Once you re able to speak to someone they tell you someone will call you back NEVER HAPPENS Again just round and round This would be funny but it’s a medical facility for the East Boston residents and they should be ashamed. Does anyone there know anything? I’d say NO!

Raeanna Lucey: I appreciate what health care workers do and i don’t know what is happening at this location. Multiple nurses and two doctors. Average wait for every patient was at least 4-5 hours. Only if you have an open wound will they see you immediately. I of course was upset and they assumed my symptoms were from anxiety instead of upper respiratory. Was there for 4.5 hours. Waited in the waiting room for over an hour, asked them multiple times to do the tests they needed because my condition was serious. then waited in a room waiting to meet with the doctor for an hour and a half. Left at midnight so could not go to a pharmacy. Unfortunately pharmacy wait for medications to be filled is 2+ hours right now. Still in the same condition I was when I went there…

Waited 3 hours in the waiting room of the ER, only to be called in to see a nurse, who’s name was Nicole, who looks at my reason for being there, and walks out. I ask her if I am going to be there long, she reply’s, “YEAH, ITS GONNA BE A WHILE, YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL WE EVEN CALLED YOU IN”. I have to be up and at work in a little bit, with a nasty rash/infection on my arm and had had to up and leave the clinic, which I feel as if thag was what they wanted. So I said congrats, I’m gonna leave, you’ve achieved what you were going for. SHE SAYS, THANK YOU!!! Lol Thank you EBNHC for wasting my time.UPDATE: EBNHC ACTUALLY TRIED CHARGING ME FOR THIS VISIT ! Never even seen a doctor and they put that bill right in the mail!!! This place needs to be turned into a parking lot.

I came here with a very sore throat that was closing up on me, i was having labored breathing and chest pains, crying in the waiting room and the lady said well there’s only one doctor so it’s gonna be another 3+ hours. Sandra Monreal: I took my son in to get checked for a cough, came in a bit passed 4, got in the room at 5, doctor came in at 5:30, stayed for like 15 minutes, said lab results would be done in 5 to 10 minutes. Well those 5 to 10 minutes became like an hour and a half or more!

Dong) but the receptionist are always rude when they answer the phone. They always say that they will call back with an answer and always leave us hanging and waiting. Kristen Elliott: 1 start for the front desk lady who let me wait inside for the 5 minutes before it opened. And 1 star for the nice nurse. Other than that, the doctor quite literally checked me for 25 seconds total & ask she was speaking to me was opening the door trying to leave as I was asking questions as well. That was a wild experience. Never been treated like that in an urgent care or anywhere with medical professionals.
Warrain Rocklanon: The receptionist Ms. Anderson was so rude and no sense of costumer care. She should not be in the front if she doesnt like her job. As a front of the house, she should be bringning light to this ill patient client but instead she’s making their feelings worst, making it difficult to be admitted. The nurses are friendly and attentive it’s just sad that the impressions i have with Ms Anderson pulled the entire team down.I forgot my match latte in the lobby table, I was already in the room with nurse. Ms. Anderson knocked the door, interrupted our conversation and wanted me to throw the my cup in the trash which she can even do the that as part of her side job. The lobby is not big enough for her to walk ghat long, it was not even busy no other patient in the lobby or she could have wait until my check up done.She also told me that she can’t look up my insurance, that I need to my provide my insurance card to be admitted even if i already gave her the basic info such as complete name, ssn and the insurance co. Again, as a receptionist have a compassion for others, talk nicely and a little of costumer care.

Nicole Somerstein: I have gone to this urgent care A LOT since moving to the area and have generally had very good experiences every time I've gone, especially the past few times! The wait times can get very, very long during the middle of the day and after work hours (4pm onwards). I highly recommend going right when they open if you can. I walked in the door right around 9am the last two visits and was seen within 10 minutes. The providers are very knowledgable and I've never felt like they're rushing to get me out, even when I've gone during busier times. Everyone's very nice as well. I'm glad to have them nearby!

Joseph Fraser: I called twice yesterday on behalf of my girlfriend for her eating disorder. I needed lab work done for her in order to get her treatment at a partial hospilization program. Both times i called yesterday the front desk said they do lab work, and that it would be fine. However, today when i entered the clinic, i was told by the front desk that they normally do not do lab work, unless its a physical, and that its urgent car for people who have urgent matters. My girlfriends eating disorder has gotten to the point where you can see her ribs and spine. She is slowly dying. I think thats pretty urgent, but yet we were told by the front desk that searching google would be our best bet. People, please do not waste your time with this place. The people clearly need to be re-trained.

