Howl at the Moon Boston: what do users think?
Bethany Mayott: Bouncers were extremely rude. There were many over served people that ruined the vibe. People throwing up in the middle of the club, falling down stairs. Unsafe environment. They let way too many people upstairs to the point you can’t even get a drink. When I finally did they were over priced and not worth it.
Felipe Bessa: Wauu que lugar incrível ambiente maravilhoso astral nota 10 galera animada banda muito top galera bonita animada drinks perfeitos amei super recomendo voltarei mais vezes com mais amigos
Martin Nunez: Great place and fantastic vibe
Elongen Jones: I ordered a redbull and vodka and could only taste redbull. Drinks were not great.
Curtis Gibbons: Amazing spot. Servers were great, security wet great, and the performers were great. Top notch
Tyler Zolciak: Great live band plays every weekend! Awesome vibes, typically a younger crowd, cheap drinks and always a great time 😌
jennifer zaniboni: We bought skip the line passes for both upstairs and downstairs venues for $40 pp for birthday party. We arrived about 9 pm and there was no line at either. Later there was a line outside for the lower level club. Very fun venue and MC was good at having the birthday girl get up on stage to dance and sing with the band with smoke effects!. Only complaint is that several times we venmoed money (as instructed) for song requests totaling $40 in requests and the songs were never played. MC said that the band only knows certain songs so they can’t do anything about not honoring paid song requests :(
Sanjay Patel: great vibe
Vineet Yalaka: Oh damn can't explain how much fun we had at this place. The Jell-O shots were crazy and the dance floor(which is opens around 11pm) opens up all new wonders. Best time to be at this place is after 10 in the night.
shriya hukkeri: Nice little place with great live music. You can suggest songs as well!
Pranay Devgan: Live music, good drinks, great vibe and people howling, lol (there was one guy) it was fun night.
Julie Nasser: We threw a private party at Howl and they were amazing!!! So accommodating, answered every question quickly, provided A+ service and the band was fabulous as always! I absolutely recommend going to Howl if you want a fun night with live music
Amanda Holmsten: The drinks were cheap and the bar service was good but there was a general manager going around and rudely throwing coats at people who left them on chairs. Maybe invest in a coat check or get rid of table service after 11 pm on a Friday night! Will not be going back
Savannah Harpster: Horrible experience here
Colleen Smith: Great music and there is plenty of room to dance!
Jolene Eastman: Went for my niece's Bachelorette party we had a great time.
Celestina Marie: Our waitress Haley rocks!!! I will go back each time and personally request her because she makes this place that much more enjoyable. Music is upbeat , drinks are good.
Crystal Curran: Kinda weird vibes
Talita da Costa Moreira Lima: Nice place, delicious margaritas, and awesome musicians! Had a great time with friends!
Gwenyth Duclos: EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF…bouncer refused to let me in with my friends because I gave him “attitude”…filing with the better business bureau. Should be shut down for their incompetence. Will NEVER be returning .
Caleb LeClair: This spot bumpin

Venu Nightclub: what do users think?
Tunahan Özcan: Takes forever to go in
Jurassic Jones: Absolute horrible experience, mainly due to the bouncers working outside. Went there on Sunday 4/23/23 to celebrate my birthday - I immediately received a bad reception by the bouncers due to wearing a hat. Not the end of the world, so I took my hat off and began to clip it on my pants. I was told by immediately that that was unacceptable, so then asked if I could bring it in and check it with the coat check…and again with their horrible attitude I was told that couldn’t happen either. I then asked them if I could place it by the door safely and grab it upon leaving. Again with their horrible attitudes, one security guard tells me, “ You can do that, but if someone takes your hat we’re not responsible.”I replied stating that if their duty is to secure the door, patron safety, and belongings in coat check, that if someone indeed steals my item of clothing under their watch, then it would be their responsibility. They continued expressing their toxic macho mannerisms, and I told them that it’s 10:30 PM in Boston and I had to park a long way away to return my hat, mind you it was also raining ! They said it wasn’t their problem…I’m a pretty non confrontational person, and it takes a lot to upset me, but I was frustrated to say the least. I bit the bullet, returned to my car - and in hindsight I should have told the 3 other patrons that came with me that we should relocate to a different place just from the bad taste they left. When I came back, I paid $30 to get in plus $5 for coat check (money wasn’t the issue, I went their to celebrate my birthday at 12AM and just wanted to get in and make the best of it.)When I finally got inside, the venue was riddled with guys wearing hats. Skullys, fitteds, beanies, you name it.Rules are rules, and if they applied to everyone I wouldn’t of even taken the time to write this review, but the combination of horrible customer service and hypocrisy really set the tone for my experience throughout the night. I’m one person, and it probably won’t make a difference, but I’m never going that establishment again. Bad enough the venue was the size of a closet.Exceptional customer service goes a long way! Unfortunately, I’d rate the bouncers a -5/10. Their attitude felt personal, and they should truly seek proper customer service training. This was a horrible way to bring in my birthday.
