Boston Latin Academy: what do users think?
Marion Phill: It’s a good school. They push you to do your work, and if you don’t try, you grades will definitely reflect that. They have lots of sports and events. The only thing I’m starting to notice as a new student is that amongst all the students, you have to be white with blonde hair, and a extrovert just to be popular or have a lot of friends. Some teachers even treat kids different just because if there skin color. It doesn’t happen very often but I definitely see it.
John Queer: I get bullied for my last name but other than that I love it. My best friend Devon Neil(they/them) gets me through the day.
Mariah Tinnin: love this place!!!
Hugh Yamashiro: I’ll give you 5 stars if you move the graduation to Monday June 8, 2021
ΠšΠ΅Ρ„ΠΈΡ€Ρ‡Π°Ρ‚Ρ‹ΠΉ ΠšΠ΅Ρ„ΠΈΡ€: Всё ΠΎΡ‚Π»ΠΈΡ‡Π½ΠΎ
che ruddock: No one pushed me I hate it :(
Tarvy2K: Good
Ash: It’s okay but the HW really ain’t like ITS TOOOO MUCHHHH
deena douai: please don't go here
Khymani James: Boston Latin Academy is known for their rigorous academics and their strive for excellence in all students. However, the atmosphere due to the makeup of the student body, can be very toxic at times due to adolescents incapability of understanding, and accepting one another. I believe there is hope for BLA's improving in atmosphere and mood. But it begins with honesty, generosity, and respect. And most of the teachers there teach wonderfully, however it is my personal opinion (me being a student) that certain teachers should be revised by administration for their teaching methods, tone towards students, and the overall energy they possess and express throughout the school day.
Sasha L: Escape while you can, just run
amalia mireles-shorr: only bad experience i had was when cameron rice when he stole my favortie pecil. I yelled so loud but mr norton told me i couldn't go home yet since my sister still had strep throat. On another note I met my besties there and the school enviorment is amazing!! I suggest it but dont cross paths with Cameron !!!
cwazie: It's free real estate
Lance McClain: suck my toe you crusty baby
Ashley: Disgusting, harsh, and lastly horrifying.
Kevin Vo: B.L.A is a great school but there are some horrible classes with horrible teachers. In Room 211 the Latin teacher is very rude and yell constantly at the students even if they don't do anything wrong. For example i have a hard time paying attention and a little difficulty listening i ask her what did she says and, you know what she says more like yell but she said WERE YOU LISTENING. I'm like i hate you so much woman. Now on to my next complaint of room 301 and its teacher, i had a advisory there so i'm talking to my friend quietly like nope one is bothered by it probably couldn't hear us and she says your talking to much and i'm like in my head but why do you care and like i had work to do i was doing it while talking and she moved me to another table and i was all alone like really did our conversation bother you that much. So After i did my math homework i went to the table i originally was at asked a different friend to see if my homework was right and we had a test on Friday that had this on it and you know what she said you didn't EARN THE RIGHT TO DO THAT, I'm like really. So guess how i did on my math test i got a god dang 63 a freaking 63, hmm i wonder why. If there wasn't some of these horrible teachers i would do 4/5 in the end i just dabbed on them haters and there are also a lot of memes. So if you get into B.L.A and go to the 8th grade don't hope to get in any of these classes if you do god bless you.
1ash1 ally1: I've gone there for a couple days now, it more work then before but I love it! The teachers I got were very nice.
Kenny Castro: It's dank

BLS (Boston Latin School): what do users think?
haboston-G: This is the best high school in Boston city.
Melchisedec Pelizer: When I get married and have kids, I will sure send them to study at this school. Knowledge of the Classics and Hebrew spirituality are the backbones to have a virtuous life and mind !
cwazie: fabulous school, I'll guarantee you'll totally survive the 6 years you'll spend here
Simon Amaya Price: This is a school for the emotionless and robotic. I recommend that someone who is prepared to go through trauma go to this school. Benjamin Franklin, one of the most famous students dropped out for a reason. Their educational philosophy, if they have one is: "It was good enough for your grandfather, so shut up." Their orchestra program is the only good thing about the school.
