The Magic Parlor: what do users think?
pedro vera: Great service, awesome store. Thank you
Iris Moon: Such a wonderfully weird shope. I absolutely loved my experience here. The two gentlemen who were working when i stoped in were just as sweet as pie which is always a huge plus. They have the coolest nick-knacks, strange gifts, tons of herbs, divination tools, books, wall decor and a wide variety of other oddities. You must check this place out if you are stopping by the Salem area. I could spend hours in here. Oh! And did i mention there are about a million and one vintage items to marvel at! If you are a practitioner or just a fan of the strange and unique this store will have something for you!
Iris Villianous: Love this place good herbs an beautiful merch
Veronica “Ronnie” Valentin Astacio: They also have a bunch of ben-nye, mehron, and some alcohol activated makeup pallets. SFX makeup galore. Bought a ring that has a eyeball behind chrome teeth.
Purple Velociraptors: One of my favorite shops to visit whenever I'm in Salem. Looking forward to my next visit!
Rebecca Yood: This store is so cool. They have so many cool things. T shirts, jewelry, capes, figurines and much, much more. I highly recommend this store to anyone who is visiting Salem.
Anselmo Martinez: Love this place. They have Ben Nye products you can't find a lot of places and I'm grateful for that and the friendly help.
Lily Goodman: Went here for a psychic reading- so disappointing. The lady came out and when told she had another reading to do loudly went "ughh" and sulked around the shop a while, while we waited. $40 for 20 mins, she wouldn't let a friend watch or let the customer record the reading. went so fast the customer could barely follow- Vague, largely inaccurate reading with bad vibes all round- what a rip off!! Left a paying customer feeling anxious and upset
Stacy Azevedo: Only shop running AC and triple size and selection
Vintage Variety Shop Nj: Truly one of the best shops. All kinds of stuff. If you want something unique and different different this is a great place
Alexa Lauria: Loved this store! My boyfriend and I went in several times during our visit. One of my favorites by far and very friendly staff!
Jessica Magelaner: Fantastic selection of incense, very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely better to stop in when it's not crowded, as the store is full of all sorts of neat things and it's hard to look around properly when it's packed.
llawyer @aspannow.com: Fun place any time of the year. People are great.
Mauro Nicoletto: Was there 5/14/22 and the three guys in the store were amazing! I told them we were tourists from LI and they gave me a free map, showed me around the store and not one of them pressured us to buy anything! One fella struck up a conversation with my daughter about Movie Makeup and it turns out he has worked on major shows like Walking Dead! They gave us recommendations for the museum next door, AND a lunch place, both of which we took up and loved! Wish we had more peeps like this on LI!
Affordable Vinyl: A little bit of everything inside,
Noxi B: Always a pleasure visiting this shop. One of my favorites by far. :)
Vanessa Ellis: Always my first stop in Salem. Best deals for incense and necklaces, and the spookiest stuff to check out in the back. Super friendly employees, too!
Stuart Cunningham: It's always a good time when you find a joke and oddities shop.
Brandan Goedert: Such a badass place!!
The Critical J: PROS: There was a lot of merchandise for people who like that magic/goth industry. They also had amazing quality masks and the staff was very niceCONS: The place was unorganized in the sense that everything just looks to be packed in and overwhelming. Very hard on your eyesOVERALL: I would definitely walk in here and see what they have. Talk to the team there cause they're also very nice
Amy Clifford: This place rocks! The staff is awesome!!!

Magic Beans - Cambridge: what do users think?
Daphne Lehman: Mia is so helpful! She answered every little question we had about strollers and I appreciated her sense of humor. I learned more in our hour long consultation than I did during weeks of online research.
Amir H Souri: I drove 40 minutes to look at strollers in person with my wife. I was rudely told that we could not look at strollers by ourselves which is the whole point of going to a physical store. I do not need a store employee to tell me what's best for my family. They insisted that weekends were their busiest time when literally no one else was there. If you can't look at a stroller without an appointment then there should be a sign. We were actually going to buy a stroller but clearly changed our minds.P.S. You won't see this type of sketchy hidden cost at a car dealer where you can actually ride a car without paying a consultation fee.
Jonna Sullivan: Had a 1 hour consultation with Mia at the Cambridge store and it was honestly like chatting with a friend I haven’t seen in awhile. She was knowledgeable, kind and made me feel good about my decision on what convertible car seat I purchased for my 9 month old.Thank you Mia and Magic Beans!
Stephanie Christopher: I attempted to shop in store to pick out a new carriage today. When we arrived there was a sign on the door saying closed for inventory. I visited your Google listing, Facebook and Instagram pages prior to traveling to your store. None of which stated you’d be closed today. Since I visited the store and let an employee know your Google listing did not reflect todays closure it has since been updated. In the future I suggest you use your social media platforms to announce store closures and double check your Google listing hours to avoid potential customers making wasted trips to your locations.
Alvina Khair: I live nearby in Cambridge and went to the store to buy couple of toys. I showed interest to strollers and seller was super nice to answer all my questions even if I didn’t reserve any consultation. Very nice store! Thank you.
