After not getting a call that my puppy evaluation was cancelled to super rude customer service from the manager when I went the second time to get the evaluation, I've decided this is NOT the place for me. I would not recommend this store. I am not someone who typically writes reviews but since this is dealing with our fur babies I thought it was necessary!

Emily Coleman: the doggy day care is way too overcrowded, the dogs are often kept in crates, and that's to say nothing of the smell in the room. It's also a TINY room for doggy day care. It seems to me the people that staff the doggy day care are not well trained in dealing with dogs, as there have been incidents where dogs were bitten. I definitely do not recommend loyal companion for doggy daycare unless you want your dog in a tiny, smelly room where they spend a lot of time in a crate!

Robert Veneziano: Trying to set up dog care here has been a nightmare. I tried last year, with staffing changes the communication was awful - last minute cancellations, rebooking for 2-3 weeks out, phone calls not returned, etc. I tried again, sending them paperwork in on 6/10, asking to confirm receipt. No reply. I called about three weeks later to check in if they received my email (is a simple reply in email too much to ask?), I was told I would get a call back, nothing. I called again on 7/12 to check in. Amari was robotic, and not friendly at all. I asked her if my docs were received, and her reply was they could see me this week for a temperment test. Great, but that's not what I asked. I said I was not ready for that yet, as my schedule this week did not allow, but asked a second and then third time, were my docs received via email and she finally confirmed. Told her I would call back to schedule a temperment test another time when my schedule allowed and she practically hung up on me. There are so many other options in town for daycare with better customer service. Not sure why I kept trying these folks again....and again. I should have given up after the first attempt and took it as s sign! Go elsewhere for a place that only specializes in daycare - my guess is it's way better run and a much larger space for dogs to run around.

Unimpressed with the quality of the groom and unimpressed with the service. I also placed an order online and it turned out that 2/3 of what I ordered was actually out of stock.

Liani Wang: The staff are the best people and animal lovers, ever. My puppy's tail got slammed by the door and started to bleed. The staff immediately came over with cleaning solution and helped stop the bleeding. They were so reassuring to me and my pup. They recommended I call my vet and patiently let me wait in the store while I figured out where to take him. They even recommended a nearby animal hospital to take him. They provided me with all the information and everything I needed to get him the vet care he needed. They are SO kind and compassionate. I am so grateful!

Dee Dube: I went in for the first time to buy my 1-year-old puppy some supplies and birthday presents. The staff was lovely and friendly but the birthday cupcake I bought didn’t make it into my bag. I called the store to see if I could pick it up the next day since they were closing soon. Amari answered and had Uber Eats drop off the cupcake (and a few extra goodies!) right to my door. I appreciate it so much! I wanted to make this birthday special since this puppy is my first, and they really helped make an almost sad situation right. Thanks y’all! I will be back!

Robert Weinerman: Make sure you call ahead before going to the store. Their current hours according to the sign on the door on 10 AM to 5 PM every day (which is not what appears on their website). We went at 4:45 PM on Friday to use the self-wash and were unable to do so due to the new hours. We also went at 1:30 PM on Saturday and the doors were locked and the lights were out.We regret purchasing a package of self wash slots in advance as it is not clear we'll get to use them.We really like the store, but won't go back without calling first.

anna02150: l was a steady customer for grooming here until Heather was there. The whole staff was excellent there and I was super happy customer. The place is not inexpensive but I did not mind paying extra because there was no double booking and my dog did not have to into a cage.I had the grooming scheduled every 5 weeks till the end of the year. Therefore I thought I will try the new groomer. When I arrived with my dog for grooming appointment another customer has arrived as well. When I have asked the groomer if he was alone to groom both dogs he said yes. He stated that my dog would go into cage while he was grooming the other dog. Than I have explained that my dog gets sick if he goes into cage and if it was ok I would come back with my dog in an hour until he finished the other dog. He refused it. The rest of the staff is not the same either. The ones that I have dealt with recently are not friendly at all. Well what can I say a LOYAL COMPANION lost a Loyal customer.

Much cheaper online. Pet stores must be friendly. My free tip for you as a project manager: be friendly and respect your customers. You are just a pet store not Tiffany! Maybe they were mad at me because I was wearing a mask! Horrible behavior! I am surprised a man of that age has never learned basic courtesy. He was also nicer to anyone who looked Irish.

I didn’t have her leash or food or water for my dog and was stressed being belief. I want prepared for the car situation. At one point on my 6 hour travel home I stopped to let my car cool down and parked outside of the pet boutique. I stopped inside as I waited and the woman working was amazing. Her name is Marissa She lent me a leash so I could take Juno for a quick walk. I bought cookies and food and she even gave me a paper bowl for water. Two words to sayTHANK YOU

Clarisa Carruthers: I was a little hesitant to take my dog to a grooming appointment here given a couple of older, not-so-great reviews, but I’m so happy I decided to try D’tails grooming! David, one of the groomers, did an incredible job grooming my senior pup. He was patient with her ailments and gave my pup the perfect cut. Pricing was also extremely fair for Boston!My experience at this boutique was awesome. My dog doesn’t like dogs so I can’t speak to the doggy daycare, but the boutique owner and the grooming services surpassed my expectations. It was an extremely pleasant experience and we can’t wait to go back! My other pup who wasn’t being groomed even got a few free treats to take home :)

Stephanie L'Ecuyer: DO NOT GO THERE FOR GROOMING. I’ve been a loyal client for the past year and would go every 6 weeks (and spend a whooping $165 for two dogs) until yesterday. It was the second instance in a row where they came home with some sort of cut, but this time around it was a lot worse than usual. (See pictures) One of my dog was whimpering after the pick up and had to bring her to the vet the next day. I really do not understand what happened over the past two months (never had issues before) and disappointed to not have heard back from the owner the next day as promised by the technician. Go there at your own risks!