TY L: Fantastic environment, staffs, and student body. Deserves the best.
Kenneth Mui (King Mui): It's a good school.
L M: Not a big fan of this school, when I went here afterschool, I was abused by Bill Nguyen and didn't leave BLS until the next day. I was so scared... send help! SOS O_O
Pangarcher: Go here and its like a little bit overcrowded and their extra classes like music and art seem useless and the money going there should be put in other important classes
Jose Flores: Muy buena escuela para los estudiantes que van para es test de ISEE aqui es
The game Deaf jerry: great
Mitch Soivenski: Class of '67. Wonderful school, wonderful experiences. Wish it were 1961 again.
Brendan Williamson: Worst experience of entire life. Never again.
Abigail Abigail: I go here on saurday for H and H heandle and hydenπŸ˜€go there its a blast.
Oscar vega Jerry ashline: Graduated 1975. Pretty good experience.
Zen Holland: Great life experience. 1635!
Petrushka: It is a okay school

Live Lingua: what do users think?
Erin G: I started about a month ago and bought the unlimited classes for a year. I have two teachers, and I have no problem scheduling as many hours as I want per week. The instructors and the administration are VERY responsive and punctual. They also fit you with instructors who have a specialty in what your goals are. I recommend this school to anyone who wants to advance their spanish.
Bridgette Holley: I had a wonderful experience using Live Lengua to brush up on Spanish I learned in high school and college. Having had the experience of studying abroad, I can attest that immersion is the best way to learn a language and Live Lengua is the next best thing. I greatly appreciated my wonderful tutor, customer service, and the easy to use scheduling platform.
Shannon Dell: I'm absolutely loving my Spanish lessons with Live Lingua! For someone who travels full time, I was worried about how I would manage to stay on top of my Spanish learning. But with the flexibility of classes, taking lessons has been super convenient. While language apps can be nice, being able to learn with a real teacher has worlds of benefits. I feel that immersion really is the best way to learn a language, and it's so cool that Live Lingua brings the immersive lessons to you, whenever and wherever!

Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Boston: what do users think?
Regiane Ventouris: I couldn’t be happier about joining Boston Studio last year. At Arthur Murray, I have the opportunity to get a formal education and get out of my comfort zone by learning new dances such as foxtrot and waltz which were completely new to me. I would like to thank my instructor Gary, for being so patient, pushing me, teaching me discipline, challenging me, and even for saying NO when I want to change the music or the choreography at the last minute! Gary, you are a wonderful dancer and instructor and I am so proud to learn with you!I would like to thank Harrison for making me feel so safe and confident on the dance floor. It is a pleasure to dance any rhythm with you. I wish I could have dance lessons with you and Gary at least five times a week!!!
Niel johnson: We took the plunge earlier in the year and have enjoyed ourself so much that we signed up again for further classes. All of the staff are very friendly and so willing to help and have a joke with
Kate Evans: So you think you can't dance? Oh yeah, you can with this crew. Top shelf instructors who are committed, patient, and fun! Bjorn is my instructor, but all the instructors are great. The Boston studio vibe is inclusive and cool. Fellow students support each other. It's such a happy and no pressure place to be after a tough day at work. I can't wait to get here at the end of the day. Energy is next level. Six months ago I moved with the grace of a robot. This weekend, I cha cha cha-ed at an Afro Cuban concert with friends who were learning how to dance before they could walk - and I held my own. To be able to move like that and be comfortable doing it - having the confidence to do it - is incredible - and worth the hard work you put into it. Thank you to Bjorn and the entire staff and my fellow students for making the decision to do this one of the best things I've ever done for myself. See you on the dance floor! :-)
Dolly Lakkis: Can't say enough about my two teachers.Harrison and Kathryn are the most patient as well as talented teachers ever.Being 12 years at AM u can easily say that all the teachers are fabulous but my soft spot is for my duo.
