Punjab Palace: what do users think?
Anirudh Sharma: “Garlic Naan”
Nolan Herring: Left many things out of the order they need to check their takeout/delivery orders this is ridiculous and this was for someone’s birthday too!
Hailey: My absolute favorite Indian place in all of Boston. Delicious, plenty of food, and well priced.

Priyank Chhatralia: Recently I went to Punjab palace for having dinner with one of my friends. We ordered kadai paneer and paneer coconut with garlic nan and paneer nan. The taste and the combination with each was soo good that we also take an order for to-go. We enjoyed food and time over there, as the service was nice and the place was very clean.
Vinay Rathod: Excellent taste. Tried chicken curry ( compliment rice is very taste) , samosa, garlic nan, and mango lassi was the best also the compliment onion chutney is really worth trying. New favourite restaurant in Boston. On time delivery.
Adarsh Gupta: It was really very good experience. I eat Shahi paneer it was very good with garlic naan and i will recommend to all to have it. It is my favourite Indian restaurant. Vinyas Reddy: Had a great evening here with my friends and I liked chicken tikka masala the most and I wish to visit more frequently to this restaurant in the future
J C: I've been a loyal customer nearly 15 years but will sadly never eat here again. Found something that looked like part of a bug in my rice & upon reading Boston Inspectional Service reports discovered Punjab Palace failed for having COCKROACHES stuck on glue traps in their prep area (amongst many other things.) I knew about the rodents & accepted it but roaches is another level of filth and not acceptable. They're infested & that's what was in my rice! Never again. I'm devasted.
Oguz Hikmet Yaman: I get food from them every 2 weeks , very good business practice!
Pack 50 Milk Street: This place has a super tasty Indian food! We ordered the seafood masala and it went wildly good!
Julian Crampton: Really delicious food, the chicken Tikka masala was the best I've ever had. Great service, atmosphere and prices as well.
Laith Hijazi: Really good. Chicken Korma is fire probs one of the better dishes. Mango lasi is 🤯
Haaris: Nice place to visit if you are looking for some real Indian taste. I visited with my friends, we ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Mix Meat Curry and Goat Biryani. The food was very good along with the service they provide. Overall, I would recommend everyone to go and eat there.Vegetarian options: Many Veg options available which are damn good in taste.Kid-friendliness: Kids chair available.Parking: Many parking spot available.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, wheelchair accessibility is available. Clear space for the circulation of wheelchair.Dietary restrictions: They are very concerned about the costumers health. Like if you have some allergiesyou can ask your food will be prepared separately keeping the the things in kind.

