Boston Photography Classes Curious Soul Photo School: what do users think?
Sarah Bazydola: Suzanne explains the technical aspects of using the camera in simple easy to remember steps. She also provides flash cards to help explain the concepts that you can keep. I highly recommend taking a private class or two if you get a new camera to get up to speed quickly. She is also a delightful person.
Amy M: Suzanne is a master photography teacher, in my mind. Not only is she knowledgeable about photography, but she has a mindful approach that really gets us to see the light and the colors and to be present and learn in a creative, fun way. I've learned so much and continue to learn more. I can't thank her enough. We all critique each other's photos and it's very constructive and fun.
Brian Remington: Really enjoyed our private session with Suzanne today! learned so much and have a new appreciation for archtectual photography. I know what i learned today will serve me quite well in the future! Thank you sooo much!
Aparna Singh: Suzanne teaches you a lot more than how to take beautiful pictures. Learning the technical part of photography is relatively easier--one can potentially do that through reading and practice. While Suzanne does help photographers (at different levels of expertise) with the technical bits (so they are set free from the technical and equipment tangle), the most valuable part of her teaching is that 'She teaches you how to see'. And that for me was a step leap--I felt she took my seeing, and therefore my photography to a whole different level--one that I had not imagined possible. I am pasting below an extract of an email I wrote her after a few classes with her."The past few weeks of learning from you have been eye opening in many ways. Not only have you unlocked for me a magical world just waiting to be discovered, you have also helped me tune in to myself. I now have a much clearer understanding of the genre of photography I wish to dedicate myself to".I am so thrilled with the progress I have made under her guidance that I am now taking private lessons with her to focus on my specific area of interest--abstract photography--one that she is a master of. I am sharing a couple of pictures I took during my classes with her.
Pat Thompson: Fantastic experience! Have been part of at least 6 classes with Suzanne, each with a different focus - literally - in Boston and throughout the state. . Have learned ALOT. Suzanne is knowledgeable, patient and inspires you to be in the moment, all which help you take the best pictures.
loretta f: Suzanne is an exceptional teacher. Each of her group photo classes concentrates on a particular location, showing multiple ways of how and what to view and photograph in order to get a creative and interesting shot. She stresses and explains several aspects of photographing at each session, having us concentrate on these aspects. It's a really helpful technique that help get these aspects ingrained in your future photographing.
Leslie Lapham: I've lost track of how many people I've referred to Suzanne's workshops since I met her in 2016. She finds and scouts great locations, works well with students at all levels using any kind of camera (like a "one room schoolhouse"), and is a phenomenal instructor of technical details, composition, and guidance to find the shots that really mean something to me as a photographer.Suzanne became even more of a hero to several of us during the pandemic. During the first couple of weeks of lockdown, Suzanne figured out how to offer classes via Zoom, and several of us were regulars in class, and built an even stronger sense of community than we had previously. What I truly appreciate about Suzanne is her focus on photography as enrichment. While her technical knowledge and teaching are top-notch, her passion is to help us find ways to connect with our world and explore beauty and interest around us. Her classes cover all manner of topics and techniques, and the "assignments" provide structure, but are a jumping off place. This past Sunday a group of us met at the Arnold Arboretum while the lilacs are in bloom, and when I went to select my favorite pictures from the day, none of my top 5 featured lilacs. Suzanne has taught me to slow down and let the moments and images I want to capture come to me, and then I think about the best way to capture them. I am truly grateful for finding Suzanne and Curious Soul Photo School.
Mo Nica: Suzanne is an amazing teacher, not just an instructor, in every truest sense of the word. Her style of teaching and approach is so special, I tell everyone I highly recommend this to that it is not only a photography class but more importantly, a way, of seeing - to see more creatively and in a different way, even the most mundane, and not only that, but also a way of being present and in the moment, mindfully. I have been attending her classes for years, both the in-person classes and recently, the online seminars and in either setting, she continues to excel and she always offers something fresh, even if you take the same class over again. She comes very well-prepared and at such a high level of commitment to her students. Her classes and the students who come also foster a great feeling of community and very supportive of each other so there is no negative pressure to perform but just to truly enjoy the experience of photography.
Jim Bertram: Suzanne Merritt's photography classes are informative, varied, challenging, supportive, collegial, well-organized and fun! Her in-person - on-location- classes are great. Her Zoom classes are just as great. Her range of expertise is guaranteed to keep you engaged: street, color, light, under-foot, night, architecture, nitty-gritty, wabi sabi, seascape, landscape, macro - there's more. I highly recommed her classes.
Allison Stieber: My camera skills were nearly nonexistent prior to my discovery of Suzanne's classes some six years ago. I've since taken numerous group and individual classes that she's offered and have improved to an extent that I wouldn't have thought possible, both technically and from a composition standpoint. The Zoom classes she's been providing during the cloistered COVID period are always well-attended and have been a lifeline for continuing to pursue a shared passion.
