Massachusetts General Hospital: Rheumatology: what do users think?
Bostonsales: This review is for Dr. Mark Matza, Rheumatologist at MGH.Horrible experience trying to get an appointment for 3 weeks.Dr Matza didn’t even bother to respond to a referring physician. Apparently, he’s too busy to respond to other doctors. The appointment coordinators are a piece of work. I dealt with one, Zekora, who talked in circles and argued on the phone and was very unhelpful.Overall, they don’t care if patients need urgent visits and are in excruciating pain. It’s very sad. Save yourself the aggravation and go to another hospital. Very disappointed and would never refer anyone to MGH Rheumatology after this horrible experience! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Maya Miatkowski: Day 7 of waiting for my doctor to return my messages. All I want is my records so that I can go see any other doctor at this point
Paul Passacantilli: yMy Wifehas been in pain for five days with lupus flare up had condocotritis numerous times along with frozen shoulder there’s no communication call back answers until the fifth day .her pain is terrible can’t swallow or move fainted at cvs parking lot due to pain .Please refer to her medical record in regards to receiving pain medication ,she was a nurse for over 40 years never ever had drug problem Mgh is treating her like a drug seeker absolutely not true .They told her to go to emergency unit during COVID with a low immune system she can not drive or wishes to go ,I don’t drive either due to injury of my back,I will continue to address this matter with The Chief of Rheumatology Paul Passacantilli
Peggy Ann Richter: Great doctors! Very thorough!

Tufts Medical Center Rheumatology: what do users think?
Karen Mattson: Worth the trip into town
y tar: Incompetence - that is one word that comes to mind!!!
brie Dunn: I been with tufts primary for a year & unfortunately I have a terminal illness so I there quiet often. They are always right on point.
Jennifer G: Doctors rotate so frequently, I am on my 3rd primary care doctor in 5 years. Hard to build rapport with a physician if they are constantly leaving, not the type of care I am looking for long term.
Aly Sultan: Abysmal administration. Just try to get an external referral to a specialist. I’ve never seen incompetence this bad in my entire life.
L: Tufts Primary Care at 260 Tremont is the most poorly designed and managed heal care facility I’ve been to. At check in, you are forced to stand in line in the door way with everyone going in and out around you and no privacy when it’s your turn to speak to the receptionist. Each exam room is identified by a piece of paper taped to the door instead of proper name plates. The computer system doesn’t work in exam rooms. We’ve met some rude doctors and nurses though some were nice. If you go to the blood draw room, be prepared for the fact that it’s a small room divided into 2 sections separated by a curtain. You will either have other patients and their companions walk right past you while you are having your blood drawn if you are in the front section, or you will have to walk past another patient having their blood drawn to get to the back section - never seen that kind of set up at other facilities. It wasn’t easy getting an appointment so we were looking forward to it. What a thorough disappointment. We will not go back.
Francis Gorski: Odd to read these 1 star reviews. I have had nothing but great experiences with the Tufts Primary Care team. I highly recommend.
James: Avoid this hospital and healthcare system at all costs. If you truly value the quality of people, doctors and care you’re receiving, go elsewhere. We live in Boston, which has some of the best hospitals in the world. If you do come here, be prepared for absolute nightmares answering the phone and coordinating/scheduling, mean nurses and staff, incompetent foreign doctors and internists who will treat you like cattle, scheduling that is out multiple months for any kind of appt involving an actual MD or specialist, even if you just got out of the hospital and have a legitimate reason. Everyone I have encountered here, after being hospitalized for the better part of a month and then 6 months of follow ups, has been completely incompetent and spoken to me as if I don’t know what I am talking about when asking questions or voicing concerns about a serious condition. I used to think so highly of medical and hospital staff during the pandemic, not any more after visiting tufts. Don’t waste your time here. They don’t care about you, they care about getting you in for as many meaningless appointments as possible and getting your insurance for every dime they can. Something needs to change regarding how this place is run! Don’t go here!
