Brazilian Top Team Boston: what do users think?
Yahya Kaddouri: I just wanna know if this club still open.
Dexterity: I’ve been training here for 4 years, it’s a great place and great teachers. Jiu-jitsu changed my LIFE
Tata’s Vlog: My kids has been going there for the past 6 years , great environment,Awesome teachers ! i really recommend it !!
Ricardo R: I’ve been training at BTT Boston since 2009. Great atmosphere, a lot of higher belts and Prof. Daniel Gazoni (5th degree black belt) is a pioneer of BJJ in New England with over 20 years of experience. This sport had helped us a lot in the positive way. We meet so many people from many places, people from different countries, and we always learn something from each other. Highly recommended.
Louis Turner: Went for a BJJ class a few years ago it was good, returned to Boston to see family, this week and have tried several times to call, tried several times to chat online and even left an email before I came, to ask about a few things...no response at all. I HAVE called during hours posted(hours which the website says yall are open), have tried to chat during hours posted online as open and having class...no response. Today there was supposed to be a muay thai class at 12, I got there at 1215, no one was there.I'm curious if the scheduled times are accurate as during those hours no one answered the phone when I called. I know it's not all about me but its frustrating when reaching out about class times, payment(which wasn't working online) etc and no response is given, not even after the fact. The muay thai class, an instructor Leo were great, but due to poor lack of communication, its a one star affair.Be well. "Ish"
Patrick: Bah!!!…ruhhh…..uh
M L: Took my first class, I was a little nervous driving over - but they made me feel right at home!!!The experts here are great teachers, the students have a positive attitude, and this locations environment, atmosphere and comradery inspire growth.see you inside!
Jean Harris: I like this gym very much. Great ppl to wrk out with and around, everyone's nice. Staff is great. And also a great price for the family if you need to bring kids with you. Check to see the times available to babysitting.
Buggyjae Bjj: Awesome campCame from a entire different gymInstantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the peopleEver since thenI never left
Amina Ferrer: location is awesome super competitive and yet still laid backbetween the long list of black belts always there training to the lower belts there everyone is willing to help you out !!!!highly recommendboth kids & adults
Marian V Esanu: If you want to feel like you belong to your bjj fam, BTT is the best place to be. Regardless if you are a hobbyist or want to compete, prof Daniel will help you achieve your goals.
Adrian Eșanu: The best Jiu Jitsu team I ever trained with!!!
Gimena DeFilpo: Nice place I wish I can give them a 5 star but the jiu jitsu for kids there didn’t went well for my 8 years old ! Other kid BROKE his finger just bc he didn’t tap out on the mat !! The kids was the same age but more experience . My just started and learning . I called the manager few times nobody call me back . My child really want to learn jiu jitsu but after few hours at EMERGENCY room of course he don’t want to back there . BROKE FINGER!! Very sad .
Kenneth Siriani: Best group of guys and gals around and the instructors are second to none. Very competitive ( they teach but also compete at a very high level) and make it challenging and fun at the same time. I’ve got life events I’m going though, but look forward to returning. I genuinely like coming here as I consider many here my friends
Leticia Ugiete: Critical:Professionalism
Jair Morselli: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
alexander pabrezis: Amazing great school and unbelievable instructor's and some of the best people students I've ever meet
perry gagnon: Honestly I can't even begin to say enough great things about Brazilian top team Boston they have a team or better yet said a "family" that is welcoming to all. The atmosphere caters to just about anyone. Those who may be competitive, people that may just be looking to lose weight while learning a valuable skill set. it really doesn't matter because under this roof it's managed and instructed by Professor Daniels a real gem in the jiu-jitsu community. also followed by his many successful black belts who are always willing to share with and progress all students. if you're looking for a loyal honest family based jujitsu academy that will give you the results you're looking for this is probably the one give them a try, you won't regret it!
Fabio Incalado: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueProfessor Daniel is the best professor you can have. The team is super nice, I learned a lot and have a lot of fun.
Daniel De Oliveira: Best Jiu Jitsu gym Metro Boston. Professor Daniel Gazzoni is very knowledgeable and personable. Great atmosphere.