Emily Goslin: Arthur Murray is my happy place!! All of the instructors are rock stars. This is THE place to dance and be yourself. ❀️
Katherine Rich: We have loved our lessons at Arthur Murray! Grady has been a fantastic instructor - teaching us both basic ballroom steps and coming up with choreography. And, the whole team is always incredibly friendly!
Sam Hoffman: My fiancΓ© and I learned our first dance for our wedding at Arthur Murray Boston this year. We were so lucky to have had Grady as our instructor, as he was the best teacher we could ever have asked for - patient, thoughtful, and encouraging. Though we didn't have any dance experience before our lessons, we ended feeling much more at ease on the dance floor. Highly recommend this studio!
Debra Hammond: Dance lessons were a Christmas gift and we started them on our anniversary. It began as a date night. Then came the father-daughter dance for our daughter’s wedding, and a reprise of Color My World on our 40th anniversary. The instructors are great, very supportive and tuned in to your needs. It’s a warm environment and a place to make new friends.
Noriko Miyakoda: If you want to become a more confident dancer, I am telling you it's a MUST to go to Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Boston!! They will help you learn the basic dance steps and take it step by step to a new level. I highly recommend contacting them. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish, in dance, by diligently working with an instructor or with multiple instructors (I suggest working with multiple because each instructor sheds new information on a dance).
Ioana Preston: Here I am going on to my 6th year as a student at AM Boston! Unbelievable journey, amazing experience! The instructors and students there, we are a family, a wonderful community that share the love for dance. Dancing, taking lessons, learning new techniques, preparing routines and solos, competing, it is all now an important part of my life. When you dance, you touch the stars!
Stephen Gildert: Fantastic, friendly dance school. Very welcoming of dancers of all abilities. Structured dance programmes help you track progress. Lots of activities too. Dance teachers are all excellent. Big shout out to Sami who has guided our progress so well
Sriram Emani: I wasn't sure what to expect when I first started, but 3 years later I'm going strong and training in 10 styles of dancing. The quality of instruction is top notch, personalized and encouraging. Being able to dance regularly at community events and showcases keeps you on your toes and ensures you aren't pushing it off to later like we tend to do with hobbies. Couldn't have asked for a more supportive community that celebrates each step and milestone. I highly recommend joining the Arthur Murray Boston studio to learn that you can be a fabulous dancer and have a great time doing it!
Josh Ahadian: The staff are extremely knowledgable and personable. The variety of dances I am able to learn from experts one-on-one and the ability to practice in group classes and party settings provides a nice variety. I only wish it didn't cost as much as it does, but they offer many different payment plans to fit your budget.
Amanda Marr: We had a wonderful experience with our instructor Olivia. She took our concerns as newbies into consideration and was able to help us achieve exactly what we were looking for: natural, not stiff, not over-choreographed first wedding dance. She helped us give a basic structure to the dance and lots of helpful suggestions and tips/tricks. We even had enough time to squeeze in some mother/son and father/daughter lessons into our package as well. We enjoyed each lesson and her personality and professionalism put us at ease.
Andrew Yellis: The Situation:We were getting married in six weeks. My fiancee was a ballerina through the end of high school. I have danced three or four times, max.The Process:I looked online for a place that was convenient and had reviews for people who can't dance. The second studio I looked at was Arthur Murray, and they were (thankfully) the most responsive. After one intro lesson we knew we would stick with the studio (and the instructor) to get our wedding dance together. The Result:Six sessions went much faster than I ever expected. We learned and progressed with every minute spent in the studio (and really appreciated the extra practice time that came with the lessons). Dancing did not become the most dreaded part of my week in large part thanks to our instructor Catherine and I even (gasp) had fun.In the end, we came out with exactly what we asked for. A simple dance without strict choreography that flowed and allowed us to be creative within the basic structure we had built. I was told later that everyone watching had been aware she danced and I did not - and I exceeded expectations (since they were zero). All credit to Arthur Murray. If you are nervous or out of time or have dancing skill horribly mismatched with your partner, you owe it to yourself to schedule a lesson here.
