S K: Incompetent, uncaring, not knowledgeable. Terrible especially if you are trusting them to help you with something important.I used this company years ago. All in all, they are incompetent and I wouldn't trust them with something you care about. I would have written this years ago, but there was no Yelp back then. The reason why I decided to write this now is that I saw a commercial for them and I thought about how bad my experience was with them and how much I wouldn't want anyone to trust their immigration cases with him. There were several problems.First, I was supposed to work with one attorney that I liked and actually spoke Spanish (something important to my case). She moved, and no one told me.Second, many of the papers that they had to fill out for an immigration case were incorrect, so they weren't really good at copying, a skill most school aged students perfect by the 3rd grade.Third, they supposedly speak Spanish and were supposed to prepare their client for the interview. Mr. Fitzgerald has a remedial ability to speak Spanish at best and was not understood very well during the prep meeting. He also seemed to be unaware and not knowledgeable about what the interview would be like. So even if there were no problem with communication based on language, the prep session was not helpful at all.Forth, they had told me that unless something out of the norm happened, they would not charge me any more than the retainer fee of 1,500. All they did was fill out some paperwork which had to be fixed several times because the information was entered incorrectly, have a prep meeting, and send in some paperwork. Then after nothing out of the norm happened, Mr. Fitzgerald sent me a bill for more time. Seriously, there was no way I would give them another penny, NO WAY! I told him as much and he never asked for anything again. The funniest part is when they called me 8 months after a deadline to see if I wanted them to fill out the follow up paperwork with them. Obviously I had already done it myself before the deadline because I care about my case and they don't.

Jon: I used Fitzgerald Law Company to apply for and renew my green card. That process was successful but unfortunately follow-up has been entirely non-existent. I had some basic questions while waiting for my renewal to be processed. I emailed those questions directly to Desmond Fitzgerald who was my point of contact and I’m still waiting for a response 5 months later. In the meantime I received the new green card and then I received two emails from the law firm explaining that their work was done and that I could use their services for naturalization. I responded to both of those emails and haven’t received any response. Interestingly one of the emails also provided a link where I could leave feedback for their firm on Google — so here I am. It has been a pretty disappointing end to the relationship and I truly wish I could get a response.

Thuany Olinger: Be aware! After visiting different Law Firms for my mother's case and hearing the same plan of action to move forward, this office proposed something completely opposed, that cost more, while assuring the effectiveness of it. Once the contract was signed and initial payment made, it took several months for them to inform us that they would in fact, need to take the same route the other lawyers had initially proposed. Needless to say, we had already lost a year ‘waiting’ and giving out documents, we could have used that time to put to action what would have worked from the beginning.We were also switched between lawyers, which was frustrating - and communication was not the greatest especially towards the end of the case. By the way, this dragged for years, with the change of plan, it took way longer for my family and I to get ready and make the necessary changes on our end to get through another year of waiting for the final response. The case was won, but it was stressful and overpriced. A lot of the research had to be done on our own, and actual in person meeting only happened a couple of times during the entire process, that again, took years, and a couple of online meetings were scheduled. Would not recommend.
