the cold shoulder to stranger humans, Penny recognized the care and affection in Brad and "investigated" him almost immediately. Brad was very clear about the process of getting Penny set up for walks, accommodated our schedule well and made suggestions, and best of all, Penny got a holiday weekend with Brad when we were unable to take her along on ours! Brad and Jesse are always on time, completely reliable and trustworthy and COMMUNICATE very well, which is so important. Also, Penny is a big dog and needs to do some time off leash, and Brad and Jesse were able to work with us on a good plan for her to be able to do that as well as to have some playtime with other dog buddies periodically, which is so important, especially for a large breed who likes to play...with giant, strong paws...
Michelle Boyne: I can't recommend Dogs R Us enough. I had both of my dogs stay at Dogs R Us. They were comfortable from the minute they got there. I received pictures and updates every day. They even took my little guy to the Apple Store in Derby. I had to stay an extra night out of town and it was no problem. I will definitely call Brad and Jess to take care of my dogs. They are accommodating, caring and kind.
Megan O'Kipney: The owner and team at Dogs R Us are the best! We have a Vizsla puppy that we have been sending to play group a few days a week with Dogs R Us since he was 4 months old. Brad and our walker, Robert, are extremely reliable and always able to accommodate late-notice requests or cancellations. They use an online app for scheduling and invoicing that is extremely convenient. Great experience with the team and would recommend to anyone looking for dog walking or dog watching services!
Julie Macrae: When we moved back to the Boston area earlier this year I was thankful for DogsRUs and their coming alongside to figure a daily walking routine for our two Boston Terriers. The daily walks and positive reinforcement from the dog walker no doubt has helped them become better behaved during the walks. Catherine Ahearn: We started sending our dog out for playgroup with Dogs R Us to help with her socialization. She's a shy pup, but she LOVES it, has a great time, and comes back completely exhausted. We appreciate knowing she's being well looked after while having a good time and learning how to interact with other dogs and people.
Hannah Zellers: We've been using Dogs R Us for dog walking services for about a year. Service is reliable, and I appreciate that Brad reaches out about public holidays so that we don't forget to cancel walks when we'll be home. I like that we have a regular walker, so our dog was able to settle into daily walks from a familiar face quickly. Brad is easy to get a hold of and was very willing to answer questions and concerns that we when we were first starting to use his services. Easy request & cancellation process through BetterWalker, easy monthly payments through Venmo, and overall a very convenient service.
Dean Gillespie: We got a puppy last December and have been using Brad and his staff ever since. Not only do they do walks, but they do overnight's which is very helpful if you have kids. This past weekend, we asked Brad if he could watch our puppy last minute and he did! They also offer training sessions which is very helpful, and playgroups where the puppies can interact with each other. They are always very responsive by text message and give great advice as well when it comes to training and taking care of your dog. They also have an easy to use portal system where you can book your walks, training, and even grooming pickup and drop off!

My 3 year old yellow lab loves going to his playgroup each day and Brad is always there in a pinch when we need an extra walk or someone to watch him when we’re traveling. Would highly recommend!
Mollie Dunn: My husband and I have recently become “ empty nesters” and have relocated into Boston with our two canine daughters. Roxie and Evie, our two black labs, 10 years and 3 years have helped make this transition fun and less lonely. City life was a big transition for us, primarily just learning to walk on leash as opposed to being free off leash. We were nervous at the beginning but Dog r Us quickly put us at ease. We had a lengthy interview with Brad who assured us our girls would be in good hands. We have loved all of our walkers and more importantly the girls love them as well. They have adjusted to city walking quickly and we feel so comfortable knowing they are in good hands while we are away. I highly recommend Dogs r Us!

Sam van Kalkeren: Boston Dog Butlers does an amazing job grooming our dog. We take her about every 6 weeks for a groom, and she looks great each time. We've tried several different groomers, but Boston Dog Butlers is the best we've been to, and we are very happy with the work they do. Our dog is shy, but they do a great job with her.

