Alessandro Bonatti: In the summer of 2016, we decided to sell our 2BR Back Bay condo while we were away for 6 months. We interviewed several brokers but Marc Russo and his partner Scott Farrell knocked it out of the park. Over the next two months, we saw our condo transformed into a marketable asset through minor renovations that amounted to pennies on the sale price. Throughout the process, Marc and Scott were in constant contact with us, but they also took care of so many details that would have driven us insane. The “concierge style” services they provide are as good as they advertise them—they take on very few clients at a time and (at least in our case) they devote 110% of their time to providing data, leads, advice, and professional negotiation.Needless to say, we were so happy with the sale of our old place that we immediately decided to recruit Marc and Scott to help us buy a new home in the suburbs. In a sellers’ market, the search process was predictably more stressful. During those two years, he gave me the 101 on the market, finances, remodeling, and construction. After showings, he helped me read into the specious rants brokers gave. He saved me from making an impulsive mistake (ie buying an egregiously overpriced back bay micro-condo) and am eternally grateful for his frank advice.When I finally found the condo I wanted in a key location downtown, he used his connections to help me beat an all cash buyer on a gobsmacking place I thought was way out of my reach.What sets him apart from my friends who are brokers is that he has the necessary prowess and connections you need to compete in the fierce Boston market. He's vibrating w/ alacrity, knowledgeable, readily accessible (key especially w/ overseas sellers) and responds to messages pretty much instantaneously. Once we put an offer down, he was a machine on fire and was the impetus to winning our bid.There's only a few people who changed my life completely for the better, and Scott is definitely one of them.

Omid Rabi: Scott Farrell! This man is truly a super agent. I moved to Boston from Los Angeles and was looking to purchase a condo since July of 2013. I contacted several real estate brokers/agents and explained what I wanted. All of them said " we will send you MLS listings, tell me if you like any of them"- then I would keep getting email after email of properties that we didn't like. Finally, Scott contacted me since I had registered on their website. The first time I spoke to him he assured me that he would find my wife and I a condo that suited our needs. He did exactly that. He listened to what I wanted, and searched actively to find the right place. We went to three showing until he showed us the condo we ended up buying. When we left the showing, he knew that this was the one we wanted. Scott asked me to make an offer based on the current price per square foot in that area. I did just that- however, I was quite fearful since the Boston real estate market is soooo crazy (all condos were going for way over asking). I signed the offer, and 10 minutes later I called Scott to increase our bid several thousand dollars. He said "NO- know this broker and I think I'll able to get this condo for you at the original offer amount". I was still worried but decided to lay back. Scott called me an hour later with great news- the condo was ours. However, it didn't end there. My wife and I are both residents in the health field and have very little income. No one wanted to give us a loan! Scott recommended a bank that he thought would most likely approve our loan. Scott not only made the recommendation, he also negotiated our interest rates down tremendously. Even after our loan was finally approved he still maintained daily contact with us to make sure all the funds were properly transferred.Unfortunately, due to the real estate market in Boston most agents don't want to work. This is just not the case for Scott Farrell. He is the hardest working agent in this town. He will not let a good home slip by to other buyers. I still have contact with Scott and he often checks up on us to make sure our move was easy.

A Scott: Marc did an amazing job and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a real estate agent.As a first time home-buyer I didn't know what to expect or even what type of apartment I wanted or what neighborhood I wanted to live in. Marc patiently took me to all types of apartments in South Boston, Back Bay, and the South End over the course of several months until I felt I was ready to buy.After I got a feel for the market and the different neighborhoods in Boston, I decided I wanted an apartment with a garden in the South End.The market right now is kind of crazy and the apartments I was looking at were moving really fast, most of the time even before the open house, and because I was looking for a very specific type of apartment, there weren't that many of them coming on the market in the first place.When Marc heard that an apartment that was really similar to several other apartments that I had showed an interest in was being listed, he called me at work and I rushed over. I had to go back to work after that, but I knew I wanted it, and Marc helped get in the offer by 5pm that day.Marc organized an inspector to come look at the apartment. After the inspector found some faulty wiring, Marc was able to negotiate the price down by $7,500! Needless to say, I was overjoyed.We closed less then a month later in a meeting that took less than 15 minutes.You should call Marc.

Josh McDermott: I can't recommend Marc Russo and Atlas Properties strongly enough. Prior to being referred to Marc by a work colleague, my wife and I had looked unsuccessfully for a condo in Beacon Hill and Back Bay for the first six months of 2013. Our interactions with other local realtors had been unsatisfying to say the least. The market was crazy and we needed guidance, which is just what we got from Marc. Marc exudes experience, competence, and honesty. He is great at what he does while also being a genuinely nice guy. It is obvious that he has a good rapport with other agents, which I think is critical in a tight market.We looked at a few places with him before seeing what seemed like the ideal place for us. Needless to say many other people also found it ideal - there were 8 offers by the end of the two days it was on the market. Marc guided us through the process of making the right offer, and we are confident that without his involvement we would still be looking for a place to live! He also hooked us up with an inspector, and a contractor so that we would have a sense of what the renovations our place needed would cost. As first-time home buyers we were pretty clueless about all of this, and would have been lost without his help. We feel very fortunate to have worked with him, and I give him the strongest possible recommendation.

He then worked closely with the real estate lawyer that my wife and I selected, who had expertise in buying property with tax liens. It soon became very clear that Scott understood the tax lien related challenges of this condo purchase better than the owner’s realtor, who was an experienced professional with one of the larger firms in the area. She actually called him for updates.Late in the process, we learned that the owner was personally negotiating a “short sale” with the IRS. This further added to the complexity of what was already a complex deal. Scott remained diligent throughout the two delays in closing, maintaining his optimism and ensuring all key participants, including the owner’s realtor, were constantly updated.We cannot thank Scott enough for helping us acquire a condo we really like.
