Tohoku Judo Club: what do users think?
Aaron Cote: Great instructors and judo school to learn at.
Yael Aldrich: This is the best judo dojo we've ever been a part of. Friendly, great teachers, multicultural
J K: Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the visit.
William Chrysanthos: It feels like family every time I visit the dojo. There’s no more supportive and skillful place to train in Judo around. I recommend Tohoku to everyone!
Iulia Patriciu: Really good.
John Wick: I train at the Tohoku Judo Club and could not be more pleased. The pricing is more than fair and the amount of training one can receive is amazing. You can train 5x a week, 2hours a day if your body is up for it. I have trained in different martial arts before but fell in love with JUDO. The Sensei's are amazing and EXTREMELY talented in training the students. A different Sensei runs the class every night which allows for an excellent extensive varying training style. I LOVE THE TOHOKU JUDO FAMILY!
Louis Mathieu: really good judo place in the Boston area.
Riccardo Abbate: Great club, great people, great judo. If you are in the Boston area and you want to learn and practice judo, this is the place to go!

Brazilian Top Team Boston: what do users think?
Yahya Kaddouri: I just wanna know if this club still open.
Dexterity: I’ve been training here for 4 years, it’s a great place and great teachers. Jiu-jitsu changed my LIFE
Tata’s Vlog: My kids has been going there for the past 6 years , great environment,Awesome teachers ! i really recommend it !!
Ricardo R: I’ve been training at BTT Boston since 2009. Great atmosphere, a lot of higher belts and Prof. Daniel Gazoni (5th degree black belt) is a pioneer of BJJ in New England with over 20 years of experience. This sport had helped us a lot in the positive way. We meet so many people from many places, people from different countries, and we always learn something from each other. Highly recommended.
Louis Turner: Went for a BJJ class a few years ago it was good, returned to Boston to see family, this week and have tried several times to call, tried several times to chat online and even left an email before I came, to ask about a few things...no response at all. I HAVE called during hours posted(hours which the website says yall are open), have tried to chat during hours posted online as open and having class...no response. Today there was supposed to be a muay thai class at 12, I got there at 1215, no one was there.I'm curious if the scheduled times are accurate as during those hours no one answered the phone when I called. I know it's not all about me but its frustrating when reaching out about class times, payment(which wasn't working online) etc and no response is given, not even after the fact. The muay thai class, an instructor Leo were great, but due to poor lack of communication, its a one star affair.Be well. "Ish"
Patrick: Bah!!!…ruhhh…..uh
M L: Took my first class, I was a little nervous driving over - but they made me feel right at home!!!The experts here are great teachers, the students have a positive attitude, and this locations environment, atmosphere and comradery inspire growth.see you inside!
Jean Harris: I like this gym very much. Great ppl to wrk out with and around, everyone's nice. Staff is great. And also a great price for the family if you need to bring kids with you. Check to see the times available to babysitting.
Buggyjae Bjj: Awesome campCame from a entire different gymInstantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the peopleEver since thenI never left
Amina Ferrer: location is awesome super competitive and yet still laid backbetween the long list of black belts always there training to the lower belts there everyone is willing to help you out !!!!highly recommendboth kids & adults
Marian V Esanu: If you want to feel like you belong to your bjj fam, BTT is the best place to be. Regardless if you are a hobbyist or want to compete, prof Daniel will help you achieve your goals.
Adrian Eșanu: The best Jiu Jitsu team I ever trained with!!!
Gimena DeFilpo: Nice place I wish I can give them a 5 star but the jiu jitsu for kids there didn’t went well for my 8 years old ! Other kid BROKE his finger just bc he didn’t tap out on the mat !! The kids was the same age but more experience . My just started and learning . I called the manager few times nobody call me back . My child really want to learn jiu jitsu but after few hours at EMERGENCY room of course he don’t want to back there . BROKE FINGER!! Very sad .
Kenneth Siriani: Best group of guys and gals around and the instructors are second to none. Very competitive ( they teach but also compete at a very high level) and make it challenging and fun at the same time. I’ve got life events I’m going though, but look forward to returning. I genuinely like coming here as I consider many here my friends
Leticia Ugiete: Critical:Professionalism
Jair Morselli: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
alexander pabrezis: Amazing great school and unbelievable instructor's and some of the best people students I've ever meet
perry gagnon: Honestly I can't even begin to say enough great things about Brazilian top team Boston they have a team or better yet said a "family" that is welcoming to all. The atmosphere caters to just about anyone. Those who may be competitive, people that may just be looking to lose weight while learning a valuable skill set. it really doesn't matter because under this roof it's managed and instructed by Professor Daniels a real gem in the jiu-jitsu community. also followed by his many successful black belts who are always willing to share with and progress all students. if you're looking for a loyal honest family based jujitsu academy that will give you the results you're looking for this is probably the one give them a try, you won't regret it!
