Club Café: what do users think?
James Fenter: We tried for a few months to reserve the Napoleon room for our reception/celebration in June. We emailed, left vm, and finally called to try to communicate with someone. We finally got through to a very disinterested individual who told us to email the same address we’d been emailing without success or call the same number we’d been getting no return calls from.Told him to forget it. We’ll go elsewhere. It’s too bad. I’ve enjoyed many dinners and events at Club Cafe, our 1st date was there. But I’m taking the disregard personally. Not that they care.
George Christou: A fantastic venue to visit particularly for LGBTQ+ people. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious with generous portions, and there is always something happening. Maybe a few too many things! Just visit and you'll know what I mean.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
BLUF 4273: I loved the tea dance on Sundays before the pandemic. I went three times at the beginning of 2023 only to find the dance floor almost empty, discouraging me from continuing. Before the pandemic, the tea dance was from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and until midnight on some occasions like Labor Day weekend. Now it’s from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I don’t know if that change corresponds to a lower clientele. Please reply if someone has more information about the Sunday tea dance after the pandemic. I look forward to having fun again.
Noor Farhat: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Andre Kurlovs: Some of the rudest and most unreasonable bouncers/ security guards I have ever experienced, which is especially surprising given that this establishment claims to be inclusive. Check out the other one star reviews. There is a theme emerging here.
Lucila Valena: Me echaron xq a una amiga le cayó mal laComida. Y encima les pedía la reglamentación y te dicen googlea la un desastre.
Eric Buzard: Went for the club portion after 10pm. No lines early in the night to get in but still plenty of people already dancing. A friend who came later did experience a line to get in, so keep that in mind. Also, cover was $15 each person but an ATM is inside the door if you forgot to bring cash. Drinks were reasonably priced for a big city and the bartenders were friendly and professional and kept the bars pretty clear of any build up of people thanks to their fast service.
Laura Stringer: Was in town for a few days and this was the closest karaoke near my hotel. Seemed like a lot of regulars who knew each other but also a few one-off folks like me. There were some intimidatingly skilled singers and also a supportive crowd for just belting your heart out even if you can't quite find the note. Will definitely go back if I'm around again on a Wednesday night!
Evangeline Durand: Food is great, my black friends get profiled every time we go, the dj is ASSSSS
Rafael Polidoro (polidorobio): Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Manuel A Báez (Manni): Good food, great drinks and entertainment.
Librería Lamertoniana: This is a place where everyone can be themselves. I love it. I will defend it because they are fighting so hard to stay in the business and offer good food, good drinks, good service and disco. They have to improve their advertisements. I suggest they use eventbrite also to promote events and that they create more content on instagram and tik tok. I love them deeply.
Diego Garrido: There is always a good memory in this place. Family, community, relations, you can find here a good food and a safe place to be yourself. For sure, you have to have boundaries and respect, but i have seen and met wonderful people. I had my best experiences there.
jp pasche: Fun, fun, fun!
Amy Jean Kachinski: Great for a first time out, mild atmosphere.Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Horace Ramos: It was a nice vibe at 1st... then unexpectedly my friend got cut off on his 2nd drink of the night... I tried to ask why and they said it was the managers call... I tried to reason that it was only going to be our 2nd drink... but decided it wasn't worth the argument.
Kelley Leonard: Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
naomi stuart: Friendly atmosphere, really tasty food and staff were also friendlyFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Amber Sullivan: Loved it, great experience,Boston fun...definitely recommend..Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Maggie Morio: Great food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is amazing in the Napoleon Room, which is basically a cabaret style entertainment. The pianist is extraordinary talented and members of the audience come prepared with the score and start singing the American song book. The atmosphere is amazing and you forget all your troubles that you may had that day. Go check it out.

Cathedral Station: what do users think?
Arnab Majumdar: I heard it was closing soon? I say "good riddance!"
Katelyn Bodwell: Went for karaoke night on a Tuesday and had so much fun! The bartenders were great! The place is pretty big, has lots of tables, a patio, and a pool table.