Sunita Iyer: Consistent and almost duplicative of many other recent reviews - I had an absolutely horrible experience here. Went in on a Wednesday morning ( obviously pretty off peak if I must say myself ) was met by a rude sales person . I was asked not to touch the stroller ( even though she was doing a remote appointment and showing car seats at the moment ) . I was kind of confused shocked and embarrassed all at the same time. There was no one else working in the store to even help me if I wanted to make a purchase ( which I did) if you’re going to be elitist about your policy just go ahead and lock your store and put up a sign that says appointments only - come back at XX’I provided my immediate feedback via their customer service link , received a pretty quick reply from the owner inquiring to know more and have yet to hear back. I just can’t wait to see how they’re going to defend the one . Let’s be real when all your 1 star reviews have occurred in the past few months and a common story is emerging - you have to own up to yourself as a business that maybe you’re doing something wrong . I had such pleasant experiences with MB in the past - not sure what’s happened to them recently
Tayna Silveira-Brito: When I was shopping for a car seat and a stroller, I went to Magic Beans in Cambridge MA to talk to a specialist. We decided to purchased the Nuna Demi Grow stroller. The specialist was great. He took the time to explain to us how everything worked and all of our options. When it came to decide on the car seat, I asked the specialist (Tom) which one was the safest car seat. Tom told me it was the Cybex atom. Even though I didn’t like how it looked and it didn’t seem as comfortable as the other options, we decided to go with safety instead of the look. First of all, Within 2 month of usage, the cover part ripped. There are many little holes. But the worst out of it all was the safety aspect. The car seat always seemed a little wobbly. We reinstalled and even went to the store to help us to install it the proper way. It did not change anything. Until one day, my baby was only 3 months and 9lbs, I was driving in the city and the car seat unplugged out of the base, and it came off. My baby almost died!!! I had to drive holding the car seat until I could stop my car. It was the WORST experience of my life. We then got the nuna and it was never wobbly neither fell off. IT IS NOT A SAFE PRODUCT!!!! I called to tell our experience and they told me that they couldn’t do anything about it and that I should contact Cybex. So I’m a little upset that they didn’t even bother to try to help. Even though they were the ones who recommended this awful car seat.
Suzanne Albino: I am a first time parent so I was not familiar with Magic Beans until I started researching strollers and I am so glad I stumbled upon their YouTube reviews of strollers as well. We learned about the Drool Baby Expo which I believe is sponsored by Magic Beans and we had such a great time! I recommend that any new parent attend the next Expo since it is a great opportunity for discounts, raffles and it was a such a fun time while you are pregnant (mocktails and appetizers!). We purchased a stroller at the Drool Expo and were very excited to receive it a few months later since it was a new release but unfortunately the company had to extend the release date. I went into Magic Beans in person and I worked with Mia who was so understanding, pleasant and helpful! I connected with Tom as well and Magic Beans treated us beyond what we could have expected in customer service. They assisted us in choosing another stroller and we had the stroller delivered to our home within 24 hours of when it shipped! It has been a wonderful experience and we are super grateful to Magic Beans, Mia and Tom for their time and attention to their customers. Thank you Magic Beans!
Ashita Goswami: We didn't that we needed an appointment, which is fine the associate at Cambridge on Sunday afternoon 21st August could have been a little polite in communicating that!
Bonnie Lipton: Magic Beans is just wonderful! We booked a consultation with Mia (she's the best) who was extremely helpful in assisting us in purchasing a stroller and car seat. They even let us take different car seats to our car to see how they fit and how much room they would take up. This, along with the personalized recommendations based on our priorities and lifestyle is why we go to Magic Beans!
Nicole Martins: Really disappointed with our experience today. Went in to look at a variety of things, one being strollers. I had no idea about this appointment business as it’s been ages since I’ve purchased a stroller with them. The associate rudely told us if we wanted to “do all of this” (put my daughter in the stroller to try it out) that we had to book an appointment and then apologized to the couple that had an appointment with them, as if we even knew we were inconveniencing anyone… Super embarrassing.Listen, I want to support your small business. But you’ve got to be kind and respectful to your customers. We’re coming out of a pandemic and I had no idea about rules, no need to be rude and embarrass us.MY REPLY TO THE OWNER:First.. it wasn’t a female that helped us today, it was a male. Who are you to tell me this person was not rude? Clearly, he was for me to come here and leave this review. Clearly there is a pattern here, I am not the first person to leave a review like this.Second.. I went in with my toddler and honestly, I’m not looking closely at your store front as I’m focused on getting my kid into the store. I also have not been on your website. There will be more customers like me. We are busy raising kids.Blaming customers for not seeing signage and telling us that we did not deal with rude employees… yikes.
Katie Campbell: The staff at magic beans is so knowledgeable. Our consultation was great, we got to see how a couple of booster seat options would work in our car, which really helped us make a decision
Jamie Schaffer: Mia and Tom have both helped us with baby gear consults and have been a great resource. We've never felt like we're being pushed to a more expensive option. Instead, they always have seemed to listen to our needs and help us find a product that best fits. Even when we don't need a consultation, this store has a wife variety of options and a great rewards program and is one of our go to baby gear stores.
Jayson Bowers: Tom did an awesome job presenting the options for a stroller and car seat. He helped us avoid some potential pitfalls. Highly recommended.