Zakaria Azeggouar Wallen: One of the best gyms out there. Has very different style from Brazilian jujitsu to muathai and Olympic style taekwondo. Friendly instructors. Great with kids. Multiple blackbelt during BJJ.

Kimura Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: what do users think?
Luke B: Undoubtedly one of the best places I’ve ever trained. Trained at a lot of places and Kimura is absolutely trained. Coach Joe is a mentor to me 👊
Mohamed Jefri: great place, nice and humble people, very recommended
Guillaume C: This Brazilian jujitsu club is a rare gem.The teachers are extremely dedicated, friendly and pedagogues, they are present every day with 3 classes per day and extra weekend sessions with open mat. The atmosphere is excellent there, like in a big family; you will find what you are looking for from amateur to competitive practice. It's a real pleasure to train there and I wish I had found sooner!!!!!
Josh Tilles: Great place, excellent instructors. So I happy I found them.
J T: An excellent place to train! Kimura BJJ Boston has a large, clean facility, many excellent black belt instructors, and talented and friendly training partners. I'm a purple belt who travels a lot, and whenever I'm in Massachusetts I do my best to attend a class or two.
Bart Heilbron: Started BJJ @Kimura together with my 13-year old son about 6 months ago. Amazing experience, the best instructors, welcoming and respectful atmosphere. Great mix of all ages, body types, and higher and lower belts. The first couple of weeks were tough (especially for Daddy ;-) but now both of us regret and feel bad every we time we have to skip a training. Highly recommended for all ages and the best work out you will ever get anywhere.
Ja B: This is an amazing place to learn bjj! I came here with zero experience in wrestling and fell in love with it the first day, everyone here is great and wants you to succeed and pushes you to perform to the best of your ability. If you want to learn bjj I definitely recommend coming here.
Grace Mazzarella: My co-worker found out I tried BJJ before I moved down for a new job, and he recommended Kimura to me. I am so glad he did! The community is warm and welcoming, the instructors are thorough and patient, and those at a higher level are always happy to help out those of us with less experience.
Lucas Marchifrazier: Great instructors, amazing community. Everyone is very helpful to beginners and committed to their progression.
Michael Z: Great place, very friendly staff and great exercise for the kids
Jack P: I came to Kimura with 0 knowledge of any martial arts and was welcomed with open arms. Joe, along with the other trainers, are highly knowledgeable, patient and motivating; everything you’d want when learning something brand new. The folks I trained with were friendly and willing to help if you want to put in the work. For sure no egos here but definitely a competitive spirit which I loved. It’s hard to imagine how much I’ve learned in 6 months (still a lot more to learn) but I highly recommend Kimura for whichever level of BJJ you’re at. Also, mats + gym is very clean!
Keith Borgaro: My son and daughter, age 7 and 4, have been training at Kimura for the last 6 months and love it! The instructors are excellent and do a great job helping the kids develop the skills and self confidence needed to progress in the sport and everyday life. I’ve even started training here myself and love that we’re able to do this as a family. Highly recommend!!!
Isaac Carey: Writing as someone who as never trained in combat or even contact sports before. I spent my first month of BJJ training at Kimura in Watertown MA. I primary worry going into training BJJ was what was the learning atmosphere going to be like.Once I begin I quickly found Kimura to be a great place to learn. The black-belt instructors Joey Bell, Marbs, and Cormac are great. They clearly have there own games and different things to show you and they are approachable. I also found the community at Kimura to be great. A number of the purple and blue-belt student are down to earth and happy to train with you and help you develop. While the gym trains traditionally with belt hierarchy, I never felt looked down upon as a new white belt. I’m off to college in NY where I will train there but look forward to rejoining Kimura BJJ when I return to MA!
Priya Radhakrishnan: Great people and a great place to train BJJ for adults and a super place to sign up your kids! The culture and discipline at this place makes you want to come back and continue to train.
Keith Martin: I dropped in while I was in town for the month and the staff was amazing. They take the time to help each individual student based off of their needs. The classes are very informative and everyone there is very welcoming. If you are in the area and want to start jiu jitsu this is the place to go!