C: HORRIBLE food service. The wait staff couldn’t have been any more disrespectful! Will avoid in the future.
Lauren Simpson: This place ran my friend’s credit card for another party’s tab after she had closed out and gone home. The bill was over $1100 and when contacted, the owner refused to admit any fault. This is despicable behavior. Shame on them. How did they still have access to her credit card information??
Olivia Breen: If I could rate 0 stars I would. As a member of Boston’s queer community it makes me sad to do this but I would never patronize this place again. My wife went there after a work event and had drink with a coworker. A couple days later she noticed there was a charge of OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS on her card in addition to her actual very small bill. Somehow they charged someone else’s massive order to her card and refuse to make it right. The signature for the 1000 dollar charge is for when she was already home in bed (with the Lyft receipt to prove it) but they still refuse to correct their error. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Management was nice about it and wanted to remedy it but owner would not. Take your business elsewhere.
Carlos: The food is delicious and the drinks are amazing! The atmosphere is great and the staff are top notch fun!
Lee Etsitty: Great gay friendly bar and restaurant. We had fish tacos and the fish & chips, both were delicious. Good selection of beers on tap.
Krissy Govertsen: Very limited vegetarian options. Good luck if you are vegan.
Steven Page: We always stop in for a drink. The bartenders are awesome! Tonight we thought we would get a table and have something to eat. What a difference experience. It was not busy at all. 20 min before the server noticed we where even there after being seated by the hostess. Ok we gave him a pass but then after it felt like we were a bother. No eye contact no interaction. The food came out fast from the runner. We will not eat in the dining area again. But will certainly go back to the bar!
Oneil Carter: My first night back from traveling across Africa and Europe. Rob made my night by actually interacting with me. If you want a bar with a homey feeling, definitely check this place out. I highly recommend it, especially if you're new to Boston.
Kimberly Nicolette Whatley: Very fun and chill vive. Yazul and Sean were very friendly and made our time there greatWill definitely come back
Cy Chan: Fun spot I started to go to a few months ago due to friends for Tuesday karaoke.
André Ribeiro (Andreams): Beautiful place for who want to get out of the traffic in the city and relax have a drink and play pool. The management and staff is very friendly and I am glad I come by to check that out.First was okay ops just kidding hahaha, very good turkey melt you need to try for sure.Really the quesadilla need be good too, I thought my fajitas was better… but not the quesadilla is delicious. The joe the bartender is amazing, I will be back.
Shannon White: The servers consistently are HORRIBLE; slow and inattentive and some type of attitude m. The food is nothing more than something from a toaster oven. Pizza is Tombstone brand at best along with everything else is frozen and warmed up. The bartenders snd drinks are amazing, personality, experience and all. Cut the food & wait staff.
Josué Calderón: Terrible service. Skip it. There’s better options in town.
Ture Richard Turnbull: Fun place!
BILL CRUZ: Pésimo estoy aquí ahora mismo , el garcon me a traído la cuenta sin yo lo pedir
Meredith Anderson: I had the slowest service in my life at this place. I don't know what they are doing in the kitchen but it's certainly not preparing people's food promptly.Maybe they are watching TV and cooking during the ads? Either way, don't come to this place if you are hungry or thirsty, or if you want waiters to come to your table.
Matthew J Shochat: Great spot 👏🔥💯👍
Mauro Segabinazzi: This place was nice! The drinks and food came super fast.Love it
angela troska: Rob is an amazing human! I just met him and can tell his heart is so big... The word is a better, gayer, awesomer place because of him!

The Alley Bar: what do users think?
Cole Snider: The Alley Bar was a nice bar overall. Mixed crowd but primarily on the older side. Music was good, drinks were a bit pricey but you tend to expect that in Boston. Quite a bit of seating and definitely more of the bar vibe than the club vibe. There is some dancing upstairs and a pool table. Overall, a very clean establishment that I’d recommend visiting if you’re not looking for a wild night on the town per se.