Trang linh Lương thị: I got harrased by the security when he touches me without my consent and they didnt even care to hear my side of the story. They even accused my friend of stealing the employees phone. And they also tried to avoid taxes by taking cash only. They don’t treat me like human.
Multi- Purpose: Be aware of racist security guards at the door, denied us entrance because of our skin color even though we had purchased tickets on Eventbrite.
Yevhenii Diomidov: They didn't let me in because I had my emotional support plushie with me.
Nathalia Martins: Don't waste your time coming here. Everything about this place is TRASH. Bartenders will rob your money and give themselves more for tips.Plenty of other places to go to.
John Centofanti: My friends and I bought tickets for NYE Midnight ranging from $50-90. The ticket "guaranteed admission" but the entire line waiting outside was denied admission with claims that they were "at capacity". The bouncers couldn't care less about looking at our tickets or helping with refunds. They told us to figure out the refunds ourselves, meanwhile Eventbrite doesn't even have customer service so we're all struggling to get refunds now. Your money is better spent elsewhere!
Ethan Carey: Bouncers are completely inconsiderate and arrogant, made simply entering the club difficult and uncomfortable. Venue itself is mediocre at best.
Mohammed Albadrani: Worst line eve! Security guys are just money diggers !The big black guy and the Arabic looking guy Abbas🖕🖕
Yousif Alani: Don’t ever come here, the line is ridiculous
Jason “FunnnyFall” Do: Came here for an RnB event. Definitely had a great time! A bit crowded but it’s part of the experience
TARAN MATHUR: Waste of time, full of underage cringe college students. Such a stupid system of creating a guest list queue for everyone to stand in. Girls who are attractive can skip the line just by flirting with the arrogant security staff. Clearly not a top club!
Madisyn Paige: 0/10
Rob: Poured 3/4 of a beer and charged me for the whole beer. Watched the bar tender put the 1/4 of the drink I paid for in the trash. Go somewhere else.
D: I would suggest going somewhere else. The door snobs running up front are obnoxious.Dropped ID outside, out of reach behind the gate, politely asked one of the bouncers if they could grab it for me, and was met with some “pseudo-alpha male” bs. “You can walk around and get it yourself.” Formerly being a bouncer, there’s really no reason for that, and also there was a gated crowd in line behind me. Unruly and drunk people are one thing, not regular patrons who were asking a favor because they literally could not get an item they dropped. We were removed from the line because I called Hamplanet Billy a dbag, no excuse there, but dang. Don’t act like a knob for no reason.Edit: read the previous reviews - it isn’t just me who thinks the bouncers are rude for no reason.
Bruzual Family: They cloned my credit card and did several charges. On dates I was not even in the city
Vinnicios “vinny” Ferreira: Venu is family.
L Mitchell (Lauraien): I’m pretty sure a bartender openly took my money, knowing there was an extra $20, instead on here honey you gave me too much.
Jaredleader Leader: Pre paid for entry then we're turned away without refund by the owner because they were full
strela Negra: The security are very unprofessional we was on the front line they went all the way down on the line to grab 6 girls that was already drunk to put in because they need more girls than man that is what the latino security said! That is why happened a lot crimes over and over again because of they unprofessional jobs! I NOT A PLACE TO BE BECAUSE ITS NOT SAFE BECAUSE THE SECURITY DONT DO THEY JOB VERY GOOD!!! Be careful and be safe
Keoni Rellin: Had a great time! , Went by myself last night and had a blast The DJ was playin absolute hip hop boppers, all the bouncers were super friendly when I talked to them nice and clean place, overall had a blast and would definitely go back! :) Only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is cuz some of the bartenders and bottle girls were not in a positive mood but there was one that was really nice and made my night better :)

Limelight Stage + Studios: what do users think?
alain nourias: Ce n'est pas le meilleur ni le pire des karaokés mais notre soirée n'était pas folle.