Eliana Paniagua: UPDATE: After I posted this original ad, I received a call from Susans personal cell. It was disturbing that she was calling and not her manager. She started yelling at me and saying that she did not appreciate this review. I told her I would post it again and again. The things that happened there were unprofessional and unsafe. The calling and yelling at me on my personal phone is even worse. I asked where the manager was and she said standing right behind me and I asked to speak to her and she said she’s on vacation. Susan is an unprofessional liar. I cannot believe she called to tell and insult me. She did not even try to apologize.Original AD:I took Ducky to be groomed this morning. I felt okay about it considering Lucky had met this groomer a month prior. We went to the grooming shop (that month prior) and spoke to Susan about his fear-aggression. She showed me exactly what she would do and promised she didn’t have a single concern about grooming him. On the day of the appt., I showed up 45 mins early so that I could give Lucky time to calm down in a crate. Susan came out once I arrived with a flat rope. I thought she was going to use it as a leash during the grooming since that’s typical. No, she asked me to tie it around his mouth as a muzzle. I was shocked and admitted that I wasn’t the most comfortable with tying a rope around my fearful dogs mouth and nose area. I asked her if she had a proper muzzle and she mentioned that she had a couple, but that it would be quick and I should just tie the rope on him since she couldn’t. I was so uncomfortable. I finally asked her if she wanted me to take him home instead and she said yes and began to exclaim that she was beyond nervous to give him his bath without the rope being tied around his mouth. Education time: A rope around a dog’s mouth is NEVER safe for the dog or the handler. A rope could be tied too tightly. It could slip loose. He could open his mouth and bite if not tied tight enough. It’s not a proper or safe tool. So, that’s why I trained my dog to wear a proper cage muzzle and cloth muzzle. Either would’ve sufficed. Susan refused to show me a proper muzzle or allow me to put one on. I’m shocked that they’re still in business considering how unprofessional they are. They take months to book with and tie ropes around their scared dogs mouths. A ROPE. I called afterward to speak to an owner because I was concerned about the safety of the dogs there. I was told to call at some other point in the week. Wild. Couldn’t even communicate the proper time to call back to discuss what happened. So unprofessional and unsafe. Through adopting Lucky, I’ve learned so much about proper handling a dog. I’ve never heard of a dog professional who would suggest a rope (flat slip lead in this case) as a muzzle.

My dog is quite fearful of dryers and hates baths and they were not phased by this and had many tools to help make her more comfortable. We havent had great grooming experiences in the past and they did everything exactly as I asked and when I picked my dog up I could tell she wasn’t totally traumatized by the experience. Pawsh was amazing, professional, and they did the most amazing grooming job. She looks so beautiful it actually hurts to look at her. Avery Russell: I've been taking Mickey to Pawsh since he was a puppy and have always been very happy with his grooming. He's six now and I can't imagine going to any other groomer. Mike is a wonderful owner and Jenny always gives Mickey the best cuts. Everyone there is so nice and the dogs always look adorable. This is where you go if you want precision grooming akin to the technical talent and standards you’d want from your own hair stylist or barber. If you’ve ever been asked whether your dog’s current cut is the result of your own grooming experimentation, Pawsh should be your next stop. It took me many attempts to get an appointment, but if you’re persistent, you may find yourself in a lucky position to get an appointment.

Everyone who works there is so kind, they immediately remember not only the dog's name and face but the owner's as well, and they sell the best products at reasonable prices. I have been in Pawsh dozens of times and have never once had an experience that wasn't amazing. Both my and my mom's dogs get groomed there -- two completely different breeds -- and they come out looking amazing every time.

They're very knowledge about what is sold there and aren't on their cell phones while customers are shopping (Petco). In addition it's only one of two pet stores in Boston that sells Orijen pet food. The other shop is actually smaller than this one so the people complaining about it being too small are being disingenuous. What they sell is high quality pet food and carry just as much cat food as they do dog. I refer people there all the time with no one coming back and telling me the had a negative experience. There's always going to be people who are not happy and complaining, it's part of being a business.

Crystal Deleon: I went in this morning to get food for my 5lb toy poodle. My dog was with me, we decided to grab a bag of chicken and grains food (we have already tried a sample). The sales lady mentioned a sale - buy 1 get 1 free. She only had 1 bag of the small breed and kept insisting that I take another regular bag. This was terrible advice because small breed food have smaller kibbles which prevents a small breed dog from choking. Regular food contains regular size kibbles for a regular sized dog. It was obvious she just wanted me to take what was available in the store even if it meant my puppy would choke.I asked her if she could order me another bag of the small kibble and she mentioned that the store already made their orders for the week. I asked her if she could get it from another store and reluctantly she made the call and the other store had it in stock.I left the store with just 1 bag and was told that someone would contact me once the other bag from the other store arrives.Because of the terrible service she provided, I highly doubt that an order was placed and I know there will be some complications when I return to grab the other bagBefore leaving, I asked for the store’s phone number and she told me to check on google. She then wrote the number down and handed me my receipt.While I was in the store, another gentleman walked in with his dog, not wearing a mask and she gave him excellent customer service