Juniper Fitzgerald: I love Vaisakhi, the food is great and the staff is very kind. I used to order almost weekly but unfortunately, like everything, the prices have gone up a few times and anytime i’m about to order I end up having to stop myself because I can’t justify ordering with the new prices. Just not in my budget anymore.
Kamex Plastics: Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5More
Hannah Saris: I ordered catering from this place and they lost my payment AND my order. They tried to make me pay multiple times, despite my showing them that the money had been taken out of my account. The experience was very frustrating and in the end they didn’t comp a single thing. Plus the food was delivered late and the chicken was dry. TERRIBLE service!
Sejal Shah: We were a party of 4 and seated immediately. We ordered veg platter, paneer tikka masala, butter chicken, makhani daal and butter and garlic naans. The veg platter seemed to be appetizers that were reheated and not made fresh. We thought the paneer in the paneer tikka masala tasted a bit sour and we asked the server to take it back. We specifically said we did not want a replacement. The server comes back after a few minutes and tells us that the kitchen staff did not find anything wrong in the paneer and if we wanted it back. If a customer tells you that something is not right why would you tell them to try the dish again? The flavors in all the dishes were just ok. We won’t be coming back here.
Елена Кара: I hate Indian food, but this place changed my tastes) coconut shrimps are THE BEST!!!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Butter Chicken, Mango Lassi, Fried Rice …More
Faith Pettengill: If you're looking for an ambient dining experience this is most definitely the place. Apart from the impeccable and QUICK service, the food is mouth watering and beyond flavorful. Not to mention, the dining room is tranquil, set with warm lighting and accompanied with fresh smells. From the moment I walked in to leaving I was impressed!!!
Hope Pettengill: The second my group and I walked in, we were kindly greeted, and immediately shown to a table. The staff was nothing but kind and very attentive, which was appreciated for how much we ordered. Everything came out quick, which was really cool to see because they were quite busy for takeout. The food was awesome, temperature was perfect. We got the Butter Chicken, Garlic naan, and Chicken Tikka Masala. Everything was delicious. Great food, affordable prices, great staff. Looking forward to trying more food from here, most definitely recommending to my peers. Thank you so much!!
Ryan L: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken CurryMore
malipatal sowmya: It’s good not bad, we ordered non curries they are burnt and burnt garlic naans, ordered veg biryani but that was not biryani it was turmeric rice or fried rice something not cooked well. Would like to say bad experience for us.
Sarah Crawford: This is my favorite Indian food restaurant in Boston!! Staff is always SO friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is usually never crowded because a lot of people order delivery. Perfect place to sit down for a warm meal during those cold Boston winters ❄️Recommended dishes Chicken Tikka Masala, Cheese Naan, Lamb Curry, Samosa …More
Tayyaba Nazli: Best food and best service, butter chicken is awesome. Love from Pakistan ❤
Malayka Tahir: best butter chicken in town!!!!
Amie singh: Vegetarian options: Delicious food.
Akshay Jagadeesh: All around very solid North Indian restaurant in a city that desperately needs more good Indian food. The menu is very simple: samosa, pakora, a few chaats, and your standard Punjabi style curries. But the execution is solid and all the items we tried were good.We started with a samosa chaat, which was really good - the samosa retained its crunch and the chole had good flavor, though the yogurt was a bit dominant. For mains, we got a paneer tikka masala and a bhindi masala and asked for both extra spicy, with a garlic naan, onion kulcha and cheese naan on the side. Both curries were really flavorful (neither were very spicy but that’s ok) without being excessively heavy or rich or oily. I’d highly recommend the bhindi - I thought it was excellent. The PTM was as it should be: nothing to complain about here. Naans were soft and tasty.Service was excellent and the folks working here seem really nice. This is a good Indian restaurant in Boston - that makes it a rarity. I’ll be back!
Sunil Botadra: Ok, from the photos you will see that we had an OK experience while having Lunch on Feb 1st. They had some mechanical issue and the heat was out. Instead of telling us that, they sat us down. Then brought in a space heater. Yes, that thing did not keep us warm at all and we had to ask them to add another one, crank those things high etc etc.Food was decent, wait staff was great, but it was just freaking cold in there!!I forgot my credit card and the wait staff actually came out in the cold to hand me as we walked out. So, thank you for that, but I am sure if the place was warm, the experience would have been different.Let’s come to food though. It was OK, nothing extra ordinary in taste. Reasonably priced though.

Vaanga Boston: what do users think?
Rashmi Patil: The idli is well made and soft. Recommend the podi idli and chicken chettinad. Very good chicken biriyani too. The filter coffee and tea are machine made and very good. Recently Vaanga has had a $2 increase on all food items and it has self service so you pick up food to take to your table and clear out once you are doneRecommended dishes Idly, Samosa Chaat, Irani Chai, Chicken Chettinadu …More
Ashutosh Mishra: Rating is not for the food but for the hospitality.Even though the information on google says, that restaurant has bathroom, good for kids, family-friendly; but IT IS NOT.Bathroom was fully operational and yet, server told me that it was NOT. Even recommended that I walk 2-3 blocks in rain with my toddler, when he was feeling the emergency to use the bathroom.Suggestion: Parents are always ready for accidents to happen, but I am not sure that your team is ready. Also, now reading the recent reviews, it seems I am not the first one to experience this trauma of being deprived of a basic amenity on premises, which was fully functional. But I would want to try and make sure, I am the last.
Jegsi Rox: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani, Idly, Boneless Chicken Biryani, Dahi Poori, Hyderabadi Chicken Dum, Chicken Tikka Masala, Hyderabadi ChickenMore