Garrett Bernstein: Tl;dr: The 1-star reviews are irrational and unfair to how small businesses need to operate to stay afloat. We had a great experience properly using the consultation system and learned so much more about products and our preferences than we would have online or at a big box store.I understand the confusion the 1-star reviewers have with the gear policies and signage/messaging (the owner, Eli, told me via email he's already working on updating it all to make it much clearer). I had some of the same confusion when I first walked into the store. But it's pretty clear from reading those 1-star reviews that they're all psycho shoppers who expect to be waited on hand and foot and don't have any reasonable expectations about the give and take between store and customer. And reading all of Eli's responses to the 1-star reviews makes it pretty clear he's someone who cares about offering a quality and respectful experience for his customers while at the same time making sure his small business actually stays in business and can continue to offer much more intimate and helpful experiences to shoppers that they couldn't possibly get at Amazon/BuyBuyBaby. If you want to shop at those places, no problem there, I'll be buying some of my stuff there too, but don't expect to walk into a small business and take up an hour of a knowledgable staff's time so you can get a hands on trial of every single product only to walk away and leave the business without any compensation.Anyways, enough ranting about entitled and disrespectful shoppers, I've had an amazing experience so far at Magic Beans even though I walked into the shop and couldn't initially play with the strollers like I had expected to. Mia(?) had a consultation appointment in a few minutes she was prepping for but still kindly took the time to answer a few of our questions about different options and tell us how the consultations worked. We happened to be out in Wellesley later that day and popped into the Magic Beans there and were able to sign up for the free 10 minute consultation with Tom, who spent more than 10 minutes actually showing us the the features and folding etc. of specific models we were curious about. That was enough for us to decide those models were definitely a viable option for us on top of a few ones we had tried elsewhere, so we signed up for the full hour consultation later in the week. The $50 deposit wasn't an issue because it's a DEPOSIT. I'm having a baby soon, it's not like I'm not going to be able spend $50 at a fully stocked baby store. The consultation itself was awesome. Tom first answered in-depth our high-level questions about what types of strollers would be right for us. Then he brought out each of the different mid-/full-size pairs for the different brands that were on our shortlist so we could hands-on compare features and folds. He had us wheel the strollers around the block and over some grass patches and bumps to get a feel for the ride, all with a weighted dummy baby strapped it. And he even let us try putting the strollers in our trunk, which was super helpful for realizing we much preferred one type of stroller fold to another. We spent our entire hour deep-diving into strollers, but he let us stay a bit longer to give us a car seat overview so we would know the lay of the land. I would be very willing to go back and do another full hour consultation on car seats, carriers, etc.Wow ok I think this is my longest review of my entire life. That should tell you how strongly I feel the 1-star reviews are completely unfair and out of touch with reality, and how awesome an experience and service this store and its staff provide to its customers.
Cristina Tunon: Magic Beans is truly worth it's weight in gold. Not only do you get the one-on-one service when you book a full baby gear demo appointment, but you can actually take strollers out for a test run outside of the store. Any stroller can feel great indoors on a even flat surface, but actually feeling how they drive on the sidewalk and street was a game changer.Tom was amazing and spent more time with us than he needed to. He never made us feel like we were taking too long or asking too many questions. Thank you, Tom!Go to Magic Beans! You'll feel so relieved when you're done because information is power, and you will get a lot of information. After your visit you get a follow-up email with links and details to everything you viewed at the store. After having that type of customer service experience, you'll probably never want to shop at a big box store again. I know I don't lol.
Stacy Scofield: We are a single-vehicle household, and it's a small vehicle at that, so when it came time to buy our baby a convertible car seat we were anxious about finding one that would fit properly. We scheduled a car seat consultation with Tom C. and he was super helpful, bringing the floor model of each seat we were considering out to our vehicle, and not just placing it in but fully strapping it in properly to ensure it was exactly what we were looking for. He was very knowledgeable about the different brands, options, and features, and helped us find one that seems like a great fit. Would definitely recommend going this route to feel confident that your car seat purchase is exactly what you're looking for.
Edwin Eigenbrodt: We made an appointment for a consultation and listed our biggest wants for a stroller in the form. Mia at Magic Beans did a fantastic job of listening to our wants and walking me through the options and their pros and cons. She answered all my questions and helped me get through the ordering process. Everyone I interacted with at Magic Beans was great and the ordering process was smooth and quick. They did a full check on the availability of the items for me, checked for promotions, and got me a lower price than Amazon. I like to support local stores instead of Amazon when possible, but working with Magic Beans surpassed my expectations and added a lot of value to my stroller shopping experience. Thanks Mia!
Max Glick: I should probably start this by saying that buying a stroller should not be harder than buying a car. I also attempted to leave this review on their website and when the page refreshed, the review was deleted. I thought it would be most useful to leave the review there, but after it was promptly deleted, I moved it here.We went to their Cambridge location planning to order a stroller and maybe also a crib depending on our experience. When we arrived, we were told that without an appointment, could to even touch the strollers and would have to leave in 10 minutes when an appointment came in. When we asked it we could make a future appointment while we were in store, the store associate dismissively told us that we could only book an appointment through their website (or by scanning the QR code out front). We scanned the code and then found out an appointment costs $20 for 15 minutes (you do get a $20 gift certificate at the end of the appointment). While the gift card is nice, no one should have to pay a premium to just be acknowledged as a potential customer. We plan to take our business elsewhere and have been encouraging our friends and family to also find different local businesses to support for their baby needs. On their website, it is noted their reviews are managed by Yotpo, a seemingly popular review/marketing service. A quick Google Search reveals that Yotpo is known for stacking websites with fake, or at least only highly preferential reviews.