Ritchie Vernon: I no longer go there the DJ tried to have me sing different songs at the end of the night one of which was mainly toto's Africa which I got tired of singing I didn't feel that I was given any right the end of the night of what song I wanted to do! I got along great with the employees there I went there for about 3 years on and off before I had knee surgery and I enjoyed my time there until the last year when the DJ tried to pick my last song of the night for me which I didn't like at all! he wasn't doing that for other people that I know of so I didn't feel it was being right being done to myself I no longer go to the limelight and I don't recommend it anymore! I love the other karaoke places much better that I hope whenever The New normal comes about that I can participate in again! I love the Hong Kong in faneuil Hall and other places that I have frequented to sing including Cathay Pacific in North Quincy!
MING: 生日聚會的好地方!
James Bond: Went there a few months ago. Staff was really annoying, often checking on us. They refused to give me a glass of water ("you have to pay"). Won't go back
John Y: Went to do karaoke in the rooms - clean place with nice furnishing. However the karaoke system they had only had words and no music videos. There's no options to add vocals to the background music. Unfortunately, the background music was also really bad at times - it was like you were just singing alone. CRITICALLY, the lyrics were out of sync with the music, which had quite a big impact on the experience. The staff were dismissive and defensive about the it though, and just told us that there was nothing that could be done about it. Lastly, FYI there's a hidden 18% gratuity at the very end.
A A-MI-NA: Had a great time and loved that they have private rooms for even more enjoyment 👍
Kristina Feddo: The manager Jermaine and our server Gina made my birthday special. There were 9 of us. They were welcoming and accommodating. We rented a room. We found all the songs we wanted. After, we went to the main stage and the energy was awesome. Will definitely be back again!!
Curtis Cormier: The setup is pretty nice, but the DJ definitely doesn't play the song requests in order. Was there for a solid 3 hours and was only able to do 2 songs. The places wasn't even full.
Tianyu Zhu: Great place to karaoke with a stage! $10 cover charge. I would suggest going on Wednesdays or Thursdays since there are fewer people and you get more chances to sing.
Stephenson King (Steve): It was new to me but the food isn't bad if you are a vegan or meat eater.
Chris Andy: It was great we loved it my girlfriend blew the States out of the building yeah yeah
Nader Mokhtar: Great local find. Your here because you enjoy karaoke. I recommend the main stage. Private rooms are available.
Brian Gereau: Cool spot for karaoke with private rooms and a main public stage. The rooms are a completely different experience than the main area. The stage is much better, having a seasoned MC who understands sound. Also better versions of the songs in the public area.
Rooska StVictor: Nice place. A little expensive but a great experience nonetheless ~
Calvin Stone: Good service, reasonable song selection. Machine was fairly easy too use but searching for songs by an artist can get challenging.
Nika Brunk: This is the WORST establishment with RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL staff. DO NOT waste your time here. What a joke. Even better, they lie and manipulate their staff to agree with their wrongdoing(s). I would give it zero stars but it won’t let you.
Meghan Carron: If you have very high standards (for the tech, etc) don't go here. For example it has a lot of chinese and Korean language in the room and on the tech. Otherwise, it gets the job done. It has a lot of bad reviews, I would say they all make sense. I was confused why some people gave high ratings and some gave low but i get it now. If both limelight and station bistro ktv are both hit or miss, then go with the cheaper one (not limelight). Was definitely not worth $60/hr. Save yourself some money. FYI we did have a good time there which is why I'm giving 3 stars!
Brandon Burtner: Eh. I'm pretty into karaoke, and this isn't top notch. I don't live in Boston so I can't compare it to to its local peers, but I've been to much better karaoke bars in much smaller markets. We did a private room. I was very underwhelmed by both the song selection and the UI for choosing songs. Also like half of the songs have inaccurate names or artists. The service was good and we had a fun time, but overall this was not a good karaoke bar. The system, equipment, and song library in the private rooms left SO MUCH to be desired.
Logan Thompson: Very buggy tech. Very few songs to choose from.
Wayne Malloy: Great overall experience! The room was warm but the staff member was quick to solve the problem. The system to search for songs is a little wonky, but we still had fun. The bar does not have a full liquor license and only serves cordials, beer and wine. They did give a hearty pour of wine! This is a great place for a large group gathering.