Randy Singh: It was the worst chole rice I have ever had, very oily and too spicy and flavour was disgusting- never again
Sujeet Gandhi: I will suggest to skip the place and there are multiple reasons.1. The restroom is always out of order. You can't even wash your hands anywhere.2. Even though they have dine-in, there is no drinking water, you have to purchase the water.3. Even though the prices are on the higher side, they charge 2$ extra on every menu item.I hardly find any reason to visit the place when you have so many nice options around.
Frances Ha: I had ordered sambar vada and it was really awesome.Irani chai was machine made and not usual Mumbai style though it was good in taste.Did not like fried idli as it's not deep fried in athletic preparations. It's mainly set up as take out place so seating is basic

Mani Bushan Madishetty: Amazing place with a good vibe. I was surprised to see such good food in a Downtown. Definitely hands down guys 👍🏻
Gururajan Krishna (Guru): Ghee roast Dosa was crispy, with right amount of ghee and a glowing golden roast - a delite indeed . With good accommaniments it was like enjoying a lovely carnatic concert by an expert artists . The 'Milagai bajji' was average with bulk of not fully fried gram flour which later gave its solo drum fest in our stomach for a while, with bass sax belching . Well some more attention could be paid for the atmosphere. But for quick ' wham, bite, move' suits well giving u a dhaba touch.Vegetarian options: See my comments
yogesh pachpute: Great food in Boston downtown
Komal Shukla: The food was served hot, the service is really good.Vegetarian options: Had lot of veg options loved it
Amit Deshpande: Food is spicy tastes good but you have to purchase water also Irani tea is machine tea hate those

Dosa n Curry: what do users think?
Jacob Anderson: Sometimes its tricky to find South Indian foods (idly, dosa), but Dosa n Curry provides BIG TIME. Very delicious and reasonable prices. All the dosa are delicious. We ordered take away several times. But dining in is wonderful as well. There is a day of the week with unlimited dosa (embarrassingly, I forget which day though).Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options

Health Enthusiast: Music was loud, the lighting is good, but too bright for romantic. Booth benches are comfortable. But it was hard sometimes to get the waiters attention. Food came fast. The trick with this huge dosai is that it cools off really fast with all the air moving through it. Rice pudding was cheap but small. The pakora was cheap too, but good size. I wish the masala dosai was more flavorful (i asked more mild, not spicy)

Ward Vandewege: All vegetarian. Tons of vegan choices. The Temple Special Dosai is delicious, as are the curries.Dietary restrictions: A lot of gluten free options, clearly marked in the menu. Everything is vegetarian, many things are vegan.
Liam Kelley: Went for the Tuesday night dosa buffet option. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table while groups that came after us were seated first (we were only a group of 5, nothing unreasonable). When we were seated we were greeted to unfriendly servers and long waits for each round of dosa we ordered. To cap it off, my friend found a fingernail in his chai. Fine food but awful service.

