Horizon Aviation: what do users think?
Sah Sendo B: Best of the best
Rick Barrette: Awesome people who helped me become a pilot
Jack C: Took a discovery flight there a few years ago and my private written there as well. Staff were super nice.
Timothy Shepard: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThese guys are so awesome !!!!!!! Especially with kids !!!! I’m Glad i chose Horizon Flight school to get my License. There so much i could write !!! But i am very very happy
Rahul Roy: Great folks !
Damien Ramos: Amazing experience thanks to Horizon Aviation and our instructor Jacob.Flying was one of my dream and my wife had the excellent idea to offer me the "Airman’s Package", a full one-hour introductory flight lesson with a Cessna and I really enjoyed it.Jacob has been really professional before, during and after the flight and we really appreciated to talk about the planes and others things during this hour. The communication with the office has been easy and we have to thanks them because we know it's not easy to fill the calendar during this Covid19 period.I totally recommend this company and I hope I would be able to continue the training when we will go back in France. Wish you the best, to you Jacob and the company.
R Diamond: Great time, very smooth flight, friendly staff, excellent pilot, clean facility. Will return.
Christopher Cicchitelli: The best place to learn to fly in the area!
Jamfizzle daParbombdizzle: Steve is great friendly and helpful. Trey and Jacob are fine and professional instructors. Both of the Victoria's are great, the Citabria is not housed in Norwood though. The latest price for the Citabria is $299 an hour at the time of this review.
Amit Dua: Great experience.. Jay is a great instructor

East Coast Aero Club: what do users think?
Chris Wood: Absolutely appalling rental prices, even for 2023 and their oldest and most basic 1970s models. I'm renting planes that are half as old for half the price wet, and I can rent a 2022 172 NXi for less than they're charging for a 50 year old steam gauge 172. I can literally rent a twin for less hourly than their 172Ms. This is like helicopter prices for fixed wing training. Highway robbery, and they get away with it because there are so few options in Greater Boston. You would have to be absolutely loaded to afford a PPL at this school - look elsewhere. A "club" in name only.
Adam Heroux: Great flight school, highly recommend
Apurva Tripathi: It’s a great school with amazing people. Specially If you are an international student pilot (or want to be one ), they guide you all the way for the process. Plane rental prices is on a bit higher side but they put emphasis on maintenance and safety of the planes that justifies the cost.Any pilot on the east cost will recommend this school due to the good track record they have maintained.
Peter Geller: I worked at East Coast Aero Club last year and I currently rent from them. The entire operation runs like clockwork. Maintenance and dispatch work together to plan future maintenance which means renters and students always have a plane available. If there is ever any issue, dispatch is very quick to make adjustments to resolve the issue. The quality of instructors is also of note. ECAC has a strong team that work together to achieve the common goal of helping students succeed. If one instructor isn’t a fit, it’s easy to find another that does.As an employee and a renter, I am consistently satisfied with the quality and efficiency of this aero club.
AB Mercer: Professional flight training/aircraft kept up to standards. However-It is very clear ECAC has a misogynistic atmosphere, (particularly within management) making it a toxic environment for women. Also, the owner’s callous disregard for anyone but himself is not only strange but sad.Remember: if something feels off to you, it probably is.
Gustavo Herrera: I live 12 minutes away from Beverly Airport, where there are options for learning to fly. But I drive 35-50 minutes to East Coast Aero Club at Hanscom because of the quality of their instructors, the mint condition of the planes, and the transparency of maintenance (there is a board in the office where you can see the maintenance status of each plane), it's a bit pricier than other flight schools, but worth the money. You can learn in old Warrior IIs, or newer Cessnas 172 with the latest avionics. Highly recommended if you want to become a pilot in a safe and professional environment.
Mohammad Matin-Nejad: If you are looking to take flight classes on your own paste and book lessons but have a busy work schedule this place is the right place for you. This is one of the three ECAC locations in the state. The Bedford location is where I was able to take my flight lessons. ECAC is by far one of the best flight schools in the state with very reasonable pricing on rentals. The front desk staff are friendly, polite and helpful. They make you feel welcomed and always greet you with a smile. The schedule although at times can be busy with multiple students flying for the day, once you book your introductory class you can then book your flight lessons online as you wish; with however many hours you would like to book in a week. You can book flights until a month in advance which gives you plenty of time to plan your personal life around the lessons or the lessons around your personal life. The website is super simple and easy to use and is very straight forward. The instructors are all very skilled and experienced and know how to teach and make you feel comfortable with the plane. Once you start your solo flights other instructors look out for you and are always there as a resource if you need anything. As you take more classes you are expected to do more and more hands on while the instructor observe and goes a little less hands on to give you the skills you need to fly the plane. Justine and Sophie were the two instructors I flew with and both were knowledgeable, skilled and very friendly. They both made me feel comfortable learning from them and slowly progressing to my solo flights. The planes are very very very well maintained and although some are a little older, they perform amazingly, and that goes to show the good work of the maintenance department with this club. There is a very organized system for when there is any maintenance issues with the plane. Things get fixed and looked at right away.Overall I have nothing negative to say about this flight school and only all positive things. It takes a lot to be a pilot but this place makes you feel welcomed, comfortable, teaches you, gives you the skills, and makes you a damn good pilot.Highly recommend!!!
