Scullers Jazz Club: what do users think?
Linda Colton: I love the up close and personal atmosphere at Scullers.
Brayden Scribner: Super cool set, I saw Arturo Sandoval and the band he was with was great! definitely going to come back.
Jorge Pardo: very slow bar service
Ken Blanchard: Awesome venue to see great jazz. Good selection of appetizers and drinks; friendly table service.
Ron Smoller: We had a great time and the service was excellent. Food was reasonable as well, drinks a little expensive. Only confusion was the seating chart and menu online was different than in reality when we got there.
Jack A: Great Jazz Club to see great performance!
Anthony Castanon: Really cool place in an architecturally interesting Double Tree. Service was quick and friendly. Drinks tasted like they were made with cheap liquor.
Brian Minsky: My wife and I saw Jeremy Pelt there and were blown away. Cozy venue, not uncomfortably packed. Can't wait to go back.
Charles Bell: Sold out! Quality Jazz! Worth every dollar!!!
E Serra: Yes!
June R: Had a great time with my childhood friend. Went to hear Elan Troutman perform.Awesome show!
Benjamin Havey: The actual show was fantastic so 2 stars, but I ordered a $40 scotch and they had the audacity to add an additional $2.50 charge for ordering it without ice, which literally costs the venue less. Absolutely terrible business practice and left an awful taste in my mouth
Jeff Pifher: Such a great club! Friendly staff and awesome food!
Christopher Logan: Experienced a great show by Clifton Anderson sextet, top players at a top venue! Excellent room with great sound and ambience, friendly and attentive wait staff, and the Autumn Mesclun Salad was truly outstanding! It felt good supporting live music from an underappreciated genre of music...HIGHLY recommended, and prices were surprisingly reasonable..
Irene Aguero-Torres: Best shows in town! Always a success!
Boris Kievsky: Great jazz. The venue (once you get past the DoubleTree lobby) is upscale and the sound is clean without being too loud.
Leon Mungin: Great time. Thr perfromers were awsome
Milton Harris: It was amazing
katia kolpakova: If you go, go for the music, not food. It looks like the bar is not expecting food to be ordered or prepared to handle that. "Diner lobster" vibes.Overcharged for the food and drinks (by 20-30%, fixed the error when i brough it up), brought the food without utensils and the staff gave me a dirty fork because, once again, it seems such an extraordinary event that no one quite knows where dirty and clean utensils go (no sarcasm). The manager spoke and invited the audience to the upstairs roof space after the concert, which a musician readily endorsed and advocated for, parking validation was mentioned, only to be told by other staff that the roof space is reservation only and parking is $10. Sucks to feel mislead this many times in one night. Music was good, sound, artists- all of it good.
Mark Seneski: It's nice. The bar area can be a little loud with glass clinking.
Marvin Fuentes: Excelente Jazz Club, conoci en este lugar al señor Arturo Sandoval

Regattabar: what do users think?
TBird100636: Let me be the first to say, I'm not a hard core Jazz aficionado. It started with a friend sharing Postmodern Jukebox almost 4 years ago. While I didn't like every cover they put out, I kept watching. In September of 2016 they debuted a new cover of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up". The featured singer was a Swedish national treasure, jazz multi-instrumentalist Gunhild Carling. I was blown away by her energy, and being able to play so any different musical Instruments, and sing to boot. Weeks later, she was featured again, covering Madonna's "Material Girl", singing, playing trombone, and tap dancing. I was hooked, and started following her and her equally talented family shortly thereafter. While most of her touring was elsewhere in the world, she did occasionally have dates in the United States. I can't travel far for a variety of reasons, so even going to New York where she performed most frequently was out. Only something close to the South Shore area was feasible. With her increased fame from her PMJ covers, as well as her weekly stream from her former residence in Stockomollan, Sweden, she began to perform more frequently in the US.In the summer of 2018 she announced a variety of tour dates for the middle of November. One of those dates was the 14th, at Regattabar in Cambridge, located in the Charles Hotel. I ordered a ticket a couple months in advance, the pricing wasn't bad. Other than evening commuter traffic going into and out of Boston, it wasn't hard to get to. It took about an hour to get there from the South Shore. If you plan on coming here, use Google Maps to get directions and input the time you plan on