Matthew Greene: Well I personally didn’t really appreciate how hard it was to get in to see a E.N.T doctor when I kept complaining about my ears. I had to tell my primary care Dr I wanted to see one. I also had a cyst and ingrown hair in my nose. Had to fight for it. Unfair my insurance covered the E.N.T doctor. Why should we have to wait & ask for a referral if we need the help? W.E. Idc anymore. I got in and he did some tests and gave me this antibacterial cream that I had no idea even existed. Works great.Another thing was I scheduled an appointment to see my neurologist online and then never got a confirmation or an appointment at all until I called over the phone . Awful customer service experience. Now I’m waiting until March yay could not be more excited… guess if I have seizures I’ll just lie down in my bed and die until March. Can’t get help at CVS or Walgreens. Nothing helps. Not even these silly prescriptions. I will still go though because I love my neurologist and the neurosurgeon he sent me to. Great guys I loved the entire team. It’s just unfair and unhelpful sometimes. I get Covid , but that’s a revolving circle for everyone. Companies have to do better job for everyone to get in & see their doctors.
Wing: was fine until ....I made an follow up appointment for palpitations for today (11/30/2021) at 11am. I called the office this morning to confirm and somehow the coordinator cancelled my appointment without letting me know. I called the office again to reschedule an appointment and was told that nothing is available until next year 1/18/2022. This appointment was set up 4 weeks ago and I need to discuss my test result in order to re-start my medication. now i need to reschedule all my future appointment... Thanks Tufts
Ahmed Ali: Bad bad bad bad doctors
David Álvarez Lombardi: AVOID THIS OFFICE. Deserves 0 stars. Everything is a complete mess. I have missed treatment on numerous occasions due to failures of this office whether it be appointments, prescriptions, or referrals. Everyone has a "that's not my job" mentality and nothing gets done.
Nicole Perrin: If I could give zero stars, I would. My appointment was rescheduled. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Signage is terrible. Nobody answers the phone to help. The secretary at the front desk was super nice. She gets 5 stars. Unfortunately, she couldn’t make up for the rest of the bad experience. I will never go back.
Benjamin Chaim: While I have had decent experiences with the rest of the hospital, I can't speak for the actual quality of the primary care department. For some bizarre bureaucratic reason, primary care is apparently the only department in the hospital that doesn't accept my insurance. Of course, they said they did over the phone when I was scheduling this appointment. I didn't find out until I had driven an hour to get here and they wouldn't see me or even waive my parking fee.
gloria middleton: I have been a patient here since 1999 and my doctors have all been beyond exceptional! Starting with Dr Kender who was amazing and kind. When she retired it was truly heartbreaking for me as I considered her not only my exceptional doctor but my friend as well. When I became a patient of Dr. Ang’s it was an unexpected blessing not only for me but for my dad who was transitioning and died 2015. I was blessed with Dr. Ang’s kindness, knowledge, and exceedingly warm character. She was so supportive and I believe she went above and beyond to assist me and my dad during this traumatic period. Unfortunately Dr. Ang moved to another state and I still think of her with gratitude and profound love.Ultimately I am now with another amazing doctor who exemplifies the same magnificent characteristics as my previous doctors! Dr. Chawla is extraordinary to say the least. She is what all doctors should strive to be, intelligent, kind, caring, receptive, and most importantly ( to me) a welcoming spirit . Her NP, Jill Hallsey, is definitely cut from the same cloth. She is just as efficient and kind as Dr. Chawla is. It was a pleasure to see her in Dr. Chawla’s absence recently. Finally, my experiences with the medical center has been rewarding and fulfilling both at the Biewend Building as well as any interactions with the hospital. I always recommend Tufts but I do realize all doctors are not created equal but I have absolutely no complaints about my experiences.
Ginnilee Berger: The doctors are all very welcoming, they know what they're doing and they don't run for the door when they see me coming- multiple medical issues and very accident prone. I particularly like my PCP, Jana Naef, because she knows what she's doing, has a good sense of humor & an excellent bedside manner.
Vineeth Rao: I've tried to reach the Tufts Medical Center Insurance Referral Department all day and I've not been able to get through.
JOSE NIEVES: Uno de los mejores hospitales, donde se encuentran los mejores situjanos

Arnold Pain Center: what do users think?
Joe & Beth Trucheon-Cox: I am a patient through Workers Compensation and I had no choice but to leave BIDMC for another facility due to the efforts (or lack thereof) of Dr. Rana and Dr. Davis. The results of a nerve block were skewed when Dr. Rana jabbed the needle into my bone by mistake, causing a week of increased pain and discomfort and masking the effects of the temporary nerve block. She neglected to use dye contrast during the procedure, which would have helped her with her accuracy issues. There was no communication between Dr. Rana and Dr. Davis, both of which made it clear that they did not respect each others opinions. Dr. Davis trippled down on a CRPS diagnoses that was already debunked by multiple tests with Pain management, and said that he sees cancer patients and people with missing limbs so I should feel lucky that all I have is permanent knee pain and move on with my life. The extreme lack of professionalism and effort towards their care by both Doctors forced me to start over with another facility, which is not easy when every appointment is a legal battle.