E Hazen: Great maintenance shop and flight school! I returned to flying several years ago after a long hiatus. I got a flight review from ECAC and flew their rental planes for several months, then with the able assistance of Mark (the owner) I purchased my own plane and base it at the field. I have all my maintenance done by ECAC and can't say enough about the service. They understand my preferences (airworthy but not necessarily shiny) and have helped me out in a pinch several times.I find both Mark (the owner) and Adam (head of maintenance) to be friendly, helpful and fair.
Jim Thames: Very well run FBO. In-house maintenance ensures all the aircraft are well-maintained and quickly back online. Wide variety of rental aircraft (high wings/low wing, steam/glass) and professional instructors to choose from. Busy class Delta given proximity to Boston, but what better way to be forced to master your radio work.
Nikhil Subedi: Nice and Clear Administration. Will be Starting my Fixed Wing Training Soon.
Alastair Bastian: Great flight school
Patrick Sweeney: Great instructors, short-sighted management.I spent probably close to $25,000 at ECAC finishing my commercial ticket, getting my tailwheel endorsement, taking aerobatic lessons and maintaining my aircraft. Some of the instructors like Marc Nathanson former Air Force instructor are among the best in the world. The owner Mark Holzworth, however is short sighted, difficult to deal with and lacks any fiber of empathy or understanding of his clients. I get the feeling he only cares about money. After all the time and money I spent there I would expect to be given the benefit of the doubt, but I wasn't. I had a problem with a credit card. I live overseas and when they tried to run it, it was locked for fraud reasons. I told ECAC I'd get back to them when I had things sorted. I was clear I would take care of it in the next couple of days. I was going to go fly the next day and found my online account suspended. Unreal. No phone call, no curiosity - just an a-hole maneuver over $300.I won't go back because I don't like dealing with people like him and I'm fearful he may treat his employees or suppliers even worse than he treats clients. Buyer beware.
Richard Sweeney: I am a 67 year old student pilot - ECAC instructors are excellent; knowledgeable, safe and patient - I recently soloed and plan to complete my Private Pilot License this summer....
Philip Greenspun: I learned to fly airplanes here in 2001 and 2002. Then I learned to fly helicopters here. Now I'm an instructor in both airplanes and helicopters. ECAC has been a wonderful community for me and I very much appreciate the maintenance staff that Mark Holzwarth has built up during the past 25+ years.
Natalie Braginsky: I received, as a gift, a Groupon for an introductory helicopter lesson which included an hour of ground instruction and about half an hour of flying with the instructor in a Robinson R44. I hadn't operated any type of aircraft before, and I had a great first experience here. My instructor was professional, competent, and friendly. The reading required to schedule my lesson definitely made the ground lesson easier to understand. The flight was the best part of the experience. It was very easy to feel the helicopter responding to the controls. The cyclic is very sensitive, like the instructor said ("no abrupt control inputs"). I'd love to continue learning here and I would definitely recommend ECAC to anyone interested in learning to fly.

East Coast Aero Club: what do users think?
Andrew Zizik: I rent a 172 out of their Norwood location occasionally, and I've done a check out flight in the Diamond DA40. They're communicative and reasonable in terms of scheduling. I've never had an issue with scheduling the rental block I want ahead of time. Their rental fleet has a good variety of aircraft, if not all at Norwood (you may need to go to their other locations for multiengine training/rental). The instructors here seem to know their stuff as well. Highly recommend these guys!
Tyler Ghizzoni: Positive:Professionalism,QualityBest flight school in the Boston area.
Trains2U18: Great instructors and airplanes
Logan Greenlee: Easy Coast Aero is great. The dispatch desk is well run, the line well maintained and the instructors are knowledgeable and want to help you become an excellent pilot. Norwood as a location is excellent though with a few drawbacks such as the overhanging Bravo and the sometimes busy pattern.