Kevin Hess: Horrible experience. My friend and I ordered a drink each. After enjoying our drinks for a while, a plate of food arrived in front of us that we had not ordered. Not even 10 seconds later, a gentleman arrived behind us and started chatting with us. He was clearly interested in us, be we politely made it clear we were not interested. After receiving our bill, we realized the food we had not ordered was listed on our tab. We questioned the bartender and he immediately insisted food was ordered by my friend. This was a straight lie and he knew it because he refused to make eye contact for the remainder of our stay. Funny enough, the gentleman whom had originally been interested in us came back over and started flirting with us again. I asked him if he had ordered the food for us, and he admitted he had. I called him out on the fact that the bartender said we had ordered the food, and he started acting really weird saying he owned the bar. He went back to his seat, and I called the bartender back over. I explained the guy had admitted to ordering the food on our behalf, and the bartender was immediately angered and said he would pull the video footage of us ordering the food. At this point we were uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. We closed our tab (with the cost of the food included) and left. As we were leaving the guy whom sent the food was watching us leave. The bartender continued to make no further eye contact. The whole experience was uncomfortable, and deceptive at best. The bartender was the younger of the two, and I regret not bringing the issue up with the older bartender or security. This whole ordeal happened on 4/12/23 around 9:00pm. I hope the younger bartender can be made accountable, the bar was otherwise okay.
gio gio: The best!
Sylvia De Jesus: Horrible
BLUF 4273: I went on Valentine's night this year, thinking I'd find a lively atmosphere. What I found was grim. The two bartenders were in faded T-shirts, stretched neck elastic, dirty jeans, and unkempt beards. They looked unappealing for the look a business in a city center should have. The music from the jukebox was depressing. I expressed my disappointment to the person beside me; his response was more disappointing. He told me to play my music, that Valentine's Day was a straight day, and that he was running away from the atmosphere that night. In other words, it was like telling me: "if you want to party, bring your music to the bar." Excuse me!Shouldn't business owners strive to create the best atmosphere on special days to attract clientele? Not even a red underwear party. I finished my drink, asked for the bill, and left. I preferred to go home because I said, "If that's the atmosphere at Alley, I better not waste time with others." The $10 I spent on a single drink, I’d have spent on a bottle of wine. The Alley Bar survived the pandemic duller and less dynamic, and they take their clientele for granted.
Omar Chavez Yanez: Really is my first time in Boston and I hear good thing about thos bar but the black guy to taking care of the stairs was so rude man that is insane
Christian Butterworth: A really friendly, welcoming bar that my Husband and I stumbled upon. Staff were very attentive, and the other customers were friendly and chatty. Good selection of beers on tap, and the prices were reasonable too! A great bar for LGBTQ+ travellers to Boston!
Ture Richard Turnbull: Fun place, stiff drinks
Jason Stankiewicz: The Alley Bar Boston is a warm and inviting place for members of the LGBTQ+ community. It is a bar that celebrates diversity and inclusion, creating a safe and friendly atmosphere for all. The staff is welcoming and accommodating, making sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Whether you're looking for a place to hang out with friends, dance, or just have a good time, The Alley Bar Boston is the perfect spot.
Jordan Upchurch: Very local oriented gay bar. Solid group of customers and workers. I received great service and good food and beverage. Highly suggest Karoke on Sunday nights!
Jay Dupont: This is a fun place, definitely one of my favorite bars in Boston. Great for a drink after work and meet new people. New year's eve is typically a lot of fun and dancing. Also it should be noted, their bathrooms are some of the cleanest in Boston.
Will Rhodes: So great. If you're cool don't miss it. If you're lame, get lost.
mycol mateo: 👎👎👎👎
Rob Murley: Ignorant old man at the door accusing me and my bf of being under 21 (both over 25 with scannable id’s) barely any seating and an overall terrible atmosphere
Andrew D: What a great place to visit. We were here last Saturday and we had a very welcoming reception. The staff was fantastic, they offered us a place to sit at the bar, everything was perfect. While sitting at the bar we met some local guys, and a guy from Ireland, everyone was very welcoming, and easy to talk to. We laughed and had great conversations. It was our first time at The Ally Bar, can’t wait to go back.