leaving, that way you will get an accurate gauge of how long it will take to get here. Parking was very easy, it was in the hotel's own parking garage, Regattabar will validate your ticket for a buck or two off. For parking, drive all the way around the garage until you find the elevators, there seemed to be ample spaces right around there.I arrived early, doors actually opened 1/4 of 7 for the 7:30 showtime. Seating is randomly assigned, I guess according to when you bought your ticket, so I had a good seat in the front row to the left of the stage. It's a big room, seating take up about a 1/3 of it around the stage area, behind it is an open floor for dancing. The waiter greeted me almost right away, and I ordered a drink. I will say the drink seemed to have like a lead or graphite taste to it, but was passable. The show started right on time, Ms. Carling was backed up by New York based musicians Dave Post on bass, Matt Baker on piano, and Daniel Glass on drums. Let me tell you, if you have never seen Gunhild perform in person, go do it already. She is an amazing, friendly performer. I knew she would be better to see in person, but I was totally blown away. She did an hour and a half set that night.Overall, this was my first time at a jazz club, and it was a positive experience. The size of the room is great, with windows to look outside over-viewing Bennett St. The acoustics of the room were fantastic, the volume of the mics wasn't too loud, it wasn't too hot or too cold either. The lighting in the room set the mood well. Other than the drink issue, the chairs at the tables were a tad uncomfortable. Not much cushioning, and too upright for me. Other than that, a very enjoyable experience.7/4/2019 EDIT: I went to Regattabar on 6/20 to see Gunhild Carling perform again, simply amazing. Other than that, I did order a drink again, this time it didn't taste funny. The chairs are the same uncomfortable ones from last time. Even still, I had a front row seat, the earlier you buy a ticket, the better the seat you get.11/23/2022 EDIT: I'm not sure what's going on, but Regattabar closed 3/2020 as a result of the pandemic, but where the majority of venues have already reopened, this venue strangely has not. The website simply displays "Regattabar is temporarily closed due to Covid-19 until further notice.". I would hope they eventually reopen, but over 2 years later it does not appear so.
Spud Resnick: If show gets canceled due to pandemic you'll be ignored and never haveyour money refunded
M King: Love the small room. Close to the band w a bit of room to dance.
Tej Patel: Jazz band was amazing, the service was not efficient. Waiting staff should utilize mobile credit card scanners.
Oh Mail: Politics must be in politics, and this bar is political litter.
Maciej Wasiel: The other big jazz club in Boston. Musical acts are often world famous and the club is small enough to feel cozy. If you plan on drinking get your order in as early as possible because they only ever have one bartender who works like a madman for the first hour. If the house if full you might have to wait 30+ minutes for your jazzy cocktail. Better yet, buy a drink from one of the bars downstairs and bring it with you. Your table neighbors will be green with envy.
Vera Rubin: The recital was very much below a good jazz standard
Ralph ABRUZZESE: Great !
Maiyim Baron: very comfy place with exciting Jazz attractions. Good sound system and seating all around. Get there early to get a good table. Unobtrusive competent wait staff and very good small plates to order along with your drinks. The liver pate is amazing. Maybe the best I've ever had.
Jose Luis Altuve: Good place
Roger Reis: Nice place! Slow drink service. Close intimate setting. Great place for a date.
Irene Aguero-Torres: I wish the Regattabar was open EVERYDAY. Evelyn is the best waitress EVER!
Joyce The Voice: Great concert and venue.
Carmella Ciampa: Great place!
Wako Iwasaki: You sit so close to see some of the best musicians in the world!
Lee Ann Freitas: Went to see Nellie McKay and they booted her off the stage...don't invite amazing world class musicians if they can't play their entire set. I adore Nellie, she put on an amazing show and to not be able to listen to her full set was dissapointing. The Regatta cut off her mike at exactly 9:45. Evil.
Bow Stratton: Nice to be very close to the performers. Needs some updating though and service is always a bit slow
Ismail Lahbibi: Nice
Ben Dottinger: Awesome location, awesome atmosphere, awesome scheduled performers. I feel like they pack it just a little too tightly though, it's kind of suffocating
Valerie Lattell: Kind of a strange set up for a music venue, but all the seats were good and you could hear the music well. Plus, parking is underneath the hotel which is convenient.