Judy Miller: During this time of the pandemic, I’ve really enjoyed taking Suzanne’s photography classes via Zoom. It’s so nice to have a creative outlet. Suzanne is an excellent teacher, and I’ve learned so much from her! It’s also great to see classmates’ photos during the critiques. I highly recommend Suzanne’s classes!
Roberta Unger: Suzanne has been my photography teacher and mentor for several years. She is an exceptionally talented photographer and skilled instructor. Suzanne has helped me to become a more creative and patient photographer, and has guided me to see the world with a photographer's eye. Her format is unique and makes learning fun. She also has a way of bringing students together to offer critiques in a sensitive and constructive way. Study with Suzanne Merritt. I know that you will be happy you did.
Frank Kautz: Just enjoyed the first half of a great Zoom meeting with Suzanne. The first half was a great instructional session, the second half is where we get to show and review our photos.
John Courtney: I enjoyed my time with Suzanne in Boston. She was very patient and accommodating with me to set up the appointment. Suzanne offered suggestions that will help improve my skills as well as be more aware and appreciative of the art others compose. I am super happy with the results I've had since meeting with her.
Alexa Beaudry: Suzanne was so helpful, kind and patient with me during our private session. She is everything you could ask for in a teacher!! I would 100% recommended her.
Peg OConnor: Suzanne got me so excited to start using my new camera! Thanks to Suzanne I now have new approach to taking photos and and as well as an appreciation of what makes a good photo.
Erin Colgan: Suzanne was a great instructor and really helped me to learn how to use my camera in a way that I have been hoping to for many years. She was very detailed and I loved that she would give me a lesson and then help with with instruction at our next session based on what I had taken pictures of.
Cynthia Tokos: Took a class with Suzanne on Sunday. I really like her focus on mindful photography; the time was well-planned and I took home new ways of seeing.
Jean Beach: As an amateur photographer who relys mostly on my cell phone for pictures I was looking for help navigating my DSLR. Suzanne’s instruction was so helpful during our first lesson. She is professional, friendly and very informative. I enjoyed her feedback and look forward to working with her again.I had the opportunity to join a recent Meetup in Chinatown that Suzanne organized and was blown away by the level of detail that she provided to the class. From a comfortable meeting place, to instruction on camera settings, tips on where to be for the best photos, describing the events of the day so we knew what to look for, checking in with us throughout the day, it was all a great experience that I hope to repeat at other group events she sponsors.
Frank Lee: I was impressed with the presentation by Susan Merritt (curious Soul photo school). I walked in for my session she introduced herself it was a very informal session which I liked. I was very comfortable she was on time and started out with questions to see how much I knew about the camera and based on the knowledge of my experience. Then she took her time to explain the different functions of the camera. I felt she was very knowledgeable about what she was explaining and I never felt rushed during the session this was a great experience. I knew nothing about this camera and I tell you when I left I was pleased. She really takes her time to show you different functions and to top it off she didn't just let me wander away after the session, she invited me out to take a couple of photo shots with the camera and explain the in and out related to the shots it was a great session I can't wait for the next session once I get this first session down to level 10 thank you Susan great teacher. Thank you if i was to rate this experience it's a 10Thank you
Beth Crastnopol: Working with Suzanne has brought my photography skills to a new level. I started taking her workshops a few years ago and each time found myself learning new ways to ‘see’ and capture what I see. Recently, I have been learning with Suzanne in private lessons. Suzanne’s approach to use mindfulness as a tool to take photographs has taken me from the stage of ‘spray and pray’ where I would get one good photo out of hundreds, to being able to mindfully compose and shoot photos that are keepers. I highly recommend photographers of all levels to take classes at Curious Soul Photography – you will not be disappointed.

Boston Photography Workshops: what do users think?
Olivia Harris: I really enjoyed my course with Boston Photography Workshops. It was a nice sized interactive group setting. I felt like I got a great understanding in 3.5 hours with a manageable amount of information but didn't feel overloaded. I'm looking forward to taking future classes with Boston Photography!
Maddie Conway O'Reilly: I appreciated that they met everyone where we were are at with our equipment and experience—there was no pressure to have to use one brand or type, or even to already know about the camera you have. I felt the workshop covered a manageable amount of content and liked that it involved hands-on practice and provided an easy framework for practicing outside of class to master the skills. I walked away feeling I could more easily use my camera to take the pictures I want to take.
Jen Vogel: The beginner photography class was great! I can’t wait to practice what I learned. Chris was an awesome teacher. I can finally take my camera of the auto setting!!