Diana sverdlin: Terrible place. Would highly encourage you not to go. They gave us a price at the entrance and then charged us more under the excuse that the guy at the entrance can't give prices.

Antonio Lizárraga: Great music
James Fenter: We tried for a few months to reserve the Napoleon room for our reception/celebration in June. We emailed, left vm, and finally called to try to communicate with someone. We finally got through to a very disinterested individual who told us to email the same address we’d been emailing without success or call the same number we’d been getting no return calls from.Told him to forget it. We’ll go elsewhere. It’s too bad. I’ve enjoyed many dinners and events at Club Cafe, our 1st date was there. But I’m taking the disregard personally. Not that they care.
George Christou: A fantastic venue to visit particularly for LGBTQ+ people. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious with generous portions, and there is always something happening. Maybe a few too many things! Just visit and you'll know what I mean.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
BLUF 4273: I loved the tea dance on Sundays before the pandemic. I went three times at the beginning of 2023 only to find the dance floor almost empty, discouraging me from continuing. Before the pandemic, the tea dance was from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and until midnight on some occasions like Labor Day weekend. Now it’s from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I don’t know if that change corresponds to a lower clientele. Please reply if someone has more information about the Sunday tea dance after the pandemic. I look forward to having fun again.
Noor Farhat: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Andre Kurlovs: Some of the rudest and most unreasonable bouncers/ security guards I have ever experienced, which is especially surprising given that this establishment claims to be inclusive. Check out the other one star reviews. There is a theme emerging here.
Lucila Valena: Me echaron xq a una amiga le cayó mal laComida. Y encima les pedía la reglamentación y te dicen googlea la un desastre.
Eric Buzard: Went for the club portion after 10pm. No lines early in the night to get in but still plenty of people already dancing. A friend who came later did experience a line to get in, so keep that in mind. Also, cover was $15 each person but an ATM is inside the door if you forgot to bring cash. Drinks were reasonably priced for a big city and the bartenders were friendly and professional and kept the bars pretty clear of any build up of people thanks to their fast service.
Laura Stringer: Was in town for a few days and this was the closest karaoke near my hotel. Seemed like a lot of regulars who knew each other but also a few one-off folks like me. There were some intimidatingly skilled singers and also a supportive crowd for just belting your heart out even if you can't quite find the note. Will definitely go back if I'm around again on a Wednesday night!
Evangeline Durand: Food is great, my black friends get profiled every time we go, the dj is ASSSSS

Manuel A Báez (Manni): Good food, great drinks and entertainment.
Librería Lamertoniana: This is a place where everyone can be themselves. I love it. I will defend it because they are fighting so hard to stay in the business and offer good food, good drinks, good service and disco. They have to improve their advertisements. I suggest they use eventbrite also to promote events and that they create more content on instagram and tik tok. I love them deeply.
Diego Garrido: There is always a good memory in this place. Family, community, relations, you can find here a good food and a safe place to be yourself. For sure, you have to have boundaries and respect, but i have seen and met wonderful people. I had my best experiences there.

Wild Rover: what do users think?
Larry Benner: Nice place , friendly staff !!
Eoin McDonnell: Worst pint of Guinness I've had in years.
Stagand Doe: Eve is the waitress you want and keighly is the bartender. Best in the area and super friendly.
Cooper Jones: I’m from cape cod and this was my first weekend out in Boston and I picked the right spot! Great drinks but the best part was the service! Our bartender Ajsa was awesome, so nice and helpful. She was above and beyond
Ellie Mae Freer: Had a great time singing karaoke on Wednesday night. Eve was very attentive and made sure my glad was never empty. I'll definitely be coming back!
Stefano Zarro: Always a great time at Wild Rover. Ajsa made us great drinks and was a pleasure to talk with. Cheers to all
Benjamin Torrence: Good vibes and strong drinks. Ajsa was wicked helpful in getting the Celtics game put on.
J N: Ehhh cans of Guinness for saint Patrick’s. No draft. Joke
Philip Watson: I was here out of town for a gaming conference, and it was INCREDIBLY welcoming. The bouncer was extremely professional. The biggest plus being in Boston is my brother and I are from NEW YORK so we expected a weird if not unwelcoming experience based on stereo types. The bartenders were as nice as they come, one of them whose name is Ajsa and Lily were even nice enough hang near us to make us feel welcome. Definitely coming back. And damn, there was this one bud light…
Justin Hutchinson: Waitresses and bartenders were very sweet and kept making sure my friends and I were all set and having a good time. Also the sour patch kid drink from Ajsa is way too good.
