Andrea C: Dr Murphy is incredible. I had both hips replaced and my recovery both times was a piece-of-cake. I am so grateful to be out of pain and able to live life fully again, and I can't believe how quickly I recovered.I did opt for the minimally-invasive procedure, and it was totally worth it.I highly recommend him for your hip replacement, and I would go to him if I ever need my knee replaced.

Leslie Rawe: He did my THR 5 years ago, age fit 50. I paid $2000 extra for computer guided surgery to make it perfect. Leg came out 3/8 inch longer but he won't admit it or say why. I've had years of pain with IT band as a result and premature wear of other hip. Another doctor did my second hip and said first one was done badly.

Janet Long: Dr. Murphy is a genious and a fabulous surgeon. The replacement feels like a regular leg, without pain and I have no restrictions physically. Additionally, the post op pain was very minimal and was controlled with Celebrex and Tylenol. He is the only surgeon that I would recommend for hip replacement. The gratitude and praise that I have for Dr. Murphy is beyond measure.
lori seavey: Dr. Murphy is honestly the best! I saw other surgeons before I went to him. I was in so much pain and needed my hip replaced. I was 43 and everyone else wanted me to wait until I was 50. I could not imagine living 7 more years in this pain and missing out on so much of my kids lives. I had the surgery on a Tuesday and went home Wednesday. I was back at work 10 days later. I did have a few months of physical therapy but all the pain was gone! I know of other people that have replacements and have a lot of issues. It's been 3 years and I have no complaints!

Joseph Speranza: Dr Silisky replaced my right knee in Dec 2019. It took about a year for it to feel 100%. Its now as good as new. Kudos to Dr Siliski. I am going to have the left knee done at the end of the year.
Laura Coffey: Dr. Siliski replaced my left knee on December 17, 1996. Due to my age at the time 46, no orthopedic surgeon would replace it. Dr.Siliski did and it has been 24 years and my left knee is going strong. As he had told me in 1996, I would eventually have to have my right knee done. I did in 2019 by a surgeon in Ky. I will never be able to thank him enough!
Drew Martins: John Siliski is a very nice guy and the facility is top notch as well. Unfortunately I went there for a lingering knee problem and he only offered the same options I've been offered before even though I got no results the previous time.The shot administered to my IT band made the issue much worse than it was before and now even cycling hurts it. I wish there was a doctor out there who could figure out the problem

Rich Baker: The one star is for Kiera at the reception desk. Be very careful with her ability to twist words and violates the hippa act. Very unprofessional and then wants to get accusatory after you mention your hippa rights were violated. Also tried to state nobody was in the waiting room. As I point to the person behind me. As for the medical services, Dr. Ward is exceptionally awesome at his craft. I would give him 10 out of 10 stars.

She performed a steroid injection to ease my pain and I didn’t even feel it. I left with a solid plan in place and PT referral in hand. Jamie Mack: I wish the doc treated me like a patient and not just a test subject.Dr. Ayesha Abdeen, MD Orthopaedic Surgeon,Chief, Division of Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, Boston Medical Center treated me like dirt for a whole 5 minutes today Dr. Abdeen demanded I tell her what part of my left hip was experiencing pain. I explained to her that it is not painful but some kind of unusual sensation with muscle weakness and tightness after walking or sitting for sometime.Dr. Abdeen sat down at her computer and said you have tightness which I can not repair. You can purchase or I can give you a script for some anti inflammatory gel and a script for physical therapy. I told here that pt knows my muscles are tight. I was evaluated last week. She said laser no need for a follow up. Wasted my time energy and effort.

Niquie G: I had a spinal fusion a few years ago. All was well . I then developed an subsequent issue. Does not seem as though my surgeon, who I liked, or his PA take my pain or that issues seriously. I was told to go to PT & take OTC pn meds even though I've already done both and have been dealing with this for a while now. I was given no follow up appointment after my last visit. The problem is getting increasingly worse. Plus I a can barely walk.I am going to a specialist tomorrow for a second opinion & potential surgery at New England Baptist Sports Medicine. And Yes! They are open on Saturdays.11/15/18 Follow UpI was seen at NE Baptist because a developed a condition called drop foot subsequent to spinal fusion surgery at BMC. The BMC doctors surgeons did not want to acknowledge their error. I saw Dr Kenneth Leavitt @ NE Baptist who confirmed I had partial paralysis due to my previous surgery but assured me he could fix it. I had surgery on 07/12/18 and even though I was still in a cast, I felt strength that I did not have before two week after. Recovery is a long process. Cast for 6-8 wks, currently in a boot and starting PT this Saturday. I will able to walk and wear my heels again by summer of 2019. :)I do not recommend BMC ortho for back surgery! They will not help with complications following surgery@!