Sakshi Aggarwal: We went to the Cambridge magic beans store to look at strollers in person. We decided that we didn’t need help and wanted to just look at the stroller OURSELVES without bothering anyone. It was a Sunday, we barely spent 5 mins there and were told that we needed an appointment if we had questions. We said we’re just looking and didn’t need help. THEN the lady told us that she needed the gear area for her next appointment so we need to leave. They like to have that area reserved for appointments only.We came back the following week. We booked an appointment on the spot. During our consultation, there were 2 ladies lurking around in the gear area and benefitting from our consultation for free. It was shocking to see that we were rudely asked to leave when we wanted to merely check out the strollers ourselves , but it was okay for other people to hang around and have a ‘group’ consultation that we paid for.Now here’s where our painful ordeal begins. We came back 2 days after the consultation and placed an order for a stroller travel system. Two days after placing the order, we got an email from magic beans saying that the stroller isn’t available so we should feel free to cancel our order. We called them and Tom told us that he would talk to the buying company and get back to us in 30 mins. An hour goes by with no word from him. In the meantime we’re panicking since everything is on back order due to covid. We were able to find our travel system online with another retailer. So we called back and Tom asked us to call the next morning. We called the next morning and he said we should call back in 30 mins. We called back in 1.5 hrs, multiple times, and no one answered. We tried again later and no one answered. They called us back and left us a voicemail saying that the stroller is definitely out of stock with no guarantee of being back. So we called the store back and again, no one answered despite us calling several times. It’s almost like they blocked our number. After several attempts, we left them a voicemail that we wanted to cancel our order. We eventually got a call back from Andrea at magic beans and after a lot of back and forth, and us telling them multiple times that we wanted to cancel the ENTIRE order, they finally confirmed that the entire order will be cancelled and we’ll receive an email ‘soon’.The day ends with no confirmation from them. We still didn’t get a confirmation the next day so we called their Cambridge store multiple times and, as usual, no one answered. It was almost like they didn’t want to give us our money back. We found another number online for what seemed like a customer service center and someone finally answered. The lady on the phone, was extremely rude and told us they never promised to cancel the entire order!!!! The car seat was apparently shipped and only the stroller was cancelled despite them promising us that they had cancelled the entire order! We had to convince her to refund our money to which she said that we should ship her the stroller back once we receive it and only then will she refund the money. So we told her that our order is being shipped to the store! Did she even look at the order details or did she want to simply harass us? THAT’S when she went into our order and realized that she spent 20 mins putting us through hell for nothing and finally agreed to refund our money. This whole thing is very shady. They find ways to take your money like forcing people to spend $50 and set up appointments, however, they don’t really care about their customers. They ruined what was supposed to be a very happy and exciting time for us. If their excuse for forcing people to pay for appointments is that people end up shopping elsewhere after talking to their staff, then they really need to look into why they’re losing business despite their staff being as ‘awesome’ as they say. Their treatment of customers who need to cancel orders is ridiculous. Be prepared to have to beg to get your money back if something goes wrong with your order.
Heidi Lavigne: What a scam. No sign indicating at the entrance that it’s by appointment only, just a tiny 8X11 paper with a QR code and small font. When we started touching the Bob stroller I had been eyeing the store clerk very rudely came out of nowhere and said “Um excuse me, can I help you?” (Imagine so much condescension in her voice.) the interaction was extremely uncomfortable from that point and I was so turned off we just left with no intent to return to this store. Side note : there were 2 other couples in the store, not at all crowded. Also a “consult” costs $$ to just look at merchandise. Basically this store charges a cover fee. That seems pretty sketchy to me. I felt zero warmth and honestly the interaction was just upsetting and I will not recommend this store to my friends. Just wow. Please work on customer service bc if she had just politely explained the situation to me I would have been more than happy to oblige. Very disappointed in my first baby shopping experience.Edit to reply below: We did not ask for assistance. No one was looking at the stroller I touched. We were told “not to touch” and with a rude tone (and yes that’s exactly what happened). There was no explanation that we could come on a weekday. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable. If she had politely explained your store’s (strange and elitist) policy of appointment only I wouldn’t have felt like I was being insulted for browsing what I thought was a store open to the public. Obviously we didn’t notice the small sign. Also, the way you replied to my honest review of my experience in your store that is also consistent with the experience with others makes me wonder- do you think I’m lying? Do you think I relish in leaving a local Boston company a poor review? I always shop local when possible, so I think it’s pretty rude of you to say that I didn’t seem like I was going to buy anything. Are you joking? You weren’t there and don’t know me or my husband. I went out of my way to leave a review so others wouldn’t be made to feel so embarrassed when looking at baby gear. Your response is as disappointing as my interaction was in your store.

Enchanted: what do users think?
Sarah Martinez: My niece (16) and I wanted to do something special and decided to book a reading with Julie A Randazzo. I had not read anything about an age limitation on the site, and did not think it would be an issue as she was with an adult.Upon arrival, we waiting a bit for our reader to be ready. My niece decided to go back first, and immediately the vibe was way off. She seemed skeptical and asked her age, and I said she was 16. She went back with Julie, and after 5 minutes she comes back and says "We just aren't connecting, I would like to refund her". I was taken aback, and asked if something was wrong, and then Julie immediately began questioning her age again and said in a pushy way "Is this girl 14? How old is she?" I again said she is 16 years old, and was becoming VERY uncomfortable in the middle of this conversation (what 16 year old wants to be asked if she is 14 after an awkward visit?). She repeated she won't continue with the reading, and I asked to refund both of us as we meant to do it together. She said ok and we went to the front desk to process the refund, as Julie hung back in the background STARING at us?Upon leaving, my niece broke down in tears, and shared that she felt very judged during the reading. She did know realize she should have questions prepared, and when she said she did not have questions, Julie pulled cards and asked questions. In the 5 minutes it was discussed that my niece is not in school (she is homeschooled and was considering getting her GED.) Julie says "Why would you want to do that??". This was one of several very rude and judgemental comments to put on a 16 year old girl. As my niece was living with me at this time, she also pressured her to consider how her mother was feeling about the situation, and if she was "sad about it" when she pulled a mental health card. The entire thing was very disturbing and we left feeling terrible, and anxious about the entire thing between the judgements, and the 20 questions/attack over her "actual age".DO NOT recommend seeing this person, esp as a younger person.