Richard Thomas: I had lamb biriyani here. Good taste and enough quantity for two. But their definition of biriyani is what many of us would call a 'Pulav'. It wasn't the typical biriyani with basmati rice that I'm used to.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Jennifer Cheng: I was so excited to find a new dosa place with good reviews, but I'm never ordering from here again. The masala dosa was thick and spongy yet burnt and the stuffing only tasted ok. The baingan bhartha was insanely oily. I needed to wipe down my hands and my table after putting the tupperware down. I asked for no spiciness and got very spicy. The mango lassi was thin and flavorless. The naan was fine and ended up being dinner. This was all a very expensive mistake.
Peter Rizzi: The dairy free coconut Tikka masala was so good!
Charu Singh: Excellent service, good food, beautiful ambience.Recommended dishes Tikka Masala with Tomato Light Cream Herbs & Spices, Dal Makhani …More
Raffi Kotikian: My team's usual gathering spot for the past 10 years. Their top quality and consistency is outstanding. Absolutely delicious food, very authentically prepared (according to my Indian friends).Best part, when you ask for spicy level to be hot, they deliver it HOT. I have very high tolerance for spice and I really appreciate it. If you can't handle hot then make sure you tell them, they'll make it exactly to your liking.
Karna Shah: Good ambience for an Indian restaurant in the US, however after that the experience is all downhill. Food was below mediocre. Paneer tikka masala was not well cooked and tasted of raw tomatoes. Dal makhni had a strong taste of ginger and hardly any other flavor. Paneer tikka appetizer was bland as the marination had absolutely no taste. If the food was not enough of a disappointment already, the servers were absolutely terrible, including the main server who was passive aggressive. At the end of the dinner she made a mess on the table packing all the leftover food. When she came finally to get the check, she even mentioned that the restaurant is now closed despite 5 other parties still having dinner next to our table.Honestly, if you are looking for good Indian food and service, I would absolutely skip this place.
Hamid N: Beer was flat but food was good the wait staff were disorganized
Megan Sogard: Good food, and the dine-in experience is notably nice. I liked sitting in the "back" which is more brightly lit and has a view into the kitchen. Loved it.Parking: Public lot behind the restaurant (paid until 8 PM) or street parking.
Flora Iton: Authentic North Indian cuisine with a few South Indian options. Choose your level of spiciness. Chefs are Indian. Mango Lassi is made from scratch so ... YES! Wait staff is friendly and accommodating, and will explain everything in detail if needed. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Have been several times and will be back again and again. Perfect for Sunday after church group hang out with friends :-)
Chelsea Shin: This is a solid indian restaurant. Surprised to see an authentic Indian restaurant in Arlington, but it is consistently good. Recommend their korma, naan and samosa chaat.
Andy Wollen: Chicken curry was excellent. Chicken tender and cooked just right, curry delicious, naan hot from the oven. Service was prompt and courteous. My only issue was the price. Over $30 with tax and tip and just water -- twice what I'd typically spend on lunch for one. Better to take a second person and share a dish.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Curry …More
Vijayandra Singh: Nice 👍 best Indian food
Alexander Pudikov: Good place to visit before a show.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Andrew Matson: This restaurant was a severe disappointment at all levels. Let me preface this by saying Punjab was by far the best Indian restaurant in the area a few years ago. That is now not the case. Royal India in Lexington, and more so Nirvana in Cambridge are far superior. I am sorry to say, but I would have rather had Trader Joe's Indian tonight, it would have been better and much cheaper. We had a poor experience here about six months ago and decided to give it another try tonight. They failed again and we will never return. The main thing is the food. The quality is no longer there. $20 for tikka masala is a bit high, but fine if it is superior. I am not joking when I say Trader Joe's is better now. Same with the paneer tikka masala. Our waitress was inattentive, brought an order of naan ten minutes before our food appeared. She poured me a Cloud Candy IPA which was not. If it was, their lines need a good cleaning. I know what that beer tastes like and this was not Cloud Candy. I ordered a Taj Mahal, she brought a Flying Horse. Fine, I didn't say anything. My wife asked for mild on her paneer tikka masala and it was spiced high medium. I asked for medium and could barely taste the food. I am sure she put it in wrong--she was just not present. She never said thank you. What has happened to Punjab? Even with the terrible experience, I tipped 17 percent. $100 for a night out that we really regret. Never again. Please try Nirvana. We have always had amazing service and the food is much superior. This kind of wrecked Saturday night for us. I have not eaten out inside a restaurant since before Christmas, and absolutely, positively, and done with Punjab. For twelve dollars, do yourself a favor and pick up Trader Joe's. Really bad, just terrible.
Vincent Gagné: Great service, reasonable prices and tasty food. Their momos were delicious, tikka masala had depth. The Saag was a little bland but the naan and paratha made up for it.
Sherman Hanke: Food was fantastic. Server was knowledgeable and personable.Vegetarian options: Lots of options! Not sure how well they can do vegan, but if you eat dairy, you'll be in heaven.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Tikka Masala with Tomato Light Cream Herbs & Spices, Malai Kofta …More

Eileen Doherty: This is not a reflection of the food but of the ludicrous add on charges. Attaching a copy if my bill summary.Plus every item on the online order was more money than the printed takeout menu

Thomas Public Thuene: Why is that, if you go to an Indian restaurant, you always have to make great compromises for hygiene.I LOVE Indian food. The food at Tikki Masala is actually quite good. But then they spoil it through unforced mistakes. We ordered papadum, which usually comes with a few condiments (achars). Why do they bring you achar that is leftovers from another table, in a disgustingly dirty set of dishes. OK, that is a mistake. But why then, when you complain, they fill up the condiments and then give them back, still dirty. Totally unprofessional, and also totally illegal.