Cj Beck: So thankful to have joined such a great community. Everyone is there to help each other and I’m so happy to have signed up
Andreane: My 9 yo son has been learning BJJ for a year now and his progress is impressive. The masters are patient and kind. They are amazing with kids all age, always supportive and encouraging. Kids learn respect in all aspects, of their master, their peers and the sport. They are not just teammates, but a family too. They support each other as they train together. He has gain strength in his core as well as balance and tenacity. We are very happy that was welcomed in the Kimura BJJ family!
Hidden Gem: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismGreat staff who really care about you and are dedicated to teaching. Joe, Marb, and Cormac are top notch and treat you like family. I had to drop out due to my schedule but I will return the near future
Jesus Bonilla: Wonderful, Marvelous, Formidable, The Best Place to be All the Way Around.
Kristopher Reynolds: Kimura is a incredibly welcoming place. Everyone here looks after each other we train hard but have fun doing so. The instructions Marb and Joe are amazing and really pay attention. This is my first BJJ school and I am very glad that I have chosen kimura to start my BJJ journey I honestly do not think I could’ve chosen a better academy in the area. You won’t be disappointed here.
Delia Guo: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueMy son loves this place and the instructors. They make the kids program fun while learning new drills and moves.

MMA at Broadway Jiu-Jitsu and Fitness: what do users think?
戴学进: Came by to train judo during a visit to Boston. The coaches were great, and I had a good training experience overall as someone who has had bjj and judo experience. There were a lot of good randori rounds, and I did not feel like punches were pulled for newcomers/visitors. However, I would say that it is not the most beginner-friendly setting, as the mats are rather hard and the class format is very loose, with more emphasis on individuals working their own techniques independently.
Marlon: Great instructors and classmates
Ben Smrtic: Very nice place filled with friendly people
Brandon Ceperley: Great high level facility, great environment
Moaz Mahmood: The guys are mad chill and welcoming. Dima took answered all my questions over phone and helped me have a smooth experience in class. Afterwards, since I was a visiting blue belt , he even went with me to the nearest subway station and swiped his metro card to let me in. The class itself was also great, got smashed by the white belts there - super technical guys. 10/10 would recommend
John Abney: I was looking for a gym to train at in Boston for a few days, and was immediately welcomed here. Great, friendly group of instructors and students, and great competition. All around a fantastic experience.
Shane Melisi: Coming from another gym to train BJJ here. Gym is very professional and attentive to each student. Would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Boston area!
Brian Saunders: I drop in here whenever I'm in town for work. They're always extremely welcoming, and the jiu jitsu is high level. Go get some!
Esperando a graduação OSS!
Cem Gultekin: I was in town for the weekend and Broadway BJJ was super accommodating for an out-of-towner to get a class in. Level education and support is top notch and staff is extremely helpful/flexible. If you’re looking for a serious BJJ gym in Boston this it it.
Malakhai Pearson: 10/10, this place is super solid. The training sessions are competitive, JC and the other profs are incredibly knowledgable. If you are looking to learn self defense or, improve your BJJ, then I would highly recommend this place.
Devon Thormodsgaard: Dropped in for some rolls and felt lucky to find this Dojo. I’m an old white belt & they were very welcoming to me. Luckily Thursday was open mat and they had about 60 folks getting after it. Mats we’re clean and everyone I trained with and spoke to was extremely respectful. Can’t wait to come back and recommend to all.
Gabriel Cuchacovich: Great coaches, very approachable and friendly
Ron Tassoni: Instructors were super knowledgeable and professional. Talent pool was deep so there was plenty of competition at every level. Dima at the front desk was really helpful when I went there for the first time.
Benjamin Skeer: Horrible coach/owner, before class, high pressure sales to switch membership from free trial before the class. During the class, I broke the bone broke in my knee. As I was hopping on one foot, towards the door to leave, the coach (Demetri, Russian Guy) blocked my way, and said "hurry up, the cleaners are coming" and told me to put my shoe on my bad foot. I told him I was okay, this continued for 3 minutes standing on one leg, I finally got past him, and as I was hobbling up the stairs he called after me and continued to try to sell to me.The other critical reviews about unprofessionalism, and rudeness is spot on. The owner responds to these online comments with fake niceness. All he cares about is selling you a membership.
