Tom McSweeney: The food was good. My wife's swordfish was a large portion and was grilled properly, but was bland. Generous side portions of rice and green beans. My nut-encrusted salmon was good, but the farro salad was cold. The entrees did not include a side salad, even as an option.Service was slow. The server didn't bring us water when we were seated, and didn't check on us after the food was delivered, until we were halfway done eating. By that time, I desperately needed a second glass of wine, which still took a long time to get to me. We decided against dessert, partly because we were afraid it would just take too long.We were seated facing the large window overlooking the wharf and bay, but it was not much to look at. No boats passing by, just cars and the occasional tour bus.
Rebecca Ehlers: The food was only okay, the service was blah. I'm not sure if our server was overworked or just not feeling it that day, but they came by once to ask what we wanted to drink and took our food order at the same time, dropped off our food once it was cooked and didn't come back. We finally had to ask a hostest if they could track down our server so we could get a refill on our drinks, to-go boxes, and the check.

Erick Conde: Great place to taste Boston local cuisine and traditional dishes. The feeling is very welcoming and confortable. They offer a bar, high table or lower table options, reservations are recommended. Service is very attentive and quick to respond. The fish and chips and the scallops dish are great options (with the sweet potato mash). Enjoy this very centric and great restaurant!

Craig Stearman: Was there with work group. Very touristy spot. Cocktail was good - ordered a Margarita. For dinner, I asked how we're the fish and chips. Was told it's the most popular... so I ordered it as I love a good order of Fish and Chips. Theirs was OK. Had a better order the night before at another restaurant. Mariana Barajas: Food was good and we were given a complimentary Clam Chowder for the Boston Marathon finishers. But our experience was not great because of the following experience we had:Dropped in as walk-in at 4pm, the restaurant was empty so we asked for a table and they said they couldn't give us one because they had reservations coming in. I mentioned we would leave before 5pm when potentially dinner reservations would start to come in, they still said no tables were available and sat us at the bar.We left at 5:30pm and the restaurant was still empty with many available tables. Sad because we would definitely stayed for longer and have more food/drinks if we were seated at a comfortable setting for a 4 people party.
SYLVAN QUALLO: This place use to be one of my favorite restaurant. Traveled here to eat only to be denied access.The host stated that she was no longer seating at 8:23pm.. which does not collide with their advertise closing time or seating time . I told her I would sit at the counter and have a small bowl of clam chowder since there were still people at the bar and others in the restaurant having dinner She said she doesn't make the rules.The is a first..I was shocked. I guess I have had my last meal here.

Cassie Heyman: Horrid service. Which is strange because the restaurant didn’t even seem busy. Waters and drinks were continuously not refilled and forgotten about. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted a drink before she went away with everyone else’s drink orders. The server had no idea what was gluten free on the menu and we didn’t receive the clam chowder we ordered because of it. The server gave zero communication on this. The other non gluten free clam chowders came out 2 min before our main dishes. We also reminded her multiple times about how we didn’t receive our side saucesand they didn’t come until we were nearly done eating. Lobster came cold when ordered hot. Just a lot of things went wrong honestly and I had good hopes for a well known seafood spot in Boston. I don’t know if (J) is new but she needs to be shadowed some more because that was just awful. I’m a server myself and understand things happen, but this was overwhelmingly bad.

Jared Lucev: I was in town for a convention and man was this place a delight. We decided to spring for a good seafood place (we're in Boston so kinda have to do a seafood place at least once) and the blackened Cod was so perfectly seasoned and flaky I was tempted to move back north. The place was spotlessly kept and everyone was very friendly. So glad we went there, worth the drive just for that.

The lobster roll had hardly no taste nor did the coleslaw that came with it. Like someone else said, literally shredded cabbage with no dressing. Next time I will support the small guy.

Derek Cheung: Walked in and the two young female hosts were not as friendly as one would like. Asked for a table for one but was denied saying they don't have any available but I can go seat myself at the bar, walk in and see at least 6 small tables available not to mention a few other tables for larger groups.Noticed they had a patio and lots of free tables, walked back out and asked if I could sit outside, the host said yes, I said great, and she just went back to doing whatever she's doing... I had to ask her if I could just go myself or she needed to take me.While she walked me to my table, I asked if I needed to go back in for service or if their waitstaff would come out which she said the latter. I am now seated and 15 mins gone by without a single waitstaff came out to me. 2 other waitstaffs came out at least 3 times for the other tables. Feeling a little upset I walked to the same host and asked if I can get some service out there, she said she'll get someone immediately and I walked back to my table. 5 mins passed by and still no one... I walked back in and the other waiter was right at the door and I asked to speak with a manager, he was nice enough to ask other waitstaffs to attend to me vs the original waitstaffs that never appeared. When I went back to my seat, the manager came out with another waiter who was friendly and knowledgeable, ordered my food and went on with my day... Will not come back due to poor service...