Scott Sullivan: Rarely will anyone work with a group of professionals like the Dog Butlers, from the owners, to the managers, to the dog walkers themselves. They are on top of everything, always. They care for our 14 year old little old lady of a dog each and every day and often overnight when travel cannot be avoided. They anticipate needs, keep you totally informed with all the latest tech (their app is simple to use), and provide specialized services (like grooming!). They are full service and fully committed to a job well done. Oh, and they love our dog, they really do!
Ashley Parry: We are so pleased with the service at Boston Dog Butlers! Our 10-month-old puppy, Arty, always comes back from his grooming appointments with staff member Cassidy looking (and smelling) great! We love that they use all natural products during grooming services. And, they are great communicators about coordinating pick up times. On a recent walk in the neighborhood, Arty sat outside Boston Dog Butlers whining, hoping he could go inside for another grooming appointment! We take his behavior as evidence that their staff members are attentive and loving toward our pup.
Catherine Hyden: BDB is the best! I’ve gone to them for 4 years and they have consistently provided incredible service with such kind employees. My dog gets nervous during appointments, but she always leaves happy. This place is truly incredible. I’ve moved yearly since coming to the city, but I’d drive anywhere for the service at Boston Dog Butlers! Mercedes specifically is my go-to groomer, she’s the best.
Juliana Shulman-Laniel: We needed our Copley to get a quick partial groom (basically, he needed a better quality bath than we could give and a butt area trim to keep clean!) and we were surprised to find so few local groomers offer this service. Luckily, Boston Dog Butlers was happy to accommodate us and got us in quickly! Not only did he come back with his nails trimmed and his butt clean, but he smells amazing, is all fluffed out/adorable, and is just generally beautiful. They were communicative, easy to schedule, and gave us a 40-minute heads up when it was time to get him (and stuck to the original timing promised). A great experience all around and we look forward to bringing Copley back for future groomings.

Most importantly, my dog always comes home happy, clean and looking cute. I recommend their grooming services especially if you have a doodle breed with that fluffy hair they tend to have.

Mark Watkins: Boston Dog Butlers has been taking great care of my boxer Ruby. I can tell you that Ruby loves it when they come to pick her up. Tom takes her on her daily walks and she's been going on weekly hikes with Brittany both who give her a lot of care, attention and make sure she's taken care of. I am very comfortable knowing that she's in very capable hands.

A S: We had a wonderful grooming experience here with Melissa.Update: it’s now been a few months, and we are frustrated that Melissa does not cut our dog’s nails properly even after we have asked her to several times in the last few grooming sessions, and brought the topic up with her personally. Every time our dog has come back, his nails are so long that we can hear them on the floor; they don’t seem like they’ve been cut at all.We are considering taking our business elsewhere.

debbie collier: We boarded our dog with MonumenTails over Thanksgiving weekend and it was a great experience!! Our dog stayed at their house which meant she got lots of love all weekend. They sent us multiple pictures and were accommodating with pick up and drop off plans. It is so comforting to know that we have a great boarding option. sstiassni86: I can not recommend Monument Tails enough! I met the owner, Elizabeth, a few years ago. She is wonderful, responsible and trustworthy and these attributes trickle down to her company. Monument Tails cares for our beloved family pet, Bobo. Bobo is a mature black cat and requires insulin injections twice a day and a lot of love. First, the cost to have Monument Tails care for her is so reasonable! My family and I went away for a little over a week and I was pleasantly surprised when we received the bill. We have had other caregivers and companies care for Bobo before and it was more expensive and they didn't do half of what Monument Tails offers per visit. Not only is the cost a benefit, but you get great care! Monument tails sends you a detailed email of the visit with photos of your pet each time they come. They even watered my plants and took in mail. Whenever we return home from our trips, we find all the pet supplies cleaned and neatly set aside on the table with care. I was really touched when I saw this the first time I worked with them. Elizabeths and her crew at Monument tails do a stellar job. I feel so comfortable and reassured leaving bobo in the care of Monument Tails. I am so grateful for them!! Thank you Elizabeth and Monument Tails!
Amanda Ripa: I live in Medford and I have only used them once. I was in a bit of a pickle this last 4th of July weekend because I was invited to the cape for the day and desperately needed someone to walk my dog while I was there because I would be out for 14 hours. I was able to make arrangements with them the Thursday before. It was a life saver! They have an app that you can schedule and pay them through. You also get an update when they arrive, a little message and picture of your dog once they leave... all through the app! So glad I found this company.