Skip Matthew: Friendly men !
Ben Geravesh: Nice bar, but very grouchy and unwelcoming old bartenders! Don’t waste time. Will not come back :)
Greg B: Pleasant. Beary. Friendly stuff. Strong cocktails. Worth a visit. Entrance hidden during daytime, but easy to find when opened.
Taylor Shay: Black unfriendly bar. A bunch of conservative white men with transphobic attitudes. Micro aggressions and discriminatory language amongst patrons. Myself and another Black American patron who descend from the people who built this country clearly were not welcomed.
Jason Bailey-Amos: We were made to feel very welcome by all the star on our trip.Great food and friendly service, we loved it and would recommend a visitThanks to Jerry and Patrick for looking after us
Jay Bee: Nice space , clean, and friendly environment. Lovely bartender, really cold beer - I loved ❤️ it! - and a great chicken wings full of taste! Thank God I didn’t meet any of those grumpy people mentioned here. I was wondering, are they for real of it was just one or two fellas who were not having a good day ? Who knows ?! PS. I’ve met Edd, Peter and Jake - three very polite fellas and very receptive! I cannot picture those guys treating anyone bad !

Legacy Nightclub: what do users think?
Tori Chamberlain: I love Legacy so much. Best bar and security staff in the city. Great music and event variety. Respect that's it's a QUEER space if you're coming through!
victor chavez: The bouncer takes his job too serious. Wanted us to go get pizza to “sober up” 😂
Alyssa Copithorne: I went to legacy for one of their serve Thursdays. The performance was great but what really impressed me was the impeccable service I got from Jerry the bartender. He greeted me each time I went for a drink with a smile and got me my drink fast and was a joy to be around. Once I was done purchasing drinks he continued to check in on me to see if I wanted more and offered me a water as well. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful experience. I will absolutely be back and asking for Jerry!l
John Hawe: They were literally horrible to me, my ID had expired and they wouldn’t let me in, even though all my friends at his 21st birthday party got in which wouldn’t be bad. But the guy who was checking IDs, only checked mine.. and let so many ppl go straight in
Beth Boye: An age is an amazing DJ the vibe is mega sexy
PRANIL MANE: Nice club to hangout near commons. Nice music and accessible with metro. Enjoyed music even on Thursday .
Jevon Smith: Rating: 6 out of 10My friend group usually goes to Ego in Rhode Island for Twerk Fridays, but we decided to try something new and drive to Legacy for Bussdown Fridays.Pro:- Paid $15 (arrived around 11 pm)!- Drink and Shots is worth the price!- the overall atmosphere was nice!Con:-The music was okay. I feel as though it deviated from the theme throughout most of the night.- The Dj played music that was more top 40 with a dash of reggae, dancehall, and Latin however, it was VERY LIMITED.-Only two people were working the bar, which made service somewhat slow.-People were mostly vibing than dancing which can be partly due to the music.
Ron Lund: Went for new years and had lots of fun! Good location and nightclub!
Nicholas Ivancic: I love this club, honestly great that we have this since its the only other LGBT bar other that the couple that are left in Boston
Andrea Adams: This place it terrible the lack of service and the disrespectful comments and the rudeness of the lgbtq community do not go to this place for fun the insults are trifling and this club needs to be shut down !!!
Wilderlan Martins: This ballad is gls?
Rick Bandeira: never go to this place, you will be in danger, rude employees and Dj Frency is a ruuuude person. Stay away.
Juan Miguel: Don't order drinks; the bartender may slip something into your glass.
Cat: Please be careful going here everyone my best friend was roofied here! Watch your drinks and don’t trust anyone
David Guanaco503: Excelente
Rue: Great spot for LGBTQ+ Community. 21+, Caring staff, LatinX Wednesdays, Serve Thursdays, Bussdown Friday. Follow their IG for updates - they’re very active @LegacyBOS & @MenOfMelaninMagic (Fridays only QPOC night in Boston!)