Musaab T.: A surprisingly good time here on st paddy’s day. Staff was chill . Prices were fair. Vibe was fun . Nice and spacious
PO Honey: Meh! No coffee pot for Irish Coffees. Oh well. Bartender was very sweet though.
Karli Tumbleson: The DJ is amazing and hysterical. I swear to god he made me laugh so much the night I was there. The bartenders are super nice, friendly, and open to drink ideas. Definitely a place I recommend for dancing.
humble jay777: Y’all need to give the bouncer Jacob a raise . He treats everyone with respect and doesn’t let the job get to his head
PW Mallory: The karaoke was pretty fun
Orla Erdman: Horrible new year experience
B. Smith: Good place to get some cocktails when the Black Rose is too packed, oh and it's affiliated with Sissy K's.
Kent Williams: This is the best Karaoke spot in Boston hands down! The drinks are average and somewhat watered down but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. The upstairs dance floor is basically a sauna absolutely packed with mostly college kids but the DJ is very nice and has a great playlistOnly downside was that the staff was rude when I asked if there was anyone with a phone charger. Luckily for us the bouncer at the door was friendly and helped us with directions back to North Station.
Brian Bowen Jr: Visited for the first time this past Saturday with old friends. Was initially greeted by a very friendly door man and then sat at a table on the main floor. Drink prices were about the same as most bars in the city but the food was a surprising hit! They have karaoke every night which is a bonus
Janet W. Southall: We stopped for just a nightcap but the place seemed happy healthy and lively.
May Ubeku: Had APHA Annual Conference 2022 after party here. Fun.

Sissy K's: what do users think?
Silas C: Friendly bartenders, but not so great tacos. Maybe it was because it was tacos and margaritas event, but by far some of the poorest tacos I’ve had.

Royale: what do users think?
Izzy Gwen: Got spiked in October of 2021. Don’t recommend
Danielle Betz: All the bouncers are on a major power trip, turned a lot of people away. Kept asking everyone how much they had to drink including myself. End of the night they literally pushed people out of the venue and scream at people who are waiting for Ubers to leave. Ive never had another venue yell at people for standing outside.Cons: no ac, bouncers and security suck, overpriced drinks and 2 drink minimum for credit cardsPros: venue looks nice and good sound quality
golfinmang: Andy Shauf show, first time at the Royale and it was awesome!
Emily Hunter: pretty nice venue. the rules for this venue are strange though. they didn’t let me in over some slides. so beawareeeeee.
Cohavit Gil: It sucks to have to write a negative review on this place bc I’ve seen some cool shows here and I’ve had fun here. But as another reviewer mentioned, the line to get in to MEDUZA on 3/31 was atrocious. I get management wanting to keep a line outside to make it look ‘popular’ or whatever, but this was excessive. Or maybe the management team is simply inexperienced (they recently made a ton of new hires) and they were understaffed and underprepared for a sold out show. Whatever the reason, we spent longer outside waiting than inside seeing the show! Even MEDUZA said something about the line when the dude got on stage. Not cool, Royale!
Holly Reyes: Royale is so nice, I went for my first time to see Jukebox The Ghost and was very pleased . Plenty of parking in the area. Park at tufts and it's right across the street. Staff was really nice.
Cindy: I haven't had such a bad experience until tonight (Friday, 3/31/2023). We waited in line in freezing light rain for over an hour to get inside which was at 12:20am. We had $40 pre-purchased tickets. And at one point while waiting in line, there was a very rude power-tripping security guy telling us to make way for the entrance doorway to which seemed like an apartment. A girl and her friend who have been waiting in line behind me with her friends left the line for a minute. The same security guy told them they can't "cut" the line when they weren't. He said he didn't see them leave the line so it didn"t matter. A guy not from the group said she and her friend had waited in line for a while, too. But he didn't take that info. One of the girl's friends tried telling the security guy the two had waited, but the guy threatened the friend about not getting back in the line instead. So the girl and her friend couldn't get back in line. Ridiculous power-tripping going on that night with that one security guy. He was disgusting. The dj was great and the drinks were good though.