D Harmon: Arthur Murray Boston is a wonderful place to learn to dance: top quality instructors and a wonderful and friendly group of people. I enjoy the group classes, the private lessons, the weekly dance parties, and the many other special showcases, balls and festivities. They work on technique so that you don't just dance, but you actually look good doing so. Be prepared to open your wallet, but remember you do get what you pay for, and in the case of Arthur Murray of Boston it is worth it!
Roxane Sadaghiani: Bijorn is the kindest dance instructor ever! He, no matter what, makes you feel you are the best and become motivated to practice more and more and enjoy dancing more and more!
Brooke Smith: We attended an 8-class lesson plan in preparation for our first dance at our wedding and are so glad we chose Arthur Murray. We worked with a few instructors, all of whom were so helpful (neither of us had much history in dancing). We felt confident heading into our first dance on our wedding day and proud of what they had helped us put together! Thank you Arthur Murray Boston team for your creativity, inspiration, and persistence in teaching. We are so grateful! Highly recommended to all couples looking for lessons.
Ron Akanowicz: Positive:Professionalism,QualityI've been taking lessons at the studio for over a year now and really enjoy the level of instruction I've received. I can see I've made real progress in my dancing and enjoy it even more! Thanks AMDSB!
Constance Innocenti: My husband and I just finished our first block of classes at Arthur Murray Boston dance studio. Definitely my new favorite hobby! I now want to learn ALL the dances!Side note: during covid they have been extremely cautious not to spread germs. Instructors are wearing masks and gloves. There is hand sanitizer available and separate clean and used pens. I feel comfortable going there and it has been a great activity to do during this social distance period.
Anthony Scheff: My wife and I took ballroom dance lessons at this studio to prepare for our first dance, and we could not be happier with the results. We worked with Gary and Mariah, who were both wonderful. Our lessons were masked and socially distant because of the COVID pandemic, but they made us feel safe and comfortable. Our guests raved about our first dance, which is definitely more reflective of the professional instruction we received than our own dancing abilities. Whether you want to practice for a specific event or are just looking to become a better dancer, we highly recommend the Arthur Murray Studio of Boston.

Rola Languages: what do users think?
danny stone: I just finished a course in level 2 Spanish. The course was great and so was the teacher β€” I highly recommend!
Jacqueline Disch: Rola works with our school district and I had a wonderful experience taking Spanish for educators!
Rachel M: Rola Languages is such a gem! I have been enjoying my French classes very much (read: I love going to class each week because they are fun and I'm learning so much!), and Gina Marie is an excellent teacher. I love the classes and the opportunity to speak, hear, and converse in French - something language apps can't really offer you. To be honest, in level 1, I knew much of what we were learning, as I have attempted teaching myself French in the past and have picked up some basics. However, with the way Gina Marie teaches, I felt like I was enriching my limited knowledge in class - I was never bored, she made learning fun, and I even learned some new things as we went along, which was fantastic. I truly did not feel like I was repeating what I already knew while I was in class, I felt as if I was practicing to get better. Now I have moved onto Level 2 and it is equally as great. Thank goodness for Rola's online classes - I couldn't be happier that I am finally achieving my goal to learn French!
Simo Arredouani: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI would highly recommend Rola Languages to anyone who wishes to get on the path to polyglotism, or just improve their language skills. Very professional and experienced staff. Small class structure. Also a great opportunity to make new friends.
Gabrielle Rameriz: Positive:QualityBeen taking Spanish on and off with Rola for years, have always loved their teachers, commitment, and communication. Also when in person classes open again, it’s nice that they’re directly next to one of the best bagel places in Cambridge.
Angela Spignese: Professional, fun and great value. Would highly recommend to beginner or advanced language learners!