Fabio Incalado: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueProfessor Daniel is the best professor you can have. The team is super nice, I learned a lot and have a lot of fun.
Daniel De Oliveira: Best Jiu Jitsu gym Metro Boston. Professor Daniel Gazzoni is very knowledgeable and personable. Great atmosphere.
Zakaria Azeggouar Wallen: One of the best gyms out there. Has very different style from Brazilian jujitsu to muathai and Olympic style taekwondo. Friendly instructors. Great with kids. Multiple blackbelt during BJJ.

Boston Martial Arts Center: what do users think?
L AR: I have been training at Boston Martial Arts for more than 10 years. After trying a number of different martial arts and schools, I was thrilled to find a dojo that is inclusive and diverse, offers a fun and cooperative learning environment, and teaches a really engaging and interesting art. After having had a bad experience at another dojo I realized how important it is to have a teacher that I deeply respect and whom I could see myself learning from for a very long time, and Mr. Mark Davis is that for me.I trained here throughout my grad school years and return to train whenever I can even though I no longer live in the area because the school and the art have beclme an important part of my life.Highly recommend.
Aditi Agrawal: Positive:Professionalism,ValueExtremely good. An important component in my daily life . :)
Andrew Norton: Truly unique and amazing atmosphere. Although I am simply a beginner, I have trained in different martial arts systems in the past, and the Boston Martial Arts Center is by far the best school I have trained at. Our teacher, Mark Davis is perhaps the best individual I have studied under in any field. The entire staff are amazing ; welcoming, professional, fierce practitioners. This is 'Real Self Defense' and a fascinating system. As students we also benefit from being in a School that has direct connections to Mr. Stephen K. Hayes, and Hatsumi Sensei. Unbeatable!
Cyrus Bardouille: I liked the focus the classes and environment helped me to develop. Being able to channel my hyper activity into calming my spirit and building mind and body allowed me to grow.
No Name: I've been a student here for ten years. I've trained at other martial arts schools, and in other systems, and I have never found a more welcoming place, where the instructors are not only dedicated to giving their students the best training in self defense available, but also to helping their students better themselves through the martial arts. Mark Davis, the head teacher, keeps the atmosphere fun and family friendly, while also delivering the most serious treatment on the subject of getting home safely. This isn't a sport martial arts school; the training available here has only one purpose- to keep you safe. It has the added side effects of building confidence, agility, strength, and a sense of purpose. This school really brings out the best in people, and the people who train and teach here are the best in the world.
Joe Szep: Mark Davis is a highly knowledgable, friendly, and patient instructor. He is a rare source of accumulated knowledge and wisdom. You are encouraged to learn new skills and develop yourself. I have made many friends at the dojo. It feels like family to me there. Whether you are interested in learning self-defense or martial arts, you should come by, check out the dojo, and try a class!
Jennifer Kronmiller: great atmosphere.
Robert R.: Bad Atmosphere.

Boston Budo: what do users think?
Carla: Karate is for all people! No matter your age, your vocation, your avocation; if you’re male or female or even your state of health. To study Karate takes discipline; you need only to show up at class each week, the rest will take care of itself. In Karate, we smile, laugh, learn a lot, make friends, and feel like part of a group. In Karate class, we discover that it is critical to move your body, to feel like you are in your body, especially vis-a-vis its relationship with others. In Karate, we value integrity and equality. We respect and esteem all human and sentient beings. We treat our planet earth with reverence, awe and gratitude. You might be thinking, “Well, I’ve tried Karate before, but did not learn these kinds of things at all.” If this sounds like you, then clearly you have not studied with Sensei Noah Lucia!
Jessica Lem: Noah hosted a group event to facilitate his Savvy & Safe workshop for young girls growing up in the Boston community. The girls were engaged with the discussion and shared their own personal stories in regard to self-defense context. Noah was able to lead this workshop with self-defense knowledge and through story-telling that kept the girls engaged. The girls loved the self-defense techniques that Noah demonstrated and were able to practice it at the end of the workshop. Noah was great!