Faris Katkhuda: Stopped by the Saturday All-level judo class. They separated the class by experience level, which was great for a beginner like me. The instructors were very welcoming, patient, and found a way to give everyone some personal attention. Would highly recommend!
Sam Guinan-Nyhart: Dropped in for a training session while I was in town, excellent all around and very welcoming!
Liam Donovan: Welcoming gym that gets right to teaching. They were flexible and understanding when I had to cancel my membership.
Brandon Knowlden: I was in Boston for work and dropped in for a morning session. They welcomed me with open arms and as a purple belt, it was a challenging class as the team really knows their stuff. Great instruction, no egos and a spotless facility. Highly recommend!
Aaron Eicoff: Big martial arts gym. Many nice people. Athletic training environment.
Daniel Medalie: I am a BJJ black belt from Cleveland, Ohio and was visiting Boston for a conference. I dropped in to roll and couldn't be more happy. The whole gym was welcoming. They lent me a gi and introduced me to the whole class. We had some great instruction and rolling and the level of Bjj I experienced was top notch. I highly recommend this gym and will definitely add it to my must visit list the next time I am in Boston!

South Boston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu: what do users think?
Justin Milner: Very welcoming, high level instruction, good mix of beginners and elite.
Andre Denson: Clean and welcoming facility with extremely high level instruction.
Brandy Hernandez: South Boston BJJ is the best in the area. Professor Ruben is a great instructor and has the ability to cater to people who are new to the sport, while also challenging those who are more experienced. The gym puts an emphasis on learning at every level, as well as safety. I was impressed that the second day I came to the gym, I was welcomed by my first name, which made me feel right at home. From there it was a no brainer where I should train.
Tommy DiMauro: Not knowing a lot about BJJ or martial arts, I picked the gym closest to my office and after a year I am beyond happy with the way it worked out. The gym culture and overall attitude is very welcoming and inclusive, the instructors are very knowledgeable and there is a very good blend of skill levels through the gym.
Jacob Taylor: I was recommended here by a friend that worked with the owner. My friend says "you'll love his style of teaching". My friend was 100% right. Unless I have to move out of Massachusetts, I don't think I'll ever be a member of any other gym.
Christopher Zamarripa: Started going here a couple months ago after moving to the area and have had a seamless transition into this gym. Ruben has created a great learning environment that accommodates for all levels, and that effectively prepares his students for top competition. The gym is relaxed and welcoming, but maintains a focus on training hard. Couldn’t be happier with my experience so far!
Connor McGovern: I’ve had my fair share of training at multiple gyms prior to South Boston BJJ and I have to say this gym is by far the BEST gym I’ve ever trained at. Ruben has created a gym culture that is fundamentally skilled, hard-working, and extremely welcoming. And if that’s not a good enough sell, they also have 3 golden retrievers that’ll greet you when you walk in.
Cian Moriarty: Been going here since I moved back to Boston at the beginning of last Summer. Ruben teaches the most effective techniques in gi and no gi jiu jitsu. The training environment is excellent for anyone interested in training jiu jitsu. Highly recommend training here if you are in the Boston area.
Ethan Cotler: Ruben is an excellent instructor, along with Matt, Jack, and Rob. Ruben’s a phenomenal black belt who genuinely wants to see all his students succeed by instructing in the teachings he’s learned from the great John Danaher. I’m a white belt but have been to a number of gyms—and this one, I can safely say, has the best atmosphere I’ve experienced for learning through not only lessons but also sparring. This gym is definitely a gem, and it attracts amazing talent. Also, his dogs are a big plus.
Ken Salvatore: Are you tired of the everyday porrada lifestyle at your current gym? Come into South Boston Jiu Jitsu for high level coaching in a clean and inviting environment.