William Amburn: I felt such positive energy upon entering this place. I really wanted the nightmare protection bottle for my wife. Maybe next visit or online. Left with more then just a crystal ball. I left feeling uplifted and positive charged. I returned 4 times during our visit to Salem. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Queen Of Wands: Hi ! Myself and my daughter both had a reading with Edward Nov 19. First let me say I have been a reader for 45 years and a previous owner of a spiritual store in Connecticut . I went first with Edward , I could see he was struggling with giving a reading and when I told him I was also a reader he became annoyed . By the end of the reading I realized I had wasted $40.my daughter (24) went next . When she came out of the reading she was upset . It seemed Because Edward disliked me he took it out on my daughter during her reading . He told her I hold her back in life and if she didn’t move away out of state she would also have health problems . He also told her she would never find love again because of me . I would ruin everything in her life . That was just a few things ! There was more negativity .Thankfully my daughter is a confident intelligent young woman who has a masters degree along with a job at a local university . I guess I didn’t hold her back too badly .Like I said I pride myself on my authenticy as a reader and would never never deliver messages like he did to anyone. That is beyond irresponsible . As a former store owner I was always diligent in who read in my store , I was smart enough to know reputation is everything . I also know the impact a reading can have on someone good or bad. Harm none .I have been to your store several times I had readings with heather who I adore as does my daughter . She is not only gifted but she is authentic as well. So this was very unexpected .We contemplated coming back for a refund but we figured we take it with a grain of salt , chalk it up to life and move on .Shame on him to give a reading to someone who put their trust in him . I would hope as a business owner you would address this matter . Toxic readers will bring down your establishment . Denise Petry Connecticut
Brandee Collier: The store itself was absolutely amazing and dare I day it...."enchanting." Even the front of the shop staff were absolutely wonderful! I wish I had left it at that and walked out. However, I decided to ha e some fun and do a psychic reading. As a skeptic, but a person who has friends that identify as witches, and friends who do amazing readings, my partner told me not to do it. But "when in Rome."Mark was the person doing my reading. Within the first 5 mins of a 30 minute session I was ready to go but since I paid, I figured I see it through. Wrong choice. Filled with assumptions based on racial profiling, he at one point channeled an older woman, presumably black, stated waving his hands, saying "hallelujah" in what he associated with being Baptist and asked if I had an older woman that passed that was religious. With a dead pan faced I said no. My grandmother (which anyone could have naturally guesses I had and had passed) was the furthest thing away from a religious person. And no one in my family was Baptist.I continued on in amusement feeding him somethings because I felt bad for him, but there were many moments in the reading where he just plucked things out of the air based of who he assumed I was. It was a terrible "reading" that left a bad taste in my mouth for people who probably genuinely come to him looking for answers. I'm not sure if he was high but the racial antics weren't amusing.Again, the store itself was beautiful, great shop. I'd stay away from these "physics" . At least Mark. Wasn't sure if he was high during the reading ( coming from Washington State I really don't care) but maybe dial it back during the readings.
Melissa Rosa: Loved this shop! They had so many gifts, books, and crystals to choose from. The staff was so friendly and helpful! I was trying to decide between bracelets and which stone to get. They brought out a binder and went through all the different stones that I was looking at and told me what they protect you from. Such wonderful genuine staff, that really just made my trip! :)
Kilana Ann: Absolutely wonderful store! I loved the store layout and, I ordered some items for friends from here, excellent customer service.
Mandi K: Love, love, love this shop! Always friendly staff and amazing energy!
Mandi Fedele: Great shop with friendly staff. Worth the stop! Beautiful items.
Deniz Degirmenci: Such a great store and they were so helpful!
Gemma Jones: I had a reading here and it was awful. The cards weren't fully explained. He focused on negatives, pursued things despite me saying that it didn't ring true. And then said something incredibly inappropriate which made me feel very uncomfortable. A complete waste of money.

New England Magic: what do users think?
Lauren Steffany: Been going here for years and I love it! I’m looking to buy online if possible!
Ashton Bailey: Absolute craziest and most rude owner ever. Even their reviews are unhinged!
Lena Clark: Poor customer service, give your money to someone that deserves it.
Nicholas Serrano: Buyer Beware! Items in this shop are overpriced. We went this week to do some shopping and were interested in a small pendant. When we asked her to see it, she told us it was priced at $120, then "because it's a real sapphire" $125, "but I can knock it down to $112". We passed and actually went with a small ring for $45, "but that tag should say $60, but oh well". After getting back to the hotel, we went looking for other sellers of these same items and all other sellers had them priced at HALF the cost. The pendant was also a lab created sapphire which is cheaper than an authentic one. Overall, go to this place to look, but buy what you want online, not here.
Wouldn't You Like To Know: I had a bad experience with the woman, who I believe runs the place, I truly believe she is one the most smug patronizing naive people I ever had the displeasure of meeting. However as an Asatruar I loved a lot of the Norse related things there, but I highly don't recommend talking to that woman let alone getting a reading from her.