Natalia M Bard: Fantastic Digital Cameras 1 workshop. This 3.5-hour class goes by in a flash and provides much more than an introduction. You will walk out understanding the difference between exposure, aperture and ISO, and get inspired by their complex interactions. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Chris!
Brenna Carney: Amazing! Hands on, helpful, and soooo informative!
Yaz Ketcherside: My friend and I signed up for the Digital Cameras 1 class with Chris and OMG! Not only did I think Chris was an incredible teacher, but the class was super interesting. It didn’t feel like 3.5 hours, it flew by. Chris was super hands on and patient. I walked out feeling much more confident in my photography abilities and will be signing up for more!Attached are two pictures I took of flowers in a planter and the third pic is of the classroom for reference!
Nick DeSouza: I cannot... CANNOT recommend Boston Photography Studio Enough. I took my first class there this weekend. The class size was small and intimate allowing for a real personalized experience. The instructor Sami was so informative, and knowledgeable and very helpful in getting you a strong foundation for what you are interested in shooting. I learned so much, and they made it so easy to understand. They are a small business and were very appreciate of each person's patronage in the class. I will undoubtedly be taking future classes with them! If i could give them 10 Stars I would
Vivian Thompson: I took the Digital Cameras I one day workshop and I loved it. My instructor was Chris, he really took the time to explain the basic features of the camera and to help us understand how to use it better. The material of the class and his way of teaching are great, he offers practical exercises as well, this was also very helpful. I was so happy that I already subscribed to other workshops.
David J: I took Digital Photography I, it was perfect. I went in knowing nothing about how to operate my mirrorless camera and came away with the tools to practice and grow in my skills. Would recommend for anyone curious about what shutter speed, aperture, and ISO and how to use them.
George D: This class was well-executed in every way. Haley was friendly, professional, and took the time to thoroughly answer our questions. I would definitely take another class at BPW.
Josh Noel: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueI attended one of these workshops, it was fantastic!
Seth Kessler: Took the Night Photography course and, within the two hour span, I went from feeling hesitant about my skills in that arena to feeling quite confident! Haley was a very motivating and well-informed instructor who took the time to walk us through any issues we were having and offer easy-to-grasp explanations. Also, the night time urban exploration aspect of this class was very fun! Will definitely be taking another one of their classes.
Riad Cachecho: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Valerie Stephens: BPW's digital photography in-person course with Maria was phenomenal. It was a great introduction for those who have DSLR or mirrorless cameras that want to learn more about how a camera functions, its history and how to properly use it. Maria offered a lot of information in one class though delivered it in a way that was accessible and easy to digest. The advice given and insight received will go on well beyond the class. It's a very exciting and supportive community to become a part of in Boston.
Amanda Doyle: Positive:Quality,Value
alba gutierrez: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI took the Night Photography workshop, and it was amazing! First time doing a photography course, I learned a lot about my camera, and how to take good pictures at night! Instructors were just amazing! It was my first class, but for sure will not be the last one!
Nicole Maguire: I attended the Digital Photography I Class on 8/2/20 with Sami. I was nervous going into Boston with everything going on with COVID but they far exceeded my expectations at how clean and professional everything was. We each had our own desks spaced far apart with water, hand sanitizer, and tissues, everyone wore their masks, and if we needed help she wore gloves to handle our camera. I went into the class knowing the information that was going to be taught (I have tried teaching myself via YouTube and the internet) but not completely comfortable. This class took me right over to feeling confident in using my camera. I appreciate the examples, and the way the class was taught (more conversational than sitting through a lecture). Sami took the time to learn my specific interests in photography, and gave me some resources and suggestions. It was a fun, informative class and I'm excited to take another class. Thank you.
Bill Nikolis: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueGreat Class. Sam the instructor knows what she doing.I felt safe and throughly enjoy the class. I would recommend this class to anyone interested in digital photography.
Raymond Russell: This was the first photo composition class that I have taken and it was an excellent experience! Tony and Gaby did a great job organizing the walking tour and working with each of us individually to improve our composition skills. I plan on taking their night photography course in the near future. The small group format (there were 3 students and 2 leaders) worked incredibly well in the setting of social distancing.
Danielle Turner: Food Photography I was an amazing class! If you are interested in getting into photography or looking for a fun course to take I would highly recommend! Staff/ instructors are welcoming, friendly and very helpful!
Wonder Woman: What a wonderful class! Chris was fantastic and Gabby equally so! Both were incredibly informative, patient, and insightful. I will definitely be taking more classes with them.

Hunt's Photo & Video: what do users think?
