Ashley Dru Douglass: I'm an event planner out of nyc and a fellow planner in the Boston area recommended i work with Forklift. I am always wary of working with a new caterer as they influence the quality of an event significantly. Also, this was a smaller party of about 50 and often enough if its small vendors don't pay as much mind about it. Forklift was great - the food and the staff. This was off site catering at a private home. I look forward to using them again whenever in the Boston area!
Placidina Fico: I did a lot of research to find a caterer for our wedding, and Kristen from Forklift was an exceptionally clear and prompt communicator. I deeply appreciated the transparency around pricing/logistics, and she was also very warm and easy to talk to over the phone!
Michelle Dao: Genuinely the highlight of my event was forklifts reception they did with us. The service was seamless and super supportive. They went above and beyond my expectations and they’re presentation is impeccable.Note that this was our most expensive option but you get what you pay for. They are super professional!The items were petite and delicious. It’s amazing how much flavour was packed into their vegetarian items as well as non vegetarian items.The stationary items were in small bowls for presentation but constantly refilled throughout the night.Also all the wait staff were expected to know dietary restrictions which was super important so it was great to tout their great service across our guests.Would recommend them across the board if you can afford it.

From the start of the planning process to the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly. So many guests were raving about our food! Would absolutely recommend working with this caterer, especially if you're looking for excellent vegan and vegetarian cuisine.

They get things done legally, professionally, and creatively.

I can say that her attention to detail and care about the client and overall food outcome are extremely high. I would highly recommend them and the food is delicious!

Alicia MacDonald: I cannot recommend Forklift enough!! If you are looking for creativity, flexibility, and the most amazing special touches for your wedding, look no further than Forklift. Seriously. From planning to execution, everything was truly flawless. Kristen worked with us to create a completely customized menu of all our favorite foods and drinks (AND with multiple celiacs in my family, a 100% gluten free menu — apps, dinner, and dessert). They went way above and beyond - recommending other vendors, helping us with design questions, to executing on even our craziest requests (e.g. tacos and frozen margaritas, and somehow made it classy?). Everything was plated beautifully, the day-of staff were amazing, and all of the little details came together perfectly. Our guests are still talking about the food! A sincere thank you to all at Forklift for making all of our catering dreams come true :)
David Alves: Terrible service, working hundreds of wedding's I've never seen a caterer treat vendors so bad, we were handed ice cold food, not room temperature, ice cold like out of a freezer. I've never seen anything like this before in the 10 years I've been doing wedding's, if they treat vendors like this I think that's all you need to say about their business.

Jan Kroeze: YOU GET SCREWED HERE! Will never rent again. Did rent an excavator for a month. Paid all up front including delivery and pick up after a month. All dates set. They did not pick up same day but 3 days and charged me another $525 because I called why they did not pick up the next day. Crazy! 🤑

Aidan Murphy: People are so mean and unkind. OSHA should be abolished along with all other safety precautions.
Andy Doucette: Without warning the water to my workplace was interrupted. The bathrooms, eyewash stations and safety showers became non-functional, immediately turning my lab into a hazardous work environment. Whomever works the phones was completely unconcerned with the safety of me and my coworkers.
sandra lundgren: I nearly died from legionnaires disease. Fewer than 5% of people that come in contact with the bacteria actually contract this disease.(according to OSHA), yet they asked us repeatedly if anyone else got sick. I was one of 11 employees present which makes me nearly 10%. We requested water sampling, the morning after diagnosis, as we have 3 doctors connecting cause and relation. There was an industrial accident at my job just days prior, emitting thick vision impairing vapor due to a compressor malfunction. OSHA did nothing and closed any investigation based on an independent air quality report, 2 weeks after diagnosis, that clearly recommends sampling if an employee has been diagnosed with legionnaires disease. This put many lives at risk as this gave time for cover up, which we can prove, as hot steam was blowing in workers faces as the employer vigorously heated up the system to rid the bacteria, before i could receive a sample. Employer denied access to building and denied sampling. I made OSHA aware of other severe violation that exists today that could kill somebody, over 2 months ago. Still employers are at risk, and no action taking. This agency did not protect this worker by any means, only participated in the spoliation of evidence in our opinion. Very dissatisfied and still looking for answers 16 months later and repeatedly lied to!!!!

Spencer Woturski: I had the unfortunate experience of renting from this company. I scheduled a pickup to return the rental, 24 hours in advance. United rentals no showed the pick up. No worries. I called back to try and schedule another pickup that worked with my schedule. My next availability was first thing in the a.m or weekends. I explained this to the guy on the phone who met me with belittling comments, and poor customer service. I explained how I scheduled a pickup and they didn't show, his response "well it's your responsibility to make the unit available" I responded with.. "I did make the unit available, it sat in the front office all day waiting for the pickup I scheduled" he responded "you can't just call and expect us to be there in 5 minutes" my response "sir I gave 24hrs notice and you guys didn't show so now I'm trying to make ammends but I can't just be available all day long. I can make mornings or weekends work" and he had the audacity to tell me they will continue to charge me if it's not returned. I threw that thing in my trunk and dropped it off personally this a.m and got my $180 pickup fee returned. Long story short, call HERC RENTALS first.
Barry Hamilton: United Rentals in the Boston areas has the best customer service than all other rental companies in the area. UR employees are great from sales to service.

Marc Arbesman: The Coffin-Gerry PTO in Marblehead, MA needed a light tower for their yearly Halloween event. A reservation was placed on their website several weeks prior to the event and a deposit was taken. However when an inquiry about the confirmation was made days before the event, it appears that the reservation was lost and blamed on a computer system malfunction. United Rentals refused to provide flexibility to fulfill the expected reservation.The lack of the light tower would prevent the event from happening disappointing hundreds of children. Luckily an alternative vendor was found at the 11th hour.This was a huge disappointment from a company as large as United Rentals. I would recommend they focus on their web presence and integration with their reservation system. Online reservations systems are commonplace and should be expected to work in 2017.