Joseph Carper: I have a love/hate relationship with this place. You can’t choose your seats ahead of time, the sound is iffy, the service is indifferent, the set lengths can be pretty short, the space is quirky...but those times when the artist and audience click, it’s terrific.

Beehive Restaurant: what do users think?
John Smith: Good quality is low and wayyyyy overpriced. If you are thinking about going here, do yourself a favor: put one foot forward, pivot, and leave.

Kre-ativ with Jackie Bee: Food: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
A.Cagri Yuksel: You guys need to change the lady at the reception
Daria Gorbenko: Super rude hostess. Booked a reservation weeks ahead of my husband’s birthday brunch. Specified in the reservation that it is a special occasion. Showed up on time and was told there are no tables at the main level. Disappointing to say the least
Rick Johnson: Always good but a pricy breakfast.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jude Heichelbech: Don’t arrive early. They won’t seat you. If you find an empty table and try to sit for a moment, the bouncer will grab you by the arm and lift you up! If you try to dance for the last song of the night, staff will come and tell you to stop because they don’t have a “license” for that. After you eat, they’ll remove half your table area to give to others. Also, as others have noted, I saw a mouse run right past a nearby patron’s feet. Our waiter was great. But I found the house staff pretty rude, aggressive and patriarchal. Weird vibe. Will avoid in the future. Too bad! Cool building/live music, decent food/cocktails.
Carlos Ditren: Love it!
Nate Stafford: This place was amazing. Atmosphere was great! Waiter was super friendly and the food was delicious. The only thing to balk at was the price but it was Easter Sunday Brunch so thats my fault for letting the wife convince me to go.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommendation for vegetarians Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings Vegetarian menu or section …More
Sharon Markowitz: Food was ok, salmon was a bit too charred. Drink not great and server didn’t notice not drinking a $16 drink. Jazz not good.
Aurélie: Literally MICE running AROUND AND THE BARTENDER SAID NOTHING
Sharon Bao: Amazing live music spot! Great drinks as well. Some of the entrees were hit or miss for me, but I think the ambiance more than makes up for it. Try to get in a little early if you want to watch the show. I think the later you come in, the worse seats you get.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jennease Hyatt: So I went to beehive late last night and the vibe was super cute. Band was about to wrap up, waiter was friendly. The drink was AMAZING!!! I'm sitting in full view of the kitchen and suddenly I see mice running all around and I'm like, whoa, ok. They seem to be having party of sorts. I had paid for my drink at this point and I call to the waitress who helped us to tell her what I was seeing. Apparently this was common and she said the manager would come over. The manager never showed up, but two young men dressed in all black did and at this point I am now pointing out the mice running up and down the curtains and the ones in plain view of us while we were talking. And he's like, yea, we've called an exterminator, etc... and I was like, sir! I've seen like 10 mice prancing about, this is just not ok! I couldn't believe how casually ok they were about what was clearly an infestation. Not ok!!!
Sabrina Arguello: I’ve been coming to the Beehive for a few years now and each time is a wonderful and unique experience. I love this spot and I especially love the jazz music that is played throughout the night. Such an awesome spot to have a good drink, great company, and amazing food.
Joana C: Boa vibe, boa música, atendimento rápido.Comida, zero estrelas.
Erin Quinn: Recommended dishes Eggs Shakshuka, Eggs Benedict with HamMore
Alex Drake (Adrake1234): Food was significant subpar and the drinks we definitely less then that. Over all spent way to much money for atmosphere. Would suggest for vibe. Would not suggest for food or drinkFood: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Wacky Alpacas: Let me first say- prior to tonight Beehive was my absolute favorite restaurant in Boston that I always recommended every out of town visitor to visit. After tonight that is no longer the case.Long story short- our waiter brought us the check before our dinner even arrived at the table. We were very confused but he said it was something about him being “cut”? I asked if I could get another drink before we paid our very early check and he said no, but he told us another waiter would be with us for the rest of the night. Fast forward 30 minutes and no new waiter came and I still didn’t have a drink. My partner got up and asked another staff member for a waiter y they said someone would be right over. We waited another 15, no one came, so we asked someone else and they sent a very stressed out waiter over who ended up giving us the wrong drinks and never came to check in about them.I am so disappointed because this used to be my all time favorite restaurant in Boston for years and it seems they have prioritized making money on increasing capacity over customer experience.**** also important to note- they added standing room in the middle of the downstairs- so unless you are seated in front of the stage/mezzanine you will not see/hear the live music anymore
Geno Brown: It’s a vibe here. Went on a Thursday night and enjoyed the people and music. Get your reservations in earlier or just show up and grab a seat at the bar.