Alexander James L: The pros:Staff are open and honest about their pricing for second hand, so you know what kind of deal you're getting.Lots of film available, though the mark up is a little pricy.Staff are generally friendly when selling you something, but this is to be expected. The cons :Film development here is really expensive given how slow it is, even if you don't get scans. Also, it took four weeks for my rolls to come back which is somewhat absurd. I was told this was because they're sent off to another lab when pushed, but I was given a timeline of one to two weeks at the store.Worst of all, one of the rolls I got back was completely blacked out, even the coding along the sides. Store staff first said it was due to camera not exposing, but this would produce the opposite effect of clear negatives with the side coding visible. The only conclusion I can come to (this was a roll of hp5 I had bought from here) is that the lab they sent the rolls too had messed up this particular one. If it had been the fault of the camera I'd expect each frame to be black respectively but the coding should be easily readable if developed properly. Given that the entire roll was black this indicates the film has been exposed to light out of the canister prior to development and the lab is likely at fault. I was just told by staff it's probably my cameras fault and that was that. Wasn't offered any other sort of compensation.... Wouldnt come back for film related items, there are other local labs that are cheaper with better service.
Jacob Heyerly: Came in 15 minutes to close. I’m new to photography, needed a sensor cleaning, Alex taught me how to do it. Great service, very nice even near closing, knowledgeable staff, quick, and came out with something learned. 10/10
Javier Rosa: Love this location!! Great staff, service and gear!
Chris Ferry: Great local store for your photography and videography needs! The staff is excellent and they transferred a product from a different store to my local location for pickup. They sell both new and used gear and have a good selection of products that you really want to see and handle before buying. For example, holding and trying on a backpack is a better experience than trying to gauge from just measurements and photos.Overall, I highly recommend this shop for any photography needs your might have!
Long Tran: First time develop my film, the staff very friendly and answers all my questions
maxwell: great shop with really helpful employees and great prices! i brought film in to be developed and one of the rolls came back blank. they gave me a refund for it! the others places i’ve gotten film developed at havent done that so it was unexpected but really appreciated! i will definitely be getting my film developed here from now on. only took a week to get my scans back too!
Ethan Valery: Great customer service, saw to all my needs and helped me with a issue with my lens great selection of both used and new lens
J.S. Kullar (kullarclicks): Professional service for me, asked for a filter on two occasions. They always keep the order ready on time, prices could be a bit higher than Amazon.
Fiona Brown: I had the best experience with everyone at Hunt’s. They looked at my camera and tried to fix it for me. When they couldn’t find an immediate solution they gave me multiple options on what my next steps could be. I am currently working on my capstone and I needed a camera ASAP. They were able to order me a camera that is better than my current one for a cheaper price than what I paid for my previous camera. I went to pick it up after a few days once it came in and it was amazing quality. They are the kindest people I have ever met and made the stressful task of getting a new camera simple and pleasurable. They went above and beyond. I am extremely impressed by and thankful for them. They now have another loyal customer, I will be going back to them anytime I need anything else.
Nicole: The staff at Hunt’s was exceptionally professional and patient with me as I struggled to download printable copies of photos to print. In addition, upon picking up my prints, I realized that I mistakenly sent the wrong photo. Alex quickly responded very graciously and had my new prints ready within an hour. The service is above and beyond, and the prints are of high quality. I will continue to use Hunt’s for all my printing and camera meds.
Caleb Peck: Went in to pick up some photo paper for a critique I had in the afternoon. David and Alex were both exquisite and helped me find exactly what I needed. Excellent store!
Marie Froemmrich: Adaptation to previous review about lighting and resolution of passport photos. I specifically decided to get my photos taken here because I‘m a relatively regular customer and have always been very happy with their services, products, recommendations and especially friendly and efficient customer service- so was very confident that i would get good quality photos here. Initially I wasn’t very happy with the resolution of the photos and lighting and left a review here. A day later I received a call from them apologizing, offering a refund and outlining changes that were made to the setup.I really appreciated the follow up from them and that they immediately worked on improving the service. Would go back to get photos taken there and reliably always my go to for all things camera related in Boston.
Anna Macdonald: Lost my film - not sure how film gets lost at a business which deals exclusively with film but I still haven't gotten my film back.
ozcan demirdag: this place is absolute GARBAGE. DO NOT GO. they will make it their mission to loose your film. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. waste of money. the staff is incredibly rude, have no knowledge on anything, and will make it their mission to sabotage your film. THEY LOOSE FILM CONSTANTLY.
Ilayda Demirdag: DO NOT GO. DO NOT SEND YOU FILM. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING. they will loose your film. staff is so incredibly rude. will purposefully sabotage your film. seriously needs to be shut down.
samuel diaz: Tienda de cámaras fotográficas y acesorios. Muy amablemente los empleados.
Brian Coiro: Great customer service at the end of the day. Highly recommend hunts over all for not only that but their expertise
Meraj Ramezani: Great service!
