They have lots of cool beads and a variety of styles. It's not cheap, but it's also not outrageous, so if you are into jewelry-making, and are looking for unique items to use, you'll enjoy this place. I have also only had positive experiences with the customer service too, so I'm not sure what the other reviewers are referring to, but the woman I always see there has always been very helpful and friendly! I love this place! I did show up once and they were closed during regular hours so I would recommend calling first if you're schlepping out from far away!

Caryn Uebelacker: at first I was excited to find the shop. Great area, looked clean and spacious for a small space. Two women in store were wearing masks, so I asked if I needed one and they said no. Not quite sure if they both worked there, or if one was a customer. At any rate, I was in there for at least another ten minutes with no words said to me, and no eye contact AT ALL. I started to think I should see how long it takes for the staff member to notice me, and decided I didn't want to wait any longer. BIG mistake on their part, because I am a paying customer and left (and found another store not too far away).I know customer service folks get a bad rap these days and I hesitated before posting this. I don't want to be the one who complains, but then again I don't know who was working this afternoon. If this was the owner, shame on you. If it's someone else, then the owner needs to address this.

Annie, the owner, is fabulous - incredibly knowledgeable and patient with beginners like me. I am so grateful for her help getting me over the hump with several projects. I stop in to shop here—and to soak up some of Annie’s advice—as often as I can!

Nicole Smith: Lovely small local yarn store that is packed full of delightful yarn any knitter would love to explore.I went in looking for yarn to complete a comissioned sweater and the staff member suggested I use two strands of sock yarn held together to tie in the colors of the sweater and get the correct thickness of yarn - brilliant! And they did have the perfect yarn, Painted Sock in Samoa Sunset and Golden Gate.

Karen Wickert: Lovely local yarn shop! I've been here a few times, and each time I've gotten personal help from them to pick out just what I need. They have high quality knitting needles and yarns of all kinds.

Rachel E: Very pricey for small skeins of yarn. The yarn I was looking for should have been about $7-9/skein so I can finish my afghan. I did get one more but the price was $32 per skein so I found it on eBay for $10 with free shipping so obviously I will not be going there any more. The quality is good and pretty organized. The woman who work there are helpful and nice. I wish I asked them why the price hike but I did not. It’s definitely upscale. If you have money to throw away then I would definitely spend it here!!!

Nanette B. Higley: When I went in this afternoon the staff were friendly, offered help that I declined as I was just browsing. Ended up spending over $100 and yet the young woman behind the counter did not say “thank you.” It’s one of the basics of retail, especially in a small shop.

Giulia Cox: Such a nice shop! Wide inventory, helpful staff, some unusual and delicious product, including high end non-woolen fiber. Lots of cool finished items. Wide selection of notions. My three non-knitters were welcomed in most welcomingly, and they taught my husband to use the swift and ball winder! Will certainly go back.

Rowan Johnson: Store is catered to people too inexperienced to realize they’re overpaying for basically everything in the store, especially patterned quilt fabric and yarn. Paltry selection of patterns of any kind. Classes are not worth the money if you aren’t a beginner. Owner still requiring everyone to wear masks in 2023. Decent if you need one or two small things and you’re in the area or want to window shop for inspiration but not a place to buy a quilt top’s or sweater’s worth of supplies.

What a cool shop with caring, talented team Ave amazing fun tools and all-natural fibers that appeal to all crafty characters. I am amazed I didn’t walk out with more fun projects to try, there’s just too many cool things to choose from.

Molly Ruggles: A wonderful store, great staff, excellent selection, a very nice addition to Inman Square. As noted by others, the pricing is quite steep. But perhaps that is what's necessary to support small businesses.

Kayla Caulfield: I stopped by gather here today for the second time (first time was this past August). I came by today to pick up specific items for an introductory knitting class that I will be taking next January at Cambridge Center for Adult Education. I was not at all familiar with the items that were on the class materials list and a gather here employee was incredibly helpful in helping me find the items as well as described them to a beginner like myself. The other employees I interacted with were kind as well.There's so much to look at in there- they not only have individual materials but also have starter kits for various types of fiber projects.They have completed projects on display such as tote bags, and as I was looking at them, I thought to myself- I want to make that! I hope to score a spot in a sewing class soon (which I've heard go quickly). They're a fantastic small business to support.

Brian Twitchell: Lots of small kits for beginners. Yarn and fabric and some craft supply tools. There was even a class or gathering for embroidery or something when I went recently. They have a rewards program, helpful staff, and require masks to help support their community's safety.

StarSixSeven: Wonderful little haberdashery. They don’t have all of the ancillary tools you may need but what they do have is leaps and bounds better than your typical chain store

There’s so much we don’t know about the long term effects of covid, but we already know that masking can help vulnerable members of our community stay safe. I’m so glad to see one of my favorite places taking a stand and saying that vulnerable people are worth protecting and the pandemic isn’t over!!

Joannie C: Great Experienced Staff ! Lots of choices!I am a novice knitter. Robin was able to assist me in picking out materials to make a hat. She answered all my questions and even demonstrated a knitting tip for joining in the round. Top notch shop!Also Carries a small selection of fabric. An active beginner sewing class was taking place while I was in there. Being a sewer, I took some time to watch. The instructor was patient and had a great way in directing the students. It was all hands on!

I walked into the cozy, colorful store to find a group of knitters working on their projects in their central table. I was promptly greeted by the one of the lovely ladies working there and, after walking around looking at the beautiful yarn and chatting with her, I felt completely at home and I'm already looking at the schedules to sign up for a series of knitting classes.