Jefferson Borges Bernardes: Completely lack of organization on the pride weekend! We stood in line with hundreds of other people who had been there all night and not been able to get into the Club. I strongly do not recommend you to visit this place and we are not coming back for sure. Weekends like these tickets should be sold online until they sell out.
Chloe Willis: If I could give zero stars I would. I went here twice and they denied me with a real ID both times (I’m 23) My friend has an eating disorder and looks very different from when she was 21 ( 23 now) and she explained her situation and they denied us.. I am EXTREMELY disappointed. These people deny you for everything. How do you fake a real ID? Never going again.
Nicole Smith: Had my very first clubbing experience here last night 10/10 for sure coming back! Great music, fun crowd , pretty good drinks. And cover charge was about 20$ cheaper than I thought it was gonna be. Definitely recommend
Ingrid Martins De Oliveira: Rude DJ
Emma Doyle: Every time I've gone I've had a great time, definitely worth a visit!

dbar: what do users think?
Jonathan Downing: Loved everything about this place but one thing: dont sit people near the bar if there's patrons standing by the bar. Of course theyre going to get loud, and of course theyre going to back up into you. Theyre there to have a great time too, but if youre there to grab some amazing food it ruins the experience.Def loved the moqueca and cubano sandwich. The fries were awful though. Oily, limp, and soft.
Donavan Kennedy: I went to their Sicilian wine dinner which was so well done. The food was amazing as were the wine pairings. The staff was so fun and friendly.
Michelle Maguire: Travis was amazing!
Simon Green: This place has really gone down hill. Waited over 1.5 hours for our mains. We were late to an appointment so had to skip dessert even though we paid for it. Service was apologetic but pathetic and meek. No manager to assist. Don’t waste your time or money coming here.
Brianna Cady: Went to Dbar this weekend for a gathering of friends, the place was packed. The Bartender did his absolute best managing all the oncoming orders, kudos. Around 10:30-11pm the place was packed with so many people it was all touching and shoving very chaotic.Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Shannon White: I have to say, the worst service I have ever had. The male bartender from Sunday was absolutely terrible. It was busy, why was there only 2 incompetent bartenders on a holiday weekend? I’ll be sticking to Harp and Bard. The only good place this side of DOT.
Chad Brown: We love DBar and have dined hear many times. I brought my son for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were excited when we saw several new options on the menu. The only disappointment was the queso fundido. When I have ordered this before in other restaurants it is a baked queso (cojito) cheese that is served out of the oven. DBar serves what looked like cheese whiz (room temp) with what was supposed to be “fresh chorizo” but did not taste like much. Not very good. The braised beef enchiladas were good. As always, the service was excellent. We will be back but this experience was not up to the norm for DBar.
Octavia Pinckney: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking options Free parking lotMore
Romeu Miguel: Karaoke night it is my favorite day.
Shoney Wallace: Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lotMore
Adam Dolak: Super welcoming staff. Made a huge effort to learn everyone’s name in our party. Drinks and food were wonderful.
Robert Barrett: I've been coming here for many years and dbar always delivers consistent overall outstanding performance with quality food!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Free parking lot, Free street parking, Paid street parking …More
Nxpi Mhus: Cool place
Ryan Murphy: Always solid neighborhood joint.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Bryan Pollock: Fantastic food. One of the best scallop entrées I've had. Highly recommend their chicken too.
Jojo Pac: Loved the karaoke. Had good staff and drinks.
Russel Meregildo: Great bar
Lynda Lynch: Every time my wife and I make the 30 minute drive to come here during their business hours they are closed because they do not have the staff. Nothing is more frustrating than that
Elizabeth Caruso: We strolled through the throngs of people attending Little Saigon's inaugural Night Market, quickly seeing that the lines for food were too long for us. We kept on down Dot. Ave. to dbar, which we always enjoy. They were not expecting to be slammed with Night Market overflow, but the service and food were as good as ever.