Yo tengo dolor hasta para sentarme en a comer es un dolor tan intenso que me esta matando dia a dia y lo que me dijeron fue que si qeria la cita que la tomara y si no pues que yo decidiera! Se nota que a ellos no les importan los pacientes. No se ni que hacer porq en emergencias solo me dicen que espere que tengo que ver al doctor indicado. Pero si algo me llega a pasar en boston medical center van a ser los responsables.

susan wisnewski: I have to say I was a bit disappointed in my appointment. I had made the appt. with Dr. Kwon to evaluate my spine. I was never informed I would not actually see Dr. Kwon at my appointment. I saw his PA who spoke to Dr. Kwon about my concerns. I just thought the Dr. himself should have come in and introduced himself. The PA also said if I develop a need to be seen again I should tell the office to make the appt. with Dr. Kwon and if they give me a hard time have them contact the PA. This concerns me, this leaves me with the feeling to look elsewhere for spine treatment. I see other physicians in this office who I have been extremely happy with which is why I opted to see Dr. Kwon.

Michael Galbato: I saw Dr. Kwon in January 2021 for a disc injury. He was very personable and had great bed side manners. He would thoroughly explain my injury and guide me through my MRI images.He was also very transparent about the various options for addressing the injury. He would explain that “if I put this in a room of colleges at a conference, 1/3 would say X, 1/3 would say Y, etc” and gave reasoning behind each. This gave me a lot of clarity and confidence in the decision to do conservative treatment. He gave practical takeaways on how to manage the injury and a PT referral.Almost a year later, I’m happy with his conclusion to treat conservatively.
Joseph Musser: Poorly managed office. Had an initial consult in December 2020. Was instructed to follow up if cortisone injection was not effective. Called in May 2021 to schedule surgery consult after re-injury. Called, emailed, and Instant Messaged, for weeks and left numerous messages with their answering service and a receptionist who was covering for the original receptionist now on medical leave for 6+ weeks. Finally get a return call in mid July 2021 and appointment scheduled for 9AM. I arrive at NE Baptist Hospital, and was given poor instructions by receiving staff as to the 4th floor location of his office. I find another doctor kind enough to explain and take me to Dr. Kwon's office. It's now 9:10am an I go to check-in for my appointment, where I am told that he is unable to see me because I am too late. Prime example of yet another poorly run doctor's office. Definitely *DO NOT* & *WILL NOT* recommend this practice to friends/family/colleagues and will tell them to steer clear of this office. Will also be remitting an invoice for wasting over 10 hours of my time.
Michael DeMarco: Dr Kwon is an exceptional surgeon and Dr. He performed an ACDF surgery on my C5-C6 area about a month ago. I saw 4 surgeons in total for this as I was nervous and unsure about the procedure. Dr Kwon set himself apart for several reasons. The first is that he spent over an hour with me during our initial consult. He was very patient as I have anxiety and asked a lot of questions. He went through every single issue I had, why we needed to do surgery, went over all the MRI images, and ultimately just made me comfortable. As a business person, I treat every one of my clients like they are part of my family. They are not treated as a number and that is exactly how Dr Kwon makes you feel when you are treated by him. He performed the surgery perfectly, I had very little pain or stiffness after. I was in and out of the facility in 5 hours total. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Kwon for any spine or neck related problems. He is a true master of his craft. He is smart, down to earth, and truly caring.

M B: I met with 3 different spine/nerve specialists trying to get help with a herniated cervical disc. Dr. Kevin Hwang in Mass General Orthopaedics and Dr. Palmer in Interventional Radiology were nice, but in terms of the most important thing--RESULTS--I got nothing from any of them. I paid A LOT for 1 consultation with Dr. Hwang and a cervical steroid injection from Dr. Palmer that did nothing for me. I couldn't even get a response from Dr. Hwang in follow-up messages via the patient portal. I felt like I'd been scammed. In the end, I found a good chiropractor and physical therapist team and am now ~80% recovered after 2 months without the injections or surgery the specialists all recommended.
Vincent Prezioso: Customer Service here is very short and blunt, they just don't care at all to help a customer beyond a sale. I just called nicely to ask about a pair of sneakers I purchased in June/July and the guy on the phone was quick, short and could care less. So I am out a pair of Hoka sneakers but the store just lost a customer and I will make sure people know how they treat their customers. Absolutely horrible, Mass General should be ashamed to have their name associated with the store.
C B: Surgery was scheduled for Oct. 4; I asked to be placed on the wait list. On August 24, a cancellation allowed me to move surgery to Sept. 1. On Aug 29, that was cancelled and I was moved to Sept. 8. I checked with my insurance company on Sept. 6 if the request for authorization was approved and was told that no request had been made. After notifying the person in charge, a request was sent in but not marked urgent. The decision date given for authorization is Oct. 5. I would also think that the date of surgery must be included on this request, but the insurance company has its rules. And, get this, I was told by person in my doctor's office the Mass General would be responsible for paying for surgery if approval was not gotten in time. Lol. Rarely can I reach a person by phone in my doctor's office in a timely manner, if at all. It is Sept 7 and nothing. Can't get anyone by phone to follow through. Insurance company advised me to postpone. This does not just involve me, but other members in my family to transport me and stay with me. All the prep has to be repeated. Not acceptable. I am sure the doctor knows nothing about what is going on. I would give him 5 stars.
Jeanne Darling: Surgeon is knowledgeable and competent. PA and some Admins, however are not. Had extensive ankle surgery. Four months later, I injured that foot. I am concerned that I may have done something to one of the repairs. I cannot get an appointment with the surgeon. He is booked and not taking on new appointments. Offered an appointment with the PA, who, in my opinion, is incompetent. So now, I have to find another foot and ankle specialist to evaluate my current situation. This is unbelievable, especially from one of the highest rated hospitals in the country. Unfortunately, I am finding this problem in other departments, too. There are some doctors/departments that I wouldn't trade for anything, but they are not in the majority.
Matthew Kirwin: “I’m having a having a hard time walking and Urgent Care recommended I follow-up with you for a possible cortisone injection.”“How does xxx (5 weeks out) look?”“Ma’am, everyday it’s more and more difficult to walk. I spent yesterday in bed because I couldn’t walk.”“Hmm.. I might be able to get you in in eight days, but I’ll have to check to see if the practitioner can fit you in.”Sadly, this is typical of my MGH experiences.
Randy Tompkins: 2 hour wait, didn't ask for my ID or med list that was requested. Was referred by Dr. Rodrigue of Falmouth orthopedics in Maine. I'll try to loose the weight as requested, but as a disabled person who is sedentary hard to excercise, and was hoping this surgery would help, and accepted of it. Came all the way from Brewer Maine by bus, which is hard on the hips. Just seemed like never read my chart, case history, or knew anything about me. Did take my BP though.Very disappointed came there for help.
Niquie G: Awesome experience! I've been dealing with a knee issue for years saw a surgeon at BMC that I like but had to switch doctor due to an insurance change. I currently work at another major hospital here in Boston that I wouldn't take my goldfish to because the ortho her did a horrible job to 2 relatives of mines.The person I saw at MGH took her time listened and gave me a treat plan. That alone means so much to a patient. I will update once my treatment has run its course. I'm sure I'll be adding another star!