Gabriela Ortega: Best Karate in Greater Boston. Discipline, amazing experience with my kid :)They are the best.
Brian Murrihy: So glad to be a part of the Boston Budo community. Senseis Duane and Noah are excellent teachers in so many respects. Firstly, they have a great way about them to teach adults and children. To explain technique clearly, and encourage students to refine and better themselves. Secondly, the class not only helps with karate technique, but to mind-body balance, and for kids a little discipline in tasks they can do and recognize accomplishment such as folding a gi.May seem like little things but they all add up to form a solid foundation to build confidence, technique and mindfulness on. Boston Budo is awesome.
Eran Segev: Great classes, fun, attentive - two incredible Senseis! My son joined at after-school and it wasn’t long before I joined him for the weekend family classes. Three years in he still counts the days between classes, and I do the same. My 7-year old daughter now practices too. Senseis Noah and Duane run a tight ship, every class has structure yet no class has been the same. The result is sustained inspiration and learning not just karate moves, but meaning and self-awareness that go well beyond the dojo. I have several years of martial arts experience elsewhere, and I could not be happier with discovering Boston Budo and the richness of experience it provides our family.
Fran Perler: Sensei Noah Lucia is a fantastic karate instructor especially for us senior citizens. I’ve been taking his classes at the Brookline Senior Center all year. They are a great low impact, whole body workout combined with self defense strategies. He designs his classes to meet the needs of seniors and encourages seniors with all levels of physical abilities. Every senior center should have Noah teaching karate!
Farah Elhadidy: For the last few years, we’ve had the best experience at Boston Budo! Both Sensie Noah and Sensie Duane have been amazing teachers and mentors for my now 8 year old son. I appreciate the commitment, discipline and focus their practice instills in their teachings and students. They are both patient, detail oriented and inclusive; they have high expectations and demonstrate to their students the importance of always doing your best work at every stage of your journey. The tournaments they hold are wonderful for the students to showcase their work as well as a great opportunity to connect with the community. I highly recommend Boston Budo at any age!
Carol Piñeiro: I take 'Karate for Seniors' at the Brookline Senior Center, and Noah sensei is skillful at getting us to do warm-up exercises to enable flexibility and strength. He also teaches us katas that help promote balance and coordination and blocking moves that prepare us for self-defense. It's not only fun but it's also extremely useful for people of all ages.
Kerry Loughman: You don't have to be Bruce Lee to enjoy & benefit from the Senior karate class at the Brookline Senior Center. Noah Lucia Sensei is funny, knowledgeable and patient. Exercise are explained, demonstrated & adapted to people's abilities & needs. We learn to move with awareness & intention....and to keep on moving !
erica mugherini: I wanted to say how patience sensei Noah is with the kids, how he teaches them to focus and discipline them. My son learned a lot about the karate technique and culture, also grew socially and emotionally. Also, How clean the place is, organized and also fun.My kids look forward to every week. Thank you sensei Noah for inspiring my kids.
Dale Butler: Great to be learning this style of Karate, which is especially accessible to seniors.Noah's teaching skills & his patient approach make this art a valuable activity at Brookline Senior Center.
Thecla Tamulski: Senior Karate: Terrific class! Terrific teacher! Sensei Noah taught us to be confident. We learned basic karate stances and movements as well as some history of karate. I look forward to Sensei's class in the fall.
Brooks M.: Wow!!! Sensei Noah clearly has young kids of his own because he knows exactly how to handle all their energy. He provides a wonderful program and both my children have learned so much. We have done private lessons (which we loved) and the program at Hill House. Both are top notch. I highly recommend Boston Budo.
Masha Leuner: My son started with Boston Budo as part of an after school program in Brookline. Immediately he asked for a uniform and showed great interest in learning the karate forms. He participated in the Boston Budo tournament in December, won medals and was very dedicated to his practice. We are very grateful to Sensei Noah for his teaching and guidance. My son continues to thrive and study with Sensei Noah, having improved his strength, coordination and confidence. Highly recommend this program!
Grace Toledo-Kerr: Down to earth, cool, respectful, patient, and thorough instructor. Definitely recommend.