Suzana L: Used to love....but MICROWAVED FOOD. I ordered just now and apps could barely be chewed yet were steaming hot. Malai kofta had no flavor yet selected hot spice. Papadum uncooked. Never will order again
Emma Turcotte: I love Tikka Masala's food but after experiencing the truly horrendous customer service I did on New Year's Day, I will not be returning. A housemate and I placed an order through their website to be picked up at 6pm. We placed that order at 4:45 pm and I arrived at the restaurant around 5:45 pm. When I arrived, I was told by the woman at the front desk that my order was not yet ready. She left around 6pm and the next employee asked me what order I was waiting for. I told him and another 15 minutes passed. A third employee came and told me that my order was supposed to be delivered instead of picked up at 6pm (this was a lie). I reached out to my housemate who forwarded me the receipt which stated the order was for pick-up and put her on the phone with the employee. After another 15 minutes, he eventually told me that he did not even have my order and would need to remake the order then. After another 15 minutes, an older man (the owner, I believe) asked me where I placed the order. I told him that I placed it through their website and he said he never received it and would need to call the company that handles that ordering. I waited 1 hour for my food, was told by 3 different employees that my food was either being prepared, needed more time, or was already delivered to my house all to find out that they had never received the order in the first place. I understand that technological snags happen sometime but once I learned that my order wasn't even in the system, I had already wasted 45 minutes thinking that it was just slow to prepare. After telling the owner that I wanted either the meal to be complimentary after what I had gone through or a discount given that I had waited an hour and that the issue was something on their end, he took the food back to the kitchen and threatened me, saying "Do you want the food or not?" I told him what I wanted (a discount, refund, something!) and he replied back "No. I am not going to do that." I told him to give me my food since I paid for it and told him that I would never be coming back, to which he shouted "Okay! Great!" I ended up taking the food, paying full price for it, waiting for over an hour, was lied to by multiple employees, and being shouted out of the restaurant by the owner.Let this be a warning to anyone and everyone who places an order, something that you did not do goes wrong, and the owner is there to threaten to take the food you already paid for and waited for over an hour to receive.

Lynne Dewey: Delicious food. Generous lunch buffet. Plenty of seating. Restrooms. Cozy atmosphere.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Rice Pudding …More
Erin Karpich: There was a decent amount of vegetarian options. Loved the authentic decor and dishes. There was plenty of rice to share. The Naan bread was so good.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Tyler Petrochko: Awesome Indian food and great prices. Highly recommend the Samosa Chile Chaat.
Naresh Kumar: Kid-friendliness: Hhh
Arkopal Datta: The food was good but nothing special. If you're craving Indian food then it's a good spot, but nothing memorable.Vegetarian options: There were sufficient vegetarian options.
Lekha Akhuli: Food is good but it would have been better in taste if they improve the quality. But i must say it was reasonable ..
Connor L: I ordered the Goat Vindaloo for lunch, service and pickup was perfectly fine. I got to eating it and begin picking out more and more bones of varying sizes, ranging from pea-sized and egg-size. Very off-putting when you don’t expect it… flavor was amazing though. I’d recommend this restaurant, but stay away from the goat. A coworker shared a similar experience getting the same dish.
Dhriti Shankar Sinha: Vegetarian options: Nice tasteKid-friendliness: Enjoy
Atharva Aher: Good food, nice taste and quality
Subramanyam Krishnamurthy: Vegetarian options: We had gone for buffet today. The tandoori rotis were cold and food was not tasty. The rice pudding was cold .On the whole it was a bad first time experience.
Folorunso Olufemi Samuel: Cool and serene. Best ever!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sean Effel: Great restaurant. I've been a customer for years and seen their many iterations and renovations in Central Square.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Pralhad Kulkarni: No thali!
Jeena G: We went for dinner and ordered samosas, masala tea for starters. And then, naan to share and individual main dish. I ordered chicken vindaloo. The samosas were decent. It wasn't oily at all. I was particularly disappointed with chicken vindaloo, which I ordered at medium spicy, but it was not spicy at all. Masala tea was alright, not the best I've had. Overall, I found the food to be alright, but nothing special. I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.
Humaid Saleem: Awesome, good
An'Neshia: MUST EAT.. best food I’ve had in Massachusetts so far. I came while they were about to close and the service was still amazing!!!
Bereket Zelealem: Really good
Guy Zylberberg: Came here for the buffet lunch. It's a pretty good deal, but the food itself is just OK.Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Ashwin Swaminathan: What a place! I can’t even imagine how its possible to concoct such inedible food. We were unfortunately greeted by a tasteless bowl of water that we were later told was actually supposed to be sambhar. We ordered the vegetarian thali with shahi paneer and malai kofta. Indian food is known worldwide for its spicy fragrant complexity, but this restaurant seems to have replaced all these spices with sugar. Every savory item was somehow oddly sweet, yet the iced masala chai, which should have been sweet, had no sugar in it whatsoever. Aside from this, the dosa was tiny, the rice was undercooked, and an hour after eating here our stomachs grumbled with sickness. The samosa chaat was decent. Overall do not recommend 0/10