Joanie Weaver: Positive:Quality,ValueI’ve taken Intro 1-3 in Spanish with Rola and would recommend. I particularly enjoyed the intensive 10 day Intro 1 Spanish which had 1 hour of class per day each weekday for 2 weeks. While a bigger time commitment, it made learning and practicing so much easier to have class daily. Would recommend checking out their group classes!
william carter: Having studies with other programs in the area and ; therefore, being able to have a Real Comparison, I recommend Rola Languages. I feel that I LEARN. No fluff, no attitude , pure positive experience. The texts have been methodically thought out and planned to re-enforce the lessons. (As a former educator, they are excellent text, point on task.Administration and teachers support their students 100% for success.I can say they are AWESOME to work with.If you are serious to learn a foreign language quickly and with confidence;again, I highly recommend!
Walker Bristol: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Ali Eddy: Rola is great, one of the most affordable language schools in the area. I have taken french with them for the last year. I've never had a class with more than 6 people which is great. I have had the opportunity to get to know the other student's teacher and makes for a really fun learning environment where students can choose what we are most interested in learning and focusing on, and also creates a safe learning environment where people are not scared to mess up which is so important in learning a language!
Bethany Queior: Positive:Communication,QualityI've been taking French classes at RoLa for at least the last six years. I enjoy the small informal classes, the chance to meet new students, and the interesting teachers from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences. It's miles away from traditional classroom teaching and much more like spending time with friends.
Samaneh Mesbahi: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Vitor Keller: I have been taking Portuguese classes here for two years and am so happy with the experience. The teachers are all very caring and knowledgeable. They have encouraged me when I felt my progress was slow and wanted to quit. I was so happy that I continued with their support because I am now able to communicate and understand a new language. Learning new things is not easy but with persistence, patience, and good coaches it is possible. Also, the location is very convenient, right in Porter Square, and I never had a problem parking at a meter close by the school.
Nikki Mincheva: I've been taking Spanish at Rola for a few years now. I started with their in-person group classes and later continued with their private online tutoring. I was amazed how well the online tutoring worked for me. The cost difference is not significant and you get to enjoy a one-on-one with your dedicated teacher. Everything in the class is catered to your style and speed of learning. It's an amazing value and I highly recommend it. Rola also has this family feel to it, everyone is very sweet and helpful. A very special shout-out to my adorable profesora--Almu!
Merci ! :)
Chelsea Chin: I am so happy I found ROLA. I studied abroad in Spain and have been looking for a fun and affordable way to relearn the language. After multiple sessions with different teachers at RoLa, I have quickly improved my reading, writing and speaking abilities and look forward to my class each week. The teachers and students in the classes have all been great. Highly recommend RoLa!
Samantha Carter: I have been a student at RoLa for over a year and have taken classes in-person and virtually. I've absolutely loved the way that RoLa structures its classes. When I reached out to do a placement test, Erica helped coordinate one right away, and I spoke with the Portuguese teacher within a week. I was placed in the advanced level, which is mostly conversation with very helpful guidance from the teacher in the room/on the call. The teachers are very open to our suggestions, but also proactive in suggesting specific topics or vocabulary for us to work on as a group. I'd recommend RoLa to anyone looking to work on a Romance language - you'll learn and make some friends!
Carol: RoLa Languages is a gem of a school and community resource! It is small, intimate, and truly cares about its students. The staff have taken great care to create a community of learners that adds to the warmth and camaraderie of the school--enhancing the learning & cultural experience for everyone!
Caitlin Hemdal: I began Rola a little under a year ago to learn Spanish. I knew some basic vocabulary and phrases, but knew almost nothing about grammar, conjugations or written Spanish. In less than a year, the wonderful staff at Rola has dramatically improved both my writing and speaking. The small class sizes allow for a lot of individual attention; I now feel quite comfortable speaking with Spanish-speaking friends. Once I’ve finished Spanish I’ve even considered coming back to brush up on my French! I cannot recommend Rola enough!
Nancy Barcelo: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI have had a wonderful experience at Rola. The classes are small and the progression of the lessons are really helpful. I highly recommend Rola when wanting to learn a language as a beginner and as one advances.
Catherine Reilly: Both my children have been taking Spanish classes at Rola for a year now. Initially they took classes in person and now they have been doing them online. Their teacher has been really good at motivating them and finding exercises that are appropriate for their level. We have been very happy with our experience and both our kids have made significant progress with their Spanish.