We've had a great experience with the service and with our pup's regular walker, Sean. When we've been at work, we've known we can always rely on Sean showing up on time and giving Riggins not just a dog walk but undivided love, attention and care. We love getting pictures of them out around town or running around the Monument! Riggins runs to the door, tail wagging, whenever Sean shows up. We can't recommend Monumentails enough if you're looking for dog walking, care or boarding in the Charlestown area.

Kristy Daykin: I used Monumentails for my Boston Terrior for roughly 7 years. Tobin absolutely LOVED all of the walkers and we were so sad to move away. Not only were they extremely professional and reliable but they were available at all times whenever I was in a pinch at work and needed a last minute walk. Jessica Cooper: Monumentails is the absolute best! The care that our dog Marvin recieved from them, daily, for almost 4 years was more than we every could have dreamed of. They were smart and educated on the nuances of Marvin in certain climates, due to his smooshed face (French Bulldog) and we always trusted them to keep Marvin safe! We boarded with our dog walker, Patricia, several times and she is considered to be part of the family. The PetCheck Technology that the company uses makes it easy to book and cancel appointments, and get updates and pictures of your dogs walk. I wish there was an option to give 15 stars. I cannot recommend monumentails enough!
Matt Gibbs: LOVE Monumentails! They are an amazing walking service and will love your dogs like their own! They use an app for scheduling and recording walks so you get an update and photos after your walks, and automatic weekly payments so it’s super easy to manage. They helped us raise our goldendoodle from the first couple weeks we brought him home. We especially loved that for established clients they could offer boarding with one of their walkers which was great to know he was with someone at their home instead of a kennel for occasional weekend trips. Every walker we had was awesome and caring, you often get the same walker which is nice. We were sad to move out of their service area since they were amazing. Thank you so much for everything the last couple years!
John Bufe: I can not say enough good things about MonumenTails. They have been extremely accommodating, flexible, and helpful with walks, sitting, and park play time for my golden retriever puppy for the last year and a half (starting when he was about 12 weeks old). As a puppy, they offered multiple potty breaks/play times throughout each day, which was a huge help for making sure he had attention and a potty schedule while I was at work. As he got older and needed to expend more energy, the hour long walks and park plays during the day were amazing opportunities for him to socialize with other dogs and wear himself out. My dog loves all of the walkers and is so excited to see them every day. I highly recommend them if you're looking for an affordable and reliable service. Note - I live in the Somerville area and I know they service Charlestown as well.

They've taken care of my husky for around 5 years and are quick to respond, trustworthy professionals who care very much about all the dogs they take care of. Meghan Hayes: The Happy Paws team has been amazing. Our dog has been walked by a few different team members over the time that we’ve used Happy Paws and each member is incredibly professional and reliable. They are always on time and our dog is always returned after her 50 minute buddy walk happy and exhausted. Kai, the owner, is super responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns you may have. We’ve tried a few dog walking services now and Happy Paws has been by the far the best experience for us. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a walker in the Southie area!
Michelle Kelly: Not only does our baby boy, Rudy, love Happy Paws…we love them, too! Rudy gets daily walks from Matt and sometimes Kai. Rudy waits for Matt everyday at the door and is so happy to see Matt along with all his dog pals! We can’t say enough great things about the company and the staff. They are simply excellent! Rudy also goes for extended sleepovers with Happy Paws when we travel. We always joke that he is mad when it’s time to come home because he loves Happy Paws more than us haha! Amy Zhang: Absolutely love the Happy Paws team! Kai is always very easy to communicate with and responsive. We've been with them since 2021 and have used the buddy walk and overnight sleepover services with the team. Korra, our older adopted puppy who came to us almost 30lbs overweight, is way more healthy now, comfortable with other dogs, and adores each of the team she's been with (Matt, Joey, Emily, and Kai so far). Their service reports are super helpful (they include a picture!) and Korra has lost over 20 lbs since we started so we know they're definitely keeping her moving :) She's also is a bit shy around other dogs and Kai worked with the team to make sure she walked with a similar temperament pack. They put a lot of though and care into all the puppies and I highly recommend this team to everyone in the area.