Hakeem Muhammad: I studied Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at South Boston BJJ for well over a year and enjoyed every moment of it. I think there are many factors about South Boston BJJ that distinguish it. There is a real motivating but cordial atmosphere that encourages consistent training. One of my favorite parts of studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at South Boston BJJ was that the curriculum regularly included wrestling counters and we drilled takedowns . The wide availability of classes, both gi and no gi, at all hours of the day leave no room for excuses to not train consistently. One of my favorite self-improvement books is ”Be Obsessed or Be Average” by Grant Cardone and as a result, in whatever I am learning, I make it a goal to study under people who are obsessed with the subject area that they are teaching in.This was one of my main attractions to studying Jiujutsu at South Boston BJJ. The instructor, Ruben, has a healthy obsession with Jiu Jitsu which rubs off on his students and he even regularly teaches and trains on holidays. Unfortunately, due to life circumstances I had to relocate from Boston to Chicago and was very inconsistent in my training towards the end. Despite not training in several weeks and being anxious I was out of shape, when visiting prospective jiujutsu schools in Chicago to train at, one local instructor wanted to promote me to blue belt after observing a few rolls. Great place to train to study Jiu Jutsu.
Daniel Medalie: I am a BJJ black belt from Cleveland, Ohio and was visiting Boston for a conference. I dropped in to roll and couldn't be more happy. The whole gym was welcoming. I trained with them in nogi, and we had some great instruction and rolling. The level of Bjj I experienced was top notch. I highly recommend this gym and will definitely add it to my must visit list the next time I am in Boston!
Daniel Starling: Dropped in for a Tuesday night class. Really awesome guys and gals. The place was clean and had a really great vibe. Highly recommend checking it out.
Mike Ofrias: Did a few drop-ins about a month ago. Can’t say enough good things about this Academy. Rubens instruction is of extremely high caliber. Beautiful facility - super clean. Awesome bunch of people to train with as well. It was an absolute pleasure to train with everyone. Would definitely come back if I was in the area again
Christian Sullivan: Great school. Ruben, and his students are very welcoming. High level, and very clean.
John Savvidis: Can not state enough how awsome this place is. The gym/environment is amazing, everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. Professor Ruben is a very high level instructor and competitor with the ability to teach all levels and styles in a way that is easy and clear to understand and perform the techniques shown. He is also very kind and has a positive attitude focused around helping you become better. Please check them out!
Chris Trombley: Trained here for two months during a summer internship. Very friendly and welcoming with great instruction. Highly recommend
Owen Tipton: Came in for two days on vacation and they had great training and instruction. Very cool people too
Abhijit Marar: The gym is clean and very welcoming. Professor Ruben is a great instructor, very methodical and points out key details at every step. In general, I found the method of instruction very nice and useful. This is the sort of instruction that is easy to absorb. He goes through crucial details during drilling and then we went through situational roles that involved the position that was drilled. Everyone in the gym was also very nice to roll with. If you are ever in Boston, I would 100% recommend visiting the gym.
hugheskevin0: I visited from out of town. Despite being an active competitor, Ruben is approachable and welcoming. The environment is relaxed and relatively informal. $60 for a week is more than fair even if you're only in town a few days. Ruben teaches the majority of the classes. He provides quality instruction with insightful details. Ruben's golden retrievers sum up the environment when he runs out between classes to take the puppy out.😄
sirjacob81: If you want to learn real Jiu Jitsu this is the gym for you! Great facility and classes run by Ruben are at the highest level. If you ever in Boston you have to check it out!

Gracie Barra Boston: what do users think?
Sam Zorpette: I trained here for a few years, and have trained at a handful of other BJJ gyms in the northeast US. GB Boston is a top class gym. Great instructors and community of students. Undoubtedly one of the best in Boston
Nizia Viana: I love Gracie Barra .They truly care for your child’s development around self defense. In todays world bullying is everywhere and you need to protect your child from it. Gracie Barra is the place to prepare your child to learn self defense and interpersonal skills. Leadership, learning self-defense, increased strength and many more. BJJ transformed my son’s personality from shy to confident. I highly recommend them because it has been the best investment I ever done for my child’s education. In less than two months my son learned how to take control and most importantly finish the fight without hurting the other person. I encourage parents to give this place an opportunity to help your child build confidence and self defense skills. I promise you won’t regret it!