Brian Nguyen: What a great venue. Two stories, multiple bars, multiple dj locations. Looks tiny when entering, can easily miss the entrance sign.
Shon Baranov: First time in a night club in my life and it was the best experience ever. Staff was very nice and helpful of any people that couldn't control themselves. I came twice to the nightclub. Friday night for the discord event and Saturday night for PAX appreciation party hosted by the Royale. Bouncer or security that was standing near the washrooms was very friendly and the females working at the coat check were the best. I would recommend this night club for your events and with great DJs playing great music.
Lily Freyer: Usually have a good time here, asked for a cup of water and the bartender got upset with me and took a dirty cup someone had brought up to the bar and filled it with water and tried to give it to me. Not sure why she was so upset as I was purchasing actual drinks at the same time. Gross AF
Mahak Bhatia: Very bad experience with this place. This is the worst club I have ever seen in Boston.
Jacqueline Rounds: I had just left royale and was finding an Uber home. I was alone, as a woman, waiting for the car to pick me up. I was asked to leave the area and I graciously explained that as I woman I do not feel comfortable leaving the spot I was in because it’s very unsafe, especially the area I was in. The security guard told me that he does not care about that and that I have to leave the area nonetheless. I understand the circumstances but one woman standing alone waiting for an Uber is not a problem and to neglect my own saftey is a real problem with clubs like this. I was once roofied here as well. I thought that things have changed but apparently they have not. Do better.
Shirl Kasanovich: Fun place if you don’t mind being packed in like sardines in a hot can…NO seating.
Arpit Jain: Pretty cool experience seeing a concert here
mena salame: Extremely disrespectful and racist. Was asked if i was “from here” three times by a staff member.
Hannah: Concert Security is really bad. I was front row at a concert and some lady started assaulting me. It caused a scene but no security in sight. They also didn’t direct crowd surfers so people where just lost at the front of the stage. They weren’t wearing uniforms so I honestly had no clue if they even HAD security. Very disappointing :/
Anthony: Good venue.
Anna K: Had a fun night out here.
Anna Marshall: The music was not good and our vip section with bottle service took 30-45mins for a drink. It’s a beautiful space but the service was extremely unfortunate.
Yousif Alani: Worst place ever.
T: A bit expensive for the music played inside. It is mostly crowded, but people inside are correct, I would say.Unfortunately, it is not that easy to get a drink since there is a long queue which can take 10–15 minutes until you can finally order your drink. The good point is that there are several security agents who are helping you if needed.3 stars that could be 4 stars without the queue for alcohol.

The White Bull Tavern Boston Karaoke, Comedy, DJ's: what do users think?
Cecilia S: Lobster roll, de best!! Waitress was great too on April 27.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Patricia Sánchez-Connally: Tried to have a meal here and service was terrible. Waited half hour and no one bothered to even bring us water. Two servers kept going to the same three tables while the rest of us kept trying to get their attention. When I called the manager over he didn’t even bother, just yelled “I said ok!” Ended up leaving and going to Bell in Hand where they treated us like customers. Never again.
Julia P: Pretty good lobster options! Slightly overpriced as other places offered more lobster of higher quality for same price or less. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Nice interior decor.Recommended dishes Maine Lobster Roll …More
Mia Cocheo: Don't go here unless you want to be body shamed and harassed by the bouncer (bouncer shown in the attached photo). I haven't witnessed this type of bullying since middle school. I watched the bouncer tell a woman that she's "too fat for her age" then he proceeded to pour rain water (from the umbrella above) all over her head. I wish I was making this up. The way the staff treats people here is discriminatory and pure evil. On top of the horrible treatment I witnessed, I thought the food might be their only redeeming quality until I found a piece of hair in my meal- mind you: I have a shaved head. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
Elizabeth Swastek: We had 1 drink and we were going 100% at karaoke since we were on vacation. They claimed we were too drunk and refused to serve us at first. When we tipped $0 because they were being rude, they kicked us out saying we had too much to drink. Such a bummer. The karaoke person was great and was fun! Wasn’t happy with the staff and wouldn’t go again.
Audra Moore: mid bar, weird selective wait to get upstairs, kicks everyone out at 1:30 despite saying open until 2, music is same as bell in hand but slightly shorter wait to get upstairs
Stephen B: Club at night time. Loud music and good drinks. Was pretty packed but that's what I expected late night Boston . I would not go at night if you don't like the crowd or loud music. The dance floor was big and nice all around. I'd come back if I was in the area.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Mariel Underground: what do users think?