Heather Hays: My friend and I went here on our recent trip to Salem. Had to wear a mask ok im fine with that they may be at a health risk. Here is my issue and it is partly on myself for not knowing more but when someone comes in and you tell them you are selling them a clear crystal ball then sell them a clear crystal ball. Upon coming home my "crystal" ball is now purple no longer clear. Why is this??? After reaching out to some witchy friends and doing some research I find out I was sold a K9 photography ball. Now can it still be used for scrying possibly im still researching but to know and then not inform your customers of this specific information in my eyes is an out right lie.Now my friend found a necklace that called to her and she loves it however sadly this is my review and my advice for people planning on spending their money.... DONT there are much better shops with better ethics. And for the shop owner maybe you should list your store as both a metaphysical shop and a photography accessory shop. You know to be honest with people.
Juliana: Stuff was very overpriced and not that good. Also had to wait a really long time(because covid was still a big thing at this point so I understand) but all the signs the owner put up were kind of unwelcoming. The girl(who I believe is the owner) was friendly! There are definitely better stores, skip this one
Juan Benitez: Visited with my Son and his friend, all three of us wearing masks because it is mandated and not a problem for any of us. The owner Joan was very friendly and very informative. We will be back soon for sure.
Jess M: Great stuff in the store, owner is super knowledgeable, overall positive atmosphere. She helped me get items together for a Bastet shrine.
Harry Renquist: The little girl in the store is extremely rude.
Aaliyah Zurita: i liked the store at first, attempted to talk to the store lady who wasn’t the nicest. then i saw how overpriced things were and it was a no for me
Kelly Rupert: We had a great experience there. The woman running the shop was so kind and gave great advice!
Beauty By CrystalSkye: Attempted to stop by on Friday April 23rd and they were completely closed with no sign indicating if it was temporary or permanent. No lights. Nothing in the window. Think they closed down and didnt update things.
John Schulman: Nice store. Good energy.
Hearth Wisdom Store: One of my favorite shops. We visited with the owner 5 yrs ago, before we opened our shop in Texas - they were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We did not have that same experience with some of the other shops in the area. We will always be so grateful for the hospitality we received here and encourage people to visit this shop first!
grizzlegrizzle86: Pricey but fun experience
Lissette “Liz”: Tons of items to browse, learn about, and buy.
Grace Dion: Visited here this past weekend with my boyfriend! The lady (who’s name I unfortunately can’t remember) who I believe owns/runs the store was wonderful to chat with. She’s very kind and helpful and even through in a few crystals for free after speaking for a while. She seems like a wonderful person and I recommend supporting her shop! On top of the great atmosphere, I had a reading done here and it’s was wonderful. She really took her time and explained things and gave me a lot of incite. Best reading I had in Salem! 100% recommend checking this place out!
Lune: A friendly, beautiful store with everything a person could need. I can’t recommend NEM strongly enough!!
Vicki Gonzalez: Had lots of books on witchcraft, supplies, wands, stones, runes, tarot cards, etc. Friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back!
Steven Pena: I went on a school trip to Salem & i decided to visited The shop. I got the most welcoming greeting by one of the owners. i didn’t get her name but she was really nice. She told me she liked my intentions & gave me a a crystal. my favorite experience from the whole trip! Loved your shop!

Magic Beans - Wellesley: what do users think?
Sarah McCracken: We always have a great experience with Magic Beans. We have contacted the store virtually for product advice, bought gifts for friends and family that always come with nice gift wrapping, set up a registry through them, and have done a gear consultation. I really recommend the gear consultation appointment. It was amazing to spend almost an hour with someone who knew their stuff inside out and could answer all of our questions. I think it's so wonderful to have a small business like this around. I highly recommend Magic Beans whether you want a gift with actual wrapping or if you need to make a big purchase. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it's just an all around great store.
Brandon Rucker: Great selection of toys. Terrible customer service. Attempted to check out but cashier was on phone indefinitely and wouldn’t acknowledge us. The other cashier/sales person refused to help when I asked if we could get checked out.
Maria Alfonso: Great experience with stroller and car seat demo! Would highly recommend especially for first time parents!
Natalie Bowen: Amazing experience with Magic Beans Wellesley. We went to another store in Boston to shop for strollers the day before and they were just ok. Went to Magic Beans and Mia knew everything about every stroller they had! We had lots of questions as I wasn't sure what I wanted and walked out of the store knowing exactly which stroller to purchase because of their amazing help. Will be going back to them in the future for any baby gear needs. Thank you Magic Beans!
Nicole Dutton: Had the best experience at Magic Beans! Mia was extremely knowledgeable and friendly during our consultation. She showed us how to use the strollers easily that we were interested in, and also recommended a car seat for us to purchase as well. Will definitely be going back for future baby gear :) thanks!!
Kristen Rose Bell: We had a great experience with Mia in Cambridge. She took the time to get to know us, understand our lifestyle, and made some great recommendations for strollers that would work best for our family. We appreciated her patience and we learned so much from her during our short visit. Looking forward to purchasing our stroller at Magic Beans!