Sara Ascencio: As an early childhood educator and a colleague of Noah for now 3 years at the Florida Ruffin Ridley School in Brookline, I have seen how Noah brings good discipline through the art of karate to children ranging ages 5 through 14 years old. Both, children and teens hold utmost respect when entering the auditorium; where karate takes place. They greet Sensei at the beginning and at the end of class with a respectful bow. There is a real sense of value and dedication the way in which Noah teaches karate; a bond of trust is formed in a short period of time between his students and him.Noah’s passion is noticeable in his professional form of teaching karate to the younger generations. As much as he cares for the learning and success of the children, they quickly develop an understanding and great appreciation for this art.I have witnessed Kindergartners go from not wanting to attend the first couple of classes to a complete transformation in anticipating the next karate class. Many of the students have started out as Kindergarteners and are now middle schoolers or in higher grades who thrive on further developing their skills in this respectful art.I highly recommend enrolling your child or yourself in a karate class or other course with Noah. You will not be disappointed. He takes his craft serious as a true professional and the results really speak for themselves.-Sara Ascencio
Sol S: Been a student at Boston Budofor a few years now and love environment they provide there! Being a total beginner I was a bit apprehensive about joining being an adult with zero experience, but I'm so glad I joined. I leave every class having learned something new. Both Sensei Duane and Sensei Noah are wonderful attentive teachers. Highly recommended!
Katya Veber: It is an amazing place, and Noah is an incredible teacher. If you are thinking right now if this is the right place for you, definitely, register for classes now because the atmosphere is very friendly and supportive. I love both group and personal classes. Perhaps, I prefer personal a bit more since you have a full attention of the sensei. But group classes are awesome, too, since you have an opportunity to meet a lot of cool people.
Marcos Pineda: Noah at Boston Buddo is a great Sensei, very knowledgeable and incredibly committed to his students, My son has learn a lot from him.
Shelby Shaw: Sensei Noah's class is the highlight of my four-year-old daughter's week! Thank you, Sensei Noah, for teaching her confidence!
Sophie Powell: Noah and his father and Boston Buddo have done a world of wonders for my two boys 9 and 6 (and I know tens of parents who can attest the same). We have been doing group and private classes with Noah for nearly a year and karate with him is one of the best things we are doing for their physical and emotional well-being, and my kids LOVE it. Noah is an exceptionally talented, encouraging and dedicated teacher. As the father of two young girls, married to a lovely Japanese woman, and experience as an English teacher in Japan, Noah brings a wealth of experience to his teaching and practice. I am astounded how he captivates the kids' attention, makes them listen attentively, gets them to perform amazing sequences, all the while making it super fun for them. He is acutely attuned to the different personalities of his students and encourages/coaches them accordingly, taking every kid to the next level. Every kid should learn karate with Noah - he sharpens their attention/focus (so essential in this day and age of addictive myriad screens), pushes them in a nurturing way, and develops their body awareness and strength/balance. And the tournaments are super fun for the kids - they help build community and EVERY kid comes home with a medal. Noah is for the beginner and extremely experienced karate student. Cannot recommend more highly!

Combat Sports Boston: what do users think?
Danny DiGiacomo: Best martial arts gym I’ve ever been a part of. Excellent facilities, equipment, classes, and atmosphere; the best part of this gym, however, is the coaching staff. Their experience & knowledge combined with their attentiveness to the students is what makes this gym special.
Iain Kehoe: Started here Dec 2022. I'm glad I did. If you want to train muay thai or bjj in Boston this is the place to go.
Brian Cutts: Got to come by to drop off flyers for American Grappling Federation, while I was in the gym CSU’s staff made me feel at home and helped me answer any questions about their programs.
Noah Lucia: Coming from a traditional martial arts background, I was excited to hear Wu Tang blasting when I showed up!!! I came in for a trial session, a sparring night. Great mix of levels. Great muy thai teacher. Great vibe.
Ralph Spetalnick: Great gym, friendly atmosphere, lots of classes
Zach Marcoulier: Friendly and inclusive gym with great instructors. Great for all ages and skill levels.
Andrew Seid: If you want to start training jiu jitsu in a fun atmosphere this is your gym. You get out what you put in so whether you’re trying to build muscle, burn fat, or be the next polarizing black belt this is where you make that happen.
Fabio Lima: Best community I've ever been part of. Friendly helpful amazing people. I've been part of this gym for about 6 years and no other gym can compare.