Tom Graham: The professors here are some of the best they are professional, courteous, unbiased, and patient. They really care about teaching and are more than helpful. The only negative side is managment he is a very biased individual when he's present 🙄
Henry Renaud: A great place to train! We were visiting from West Palm Beach and brought my son’s gear (he trains at Gracie Barra Jupiter) in hopes to get a training session in. We were welcomed by a great group of guys and immediately felt like family. Although it was an adult class, they worked in my 10 yr old son. He loved the class and can’t wait to go back! Thanks to Professor and all the students for making this experience a great one!
hima sagar: Welcoming and legit.
Matthew Goetchius: Great place! Did a private, 7 person group lesson for my brother and his friends, and we all had an excellent time. Staff was exceptionally accommodating of our time-constraints, and even gave us some extra time since some of our party arrived late! The team was incredibly knowledgeable and my brother, who was the only person with Jiu Jitsu experience prior, enjoyed learning a few new styles/techniques! Would recommend to anyone, beginner or otherwise.
Luke Muller: Great teacher and great community to train with. People willing to try new things and work together to improve. Would highly recommend training at this gym
Michael Eldridge: Trained here for a little over 2 years while living in Boston and was consistently impressed. The instruction is great and the community is truly top notch, as people are friendly, train hard, and leave their egos at the door. The emphasis is on improving yourself and your teammates and I'll miss training here now that I'm leaving Boston. Obrigado por tudo!
Brian Cutts: Great place! I got to come by and visit Boston to PR for American Grappling Federation. I’m lucky to have dropped by the Boston location to hand out flyers. If you need somewhere to focus on a skill and relieve stress, go here!
Robin Rouzeau: bon accueil et cours de qualité. Bonne expérience pour un étranger qui souhaite pratiquer pendant ses vacances !merci
Andy Dienes: very professional and beginner-friendly. I really enjoyed the few months I trained at GB Boston
brickcityluv: The best professors, support system, and family atmosphere for the up and coming athlete, and the veteran BJJ practitioner alike... Amazing place~ OSS!
alexander pabrezis: The most humble people hard working computers family atmosphere great professor's
Brendan Lynch: The Best "All Around" BJJ GymHands down the best BJJ gym I've been to. I've been to plenty of gyms all around the country for BJJ and Gracie Barra Boston is where I made the most progress. Regardless of skill level this place is perfect for you. Every professor is dedicated to making you not only the best BJJ practitioner, but the best person you can be by giving you the tools to excel in all areas of life.
Ishan Basu-Kesselman: My home gym is Gracie Barra Santa Ana. I was on vacation with my son visiting family and was in serious need of a good training day. The closest gym was Gracie Barra Boston. I emailed them to ask if me and my son could borrow a gi and train as a visitor. We got a quick response and a warm welcome to come and train that day. We met Professor Eduardo and the team when we got there and had an incredible training session. It just shows how no matter which GB in the world you visit you are always home. I recommend Gracie Barra Boston to anyone looking for the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy in the area. Can’t wait to train again the next time we are in the area.
Phil Poma: Attended the 6:30 AM class while on vacation. Great instruction and training! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Great way to get your training in first thing in the morning - especially while on vacation with the family. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend Gracie Barra Boston!
Brenten Scire: Good people!
Zach Hyman: I'd tried training at two other gyms around Boston, and neither compared to when I first walked into Gracie Barra to try their Fundamentals class. The GB Boston family is incredibly welcoming. The gym is organized and clean, and the classes are structured with a balance of learning and doing (but not overly rigid, and with time to roll and practice at the end). The coaches/professors are patient, and mindful of ensuring newcomers are well-situated. It's also convenient to get to by T - literally across the street from a stop on the Green Line. It's a very different vibe from the other gyms I've tried, and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who's considering trying out Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the first time!
Skoty Rea: I’ve been here for over 4 years and highly recommend this place for anyone looking to learn Jiu Jitsu and self defense or just get into shape! Very high quality instruction and overall awesome group of people.
Kevin Sampson: Great gym, awesome group of people train here. All levels from fundamentals to advanced.

Brazilian Martial Arts Center: what do users think?