Anabella Ribeiro: Awesome flight school. Joseph A. Is a great instructor.
Jamfizzle daParbombdizzle: Manny and David are friendly and helpful. Manny can workout a deal with you if you pay ahead of time. And ask David about his block pricing for the simulator to save money. Part of the instrument proficiency check can be done in the red bird except the landings and the circle to land maneuver. Red bird goes for $90 hour wet, senior instructor is $80. I would buy the 5 hour deal. Very knowledgeable five stars.
Ross R: Easy scheduling with new high quality planes, fair prices, and very kind and helpful staff.

Blue Hill Helicopters: what do users think?
brielle ducharme: 5 stars isn’t enough! My boyfriend and I went for a tour with George yesterday. Everything about it was amazing! George was AWESOME. He was incredibly kind. He explained everything so well and I didn’t have one doubt about anything! THANK YOU!
Daniel Fernandes: My introductory flight was excellent. George was my instructor today as we flew to and around the Gillette Stadium. I was very impressed with his knowledge and understanding of the helicopter flight procedures.
Kaila Collins: Had a great time flying! I learned a lot and really enjoyed my first time flying! My instructor was very nice and polite!
Miriam Hernandez: I booked the introductory flight for my sons 18th birthday. It was a surprise and he was super excited. I unfortunately can’t remember our pilots name but he was amazing! Super friendly and explained everything in detail to my son but also was just very easy to talk to. I’ve already recommended Blue Hill Flights to a few of my friends. Would definitely go again in the future!
S B: Had a great introductory flight lesson with Georg. We covered the ground briefing, then flew in the practice area near Gillette Stadium. The R44 is very different from anything I’ve flown before, and making coordinated control inputs will take some time to learn. Thank you to Georg and the rest of the Blue Hill team for a wonderful experience!
Rick Warwick: Blue Hill Helicopter is an amazing place! People are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.....but safety is their top priority. You will not have a better Helicopter experience around Boston!
K B: The place was amazing! I loved the couches and the neon light! The kind front desk man offered us beverages before our flight! Then he drove us to the helicopter, then we were on our way! We got to see everything! The Very professional pilot explained everything that we were seeing. Safely landed back at the airport and got on the cart and went back to the car! Highly recommend!
CJG: I recently booked a surprise proposal tour for my now fiancé, this was truly a once in a lifetime experience. We both have lived in Boston our entire lives, but to see the city from a helicopter was an entirely new experience that we will never forget. Our pilot Georg was extremely professional, explained everything in detail, and made us feel safe throughout. Georg gave us a fully narrated tour of the city, including a perfect opportunity for my proposal right over Fenway Park. Georg gave us several ideal photo opportunities before, during, and after our flight. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Blue Hill Helicopters, and more specifically our pilot Georg. We would suggest this to anyone looking for a unique or special experience unlike any other!
Ellington Brinkley: Amazing experience! Our pilot George was awesome and pointed out all the buildings and neighborhoods of Boston. If you’ve never visited Boston, explore the city first before seeing it from the sky…always fun to see from a different perspective!
Angel B Rivera: Today 10/15/2022 9:30 am Joe gave me a wonderful day, a unique experience, the pilot was very professional and very kind to us, thanks Joe, you are the best. I recommend that you have the same experience that I had.
sam camp: An absolutely amazing experience. You will enjoy a great day, they have a comfortable lounge and will look after you well. The helicopter tour is comfortable and smooth and you will see so much of the city. You get very close to all parts of the city and plenty of awesome photos. Alex is the best, an awesome pilot.PS the restaurant right next door is exceptional as well.
Niamh Hardaker: Very professional and knowledgeable about the Boston area. The views were amazing !!
Crystal Carrington: Amazing and smooth ride. We did April 23, sunny day. Alex was our pilot and he was fantastic and super knowledgeable!
T C: Alex was a great pilot and tour guide. We had blue skies and gorgeous views on a first time helicopter ride. Highly recommend it.
Lisa Lee: This experience was absolutely incredible. Christian was our instructor, and he did an amazing job explaining everything and answering all of our questions — from helicopter operation curiosities to technical engineering aspects of helicopters to just fun stories. We had a great time learning about and then flying the helicopter, and the views were incredible. Would highly recommend!
Yasmine K: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueChristian was our pilot. He was so friendly, so happy to show us around and made the ride enjoyable. Thank you for a great memorable day on my birthday Christian!!