Cris Schayer: I came into this gym November 2018 and it's become a second home. I've never met such patient, motivating, and passionate coaches.A little background about me: I came from another gym I wont mention, where the atmosphere was very toxic and unwelcoming towards female. The type of mentality that unless you were doing cardio, get out of the way of the weight lifting gym bros.Coming from this background, I was super nervous to go to a new gym, especially one that focused on Combat. My very first visit, Mat, one of the Muay Thai instructors was very welcoming and extremely patient. I've been hooked ever since, and now take both the Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. As a female, the instructors' number one priority is to make us feel welcomed and anything otherwise is never tolerated. Not only are the instructors amazing, but the members here are also awesome! They've become family to me. No male has ever made me uncomfortable in Muay Thai or Jiu Jitsu.Monday's Evening Women's Muay Thai class with Kru James is such an awesome, welcoming group, that really pushes me physically. I NEVER want to miss a class! Tuesdays 6:00-7:00 Muay Thai Fundamental class is great refresher of the basics and its always exciting to see new people attend.A new awesome addition is Sunday's Women Open Mat. As a female new to jiu jitsu, this has been an awesome class that pushes me and gets me more and more comfortable rolling around with other sweaty people. Another bonus is meeting some amazing, savage women that train from other gyms. Sunday and Mondays have become my women's gathering. The gym also offers a wide arrange of weight training equipment, cardio machines and classes are offered in the morning, afternoon and evenings, to fit every schedule. To put it simply: I LOVE THIS PLACE
JERRY REVICH: Fantastic gym, training, and workout. Highly recommended for all levels. Thanks guys
Miguel Angel Bello: This gym is out of the standards(BJJ, MMA, Muay Thai). Excellent professors and students as well. Everybody here do their best to help each other. Try it once and I am pretty sure you will stay!!
Omar Qusrawi: Absolutely the best gym in Boston. You will be coming to the right place no matter what kind of training you are aiming for, be it competitive or just casual. Two years later, I have followed the competitors path and have been nurtured. The coaching staff is absolutely fantastic you will get world class training here, they pick up on your flaws promptly, and they make you feel welcome and at home very quickly. They are all extremely qualified having competed professionally at certain times in their lives. The people who come here are also spectacular, very helpful and kind, no malicious intent while sparring. Easily the best gym in Boston. On top of that, the gym is like a family, the environment fostered is very much a home. You can't go wrong here.
jideofor ojukwu: You cant go wrong coming to this gym, as it will leave a lasting impression on you. The atmosphere, teachers, and students are all great factors of this gym. There are people always willing to work with you and help you out, so there is never the feeling of being left out. You will learn a lot from the teachers who always go out their to help you perfect your technique, which can later be used in competitions or real world situations. Overall the sense of family is strong here, so if you got the time come and check this gym out.
Erik N: This is a very good gym with excellent coaches and excellent classes. All of the instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful to beginners and more experienced competitors alike. The rates are very reasonable and they allow you to pay by the class if you want. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Boston Seirenkai Academy: what do users think?
Sergio Pina: I have known and trained with Sensei Greenberg for many years. He is not only a passionate and skilled instructor but a man of impeccable character with a heart to serve others. I would highly recommend you try this dojo and the art of Seirenkai.
Forrest Ash: Karate is challenging but rewarding. You are pushed hard to reach your full potential. This class is like a family and open to all. It is very affordable. I ask a lot of questions but they are happy to answer. They're youthful gogetters so I can relate to them.
Tiffany Chan: I have coordination of a newborn deer and the flexibility of uncooked spaghetti. I fought real bad, but now after Boston Seirenkai I fight real okay now! XD
Junaid Syed: I've been a student here for about a year and a half, I figured that's a long enough time to be able to give a review.Taking classes with Boston Seirenkai has been a great experience and some of the most fun I've had. Everyone here is friendly and the overall environment is very positive and encouraging without being too easy. Being part of this dojo truly feels like being part of a family.Sensei Greenberg is an excellent instructor (it probably helps that he's a teacher in his day job). He's very good about giving personal attention and helping students improve on their individual weaknesses. I've definitely grown quite a bit as a student here, and it's honestly embarrassing when I look at videos of when I first started out.One of my favorite parts is attending the karate seminars/retreats. The International Seirenkai Organization will host a full day of martial arts classes where you learn new techniques, gain weapons handling experience, and learn to think outside the box when defending yourself. The best part is being able to work with and learn from dozens of black belts that fly in from around the world. It's immediately humbling when you see just how skilled these people are, but also exciting to think that could be you one day.