Qwik Labs: Horrible. They would charge you 6 to 10 times higher than the initial price they told you. They also try to fool you. Two pictures (half size than A4 paper )( just print) (they are identical) were charged two times of 30 dollars ( They tried to fool you and said they are different to charge you higher price to ripe you off. They charged you service fee although you are not taking pictures there( just printing). Horrible experience!
Muhieddine Labban: The worst passport photo I have ever gotten! They have no light set up and terrible resolution. Your photo will have shadows, and the colors will be pale. Do not go there! Use your iPhone instead and save your money. Also, it did not fit the requirements. The digital picture they sent us was also a scanned image of the poorly printed photos

Kate L Photography: what do users think?
Helenia Solimini: Kate photographed our newborn son this past September and our experience with her was absolutely wonderful. She was so patient and kind during our photo session even though our son was very uncooperative. He cried most of the session, but in between bouts of crying Kate was able to capture many beautiful images for us. Very thankful to have had her capture this special time in our lives through her amazing photography!
Lisa Zhang: It was such a joy to have Kate photograph our family, and she did such a wonderful job capturing such amazing shots of our 6-month-old baby. I knew that I loved her photography style from her website, but was also very pleased by her organization and attention to detail in our communications leading up to the photoshoot. I don't have much experience being photographed and had anxiety about the location, choosing outfits, whether our sometimes-grumpy little boy would smile for the camera, etc. Kate was very reassuring and helped field all of my questions, and she even gave me tips/suggestions to prepare for the photoshoot. The actual hour we spent with her was high energy, fun, and productive! She is professional, loves playing with kids, and great at thinking on her feet. After the session, she kept me updated, delivered the proofs ahead of schedule, and then sent the final product just days afterwards! The photos themselves were absolutely beautiful works of art, and I loved all of them (and now spend my free time looking at them). They really captured genuine smiles and the feelings of joy and love. Overall, I was so impressed with the whole experience!I can't wait to work with Kate again, and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a family photographer!
Sarah Crespi: Kate is amazing! My husband, 16-month old son, and I had a family photo shoot in the Boston Public Garden in June 2019. Not only is Kate an exceptional photographer, she is super organized and has the process laid out so it’s easy if it’s your first time having family photos. I found her session guide incredibly helpful, especially if you’re like me and are clueless regarding outfit coordination and what to do and not do in a photo shoot. I also liked that Kate listed her favorite shoot locations in Boston and that helped in narrowing down our desired location. I also was grateful that Kate went above and beyond in assisting my family with our outfit selection and coordination. I was surprised how quickly Kate answered my emails and the amount of assistance she gave us throughout the process.I don’t know how to pose properly and Kate guided us throughout the entire session. Our session was a combination of both lightly posed and natural candid photos and it was the perfect mix in capturing great photos. I was shocked that I actually felt comfortable during the session and my husband felt the same. Kate did a great job of acting silly and playing with our little one throughout the session. It is clear she loves children and children feel the same about her. My shy boy warmed right up to Kate and she kept him smiling and entertained. Kate is also incredibly skilled in editing the photos to clean up any insecurities you may have (flyaway hair, skin touch-up, etc.). When we received our final photos, I was shocked how beautiful they came out. She captured the playful spirit of our rambunctious toddler and some really sweet moments of the three of us.It is evident that Kate loves what she does and takes great pride in her work. It was clear that her goal was to have us happy with our photos and we were beyond happy with the final product. I highly recommend Kate to capture your family memories!
Didi Theva: I can't say enough amazing things about Kate. She is so incredibly professional, talented and energetic. How she got 50 amazing pictures of my family while my kid just wanted to play with dirt is beyond me. I will be going to back to her again for many more family photo shoots and would recommend her without any hesitation to anyone! Thank you, Kate!!
Spence Merrow: We hired Kate to take family photos of us with our two-month old son and dog. We selected Kate based upon her online reviews and website portfolio but the final product that we received far exceeded our expectations. So much so that we ultimately upgraded our package since we couldn't possibly choose from the photos she took. The colors and composition of her work are breathtaking.Neither my husband nor I are familiar with having professional photos taken, however, she could not have made us both more at ease. The session was fun and went very quickly. We have just received our photos yet we have already received many compliments and have even had friends ask for our photographer since they turned out so well.We will certainly use Kate again in the future.
Lauren Killeen: Our family photoshoot with Kate was more than I could have ever hoped for! It is no small feat keeping a 3- and 6-year-old happy and engaged, but my kids had so much fun with Miss Kate that they kept asking when our next play date with her would be! From the moment I first contacted her until the day my final photos were ready for download, Kate was responsive, detail-oriented, full of helpful information, and a pure joy to work with! And the photos? Simply gorgeous. She is incredibly talented and captured my children's personalities beautifully. I wish I had found her sooner, but we'll definitely be working with her again!