inna t: To Eli’s reply below since I can’t reply- I would have checked in if I was asked nicely but it was more like check in and wait or leave. Also, I didnt want any help I only wanted to pick a stroller and walk out with it. It was the overall attitude. And also we didn’t know we must have an appointment unless we want a consultation. It wasn’t made clear the first time or when first asked. We thought we can look without one. I see EVERYONE who didn’t make an appointment here had the same issue. So not just us.Poor experience first time and awful second time. Never going back!In summary: Apparently, if you have an appointment- you be serviced and you will give a nice rating. If you don’t have an appointment, don’t bother going in or they will ask you to leave anyways. Can’t just look around like a normal store without a consultant assigned to you.First time- Came there to look at strollers with my brother, sister-in-law and niece. I need a stroller and my brother needed a car seat for my niece that is outgrowing hers. We weren’t really acknowledged but found out it was due to the fact that we didn’t make an appointment, which was no issue for us and is understandable, I guess… although ignoring us what felt like on purpose was not needed. Still, we looked around, played with strollers and left. I decided to come back with my husband for a final decision between 2 I liked.Second time- Came back with my husband today and got attitude and literally disgust for being in the stroller area. I don’t even get why when there was only one customer and more than one employee on the floor by the strollers. We were asked if we made an appointment by one of the girls. We said no, as we knew what we are coming back for and were left alone to mess with the Nuna stroller I was interested in. Then the second consultant told us a few minutes later that if we don’t have an appointment on weekends we need to sign up through some code on the wall and wait for an appointment… meaning make an appointment for them to make a commission or leave the store? It’s a store! I can’t look around? We told her it’s okay we are leaving and just walked out without seeing the second vista I wanted to compare the folding process to.Will drive further to buybuy baby another weekend. It’s okay.
Ori Wald: Very unpleasant experience, rude, will never buy or walk in again.
Jessica Hames: I went into the Wellesley Magic Beans store today. Eli was working (if you’ve ever watched any of the magic bean stroller videos you’d recognize him!). He was so kind and helpful. I went in very overwhelmed with options and ideas for strollers/car seats; he helped narrow ideas down for me and I feel much more at ease having more of a plan. The store has all the stroller/car seat options you can imagine. I will definitely be heading back to purchase my stroller and car seat from them. What a gem to have locally!
Sabrina Hafner: My husband and I made an appointment to check out their selection of strollers and car seats that were perfect for our circumstances. Carina was absolutely wonderful! She listened to what our needs are and gave her recommendations. She was patient and answered our questions with a great attitude. With her help, we were able to walk away with the stroller and car seat that is the best fit for us!
Meredith Paulson: My husband and I did a consult with Mia at the Wellsley store, since we are first time parents living in the city. Her knowledge and expertise in the products and trying to find the best options my living situation was unparalleled. I would recommend any new parent to do a consult to figure out what options and systems are available to best suit your family. I left feeling so confident that I will have the best options for my growing family and felt a sense of relief not searching the dark depths of google.
Shruti Kumar: We came to this store after seeing the many informative videos Eli had made on Youtube. We knew what we wanted to buy based on those videos. As first-time parents we were very excited to come here in person and drove a long way. At first, our presence was not acknowledged, so we just decided to go around the section with the strollers and carseat to look at the one we wanted to buy. When nobody came over to ask us what we were looking for because the staff was busy talking amongst each other behind the counter, it felt like we weren’t welcome and didn’t belong. Because we had made such a long trip there, we decided to approach them hesitantly. Went to the front desk staff when it was empty and nobody was waiting to check-out. The store wasn’t super busy with just one other couple looking at carseats. We told them the particular stroller, carseat and travel crib we were looking for and the fact that we were here after watching Eli’s videos on Youtube. Not a smile, just in a very awkward and off-putting way the lady said she would be with us in a moment. We went around looking at other things we wanted to buy around the store and spent about 15 mins doing that. We went back to the stroller section hoping she would come over by this time, and despite seeing us there, refused to acknowledge our presence. We decided to wait another couple minutes and she walked towards the section we were at, we hoped she was coming to us but she didn’t look at us, pulled the roller shades down and went right back behind the desk where nobody was waiting for her. We stood there feeling stupid for another 2 mins and just decided to walk out the store without being acknowledged for 20mins straight. We went and sat in our car just to look at the reviews of the store because we didn’t do that prior to coming here, to see if it was just us, but it’s extremely unfortunate that there have been multiple people complaining about rude staff for years and the owner refuses to acknowledge the complaints and instead blames the customer for misconstruing intention. We didn’t need a consultation because we knew what we came there for, but only had a couple questions including wanting to look at a travel crib that wasn’t on display which we did tell them about. Since we wasted the day driving here all the way, we just decided to drive some more to a bigbox store in the opposite direction to us. Just save yourself the trouble and go there instead since they don’t charge a 50$ consultation fee for basic questions and have everything on display that you’d need to see. Extremely disappointed and will not be recommending or returning. Before I am questioned by the owner on why I am leaving this review here like he has with other’s who have had bad experiences, I want to clarify that nobody has the time to sit and write long reviews and bash small businesses unless people were truly made to feel some type of way. Good luck
Sagar Kamra: I approached an older lady behind the counter to ask for some with assistance regarding one particular stroller and travel crib. Initially she blatantly ignored me and then made a weird face. We then waited for over 20 mins, hoping that one of the staff members would assist us. Clearly they were not interested. We drove 30 mins to their store and it was definitely a waste of time and fuel. Don’t fall into the trap of their youtube videos thinking you might get some help here by their “consultants”.
Haris Iqbal: Came in here with an appointment that I paid a deposit for to look at strollers and car seats. Dayna was extremely helpful and patient with all our questions. She listened to all of our concerns and offered us great insight into what we’d need as new parents. We ended up making our purchase and she was able to offer us a good discount as well. Thanks for all your help!
SLeg 2017: Extremely rude staff. I had some questions about carseat bases and the lady rolled her eyes and acted like how dare I ask. Then I was looking at strollers and was asked to not do that as another couple who came in after was looking at some. So you lost 4 nuna bases, nuna carseat, stroller, a booster for my 6 year old and a new jogger.