Rakesh Khandelwal: Big menu with many vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices, and decent decor. Ordinary wine selection. They have cocktail menu as well. While menu suggested authentic north Indian food, it tasted very ordinary, below average. Ordinary enough not worth trying again, especially at the menu price. We had vegetarian food only, don't know about taste for chicken, mutton and/or other non-vegetarian options.
Valeria Fasolo: The food was excellent, although the veg pakora came out cold and did not taste fresh. I had the Baingan Patiala Masala, it was my first time trying that dish and it's now one of my favorite indian foods; it was flavourful and nutty at the same time, and the eggplants were creamy, almost silky! My friend and I only had to wait 5 minutes to be seated without a reservation on a Saturday night, which was great as we were both extremely hungry. The service was excellent, the waiter was polite, and he didn't make us feel rushed. Would go back again.if craving Indian and in the area.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of tasty vegetarian optionsParking: Free street parking after 8 pm and on Sundays

Katrin Shikova: My favorite Indian restaurant. The food is always delicious no matter what you order.
Divyangana: The food was about average I would say (the naan was too doughy and the biryani was quite bland). The staff were very nice and friendly and the service was quite great overall.
Kyriakos Grammatikos: Food is a little greasy but overall good quality. I particularly love this restaurant for it's cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Very good cocktails as well! If you can, balance out your order with items that don't contain creamy sauces.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Maharaja Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Aloo Samosa Chaat, Mango Lassi, Naan …More
Noman ali: Recommended dishes Maharaja Biryani, Chicken Lollipop, Tandoori, Mango Lassi, NaanMore
zakeer hussain: Completely lost the credibility With this restaurant, it’s not so worthy and food is really average and they charge the tip without your consent which is really bad and I don’t know what’s wrong with their databases as well!!!!
Kyle: So delicious! The lamb biryani is not only plentiful but absolutely delicious. If it's the weekend, I may suggest reservations because it was busy! It is located upstairs, so don't be misled. It's worth the climb!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala …More

Prashant Doshi: We were at this restaurant 9 years ago and the food was top notch - 5 stars - as good as the best Indian restaurants elsewhere in the country. It seems that the kitchen staff has changed for the worse. We will not be returning to this restaurant.Service is good and staff are nice - however, we didn't enjoy the food.1) Breads were not good - Chapati tasted like a tortilla [and was all white like it was made from white flour instead of wheat flour], shell on aloo paratha was tough.2) While we requested medium spice level, food was prepared mild and was not as flavorful as expected.Food was not bad, just ok - 3 out of 5 stars. However, due to the prices, I have reduced the rating to 2 stars.
prized treasure: Felt like I was in someone’s living room /dining room. Felt like home. Good service, great tasting food and beverages.
Sanjana Shetty: For being in the city, this place is probably not a bad choice for Indian food. They offer above average Indian food and good service. Their food does lack flavor sometimes and is more catered to American palette than Indian