S M: ambiance is amazing, but the crowd is a huge load of dirtbags and blacked out college girls. I wish they only let class in, Yvonnes has a wayyy better crowd and vibe.
Anu Gaavar: The guy who works at the end towards the entry for mariel underground door is very poorly behaved and shows no respect.
S: I honestly wish I read the reviews before coming here. It seems like I'm not the only one who has experienced this. They booked my reservation for $50 a week in advance. Only for them to text me the day of and say I need to be charged a $500 minimum because they made a mistake and will offer us a complimentary champagne bottle. After arriving to our section they kept insisting that we need to order more drinks to reach our minimum balance, so we ordered the $295 pitcher, had 5 Fijis because there were only 5 of us and THAT WAS IT! After finishing our pitcher we thought we had to order more drinks but the girl came back with our receipt, charged us for the COMPLIMENTARY drink ($300), 6 red bulls (which we never even drank, not even 1), the fijis (understandable), the picture for $295, gratuity of %20 automatically added and the table (which we already were charged when we reserved the table for our section). SO I don't understand how the total came to $886 when we were only trying to reach our minimum of $500 (without tip). It seems like this place keeps saying you need to reach a certain threshold so that you can surpass and ultimately charge you more than what you had anticipated. I felt if they never even said we need to keep spending more, we would have only been at the $500. It's truly disgusting the way this company works and I'll never come back. I'll be making TikTok and Instagram reviews as well so people know what they are coming into before booking this place. The music was trash and they removed the red stanchions at 1am when we were clearly still in our section and random people were sitting in our couches, one girl even spilled her drink on me as she SAT DOWN ON ME! I had to yell at her to get off me. This would've never happened if they kept them up for what we paid for. Ridiculous.
Nikolay “Nikolay Hanglow”: Good place, but wicked expensive
Rachel Pesce: I made a reservation a month in advanced for me and my boyfriend's joint birthday celebration. It was this past Saturday night March 11th. We were planning on around 20 people, but told the person who I made the reservation with that it may be a few less. They said that it would be $50 minimum per person. I said that that was perfect. They said that we would have a table to eat and drink from 8-10pm and then we would have to leave the table because it would turn into a night club but that we could stay down and order from the bar. I said that that was perfectly fine. The night of we all arrived at 8pm. The hostess brought us to 2 half- moon shaped booths that were next to each other but far enough away that we all could not talk to each. We were completely separated. After about 15 minutes I asked if there was any way we could be moved to a larger table across the restaurant so that we could all be together because it was for both my boyfriend and my birthday and we were not even together, and the hostess said she would see what she could do. Then, came back over to me with another man and they very condescendingly told me there's nothing they could do. So, that really upset me, because they couldn't have accommodated 20 people and if they had told me that I wouldn't have even booked this reservation. I would have went somewhere else. Additionally, at 9:50 the server told my boyfriend we were $300 less than the minimum and that we had to order more. There only ended up being 16 people so it should have been 16 x$50 which is $800. However, after my boyfriend ordered 2 large pitchers of something to try and meet our minimum, the bill ended up being $1235. Which was $400 over our minimum. We ended up having 10 mins to try and drink the two large pitchers because she asked us so late. Then, the most annoying part of the whole night was after we just spent all that money they said we had to pay a $30 cover per person. Meanwhile, everyone had already dispersed around the dance floor and bar. So, I just paid for everyone which ended up being $480. I would have never chose this establishment for my birthday if I was notified beforehand that I would have to pay a cover when we were already downstairs. I also would not have booked if I had known our group was going to be separated. I also felt that the staff was very condescending and rude. I don't think they were very helpful or professional. Also, I think the server was very undertrained and definitely was not ready to handle a party of that size. I literally NEVER complain about places. However, this experience was THAT bad.I hope this helps someone looking into this establishment for an event or special occasion.
Hannah R: The food and drinks were delicious but like others have mentioned, it's not the best club.
Timothy Skyes: These days, night clubs and lounges are a dime a dozen. Mariel underground doesn't offer anything in terms of uniqueness or attractiveness. They have an "exclusive" and selective entry but yet half of the patrons were drunk college kids. Seems like its all marketing. The music was outdated, DJ was old and the drinks weren't made well and I have seen/heard rumors of people being roofied at this club. I wouldn't come back.
