AshleyK: This review is long overdue so I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to write it. I always have a pleasant experience at this branch of Eastern Bank. On one particular occasion, my (new) husband and I came in to change my name on all of our accounts to my married name, add my name to an account which was previously just my husband’s, along with depositing money and getting new bank cards printed for our multiple accounts with my new name. It was a long tedious to do list! The Operations Associate, Christopher, took all of these tasks on with a smile! He was so kind and friendly (even recommended a good place to grab breakfast sandwiches). He had to have spent at least 30 minutes to an hour helping us and was patient and helpful the entire time! I’m sorry this review took so long to get written, but I wanted to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves because he’s an all star employee! I wish all bank associates could be as friendly, helpful, and outgoing as he was! Thanks Christopher!!
Andre Chapman: I am a longstanding customer and I came in for a statement that my account had been paid in full. The service associates (at the Tremont St Branch) did not know what they were doing. One asked the other for advice, but then told me I had to go online and wait 4 business days. I told her that was too long and I need a statement today. She said sorry she cannot help, I asked to speak to someone else and she directed me to wait in front of the assistant manager's office. The assistant manager was on a conference call, but emailed a link to the service associate to share with me, the same 4 day waiting period. As the service associate is telling me this she is closing the assistant manager's office door so I do not disturb her (I did not feel like a customer I felt like an outsider). I left the Tremont St Branch because they could not help me. The customer service is terrible I did not even feel like a customer and I was not given adequate time and assistance from the manager. Her conference call was more important. I went to another Eastern Bank branch (155 Dartmouth St., Boston, MA 02116 (Back Bay)) and they were able to help me right away with the statement I needed, they gave me the letter in my hand today, signed. The Back Bay branch was attentive to my needs and helped me right away. I left feeling like I was valued as a customer and as I walked out they said congratulations (I had paid off of loan). They were very thoughtful and nice, a service experience I did not get at the first branch. TERRIBLE SERVICE AT TREMONT ST BRANCH. Not up to par. Didn't care enough to pay close enough attention to what I needed to try to help me.
