Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum: what do users think?
Leena Appicatlaa: Having read so much about the Boston tea party and its significance on the American war of independence, this was on the to do list in Boston. The tour starts with a meeting similar to what it must have been in the 17th century. An interactive way of getting introduced through actors dressed in the colonial style. The museum has interesting artifacts and a little holographic show. There is also a short movie depicting the events. The tea tasting experience was good and we did take up the bottomless cup to taste all the teas.Overall a great way of learning about history and good for kids too.

Elena B: Highly entertaining and enthralling tour, combining different activities: costumed actors impersonate historical persons and recreate events from the past, everyone can throw a tea box into the water and walk on the replica of the 18 century ship, watch dramatic video... A fascinating combination of old artifacts and newest technologies (talking portraits). This tour exceeded my expectations; and totally worthts the money. I highly recomend it.
Mike Rickles: A friend of my daughter had just come to Boston a few months back, so when my wife and I decided we were coming we called her and asked for some travel tips. She recommended we walk the Freedom Trail and go to the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum. Even though she is 27 years younger than us, we respect her opinion and did both. I can't say enough good things about this place! The actors were always in character. Even when I asked questions they answered in character. It was very interactive and interesting. It was history at the core but the audience all seem to be enthralled. Then they added technology in ways I could have never imagined that was so seamless and impressive. I am in my 50's and loved it just as much as the young lady that recommended it to us which illustrates that it is entertaining for all ages. I don't know who runs the show around there but in my opinion they should be given a raise! From beginning to end it was splendid. I think David Letterman used to call this "EDUTAINMENT". And that it is.Highly recommend.
Vee H: Staff were wonderful. They reenact parts during the time Era surrounding the Boston tea party. Depending on the crowd type you get during your tour kind of influences your experience during the tour. The staff does do their best to create a fun and entertaining vibe yet informative. Rob Wubbena: I was extremely pleased with this place. The tour was informative and very well done. The ‘living history’ guides were just excellent! They stay in character the whole time and are very knowledgeable. You’ll learn so much more about the Boston Tea Party here than you ever will from a book. Don’t miss it!

Tripp Shenton: We have visited Boston a number of times over the past 7 years, for the marathon, and walked by the Tea Party museum a number of times and never went in. We finally did on a recent trip and really enjoyed it. It's a guided tour given by a cast of actors in colonial dress, who tell the story of why there was a tea party in the first place and leading up to the battle at Lexington and Concord. It's a great history lesson. The guides were great and really played the parts. You learn about why they were fighting the taxes, who helped and how they dumped the tea, and other great details. There are some great, high tech, videos in the presentation, including something like a mini-iMAX theater that shows the battle at Lexington. You end the tour in Abigail's tea room. Well worth the $$.

Philip Kurle: This was a very nice science museum. I might have expected a little more from a science museum that is very close to MIT, Harvard, and UMass. I went to the museum because it was the private venue for the 75th anniversary of the American Academy of Neurology during their meeting in late April 2023. So the whole place was packed with neurologists. I guess that made it kind of bizarre and awkward to begin with. I felt that some of the exhibits provided some fairly superficial information. Admittedly we were only there for about 2 hours and didn't see everything. We saw a fairly bizarre, but kind of cool, show in the Hayden Planetarium called the Prince Experience (accompanied by the music of Prince, formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince). Nothing at all scientific, except maybe the kinesthetic sense of movement induced by some of the scenes, like traveling through a wormhole (as if I would know what that was like). Prince really was a phenomenal musician, by the way. Anyway, apparently they show this particular show on the weekends. I give this 4 stars in comparison with places like the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, or the Smithsonian. So it is really pretty good for its size.

Angel Carboni: Love the MFA! I don't think words can describe how great and how important it is to go and visit! There's always new things on display and there's always events going on. As a COF student I'm able to get in for free with membership perks however the normal admission is not bad for the quality and quantity of content there is to explore at the museum! Two visits will never be the same because there's just SO much to see! Honestly could take almost a full week if you're there from opening to close to see all of it!

Cañones 💣 a tamaño real.

There is staff on every floor to help with information, and restrooms are on the basement floor. If you get the chance, take a photo of the massacre from the upstairs window. Then you won't be trying to zoom all the way out for a photo of the circle later. If you can avoid the restrooms do they are super small. Feel like this location is a lot about the gift store.

The site goes further back in history than Revere- on this spot the Mathers (increase & Cotton, names tied to the Witchcraft Trials) once lived.Over the years this house has sever many purposes and was once a home for wayward sailors, a cigar factory and a general store. It was restored to its colonial era state in the early 1900’s by a descendant of Paul RevereYou can see the outside from the square, and there’s a small fee for a short look inside.