I have a 2-year-old springer spaniel with a lot of energy. His midday group walk helps keep him mellow. They are also really flexible around scheduling and last minute requests. Matthew Stachler: We have been using Anna and Dog Walking Do to pet sit our cats and large saltwater aquarium for over 5 years. They have always seemed to do a good job and were always willing to accommodate different needs as they come up. Trying to take care of a 200 gallon saltwater aquarium system can be intimidating when you don't have a lot of experience with them but they always followed my directions carefully and were always quick to get in touch if there were any questions or concerns. Additionally, our cats are on the older side (17 y/o when passed the other is 20 y/o and going strong). Anyway, it is not always easy to get him to take his required medication and when the way we suggested to do it stopped working, they came up with a new better way that we are still using (this also required them to go out and by new food).

She was allowing one of her employees(dog walker) to let her friends take keys to clients house and pick up dogs and be paid under the table for it. I would not want someone taking care of my dog that wasn't employed through the company I'm paying my money too. She's forgetful, constantly making mistakes and behind on schedules and lacks employees to do the dog walking and sitting therefore causing lots of last minute cancellations on her parts. Very unreliable.

Mary is very easy to work with and very responsive. Our first meeting was with Jen and she was great with our dog and asked all the right questions. Sean was our main dog walker and he was so caring with our dog - she is 12 years old and he never got annoyed with how slow she needed to walk. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of quality care you get. We will greatly miss their services in the suburbs!
Kay Fontaine: Happy Pet Care has been my go to pet care service for 5 years. Mary has helped me with my 2 cats, then my dog, a second dog and a third dog all along. I've gotten potty breaks, walks, vacation care and runs for my pets over the years. My needs have changed over time and Mary has worked with me to adjust the schedule as needed. A few of my pups can be difficult, so Mary and her team of walkers has worked with me to help the dogs get adjusted. I always looked forward to the notes I got about the walks or potty breaks when I got home from work. When I went on vacation, I got nice notes from the cat sitters and Mary gave me updates on my pups. Mary always ensured my pets remained safe. For instance, my cats need to be separated from my dogs. Mary made sure that the instructions I left were strictly followed on the days we returned from vacations. There's so much more to say, but I can't fit it all here. I will end with this note. I have always trusted Mary and her employees and it was the best decision I could have made for my pets. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Mary and Happy Pet Care as I moved all of us across the country. You can be sure you are making a great decision by choosing Happy Pet Care!

Mary is always so responsive, kind and flexible - which is so important when you have a dog. Our walker is mostly either Sophia, Jen, or Mary herself. My pup can be nervous around new people when her humans aren't around, and they have all been wonderfully patient with our pup. Mary is always very responsive, and easy to work with, even with last minute changes. Additionally, her prices have not gone up, while other services we use for our pup have. The dog walks are high quality with a great price, and a lot of flexibility (because life happens). We're sad that our pup won't have them for her mid day walks while we're at work after we move.

They have been walking my dog since he was 8 weeks old, and 3 years later, we couldn't imagine having a dog in the city without them. They are extremely accessible, great with communication and scheduling/canceling walks is a breeze. My husband and I both work full time, with frequent travel, and they've saved us many times when our workdays or schedules have not gone as planned. We've also used their boarding service while on vacation, which has also been excellent. Most importantly, my dog absolutely LOVES them, and I know the feeling is mutual. I know they treat my dog as if he were their own, which is all you can really ask for. I would highly recommend them if you need a walker in Boston!