MassJazz: what do users think?
Yalissa Saint: the women who work there are always angry and respond rudely
Jamal Beauge: I can never get a hold of a real person it’s always the robot talking. Terrible
Alejandro Gomez: Great service, great facilities.
j j: Worst experience I ever had I been there 7 times and they keep giving me diff information
Tommy Igoe: In and out expectedly
Brandon Siah: If I can give you guys 0 stars I would. You all are making it very difficult to get in contact on the phone
Omar Albarghouty: Worst service ever.
George: Appointments book out months in advance, but when you do get to your appt everything is very efficient. In/out in around 15 minutes with a friendly and helpful clerk.*Have your forms and documents ready* or risk another months-long wait.
Nicholas Ventura: Not a good system, had an appointment but then appointment got rescheduled and they would take me because I needed to confirm appointment.
Sherry: So bad here.
Jeff Nolan: No respect
Angela Colon: Security guard gave a really negative energy. He acted as though he was being inconvenienced by the people that were using the RMV. Everyone that helped us after that were great. The Woman that helped us really helped my Daughter relax some, she even gave her tips on how to take the best picture then allowed her to take a handful. She also had beautiful nails and pink hair. My Daughter even mentioned on her way home how she really appreciated her being so nice.
Soft Light: Staff & Gustomer Service is Great ..🤩; It doesn't require much time and procedures...;to facilitate this, It's preferable to take an appointment on the website... (through my experience yesterday...).
Duc Nguyen (Nothing): It is the first time I came there. RMV clean & clear. The staff were dedicated and friendly. Thank you for your help.
Prasenjit Mondal: Lovely people and very much friendly. But they strictly follow rules and regulations. Remember to bring your required original documents otherwise you have to come back. Also, they are maintaining their service extremely well inspite of this unprecedented covid situation. As of April 2023, you can go and make appointment onsite but you have to wait a long. They basically have two lines-with and without appointment, everyone in the with appointment line should get the ticket first then without appointment will get the tickets for appointment. It takes so long, so it's better to have your appointment before coming! Hope it helps 🙂
Stephanie Fernandes: If I can give zero stars I would. My husband and I just moved from out of town and we walked in to transfer our registration to MA. Wait was not long.My husband and I got recently married. My vehicle I purchased before our wedding is in my maiden name. My DL was changed to my married last name before we moved but I didn't get to go to the DMV to changed my registration before we left. The African lady who helped us was absolute garbage. She refused to changed my registration to MA even though I had ALL appropriate documentation. She didn't even look at my paperwork and cut me off. Stated I needed a MA license before they change my registration to MA and to my married last name..Why in the world does that matter? My previous state DL is already changed LEGALLY. What difference and logical sense does that make?Funny thing is I went to Easthampton location this week for my DL and the DL appt was a breeze. Everyone was incredibly kind. Also, when I asked the reps there about my registration problem in Boston, they looked at all my paperwork I had (the same documents) and the lady rolled her eyes when I told her what the African lady said to me. She assured me there is no rule where I need a MA license first and that they will happily change my registration right then and there (sadly I drove my husband's car). I was furious and laughing. I can't believe I didn't go to EastHampton to begin with.Avoid this location at all costs. The employees have no clue what they are doing and it'll save you from time wasted.
Salah Belghiti: Service are awful, I went to register a car and the staff didn’t give me time or help to complete the application I asked about the supervisor and she claimed she was the supervisor ( *** lying 🤥)I escalated the problem and they bring me a girl she was walking over there, nothing to do with RMVWorst things is people are working without badge.
Karen I: Clean, organized and kind.
Marta Rivera: Son lo maximo
Scott Gregan: Month and a half wait just to get my ID. That I need to pick up my prescriptions. Covid is over. Guess they don't have have 2 catch up like the rest of us... Must be nice.