Kate Ferrie Byrne: We are so glad we had Kate to do our son’s newborn photos! The session was thoughtfully done and captured multiple angels and poses that we could not be happier with. Kate herself is a pleasure to be around and makes you feel at ease. The end photos were stunning and quickly delivered for such a booked out photographer! Would love to work with her again!
Lena Mirisola: Kate is hands down the BEST family photographer in Boston. She is MAGICAL with kids and knows how to make everyone feel comfortable, silly, and JOYFUL! I couldn't be more grateful to have worked with Kate over the past few years. Her photos are absolutely perfect - colorful, full of sunshine, and packed with REAL smiles and emotion. I totally cried after seeing the images!!!! Will be a lifelong client of Kate L Photography.
Katie Rain: Kate is the best! She is a true artist with such great customer service. We love working with her!
Lauren Duprey: Kate did newborn photos for us, which included our three year old! She was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I reached out to book with her she was responsive, friendly and professional. During the session she was absolutely magic getting all of us, especially the toddler, to pose, laugh, and enjoy ourselves. She made it so easy. The final product photos were incredible. We have done other professional photos before and I can say Kate was the best experience we’ve had. Hope to work with her again!
Korinne Smith: Absolutely THE BEST family photographer! Kate has a superb talent. We feel so strongly about her skills that our family travel 400 miles every other year to do a photoshoot with her. She is Boston's #1 Family Photographer for a reason!
Chad Krueger: Fantastic photographer and a true professional. We loved working with her
Rachel Abell: What a completely joyful experience it has been working with Kate. I invited her into our home when I was 7 months pregnant to take some photos of me and my girls before our little boy arrived in March. The photos she took are stunning and take my breath away every time I look at them. I know I will always treasure them, but I will also always treasure the time we got to spend with Kate. She was warm, funny, sweet, and so relaxed. She put us all at ease, and as the mother of a very wild two year old, I can assure you that is no easy feat. Kate is a complete professional, delivering exactly what she promises, when she promises it, and the entire experience from booking to delivery was easy, fun, and totally worth it. Thanks, Kate!! You are simply the best!!
Jessie Lambert: I seriously cannot express just how amazing Kate is as an artist, professional and simply put, a human being. I scheduled pretty last minute photos with her as a new parent (11 day old infant) and she was incredibly accommodating even with a jam packed photo calendar. Before the shoot, she had a preparatory call with us to get a sense about our style and any sensitivities. On the day of the shoot, she was prompt (even sent us her location from her Uber so we could anticipate her arrival), very thorough (scouted the best light in our apartment and brought great props), and was literally a baby whisperer. We were truly blown away by the entire experience. I have already told her to expect us every year as I just love her aesthetic and her innate ability to capture ours AND honestly, she was just so fun to be around. I have already referred her to some of my friends and look forward to her capturing all of our special moments moving forward.
Sandra Colucci: Kate is absolutely fantastic! Her photos are stunning and she is amazing with children. We have done two photo sessions with her (one with a 3 month old and then at 1 year) and both times I was completely blown away by how accommodating she was to the needs of our little girl, and how hard she worked to make sure she was having a good time. We will definitely be returning!
Janeen Kelleher: Working with Kate was an absolute delight. Our experience was great during every step of the process (from the consultation phone call to the day of shoot to the end product). She did a great job of keeping a 6 month old engaged and the pictures came out amazing. We will definitely be using her again in the future.
Alise&Randy Law: Kate is an amazing photographer, more importantly, she was fabulous to work with and made our photo shoot comfortable and fun. Thanks Kate for giving us these memorable pictures that we can’t wait to share with our family and friends!
i dks: My family really loved her personality and the finalized photos. She is an amazing photographer, and we will absolutely ask her another photo session later. We were really fortunate to have her in our family life. Thank you so much. Kate!
Jessica Petrus: Kate is truly exceptional! Her keen eye and attention to the tiniest details made all the differences in my headshot results. She really set me up for success, from the moment I signed to work with her, to the final touch-ups of my photos. She was 100% committed to making me look and feel my best, and I couldn't be happier with my experience.
Lucy Turner: Working with Kate was an absolute dream! She made our two hour shoot not just tolerable, but so much fun. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully! Her turn around time was quick and her prices are super reasonable. I have literally nothing but great things to say about Kate and I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
Elizaveta Freinkman: We had a wonderful experience working with Kate for our family photos. We are a family of four, with both kids under the age of three. Kate was extremely organized and responsive throughout the process of planning our photo session, including helping us choose our location and outfits. At the photo session itself, Kate's energy, friendliness, and ability to elicit genuine smiles and laughs from our kids (and us) made for a wonderful time! As a result, our photos are not only technically amazing, but also full of warmth and joy, just as we were hoping they would be. I would absolutely recommend Kate to anyone, especially families with children, wishing to invest in the highest-quality photos.

