Danielle Crusinberry: Contacted them to do some electric work (which would require drywall patching) and hang a brand new tv above our fireplace. The electrician was awesome! He was able to remove the hanging lights and we have have no issues with the electricity or hanging tv.When it came to patching the drywall and painting a different team came. This involved patching two holes on either side of the tv where lights used to be, then sanding and painting it. The reason I gave 3 stars is they did not cover the back of the tv when they sanded. This made it so a lot of dust collected in the back of the tv, including inside of it through the filter holes. Given the electricians unpacked the tv from the box, and then dust got into the tv the next day, it was just a bit disappointing and we do not know if this will have long term effects on the tv.Services:Installation,Drywall repair,TV mounting

Jeffrey Quach: Rick is great with picking up the phone and responding quickly. I went with him because of his advertised guaranteed work.He came out immediately, which was a blessing, and offered a quick turnaround to fix my door threshold problem.However, the next day after his fix, I discovered the door leaking worse (after a hard rain) than the original threshold.I contacted him via text and he responded by telling me to fix other things besides, such as replacing the weatherstripping, adding caulking, and clearing my gutters. (All good ideas mind you but none of them were giving me issues before). After fixing the issues myself, the door continued to leak in the next storm.I communicated this to him and asked if he could come back out. He responded by saying he wont have any time to come back out to see his work and instead told me to add a storm door.I just wanted a new threshold...not a whole door system. I’m disappointed that Rick did not live up to his work guarantee.

Meliessa Hennessy: We needed tempered glass to be installed in our 180+ year old historic double-hung 66" tall windows for the bathrooms to meet MA code. The team was very efficient and professional, came and took out the window, installed clean insulated temporary boards, came back on-time to re-install and repair the ropes, and even re-hung the window blinds, and left the place clean. The install and glazing was immaculate and their pricing was good. They didn't try to sell us on more than we needed to do and didn't require a minimum order to do the historic window repair. Michelle Murray: Good Window Works was courteous. Unfortunately, they mis-sized the glass replacement they did in a storm window so it broke when it was installed by a professional. They were also unable to figure out how to install the storm window and because it was in a tenant's bedroom, I needed them in and out quickly so ended up having them leave the storm window behind and hired someone else to install it later. Because the glass that GWW had put in the storm was too big, it broke when it was installed and needed to be replaced again. They get 2 stars because they were courteous and seemed to know what they were talking about when they came to do the estimate. As far as performance, I ended up paying them not to to the job correctly and then paying someone else to do it correctly so I cannot recommend them.Service:Window repair

I worked to get quotes to either replace these bay windows or convert them to standard windows. I ended up using this group due to their quote and overall their responsiveness and quality of work. Pavel Ozhogin: I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Saw their van on the street, called, made an appointment, a very knowledgeable estimator came and did a very thorough walkthrough, explained everything, provided estimate right away. The house that we moved into had over a dozen of windows that wouldn't open or wouldn't shut. It was so bad that one of the windows almost fell out when opening. So, we were bracing for $20-30K new windows expenditure. These guys fixed all of the issues, including bunch of rotting wood for 10% of that! All windows work great now, they even painted them. The best thing is that they're honest, explain everything, and don't oversell! So rare to find that combination. Highly recommend to everyone who has issues with windows.Service:Window repair

giorgio mariano: JB Sash were supposed to replace 9 windows in my apartment. The day of the installment they realized, even after two early measurements, that one of the windows was the wrong size. They realized that only after they have already removed my old window and had to reinstall again the old one in a very precarious way. I had to wait more that 6 weeks before having them coming again with the new window. And then what happened? They took the measurement wrong again and came with a wrong window again!!! I thought this was a joke, doing twice the same mistake without any consideration.I have been waiting now more than 3 months to have all windows replaced...Not a good service. If you have alternatives I would suggest to go somewhere else.

Brian Terry: Dealt with them on quite a few occasions. They have been around for a long time, I first dealt with them in the 80’s. They’re all attitude and they think they’re the guarders of windows and doors. In specialized situations they’re difficult to navigate through. When you have to come back to address an issue, they don’t want to hear about it. Their pricing is high. Projects I’ve used them on for doors, I’ve spent hours and hours describing how to manufacture these doors to go into openings. I felt like I should have been there to order the doors myself. My customers I’ve sent there in the past have all came back frustrated. They said they seem like they didn’t want the business.

My latest call was yesterday, and the woman I spoke to, and I wish I could remember her name, couldn't have been more dismissive to what I was looking for. She seemed more interested in steering me away from requesting a quote than actually wanting my business. She basically told me that she had a lot of other larger orders and didn't know when she could get to my smaller request. She was trying to beat around the bust about it, which was even more annoying. Had she been upfront and said "hey, we have a lot of orders ahead of you, it might take X amount of days to get this ordered", I would have actually respected that more, at least it would have been honest. I despise companies that behave like this, and will certainly not be calling them again in the future.

Marie Galinski: Came and looked at the job. Waited a week for the proposal. Called and asked for proposal. Did not return call. Finally they called back and said they did not want the job. Wasted my time and theirs.
Andy Lurie: Our experience with JB Sash and Door has been wonderful. Joe Beattie has been great to work with - he even stopped by our home to confirm measurements. They even went the extra step to introduce me to an installer. All in all, a fantastic experience with some great people!

Mathew Farber: Called today to ask if they install basement doors. The lady on the phone said yes and let me transfer you to our sales team. I told the sales rep what I was looking for and he told me that I'm better off finding a handyman or one man contractor. They don't come out to price and install one door. All we need is a solid basement door in a custom size ordered and installed. What was I thinking calling a window and door place for a door????