Sasha Tyler: ADDED UPDATE AT END.Been coming here for 15 years and so glad they made it through the last few years. Neighborhood favorite and we even had our wedding dinner here years ago. BUT, if a customer wants aioli, just make it. Third time we have asked for a side of it and were told we don't have it. Chefs, it's mayo and spice, which make all the fries nice.UPDATE: aioli is back on and it was delish!

Jacques' Cabaret: what do users think?
Allegra Driscoll: Queens were amazing! Everyone was so nice and welcoming
Scott Hannon: The worst bar service I have had in my life....pay a $15 cash only cover and wait 15 minutes for a drink siting at the bar...then the bar tender left the room again
Maxime: 15$ cover per person for a drag shows that involve a 1 minute performance for a 5 minutes walk around the audience to ask for tips. It was quite deceiving and boring. Also, it’s a bachelorette crowd.
Alix Sward: friendly lovely people
Sohini Mukherjee: The performers are so talented! We had a blast for my birthday celebration
Lee Etsitty: Went on Saturday night. The place was mostly bachelorette parties but we got to watch the drag show from the back. Friendly staff and good beer selection.
Kathryn Lorenzi: We had a bachelorette party here! They were fantastic. Our bride to be had an amazing time!!
MJ P: This place is iconic. Shows start at 8 and bar close at 12 due to neighbors proximity. Drinks are great and decor is eclectic and not new but it whats makes this place so unique. Owner is so friendly and lovely. This is a Boston gay scene gem.
Anna Brandt: The staff did an excellent job at providing a safe place, great entertainment and drinks!
Collin Bowser: Thursday night drag show at Jacques' was amazing! Would most definitely return! There were two queens and with the smaller size venue the queens were able to get the audience involved in the performances. The drinks were very strong and highly worth the price! Great atmosphere and everyone was so welcoming. You can tell the queens are so passionate about what they do so tip heavy and enjoy it! Truly was an awesome time and I highly recommend!
Mark Bailey Capalbo: I was here for 2 weeks with a huge group of gays and we really were interested in coming to this bar.We tried Monday...CLOSEDTuesday?.....nope....CLOSEDWe just tried to come tonight and they were closing early.UPDATE YOUR HOURS SO YOU DONT WASTE PATRONS TIME WHO TRY TO DRINK AND GIVE YOU MONEYGo to Club Cafe. Fun vibe and the hours posted are ACTUALLY correct 👌
taesha ayala: This place was an absolute blast. The host Destiny was absolutely hilarious and all of the queens were phenomenal. Definitely coming back regularly I loved it
Cory Osborne: Thank you, Jacques for a great time. The drag is spectacular, the drinks strong, and the hospitality is top notch. Extra thanks to Chris behind the bar- you’re awesome!
Ava Burke: Amazing place to see drag performers and get drinks. This place is nice because the performers interact with the audience and give a feeling of family. After the show, one of the queens gave me a hug and we took a selfie together. The bar is only serving drinks during the show, and, aside from another patron getting in my space (probably drunk), was very good. The place is great for members of the LGBTQ+ community, but anyone can find lots of fun. There is even a modern jukebox that plays music for a dollar. There is a $15 admission 🎫 and is for individuals 21+. Tipping is recommended for performers but not required. Masks must be worn when not seated at the bar or a table. ID is required and a hand stamp is given for reentry after smoking or vaping. Starting April 2022, there may be open stage nights. Ask a performer after the show about how you can start performing drag.
Morgan Hunt: Awesome and entertaining performance! Gorgeous gorgeous. They keep it fun, exciting, and engaged with the audience. Will definitely return! Cash only, come prepared but there is an ATM on site if needed.
Maria Medrano: Super fun! Nice ambient, everyone's so cool 🤗
B Boye (Blonde): Old school FUN
Ximena Hasbach: Very talented queens!
aron rod: Katya lived here.
Nemanja Nedović: Was closed.
socialite chris Lopez: Best trans nightclub staff are great
