Cory Blamire: Came for the Pro Member exclusive PS5 drop, camped out for two hours before open (unnecessary, only a single other person showed up early, at 20 minutes of) and was in & out with no hassle within five minutes of the door being unlocked. Associate was efficient and professional. Only complaint is would've liked an oversized bag to conceal the goods and not have to worry about getting jacked in the parking lot. 😅

John Ovesen: My local Gamestop has pretty cool workers and since the Downtown Crossing location recently closed it's the only Gamestop location I shop at. I'll buy the newest game here and shop the clearance T shirt rack here and pick up a ton of Marvel Legends figures here simply because Gamestop tends to get them earlier than other stores and their online deals tend to be the best out there! The fact a McDonald's and Pope Eye's Chicken is nearby is also a plus. But this Roslindale store has helped me build my Marvel Legends collection over the years! I pop in from time to time to see what new is in or what has hit the clearance rack. I like the store.

Faith Mascoll: Ordered a game through the gamestop's website and had made an order for 2 games to be delivered the same day. When I had ordered the games I had 1 hour to place the order which I did it within that time limit, and had more than 4 hours before the store closed which it closes at 9pm (as said on the website) but by 7pm I have "dashers" contacting me that the store is closed. Now I have to contact both gamestop and doordash to have my order canceled. A waste of time and money. At least let the place you work for know if you are closed.

The staff is awful and shady here. The store itself is kept dirty, the game collection is very low and the customer service is the WORST!

But when I came to pick it up, I discovered that the sales people had sold my copy to somebody else without calling me or letting me know. Avoid this place if you're a serious collector of limited editions.
Olive Day: GameStop is a good place to shop for games, merchandise and collectibles. I always go to GameStop and it's my home away from home.
Stathis Karatsiolis: Horrible experience. Pre-ordered a game which was unreasonably delayed. Website has not even updated about the delivery even though I received the game .On top of that additional preorder bonuses where not included even though it was advertised so.Totally scammed. Other retailers are way more consistent and transparent with orders.This is not the first time GameStop has been inconsistent with their online presence.

Karissa Parker: Horrendous customer service! I am a member and if I don't use my monthly $5 coupon I usually transfer it to my Nintendo account for my switch. They refused to do the transfer at first, but then when I pressed them stated that if I wanted to do the transfer I would have to buy a gift card first, which is absolutely ridiculous. I left and went to my usual store (Dedham) and they were able to complete the transfer for me. I’ve also successfully done this in the Braintree store. I was told this location in Brookline tends to give customers trouble. Staff and manager here needs training ASAP!!!

Flex Baker: The employees were very prejudice. Practically mocked me for casually looking at the clearance section after they told me they didnt have any usb cables on clearance and looked at me like i was crazy for asking them if they had any. They were very rude. They tried to dictate my experience and my purchase. I usually get psn cards printed out on receipt and it gets added to my profile online in case i lose the receipt. This white dude was not letting go the fact that he wanted to force me to buy it in physical card form instead. I asked him 3 times and it got me angry that he would not listen to my request. To not waste my time foolishly i ended up buying the card and felt violated. I called them out for how they treated me, we argued, and it got racist. Im very visibly hispanic and they made a remark about my skin being white and that im whiter than them. And that was the MANAGER. the manager then proceeds to say im no longer welcomed to HIS store. He acted as if he OWNS gamestop. I spoke to gamestop corporation about this and luckily they now allow using your pro rewards credit online. Downtown had the best gamestop but sadly it closed down. And gamestop is pretty much dead to me now. There's way better deals at other places like Best Buy Target Walmart Amazon. As gamers say now, no one buys discs anymore neither. Although gamestop sometimes do have good specials the savings ARE NOT WORTH THE COSTS OF TRAVEL HERE OR WORTH DEALING WITH YOUNG PREJUDICE AIRHEADS. Online is better. Truth be told. All they have is straight junk you're gonna want to get rid of in 2 years. Nothing worth buying. There's a reason their stocks originally tanked. Everything i bought from these stores im now trying to get rid of lol.

I worked with Jake who outlined the process very clearly, displayed incredible professionalism, and honestly the best customer service I've received anywhere since arriving to Boston. I will be coming to this Gamestop for all of my gaming needs. These guys actually care about their customers and I am so impressed.

I am a mug-addicted and I found GREAT mugs there. Beside, unrelated stuff I mentioned, there are many games to choose for PS4-5. Also, the shopkeeper was very helpful.
Jake Lopez: Don’t know why reviews are saying customer service is horrible, I had a fantastic experience when I went to trade in a console and some games. The staff (Jake) was incredibly helpful, kind, and I was incredibly lucky enough to have also been able to use the in store credit toward a Nintendo Switch! Love the store, and seeing as how this is the last one in the Boston area, I’d call it a treasure!
A K: When I went here the employees were openly discussing how they used to rip people off by selling bogus "warranties". All gamestops will upsell you hard. It's to be expected, that's how they stay in the black. Most are not this pushy or underhanded about it. If you're going to shop here, be prepared to say no thank you, I'm not interested.

M K: Website shows inventory, says available for pickup no inventory at store. Waste of time and gasoline. Do no recommend, definitely call before wasting time to go here. Website inventory is not real.Employee was unhelpful. I suggested changing the stock availability to “out of stock”, at least to help some other people. She said she didn’t manage the website, and took no initiative to call or report the stock issue. Very poor customer service overall.

Randy Hurley: Just Stafford decent but never happy, place is always understaffed or representatives are always too busy trying to help customers are there issues. The one benefit is they do try to help people with technical work, which in all reality you should have technicians in every store that will bring them in so if you can’t fix the system can always upgrade to another.

The manager he was speaking with would probably not be ok with him ignoring customers and much less with them on the phone. Once I noticed the conversation was going to continue--without a pause to at least acknowledge me standing right in front of him--I walked out. And he still didn't even bother calling me back to offer help.

Alex Pihlak: I've been going to Gamestop since it was called EB Games. I've never had a more pleasant experience than just now when I traded in my PS4 at this Gamestop. The employee, DeSean, was extremely professional processing my trade in, and I ended up getting a little more than I expected. DeSean and I then started talking about games. I told him I just got a PS5, and that I wasn't too hip in the gaming scene. He recommended some games with his own personal experience, and guided me in the right direction without being overbearing at all. He really knew his stuff. I felt very welcome, and it was perfect timing since I was having a terrible day. Will be going back to this Gamestop solely now.

Mike Byrne: Have seen some complaints about experiences with the staff but those are opposite to my experience- have only had good interactions with everyone who works there. This GameStop is pretty small, and things can move slow sometimes, but I’ve really only seen that happen when a staff member is being helpful for a needy customer and taking time to answer questions. I like this location and the staff.

And she just said “sometimes the system is wrong.” But when I called last night i was told it would be on hold for me. This is ridiculous. I couldn’t reserve the copy only so I called to put it aside, now magically they don’t have it. This GameStop is a scam.

nicole cincotta: I needed to go in stir to get assistance with the online V-bucks I purchased two days earlier. The employee that helped me was Andy and he was super nice, an called their help desk an obtained the code for me. I’ve been going to this location for a really long time and never had any issues. They’re always very willing to help and often go above and beyond.
Tim Doolan: Used video games at a reasonable price, and some free resin and weed in the cases so I didn’t have to hit the dispensary on the way home. Who can beat that?