Nirvana The Taste of India: what do users think?
Kotesh Makke: Nice place to prefer Indian food, very good staff and helpful. Like to visit again.. reasonable cost nearby Harvard university.
Krima Modi: I went to Nirvana yesterday afternoon and it was awful experience. The attending waitress could not care less, I had to wait to look around for her just to ask basic items like spoon. I was provided fork and butter knife. Another thing is I ordered Chhoe Bhature so obviously I asked if I can have some onions with lemon and salt on it and little of pickle like one mango slice. She told me it will be charged separately. I still Made my peace with it and said okay then she can with just raw chopped onions no lemon not even salt on it. Besides every place served chhole with 2 bhaturas on standard level, This place provided just one. Although the quality aka taste was good. But quantity and customer service made me post this reviews. Last but not least they charge 50cents for to go container. I mean how cheap one can be. I paid that without complain but then I couldn't pack some of my leftover so I asked her for third container being okay with paying for that and she came with the half sized container than the first two she gave me and she charged me same price for it. I'd say if you have any self respect let do not go. People go to restaurant for eat with ease not to being treated like they are there to eat some free food.
Reshma Menon: I tried this place today after always seeing it was busy in the evenings and was really disappointed. I was hoping to get the thali But you can only choose two entrees and there no no appetizers which did not seem very thali-like. So I ordered the non veg appetizers platter and goat biryani. In the platter, the chicken samosa was too oily, and the kheema inside tasteless. The chicken pakora was bland and soggy, like reheated from the freezer, not freshly fried. The seekh kebab was too salty, and the lamb tips tough. Only the chicken malai kebab was decent, and the saving grace was that they had a nice fresh mint chutney. Finally the "biryani" was a joke -- it was rice and a bland goat curry mixed together with peas, bell peppers, and onions!!! At least the goat was well cooked, but this is a miserable excuse for biryani. Someone trying to cook indian food for the first time following a recipe on the internet can make a more decent biryani with actual spices.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans as well.
siddharth sharma: Good food - but pricey
Meredith Landsmann: Wow - so delicious. I appreciate the menu specifying GF, vegan and vegetarian options. and the DOSA's!Vegetable BiryaniDalTofu MasalaVegetarian options: Extensive vegetarian AND vegan options.Dietary restrictions: GlutenDairy
Naveen Jha: Nice indian food at CambridgeFood: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Isaac: Nirvana is my favorite Indian food in Cambridge! It’s fresh delicious and uses great, high quality ingredients. Get the malai kofta!
V Y: Recommended dishes Chicken Tikka, Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Lamb Curry, Garlic Naan, Mango Lassi, Chicken Tikka MasalaMore
Khoi Nguyen: Amazing food. I destroyed the butter chicken and naan. Rice is okay. Spicy is spicy. Fast service. Was a little annoyed by the extra charges for takeout containers.Recommended dishes Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan …More
Charu Singh: Great location, taste was average for authentic Indian food. Both vegetable korma and kadhai paneer gravies tasted similar.Recommended dishes Garlic Naan …More
Olivia B: Like the samosas, everything else is good. Want to try other paneers
Sid Sharma: Good Indian food , reasonable pricesSurprisingly well made mutton.Nice ambience, organized and clean.Kid-friendliness: Friendly and accommodating staff, spice levels toned down for our pre-schoolers.
Jesse Tordoff: Recommended dishes Mango Lassi, Butter NaanMore
Isabela Maia: new favorite! I am not used to very spicy food and every time I try “this is not very spicy” food, I always think it is too much. this place has a great level of spiciness for those who really mean when they say they don’t want it very spicy and also those who love to cry eating; my husband can attest that. everyone on my party was satisfied with it & loved the food! I tried the paneer tikka masala & can’t wait to come back.
Eric Lecapitaine: The food was excellent and the service too. If you are looking for good Indian food in Cambridge, look no further!
Vance Tan: Overall, the experience was okay. Can't complain about the average price of the menu, decent value in Boston. The texture of the Naan was a little weird, it felt like they used the batter for Dosa for the Naan as well, which makes it a little too chewy.
Eutaw Street: Used to be a great choice for Indian food, even though the service and individual dishes has always been hit or miss. With the prices increase by 30-40%, its definitely not worth it. There are plenty of Indian food restaurants in $20+/entees range with systemically better quality of service and food.Food: 4/5|Service: 1/5 …More
suman jss: Food was not that greatFood: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Siva Dheeraj Reddy Obulam: This is my go to place for Indian food
Schuyler Bailar: Not sure why this only has 4 stars - it should have 5! Everything was delicious. Complex flavors, well-balanced spices, kind waiters, and impressively fast service. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The chicken tikka dal was so good, I’ll be coming back just for that. The dosa was really very good. We were very surprised. Perfectly crispy but still a touch h can eat. The masala was so well seasoned. One of our party had allergies and they were super accommodating and easy about that. The prices felt reasonable and the portions good. We’ll certainly be back!!