Stephen Udden: Unmatched in saftey, great crew, equipment, AND wonderful pilots with fantastic customer service.
Bob Brooks: The instructor was awesome, knew his stuff, explained it all and he was on top of everything. Highly recommended
Jake Dannecker: I went on a tour of Boston for my anniversary with my wife and 7 year old daughter. It was AMAZING. The pilot was professional, kind, and knowledgeable about everything we were seeing. It could not have gone any better! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!
heidy vallejo: Best experience ever!! Ricardo was a great pilot and tour guide, I will definitely live this again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Jenny Delmonico: Braveen was a great pilot. Super kool guy. My husband and i did the 1 hour tour. It was amazing. Now my husband wants to learn to fly. So he will be starting classes soon. Thanks Again BraveenSee you soon The Wilcox's

Sebastian gerena: Ms. Z is the best!
Jocilina Andrade: The school is good l like it 10/10
Kimberly Benders: The staff is amazing, sweet, excited staff. Dr. Jodi, the principal is so hands on and accessible. I didn't grow up in the BPS system so picking s school was a nervous process. I love it here, as does her father and of course our child. We attended this school during Corona "season" and the staff were great communicators. Organized and understanding. I wish there were more grades here so we could stay longer.
The Three Musketeers: I went to that school and they teach you really good. You always get treated equally. Teachers actually talk to the students. When I went there they would take us to the YMCA to learn how to swim and highly recommend
jeycely alquijay: The best school in Dorchester

Avier Flight School: what do users think?
Richard Wang: Very good experience. I had a discovery flight there, the instructor let me engaged in every step of the flight. The staff of Avier is enthusiastic, Avier is a very inclusive and helpful family.
Kat Jacobson: Such an aesthetically pleasing school! Everyone was very kind and helpful. The discovery flight was really fun and they make you feel comfortable about what you’re doing. Definitely recommend.
Cris Wein: I highly recommend choosing AVIER when deciding to start flying; they have a very atmosphere, where they focus on your individual needs rather than having a "one size fits all" approach. They are extremely responsive, their app allows you to choose the best way to have them communicate with you, which is great if you're an introvert like me. Their entire staff is there to support you regardless of your flying goals. Whether you're looking to start your journey towards your pilots license or simply want to take a discovery flight, AVIER is the way to go
Andrew Pujalet: Great place, I felt very comfortable during my Discovery flight and signed up for lessons on the spot!
Hebe Lee: I love it!
jiajia zhang: Wonderful first flight with Dave! Thanks so much, can’t wait to start my lessons!
Eren Gurses: Avier is a great place to start your aviation journey. I met Fred, Esteban and Paul, they are great people. I did my introductory flight with Luis, he is a great pilot and instructor, very knowledgeable and friendly. Can’t wait to be back in the air!
Jeremy: Very professional establishment, informative instructors, extremely nice owner and staff! If you do have a small wait before flight, staff considerately offer refreshments and snacks.
Linda Emma: Great experience for my son -would recommend. The entire staff is pleasant, inviting, and passionate about what they do. And Chris Fietta was great!
Samantha Fusco: I am a student at Avier with around 20 hours now. When I walked in for my first lesson, the atmosphere was so inviting. Coming from another flight school previously that I thought was alright, Avier 1-upped them easily. They have a large fleet of airplanes and plenty of instructors. As I am still in college, having a flight school with expansive availability was essential to me, and Avier has exactly what I need to succeed. They have a syllabus that allows you to see exactly what you are going to do each lesson from start to finish. The instructors go above and beyond during lessons to make sure you are going to be more than prepared for checkride. They will offer resources to help with certain things (both for in-flight and ground school) that may be challenging. My instructors Firat and Luis have helped me each step of the way and I am always so excited for my lesson days. All of the instructors and management at Avier create a community. They have a family like atmosphere which makes everyone feel welcome.
Jimmy: When choosing a flight school there are many different factors to consider. I researched and visited multiple schools in the area and decided Avier was the best fit for me. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Paul,Esteban, and Firat run an excellent school that functions as a friendly supportive community. Their planes are all well maintained, they provide Bose A20 headsets for students use, and free access to their flight simulator when you carry a balance of $2k. I would recommend Avier to anyone looking to get their PPL or add an additional rating!
Eric Grigorian: Update: Paul reached out and was very apologetic, I understand scheduling for a flight school can be difficult but he did everything to make it right. Looking forward to flying with Avier!Filled out their form online requesting more information for a discovery flight and never got a call back. Tried calling them multiple times, no one picked up and their mailbox was full. Can't recommend a place that I can't even get in touch with
Robert Russo: I've checked out a few flight schools and I settled on Avier, because of their professionalism, caring on what and how flight instructions are taught, accessibility to reach out to instructors, looking forward to the process of learning how to fly.