Joe St.Pierre Photography: what do users think?
Brayan Mesa: I’ve worked with Joe on multiple food photoshoots in Boston and I’m always amazed by his work and work ethic. Not only is Joe a master at his craft, but he is personable and always brings great energy onto every photoshoot which makes all the difference, especially on long shoot days.
Matthew Sobanko: Working with Joe has been nothing short of a great time! He's always going above and beyond and has worked great with clients. If you're looking for quality photoshoots in NYC, Joe is your guy!
Holly Hancock: The siggi's creative team recently had the opportunity to work with Joe and his team for a product-focused and lifestyle shoot. Joe and his team are extremely talented, very easy to work with, and captured above and beyond what we had hoped for, even with the location changes. The final images turned out beautifully and the team perfectly captured the art direction for our new product launch, Rich & Creamy. It was a pleasure collaborating with Joe and his team, and we look forward to working with him again!
Allison Good: Joe's photos are incredible. He has an impeccable eye. I worked with him for two restaurant interior shoots and he was extremely professional, prompt, and above all, talented! We are thrilled with the photos from our work with Joe.
Amanda Arrigotti: My team and I have worked with Joe on multiple product and lifestyle photoshoots. Joe is incredibly talented, professional, and creative. His work is always loved by our clients! He is also incredibly efficient with our time without sacrificing quality. His ability to move from one set to another is very impressive! Joe is fantastic!
Katie Piepiora: Joe has supported our brand on multiple shoots, capturing both hero and behind the scenes videography for digital advertising and organic social. He's professional, easy to work with and delivers quality video content. Highly recommend!
Sam Tiscia: We partnered with Joe on a photoshoot for one of our clients. He was punctual, efficient and professional, yet still brought a contagious, fun energy to the shoot. We loved his ideas on the fly - and he definitely had captured exactly what we were trying to do for the shoot. Worked great with the talent and other contractors on set. It's one of our favorite shoots to date and we're looking forward to working with him again!
Emma Jim's Organic: Professional shoot, beautiful photography! Will continue to work with Joe in the future.
Kristen Enright: Joe was fantastic! He took photos for my company's new product launch and they came out so good that we revised a lot of our presentation templates to highlight his product photos. He was professional, easy to work with, and had great ideas that we implemented on the spot. We hired him again a couple of months after our first shoot and will absolutely hire him for our future shoots. 10/10 recommend!
Alison Giunta: Each and every time I work with Joe I feel at ease, knowing that beautiful photography is the end product. He has a way of working that is cool, calm and collected which makes a long day seem easy and stress free. Joe is flexible, hard working and ultimately very gifted at what he does. These reasons are why I go straight to Joe when planning shoots for Patina Restaurant Group.
Matthew Brodeur: Mr. JSP is one of those highly talented, creative and professional photographers that you rarely come across. He is humble, listens to concerns, comments and questions. I have worked with Joe for the last three years on countless projects all over the country and the results are always the same. Phenomenal work, quick turnaround, and a true joy to work with.
Mike Neilan: Joe's work is top-notch! If you're looking for a food photographer in the Boston area, I would highly recommend him. He pays close attention to detail, is very creative, and responsive.
Justin Hautaniemi: Joe is extremely talented and a pleasure to work with.
Kristin Javaras: We worked with Joe to photograph 200+ foods for use in an NIH-funded research study. Joe was very accommodating with respect to scheduling and able to tolerate the long hours and obsessive level of standardization and detail required for scientific research. We were extremely happy with how good the foods appeared in the photographs and felt like they were excellent value!
Charley Cummings: Joe is awesome to work with - super flexible, rolls with the punches when you don't quite have your act together, and tends to take beautiful photos too. He is especially good at portraits and close up product shots - highly recommend him to folks in the food industry and elsewhere!
jeffrey bouchard: I recently worked with Joe on a lifestyle shoot on location in Providence, RI and couldn't be happier with the shots we captured. I look forward to working with him again.
Tarra Marino: Working with Joe was a wonderful experience. He was completely professional and a total team player. He helped make a hectic shoot day a success and the work turned out beautiful.
Michele Snow: Working with Joe makes a shoot day simple and fun. He has a talent for studio lighting and a passion for food photography, but easily transitions to shooting interiors or still life. He's a real asset to any team or project!
Sarah Barr: Joe and I have worked together for several years now. His food photos are guaranteed to make you hungry. He's super talented plus an all-around great guy to spent a photoshoot day with!
CAI Managed IT: I've hired Joe for a number of projects, from corporate staff photograophy to client testimonial videos. His work is impeccable! I would easgerly recommend Joe to anyone looking for top-notch work.

Lifetouch: what do users think?