Mike Jones: Stepping stone for kids but there’s better options out there. I can’t speak for adults or older individuals.
Marco R: World class instruction and a welcoming environment
Francesco Carpinito: Great gym great coaches
Jesus Diaz: BMAC, is a very awesome academy,Very technical .Everyone is very motivated to help one another.Honestly to me it feels more than just a team.At BMAC it’s a family type of vibe.Everyone is so encouraging! It’s a great uplifting feeling when you’re done with a class At BMAC.
Adalton Alves: Otimo trabalho com as crianças!!!
Marcio Eler: For me best experience ever great team a good teachers and our Master sensei Marcelo it's changing my life I recommend everyone try it.
Niall Clancey: Awesome gym! I was looking for something new outside of just running and lifting and I was able to find that at BMAC. With really knowledge instructors you get the chance to learn something new every class. You train hard and feel like you get a great workout in every class. Also, there is a sense of camaraderie amongst those who train here, which makes you feel like you're apart of a team again.Having no prior experience in martial arts I couldn't have asked for a better place to start!
Matthew Hirst: I have been training both BJJ and Muay Thai at BMAC for a little over a year and love it. Great instructors and training partners. A very welcoming and motivating environment, filled with great people.
greg play: Great environment, excellent teachers is a real family
Sarah Sacala: Love this place. I’ve been doing Muay Thai here for the last 6months and am hooked. I was going to another dojo not far from here and also loved it, but it came to the point where I felt like I wasn’t growing anymore in the sport there. I made the choice to switch gyms, and I am glad I did! I feel like I’ve grown so much as a marital artist here- and we’re only just getting started. The coaches are awesome and always have something new to teach me/ a way to get me to the next level of where I am striving to be.I know it can be intimidating, especially for females in a male dominated sport, but you will find nothing but love and hard work at this place.
Derek Sarno: Very welcoming place to learn BJJ! Great Information, great workouts, and great friends to make. If you're thinking of trying a martial art, it's the place to do it.
rutayan patro: I love this school. The instructors are very knowledgeable and very welcoming. With all the technical knowledge and seriousness of this school, the instructors are trying their best to form a community. We hang out for UFC matches and it’s always great to find company to watch these. The senior belts are also like instructors and are extremely patient with new students like me. Highly recommended if you want to learn jiu jitsu.
Alex Marshall: BEST GYM IN BOSTON.
Gabriel Fiol: I have been training at this gym for the last 6 months and I gotta say I love the classes and the coaches are top notch. I would recommend this gym to anyone interested in becoming a martial artist!
Juliana Masci: Completely unsafe place with wrong people calledthemselves"professionals" husband got hurt there with someone that was new at that time with no supervision from a real professional horrible experience paid a fortune for medical bills and they never pay our unused balance.Unsafe and dirty place.

Riley Saeger: Everyone's passionate and no matter what your level is, you will be challenged and pushed out of your comfort zone. Come join the team!
victor oliveira: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueExcellent professional coaches specially my master Chris he does an amazing job with us!

Empower Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy: what do users think?
Sikai Yang: Very welcoming and positive training environment. Coach Michael has put his time, energy, and passion into building BJJ athletes from the ground up here in Boston.Thank you so much for welcoming us in!
A Andres: Offering one day, Free, trial. Instructor very patient and direct.Sitting here at my desk thinking of jiu-jitsu moves. Highly recommend.
Andrew Phong: I've been training at Empower since the beginning and I love learning the art of jiu jitsu here. Coach is very thoughtful and intentional with the details he teaches during demonstrations. Also love the all white look ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Michael Theise: Very welcoming studio with incredibly knowledgeable and respectful instructor.
Karim J Gibson: A family business dedicated to people of all ages and goals. Sensei works hard to provide many years of knowledge to the community.
K C: I’ve trained with Michael for couple years. To be honest you will be impressed by his superb techniques and knowledge. Different as many other bjj instructors who neglect standing techniques, Michael also has excellent takedown skills. All in all It’s hard to see a bjj master has such details and experience in the Great Boston area.
Ray: A great place to learn to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I was looking for a place to continue training after I finished high school and college wrestling. High-level instruction with a strong emphasis on pure BJJ fundamentals. We also train gi and no-gi.