Chris Nevins: Not like any flight school you've ever seen. From the moment you walk through the doors the ambiance and atmosphere will have you questioning if this is a GA flight school or a lounge for Corporate VIP passengers... while the planes may look typical from the outside as well, the fleet is updated with modern avionics and make them a great choice not only for training but for rentals for those lunch dates to the Vineyard. Welcoming management and a great mix of enthusiastic and experienced instructors make the learning environment leaps and bounds above the local competition.
Zeynep Durmuş: If you have decided to become a pilot, you are in the right point. I got my first discovery flight with Mr.Fred and was amazing! They are so helpfull and Avier is like a family. I’m so excited to be a part of Avier Family. Thanks for everything!
Toby Schine: Great training. Even more important? Fabulous people!!!
Kunal Vaishnav: If I ever start a business, I would set AVIER as a benchmark! I did my discovery flight with them recently and I was speechless with kind of warmth I felt while there. Firat (Fred) my instructor was welcoming , kind and he has a very good sense of humor, thoroughly enjoyed flying with him. I had an opportunity to havea conversation with Paul and I could sense the importance of safety and how it is imbibed in their core culture. In this day and age when customers are so demanding and even slightly wont take anything less, its not easy to maintain a 5 star rating. So kudos to everyone at AVIER. God bless AVIER.PS: one of the best espressos I had, don’t forget to have one if you visit them
Giovanni Martins: Avier is not your average flight school. These guys are top notch and they actually focus in helping their students. The customer service is fantastic. Every time you come in, they are actually happy too see you there. Great ambience. If you're looking for a flight school, look no further.
Dmitri Ivashchenko: Amazing instructors that care, great management and just a 5-star overall experience. I could not imagine going anywhere else to learn how to fly and meet interesting people while doing it!
M Lo Duca: Avier goes above and beyond for its students. The place is always clean and inviting, and everyone who works there is knowledgeable and genuine. I really thought flying was something inaccessible and outside the scope of my possibilities, but Esteban and Paul have helped me make this dream a reality. I would recommend this flight school to anyone new to aviation, or even pros who are looking for a friendly, competent place to fly. The instructors are consummate professionals with passion, drive, and patience. 10/10, honestly.
Akshay Gidh: Had a thrilling discovery flight experience with Fred Iletar. The entire staff at Avier is very accommodating.

Aptis Aviation: what do users think?
Yuchen Zhou: Emailed for information about introductory flight and Rich told me that I need to go through background check through the TSA(because I'm not a US citizen). Went back and forth for document processing and fingerprint collecting, and then find out from their staff I only need the background check when I start training(not for a introductory flight). This is frustrating.
Arnaldo Borghi (aBorghi): Very nice people that would do what ever takes to get you there
Jon Holland: This airport is great. The guys that work their are friendly and very knowledgeable. I took my dad up yesterday for a flying lesson and we had a blast. It was my first time flying in a small plane. I wasn't sure how it was going to go but, the instructor we had (dan) was very good, always checking to see if everyone was ok and fully stocked on their "chuk-it" bags. Thankfully I didnt need them!I will definitely go back for another lesson/flight.
Megan Carroll: As a pilot myself since the age of 15, I was very careful in choosing a flight school for my 15 year old son. After careful research and getting to know Certified Flight Instructors at many Greater Boston Airports, I chose Aptis Aviation at Stow Airfield in Stow, MA. Devin and Dan have taught my son both ground school and flying for about a year now. We are both very impressed with the program, the patience, and most importantly the safety shown by the instructors. Well worth the trip to Stow if you live far away. We've been driving an hour each way because this school is so good, and there is a gourmet cafe run by husband and wife aviators just steps away. I will often watch my son's plane take off and land while enjoying a cup of tea.Megan CarrollAttorney
Matthew macaruso: Great place to train!. I recently started to taking lessons with CFII Devan in the Cessna 150. I love it!
Don Monroe: Great place to fly. Great instructors and planes. If you are already a pilot, check out the "access club" (facebook: aptis access club) for discount rates.
John Wood: Got my tail wheel endorsement here, nice people. Devan is a great instructor!
Cher by Photography: Really great crew to work with!
Scott Hopkins: Welcoming, well-run flight school at a friendly airport not far from Boston. What more can you ask for?