Mick Dunn: The Legal Sea Food at Logan Airport Terminal C is a very good option for a meal and/or drink while you wait for that flight. The menu is limited compared to a non-airport location and pricing is very expensive but the Wellfleet oysters I had were large and excellent. The drinks were very good too.

J. Salima Patel, PhD: The lobster roll was superb. As good as I remembered it. We got it as a last minute to go option as we were getting ready to board our flight back to Florida. After all, you cannot leave Boston without having a lobster roll. The roll itself was absolutely delicious! That said, the service completely sucked, every single staff person was very rude. And yes, I am very well aware that the price of everything has gone up but what a steep rise in the price of a lobster roll, I experienced a complete sticker shock! I ordered two basic lobster rolls to go and paid $100. For something you don’t need every day, it’s OK. But the side of attitude with my hideously expensive lobster roll was completely unnecessary, and I would’ve liked to skip it. I won’t blame it on being in an airport because other businesses seem to have very courteous, warm and friendly staff. I travel through Boston Logan a lot… This might actually be the first and last time I go to this particular legal seafoodlocation.
Daniel Hacke: Im getting old.. legal seafood used to be so good, when they were in the old airport location. Always went there..The food is absolutely tastless. Caesar salad tasts like crunchy water. Waitresses dont care about anything, point, but use no words. Its a long time ago i didnt tip. . Too bad..

Suanne: Had the Seafood Platter(calamari, scallops, cod, prawns, clam strips and fries), and Cesar salad. The platter was big enough for 2 people and it was very fresh, high quality and delicious. We usually don’t have this top quality foods at LAX. So impressed! The Boston airport is very busy, but service was excellent.

Tyco Jewel: Went here because visiting my old home town from NM and craving good seafood. Stayed at the Seaport Hotel to be close to Pavillion for Pet Shop Boys concert. Decided to walk to Legal and had a great scallop meal. BF had cod. Delicious and loved eating by the water. While its not the Clam Box of Ipswich great, still very good and I highly recommend if you are in the Seaport.

It came all together at one time and the fish was cold! it is not the Legal Seafood I always frequented in the past. When they took food back and brought it back hot it was loaded with salt and terrible. My boyfriend's "cod" was tiny tiny portion and also cold.I have never had such a disappointing meal.

Tim Mann: Second time in the past 2 months dining at Legal Seafood in Chestnut Hill, Ma. In February I was taken there for my birthday. Haddock came out extremely dry and tasteless. Sent it back and the manager came over and had my meal redone and it came out fantastic.My lady, her daughter and I went to the same Legal Seafood for Easter. Ordered rolls for the table and they brought out 2 rolls for e people. Did not complain, simply asked for another roll. For our meal, my lady ordered Clams Andouille and a Greek salad, her daughter Mac and Cheese and fries. I had ordered a burger and fries. Our appetizer was Gluten Free Calamari which was delicious.The clams andouille was very chewy. Literally, my lady was trying to chew one clam for over 1 minute to break it up and swallow. She could not and spit it into her napkin. She didn’t want to cause a fuss however, I called the waiter over and sent it back once the manager came to our table. She settled for just the salad. Her daughter’s Mac and Cheese seemed to be fine however, fries were cold. Which I knew because my fries were as well. We dealt with that. My medium well burger was burnt on the outside edges and raw on the inside. My two 2” strips of bacon were burnt and nasty. I ate the burger because I was hungry and the meal was a disappointment. When ordering the fish and chips I needed to specify that I wanted haddock for my order since pollack is the fish they typically use. The fries were soggy and the food greasy. Lee Marco: Your run of the mill east coast chain. Food was good but not great. Lobster bisque comes with sherry in it and it's heavy flavor. Oysters where fresh as can be. I only went once but I'd assume it's consistent and the food wasn't bad but wasn't great either. I'd recommend for quick bite. If your traveling and looking for authentic east coast seafood experience I'd look deeper.

The only exception was the clam chowder because that was the only item that was palatable. Jessica Camplese: We went there last night around 9pm. We were sitting there for 30 minutes. Our food never came out. We had to say something to the server, then a manager came over, gave an excuse that they "lost the ticket". Pretty sure they don't use actual tickets there, but a screen for orders. Manager said food was coming out. We needed to leave and he said he would box it up, that never happened as well. We left we no food and we ate nothing but the rolls. There was really no excuse for it. The restaurant was empty, the server should have been on top of it and noticed thay after 20 min of no food up, thta somethingwas wrong and alerted the manager. I was watching her panic and then go up to the manager. We had to say something before anyone approached us. Legals has gone down hill. Will never go to one again.