Diane Ah-Kine: Dropped in to attend an Open Mat at Empower BJJ...Michael and Alissa were very welcoming. The gym is clean and simple - no frills, just solid BJJ. There was the option of drilling, and a little instruction before we finished the open mat session with rolls. Solid rolls here, everyone is very respectful. Michael Fontes is a very technical teacher - this is going to be great for the community!

And the instructors not only know their material, they’re great teachers. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wishes to challenge themselves and learn this great art.
J Sonora: I’ve been training at MassBJJ Arlington for a few months now and i wish I would have started years ago. The instruction and knowledge from all the professors/Coaches is top notch and professional. Mike the owner and head instructor makes sure that every student trains safely and has a positive experience when they either take a Free trial class, or begin their jiu-jitsu journey. This school has a place for everybody, from women looking to learn self-defense, kids, young athletes looking to get into competition, or your average Joe. I would encourage anybody looking into this school to give it a try and experience it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. I recommend this school in a heartbeat to anybody that’s interested.

Donna Bailey: Staff are attentive and personable .
Sean Bruno: Fantastic gym. Guys are cool, plenty of space and super convenient to get to. Members know the lines between rolling too reckless and rolling too careful. Great tempo!
JP Londono: From the moment I walked into the MassBJJ Arlington school I knew the energy was just right, the environment was super friendly, and I was welcomed as if I was a member of the team. I have trained in several different schools around the world and MassBJJ has everything you need to begin your Jiu Jitsu journey. If you’re looking for Self-defense training, or looking to get into competition, this is the place to go. Every single member I encounter from this school was super humble and willing to give you guidance with whatever you needed, definitely zero egos at this school. I will definitely be coming back to this school every time I come to visit family in Boston. Thank you to Mike the Owner/Proffesor and all the staff and team members of the MASSBJJ academy for such an awesome experience.
Carlos Abreu: MassBJJ by far is my personal favorite place to go to! The atmosphere is electric, and we are a martial art community that hold each other accountable to be the best that we can. Very inclusive community! No place I would rather spend more time at then MassBJJ! 👊🏽 🏽

Joshua Griffiths: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueAMAZING! Can't say enough good things about Mike and his program. His attention to detail and genuine love for teaching shows in every session at the school!
Steve Meade: Mike Pellegrino and the whole team of instructors at Mass BJJ Arlington have been great. I am new to Ju Jitsu, a bit older, and not in the best shape of my life, but they have made sure that I can get the most out of the program. They have challenged me while simultaneously understanding where I am starting from. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Sergei Pustylnikov: Excellent BJJ school.

Andrew Cordes: Awesome place to learn, world class instructors. Great environment and very accommodating to everyone’s needs.
Kru John: I’ve been involved in the martial arts game for over 20 years. The first black belt I ever rolled with was in rio de janeiro in 1999 at the time I wrestled d1 in the United States . Since then I’ve been fortunate to be able to travel the world and train with many Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts and masters from many disciplines. I’ve met and trained with many great fighters jiu jitsu players both gi and no gi Muay Thai champions mma champions etc. and professor Marcos Tulios of BTT Allston is in my opinion absolutely top of the food chain. His jitsu both gi and no gi speaks for itself. Having won over 250 tournaments around the world Prof Tulios is a world champion many times over. As if this wasn’t enough he has a deep and impressive undefeated Vale Tudo record with more than ten championships belts. As well as an undefeated 12-0 record in professional mma. His wrestling is top notch as is his striking boxing, Muay Thai, and in particular mma stand up. His years of coaching and experience is obvious... his resume includes being a head mma instructor for the world famous American top team squad in Florida as well as a head coach of the famous blackazillion squad in Florida as well.Boston is very fortunate to have a professional of prof Tulios skill level. Even more so because wether a student is a white belt or a professional mma fighter prof Marcos dedicates the time and energy to develope his students skill sets as proper representatives of the world famous BTT (Brazilian Top Team) squad. He teaches all of the gi no gi mma beg to advanced classes personally and has a deep pride for the quality of his instruction and professionalism.