Nicolai Cauchy: Terrific care from Dr. Peeters Asdourian, C. Walker, and 3+ years with J. Wooten

Massachusetts General Hospital Center For Pain Medicine: what do users think?
vanessa steck: Doctor basically told me he “wasn’t comfortable” doing anything and I should just go to the ER for my frequent and incapacitating pain.
Sara L.: Revised my review based on actual treatment experience. Getting in to be seen WAS a disaster and took way too long for a person in acute pain but once I got the appointment the care was phenomenal.
Max Siegler: I was referred Dec10 2021 for pain and as of today Jan1,2022 after many calls I am still being told I can not even make an appointment as I have to be “approved “ and there are no appointments for months. Seems to me if your Doctor Refers you for pain that means you are in need of help now. I have to say this undermines my confidence in this dept ability to treat people in pain or have any compassion. I will not even attempt to secure an appointment there any longer and find an alternative solution for my intense pain. So incredibly disappointed as MGH has a really good rating as a hospital and this treatment has been inhumane.
Queen Jewell: Are you aware patients have the right to choose their provider if they're dissatisfied. Are you telling patients they cannot switch doctors. Are you aware of patients rights and Violations. Are you aware patients must be informed if residence is involved in their care.
Laura O’Grady: I was in so much pain that I couldn’t stand or sit, much less walk - but apparently the physicians didn’t believe me. So I was sent on my way, clinging to side rails in the hallway, and wound up passing out from pain in a restroom. Was there for hours, waking to a “code” and thinking “thank god, it’s finally over”.Those docs don’t meet my eyes when I see them now. Didn’t file a complaint because I was afraid of revenge. They have the power over suffering patients and seem to become angry when they’re unable to help, as if it’s our fault.
Melissa bussone: The last time I was there I saw Dr. Ping Jin! All of the doctors there have always been wonderful however I feel like Dr. Jin was one of the nicest and most through doctors that I have ever been seen by! He gave me hope and suggested alternative therapies that I have been asking for years and always denied! I'm already to most pain medications and have a very rare painful tumor disorder. I can't wait to see him again! He is definitely helping me improve my quality of life!
Tina Toland: Best doctors in the world
Pauline Graney: I have been going to the clinic for a while and everyone is excellent they treat you very well and all the Dr's seem to be in great moods all the time which make the experience better.

Dr. Edgar L. Ross, MD: what do users think?
Michele Carney: Simply the best.
NIA ROD: Darlene is unprofessional . Meenu also. Edgar Ross is one of the worst doctors.
Daniel Kilbreth: Having to be a "regular" at a Pain Management Center for years is, itself, an unpleasant fact of life for some folks (me). I have been under Dr. Ross' care for a very long time. He has tried everything to treat my pain. He has an exceptionally upbeat personality and enjoys a joke, but is always concerned with the welfare of this patient, and for such a busy guy, is very accessible. Initially, when he told me that I needed to wean off the opioid meds, I was angry and felt as though I was personally being punished for the Opioid Crisis. Now that I'm off them, and using medical marijuana instead, I'm glad not to be taking the opioids, despite the increase in pain during the work day, and I respect Dr. Ross for not running a "pill mill," and just handing me prescriptions to shut me up. Exceptional support staff, nurses, PA's. Always as pleasant an experience as a visit to a pain clinic can hope to be.
jodi Kublin: Excellent care. Excellent knowledge on pain management. Staff is caring and encourage patients to live a productive life.
Kristin Allan: Horrible bedside manner. He was my mothers doctor and put a stimulator in her back to treat chronic pain. The stimulator broke after nine months and refused to believe that it needed to be replaced. He did all kinds of other procedures that did nothing. Right now my mother has been in and out of the hospital and in extreme pain. She is on extreme amount of pain medications. The hospital has called him several times and he will not respond. Her stimulator needs to be replaced and he will not help her. Just let her sit in so much pain she is suicidal.