Tom LeFave: Incredible customer service. The staff, Mia, is amazing and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Yazmin E. Christian: After watching many helpful MAGIC BEANS videos on youtube, we were very exited to go to the store to see some strollers. I'm very disappointed to say that I will NEVER be returning to this store. First of all, we didn't realize we needed an appointment to ask questions about the strollers until we got there. I get it, people have many questions and I understand they want to give their full attention to a possible buyer. We were fine on our own, just browsing and picking up a couple of items. When I went over to look at what I went there for, the strollers, there was an employer there waiting for her appointment to also browse the store. Needless to say it was just us and her (not with a client). As I was looking at the stroller that I liked (NOT ASKING ANY QUESTIONS) the lady turned around and said, in a very RUDE tone, "YOU CAN'T BE IN THE AREA, I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT HERE!" I was SO shocked and speechless at this lady that I just moved out of the way, said nothing and just left. To whoever that lady was and the manager of this store, there are ways to treat your costumers, specially potential buyers who are NOT EVEN ASKING FOR YOUR HELP. If the stroller area is one to keep out of put up some sort of velvet ropes, so people don't go through what we went though. You lost a costumer*Reply to the reply...Eli, sir. Trust me it took a lot for me to write this review because I also am a good human, kind and very respectful. The way we were treated was not fair at all and that's exactly what happened. I'm sorry you can't see that... I don't go around the internet disparaging hard working people. In fact this is my first review, because I needed to say something.I wish for you the best too.
Stephanie Pazos: I find the hours being 10-5 every day is really not helpful to those of us who work. Not all of us have assistants or nanny’s that can run errands for us during the day.
Ashley Brown: My husband and I are first time parents and we would very strongly recommend making an appointment for a full gear consultation at Magic Beans. We worked with Mia at the Wellesley location, who was incredibly helpful and thoughtful, asking specific questions about our lifestyle and family plans before making specific recommendations. She knew so much about the benefits and drawbacks of each stroller, and while I have benefitted immensely from the experiences of my friends and family, the opportunity to work with an expert who knows a lot about each product really helped us figure what was most important to us as we prepare for our little one. It was truly just wonderful service. We were even able to make sure one of one considered strollers fit in the trunk of the car! Mia was funny, pleasant, and knowledgable. Two thumbs up.
kaitlynn morency: Wonderful experience! Such a friendly environment! We went in looking for a Nuna travel system. They were originally out of stock of this item and we were told to go elsewhere just for the comfort of having the car seat and stroller in time for baby. At the last minute Mia remembered that a stroller was returned which just happened to be the one that we wanted! Left with the stroller and getting the car seat shipped straight home! Wonderful experience! Would go back! SHOP LOCAL!
Andrew Blair: Great selection

Comicazi: what do users think?
Kike Sanchez: Increible. Todos los comics y super heroes.
Anthony: Comicazi is full to the ceiling with comics, figures, collectables, and vintage toys. Your experience at vary, but I feel very much so neutral about this place. The pricing they have is very inconsistent, this is true of not only their rarer comics, but their vintage toys as well. On top of that, I found their pricing to be much higher than even better condition items posted on eBay.I certainly don't mind buying from a "mom and pop" type of store to save on shipping and actually see the item in person, but there is a limit to the overall mark-up that can be made before potential customers just walk away.I didn't find the staff to be particularly friendly, and purchasing multiple items yielded no additional discount, nor was there a discount for paying in cash. If they have an item you want I suggest you shop around before purchasing because odds are you can find it elsewhere for cheaper.Minus one star for inconsistent and higher than nornal pricing.Minus one star for mediocre service.
Charlie Arthur: Unique selection of Magic singles. Wide array of comic books and graphic novels. Knowledgeable staff.
Huguens Alexis: Cool store. Lots of older memorabilia. My kids love it.
jay vyas: Take your kids here and teach them about our modern mythology
Mitchell Fratini: These are the best nerds around. This place has comics, collectables, cards, DnD games, books, figurines, painting equipment and other fun hobbies. When I want to kill time in Davis, I go to Comicazi. The staff is friendly, passionate, and very welcoming for all who want to enjoy a new hobby!
Sean: Great little shop with a top of comic options and figurines!! Staff was also super nice when we were browsing around.
Khalyll Williams: I went down there yesterday out of curiosity but what found was very interesting to me when I was a kid ETRL Thomas diecast best part of my life
Miguel Blandon Roldan: Nice I love it
Donovan Jermyn: Pretty cool comic book store. Reminds me of the outer limits in Waltham but with a little bit more floor space.
Laura Vona: Great selection, super prices too!
Leo Lee: Lots of figure..surprised
Bill F: A great old school comic, game, and book store. It even has a backroom for gaming, readings and other events. Still the one area this store stands out is its action figures, miniatures, and toys related to the publications they sell. So many are displayed and for sale around the store. They span a breath of genres and decades, to please customers of all ages.
Adrien Hello: Very organized comic book and figurine shop with a small manga section. Owner is friendly and knowledgeable about everything in the store.
JMC Channel i: One of the best selections of new and old comic books, graphic novels, and magazines, I have seen in a long time
Radio OfHorror: Great comic book store
Jay Scotland: My first time walking into the store. My experience was amazing. The staff are friendly. They have a wide variety of comics, toys, trading cards etc. I bought some Pokémon cards and will definitely go back again.

Dale Vasco: So many toys from my past.. Had to leave with just one G.i.joe