W: Paid for a table at Mariel earlier this month and was extremely disappointed. Dinner upstairs was ok (not worth the $300 tab for two meals at all unfortunately) and downstairs in the club atmosphere and vibe was very tacky (you essentially walk down into a basement into a frat style college club, not very classy vibes if thats what youre going for). They did have live musicians that was a plus, however musicians did not seem well rehearsed. Drinks were watered down. Did we have a good time? Eh. I suggest your save your money and go to Encore.
Madhura Hulsurkar: Amazing ambience, food and service. Vegetarians also have nice options. Portion of each dish is good for 2 people. Really loved pan queso frito, avocado con mojo, sufrito hummus. Pizzas were okayish. Their cocktails are fancy. Nice place of celebrations or for date night.
Nicole Lee: Went here this summer for my sister’s bachelorette party and it was very underwhelming. Dinner itself was good but the club scene was lame. We had set a price for a table with a promoter ahead of time but it was not honored. When I brought that up with the staff, they were very rude about it and basically said tough luck. Our bottle girl was very nice and apologetic about the situation but overall I wouldn’t recommend this club. Also the drinks are very overpriced, there isn’t much room to dance and the music wasn’t great.
Kaytie Kellaway: My go to nightlife spot in Boston. Great drinks, atmosphere & service! The DJs are always great and make it a super fun night. I come in from LA and this is the closest thing to the places out there.
M.B.K: Hell yeaah I love Mariel and The Underground, its a posh place in Boston some nights its allright but some nights its pumpin and makes you go like f. Yeaa. Love it there. No five stars cause some bartenders can be a “soup nazi” from time to time. But its fine nothing is perfect in this world.
Eric Lord: Amazing atmosphere, great music, good mixed shots, but the drinks are fairly expensive. I reccomend a significant pregame before you arrive.
Christie Angrand: My cousin celebrated his birthday here, we did VIP with bottle service. Rafaella was super cool and she took good care of us. I wish I had more pictures to show, the aesthetic is really nice.
Joy Adeyemi: DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Came out for a good time, left annoyed due to rude staff 🙄. I will take my $$$ elsewhere. Thank you.
Jennie K: Came here for my bachelorette party and ended up feeling disappointed. They seated us at a weird, low table with a nice couch but uncomfortable stools. My MOH asked if we could move to a booth and the guy seating us said no.The food was good, but we were expecting the same drink menu as upstairs Mariel’s. We asked our waitress if we could get some pina coladas upstairs since they don’t do blended drinks downstairs and bring them back down. She said sure, but when we tried the bring them back down, the doorman wouldn’t let us back down to our table. We tried to explain that our waitress told us it was okay, but he wasn’t having it. Eventually my MOH did some negotiating and he let us down.As the night went on, we noticed some birthdays and other bach parties getting some signs brought over congratulating them. We had told them we were there for a bachelorette party when we made our reservation, but they never brought a sign over to us. When my MOH asked the waitress, she seemed snippy about it and didn’t realize we were having a Bach party ( I was wearing a veil and sash which would be pretty hard to miss). Ended up not getting one, which was lame.Nobody was really dancing afterwards because of the awkward VIP tables taking up all the dancing space so we moved over to Wild Rover. The staff and experience over there made the night much more special. Wish I could say the same for Mariel underground, but they were disappointing. Probably wouldn’t go there again or recommend to others.
Aidan Marshall: Bouncers on a power trip, being rude, do not recommend it
Jeffrey Dean: Had an unpublished dress code for a show. The bouncer said he couldn’t tell everyone “because he didn’t have their numbers”! What a ridiculous joke…
Irene Wong: Tried going to this relatively new club for the first time, and it’s truly the worst club in all of Boston - advanced tickets were not honored because the management/bouncers let in too many guests (VIP or walk-up…??? Who even knows!) DJ table not elevated and there is literally no dance floor. There are only VIP tables and walkways between the VIP tables… truly laughable. For GA guests who want to go here to see EDM artists, this is way way wayyy worse than The Grand and any other club in Boston. Absolutely not worth your time or money to go here, and I genuinely feel bad for all the DJs that are booked here. These artists deserve more than this awfully managed club.
Yedek Avlanmaz: This place is awful. The bartenders are getting drunk while at work. No professionalism at all.