Xu Song: The worst place I‘ve ever been, being racial discriminated by the servant. I waited an hour in the outside and came in at 9am , one of their servant told me to wait outside the line after 10 guys who are came later than me(they are also walk-in). We paid these people to serve us and they treated us like they are the boss.

Jordan Hall: what do users think?
Carla D'avanzo: I don’t know how it is possible I never been here in 12 years. Amazing venue, so beautiful, elegant, the organ is majestic and the sound and the view great
Josh Reynolds: Great acoustics in a beautiful 120 year old building right by the Symphony or Mass Av.e subway stops.
Stephan Gilly: One of my favorite venues in Boston to catch week night performances
Andris Vizulis: As usual, the acoustics and atmosphere here were world-class.
Mary Jane Sangster: Beautiful place inside. Acoustics were very good. Does have an elevator if you need it. Our seats were great but not much leg room
Seth Gertz-Billingsley: Beautiful hall. Lovely architecture.
Meng Choy: Beautiful concert hall with impressive pipe organ. Very intimate setting as the seats are not very far from the stage.
stacy zunino: Acoustics are great!
Tinatin Surguladze: Small beautiful concert venue for classic music 🎶
David Standring: Gorgeous concert venue with great sound. Parking is tough around the area. Best to go by uber or trains
Jacqueline Valatka: Love Jordan Hall. Lovely space for a concert!
Vini Falciano: A magnificent venue!
Gabriel Giannelli: Beautiful hall with fantastic acoustics. It’s a treat to see a show here!
Chief 0: Beautiful space and wonderful sound.
John Doherty: Unique and historical venue.
Radio OfHorror: Amazing experience
Stephen “MAC” McCabe: Always fun.
Matthias von Davier: Great convert venue.

Bandita Joarder: NEC Prep is an amazing program that engages children in classical music.
Junsik Choi: A little worn out but still an amazing hall for classical concerts. Lots of quality free concerts are available. Check their websites.

Symphony Hall: what do users think?
Chi-Sun Chan: It is a great venue for everyone and also the home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra! They have preserved the original architectural style and materials, even the audience seating is original, all to avoid any alterations that could affect the acoustics of the hall. One of the best halls in the 🌎!
Ori Spigelman: Pros: Great ambiance, sound, and culture.Cons: Seats that make you beg for the finaleCoughs: Guaranteed!
Nansen Alexandre: I called this place :" The temple of music".
Tasha O'Hara: Beautiful venue
Anna Rombe Shoov: Simply the best.
Sasha Berkovich: BSO is wonderful, Symphony Hall is a fitting place for their performances
RRS: Beautiful building!
Debra Mozill: A wonderful way to spend an afternoon!!!
Syed Family: Beautiful interior. Spacious seating.
Robert Candela: A complete marvel. Gorgeous concert hall with acoustics to die for.
Gabriel Babuch: Beautiful venue, the performance I attended (Evgeny Kissin) was incredible, but beware the audience. Had 7 cellphones go off during the performance. Unsure if it's simply unaware people or boomers who don't know how to silence their cellphones, but it made an otherwise perfect performance less than stellar through no fault of the performer's. Perhaps stricter enforcement could help.
Peter Ph: Musical heaven!
roger selsov: Heads up, they won't let you bring your drinks into the main hall.
Lisa Taylor: Phenomenal acoustics, gorgeous space. Heard Ravel, the American premiere of a contemporary work by a Parisian composer, and Rachmaninoff's symphony 2 in its entirety. A gorgeous night of music while on spring break family vacation with our two teens.
RAVI ACHATTIL: In one word marvelous experiance
Nicole Smith: On my most recent visit I went for a panel discussion before the performance which was eye opening and very informative. The music was beautifully presented.I enjoyed reading some of the historical information plaques during intermission. There are restrooms on the first and second level (I didn't go up to the third) and water fountains with water bottle filling stations!
Rick Peralta: One of the great and venerable music halls. There is a wide variety of performances ranging from Holliday Pops, and Symphony to celebrity series.
Ordabek Duissen: BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
W G-Hsu: We go all the time, and it's generally lovely, 4 stars due to an incredibly aggressive female security guard.
Ku Ni: Aging symphony hall hosting concerts at least every two days