David Mollica: Could not have had a better experience- From the first appointment/diagnosis my issue was thoroughly explained and results from surgery (Achilles tendon) were excellent. Everything about my experience with Dr. Theodore and his staff was outstanding- I would highly recommend him.UPDATE: after struggling with and Achilles issue for nearly 8 years I assumed even after surgery I would have some discomfort or tightness- I have none. All pain is gone and my repaired Achilles is no different than the other one. Could not be more satisfied with Dr. Theodore and his team.
Jason Curtin: Superb doctor and team who helped me through two broken ankles, one of which involved surgery. I'm back doing all my physical activities again and grateful for their care. I'd encourage anyone with an ankle or foot injury to get it looked at. I'd probably be limping if I hadn't sought medical care.
Becky Rovinelli: Absolutely the only surgeon I would go to for an Achilles tendon complete tear. He and his whole staff PA Kayla and Office Administrator Clancy were helpful though out my whole process. They are professional make it so you can actually get back to the life you once had.
Chris Crowe: Dr Theodore and PA Kayla were outstanding after my Jones Fracture surgery in January cause i was afraid that i would never walk again and now after surgery i am stronger then ever thanks to Dr Theodore and PA Kayla doing such great work on me.
Su: Dr.Theodore is an amazing surgeon. He is very knowledgeable, professional and prioritize on patients needs when finding the right solution. I never got a second opinion because I had absolutely no doubt he will provide the best treatment I could ever ask. The staff members who work with him are also fantastic. I am very very lucky to be treated by Dr.Theodore.
Amanda Cook: Can’t say enough positives about Dr. Theodore and his PA Kayla. I had a fall in August and they saw me quickly and came up with a surgical plan. They were both exceptional with care and follow ups. Cannot recommend enough!

I appreciated their conservative approach to recovery. Would highly recommend for foot injuries. I had a broken 5th metatarsal and was put in a boot for 4 months and was able to run again after 5 months.

Kevin Wilson: Dr Theodore is the best foot specialist in the world . He did a remarkable job with my ankle , he cares about his patients. He got me in as soon as possible to repair my torn ligaments in my ankle during the covid pandemic. Phenomenal staff as well, very polite and professional.
Brandon Kraemer: I really can't say enough about my experience with him and his staff. I tore my Achilles and had seen another doctor before meeting Dr. Theodore. The previous doctor walked in squeezed my leg and said yup torn surgery in 2 weeks with no MRI. Then he left the room. I met with Dr. Theodore the next day and he spent 45 minutes reviewing everything with me explaining what I had done, what was going to happen next, that he was the surgeon, and what my future was going to be like. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable I was so relieved after speaking with him he made this whole process the best it could have been, I am so thankful and lucky to have had him.

Ed Hawk: I’ve suffered with flat feet my entire life, my earth and quality of life was in poor condition until I decided to see Doctor Theodore. The more I discussed my surgical options with him the more confident I became about the surgery. I have had extensive surgery on my right foot and ankle tendon surgery on my right and everything he discussed with me went as planned from planning for surgery and in recovery. The medical staff and assistant Kayla are very professional. I found myself to be very relaxed the day of the surgery because I felt very confident I was in very good hands. The morning of the surgery Dr Theodore was there with me to go through the procedure until the time I was in recovery. I really cannot thank them enough, I know it’s their job and it’s what they do but hey went above and beyond.