Little Panda: My preschool program booked a graduation picture day this morning and we had a terrible experience with LifeTouch. The photographer arrived almost 2 hours late, and bad attitude. He didn’t want to set up the equipment and complained the room was not big enough, but we use the same room to take pictures with LifeTouch for 5 years, this room worked before. Then I called one staff Tanaya, she told me to cancel or reschedule the picture day; and then I called the account specialist, she was yelling at me on the phone because i complained her staffs. No professional at all, no good responsibility! Mean and rude! I won’t use LifeTouch anymore!
Better Fancy: This company has been around for years. My don had pictures taken back in November to which I never received. I put a request in for them to be resent and have received anything.
Missy Poste (Missy): If I could rate them zero stars, I would. Every single year I order school photos online, and every year I have to call because when the photos are delivered to the school (two months after they are taken) we can an envelope stating we didn't purchase any. Every single time I call and provide my confirmation number, get a phony apology, and then wait another month to receive my order. They always state it will be resolved for next time, and so far we are 0 for 7 times here. The best they offer is a 'free digital photo' which is useless since I paid for the package with the digital image in it already.
Cindy Kough: Good place

Hunt's Photo and Video: what do users think?
Alpha Artisan: Best camera store in New England. They have a huge selection of photography and videography equipment. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. I always leave knowing more, and with the right products in hand. 10/10 would recommend.
Jeff Nealon: You name it, they've got it. If they don't, they'll get it for you. Super knowledgeable staff who couldn't be nicer.
Bruce Fagerstrom: I haven't rented gear from them yet but wanted to note how helpful they were via email discussing options. They did this even though it was "after hours." Fast responses.
Nikita S: Helpful staff. Keep an eye out for good deals on gear!
Shawn Duggan: Just dealt with a Matt with online sales. Very positive experience. Purchased a Zoom H8. Got me a great deal. Very easy to work with and knowledgeable. Great customer service.
Sravya Khasnavees: got a used camera body and lens here, and everyone was very knowledgeable. great shop
Keith Soares: Great service, great options.
Alanna Smith: Just visited Hunt's for the second time, and had another awesome experience. The first time I visited, I was buying my first mirrorless camera, and the gentleman who helped me really listened to what I was looking for, and let me test out different bodies and lenses to find the one that worked. Today I went in looking for a tripod, and was helped by Felix and Gregg. They were awesome. They helped me find tripods in my budget, but when I expressed that I was afraid my budget was limiting me to heavy tripods, they told me they had a used carbon fiber tripod in stock for a little above my budget. It ended up being a perfect fit and a great deal considering the high quality. I never felt like I was being pushed toward anything unnecessary or expensive—they obviously wanted to help me find what worked for my needs.(Felix and Gregg also showed me examples of their own photography, which was beautiful. It's nice to know that the people helping you are true experts in the field!)
greg sorozan: I've been very fortunate to have had 5 excellent conversations with 5 different salespeople. Each was very helpful and clearly knowledgeable on Topics that brought me to the store. Hunts is my primary resource for gear and information.
Michael Pessin: Amazing Service 👏 ...!Brilliant salespeople, they're knowledge of the various product lines is practically unmatched.I bought my very first camera 📷 from the Hunts team many, many years ago.I can't say enough about everyone who welcome me back after all those photograph taking years had past...!Thank you HuntsMike Pessin★★★★★ [5 of 5 stars 🌟]
Aleksandr Castillo: The Sony consultant was really helpful and knowledgeable.
Javier Rosa: One of the best stores in the area!! And great staff!! Bery helpful!
David Degner: They are often better than the NYC based stores and much more convenient.
Mark: It's an amazing place for all your photo and video needs! This Hunts is huge and has so much to offer. Not only is the staff super friendly and helpful but it's also very knowledgeable and have the knowledge to know exactly what is needed on the camera bag or equipment. Will always/already have mentioned this to so many people!
Wynter Aiguier: Picked up my first camera.. great service and staff
Skip Tweed: Always so helpful! Best place to shop for a camera and talk to professionals!!!
George Newton Jr: Great selection and service.
Terence Donovan: I love this place! Everyone there is so knowledgeable and helpful. As a neophyte on my first visit, rather than sell me a new teleconverter, Rebecca gave me some tips that made a big difference. I’ve since gone back many times for gear and classes, transitioning from a picture-taker to photographer.
Matthew D.: Store has everything you need. Can see if the item is in stock on their website too. So you’ll know if you have to go to one store or another.
Amy Fanton: Very friendly and helped me find what I was looking for without hesitation.
Timothy Pacheco: I've rented video packages from Hunts Melrose. Andrew is typically the one who takes of getting everything ready for me.Hes able to answer all my questions, make recommendations and is a huge help.Ill continue coming here.