Lynn Julian: The guy at the front desk was super friendly, patient and upfront about their very long wait time. It was only 11:00AM, on Thursday, and they also had a 2 HOUR WAIT… and that was just to see the nurse. It really bothered me that they did NOT require patients, in the waiting room, to put on a new mask. One of them had a bad cough. Strangely, the nurse took my information from a separate room, via my phone… due to their Covid protocols?this urgent care frustrated my already sick body because nobody seemed to write anything I said down. This forced me to repeat a month-long history of my medical visits, for too many symptoms, all my medications that I received for them and all my NEW symptoms... Half a dozen times! When I did see a doctor, she was patient, a good listener, and very empathetic. I might recommend her...but all she prescribed me was an antihistamine nasal spray. My symptoms are debilitating, and definitely need more treatment then nasal spray, but she said she did NOT know what else to do for me. She claimed she wanted to prescribe me antibiotics, but she feared the side effects would make my current symptoms even worse.WORST PART: I showed the doctor two red bite marks, on my right forearm, and assured her I had a picture of the bites, when they first happened, and they were red circles. I requested a basic LYME DISEASE blood test. She REFUSED detest me, for Lyme disease and tick borne illness, because she said, “your symptoms don’t relate to that.” My symptoms are classic for Lyme disease: headache; diarrhea; nausea; fatigue; etc. this type of medical ignorance is extremely dangerous. If ANY of the 300+ kinds of tickborne illness, of which we only test for one kind of Lyme Disease, is not diagnosed and treated early, it can become chronic for LIFE.THE DEAL: In future, I would only go here in an emergency... only if I can’t go to the ER!

Ryan Anderson: Do not go here. I went for routine sti screening and a second look at a false positive test result (all services that my campus usually provides for free) and even with my insurance the co-pay is almost half a grand. Can't imagine the costs persons here may be burdened with that are actually sick or chronically sick. Service was terrible too and several of the nurse staff doing the weight and height made me uncomfortable and the person that took my insurance (had to give my insurance information 7 times and even then, they still didn't take it and my bill was several thousands of dollars till I flipped out and cancelled all my appointments and told them to take my insurance already, how do they operate as a business, etc.) They finally did and it's a ridiculous co-pay of half a grand for one appointment.
Shannon Kauderer: My friend just got out of a month-long stay here at Tufts including two surgeries as well as many days in the ICU. I believe that their consistent care particularly in the ICU and post operations is the reason she's still alive right now. They were able to correctly and quickly diagnose her and then get the treatments she needed.

Iya Bekondo: The worse medical center for Kidney transplant. Very unorganized - hardly any follow -ups. Little to no communication with patients on important things. Very low retention of transplant coordinators; always a new/different person. Terrible experience!!! I would not recommend this facility for a renal transplant. Plus most insurance don't pay for Kidney transplant done there because they are not an Institute of Excellence for Kidney transplantation.
Martina Lowes: Adult Orthopedic department is TRASH. The front desk staff are always on their phones and rude. I called patient relations and of course they did nothing. I also spoke to a manager Mike Ferrante who did nothing because my next appointment same thing happened again. I will definitely be moving my care somewhere else where people are actually treated like human beings.

She has survived ICU twice ( not counting the time she was in surgical ICU after a heart valve transplant ). The only bad thing I can say is that I don't like the parking garage

No wireless or internet at all entrances. Rather switch for a 2nd opinion. Unable to ascertain any PRN or pharmaceutical call-ins. Past research on trials, side effects or adverse symptoms.

Miss C: Definitely not first choice or top 100 choice place to go for any medical treatment. If you need decent quality medical care, I highly recommend one of the many respectable medical facilities in the Boston area. Providers there will even tell you they hadn't read your chart after a month of treatment. If you go to Tufts, good chance you will end up disfigured, mistreated, and/or misdiagnosed. Good luck.

The screening interns were efficient. The Dr. did listen patiently as i submitted a verbally detailed back ground regarding my past medical history, & did answer pertinent questions. She only listened to my lungs & heart, & was surprised that she didn't check my reflexes. The phylobotomist was really professional & very good at not making me jump when she withdrew my blood sample. Overall i would recommend this clinic. They accept Mass Health Insurance :)

Polina I: The people here are mostly very nice. We loved our NP. But the the way the practice is set up is absolutely awful! You can never speak to your primary. Ever!! You’re basically sending emails back and forth several times between you and their staff before you can get any answers and even then the answer is usually for you to come in. It’s not time efficient whatsoever!! If you want good care for your child and answers when you need them by actually speaking with your doctor, this is not the place for you.

Never had a bad experience here other than the one time, a few years ago, a nurse drawing blood didn’t care that I mentioned I did not eat and later fainted on my way home. Good thing a friend happened to be getting on the same bus as I but now I have trouble getting my blood drawn by just anyone.

I can’t get a dentist appointment because they are not accepting new patients. How are either of us new patients when we’ve both been serviced here since birth. The new management is Terrible.

Julia Bonner: I have been a patient of SBCHC for 15 years and in these 15 years the administrative staff has been nothing but unprofessional and rude. Throughout the years I’ve complained about the front desk staff raising their voice and talking over me in an aggressive manner, documents for referrals never being sent to the offices of the referral needed until after the first appointment, and using profanities in front of patients while mocking the elderly patients previously checking in. I love my current doctor there but in the past I’ve been misdiagnosed by other doctors there. In case of emergencies where I need important medical information from them, the phones will ring and ring all day even during business hours. The SBCH definitely needs some reforms and I’ve never seen a change in all these years so unfortunately I had to change my doctors office. I hope eventually these common complaints will be fixed but do not go here if you appreciate a smooth professional atmosphere of trusting staff.

Julia Sickey: They are so terrible at answering the Phone! I have been going there for years because I am a very patient person. Being transferred back and forth with employees that seem to not know about their jobs. No one seems to know their job and everyone has different knowledge of things. Been on the phone for hours trying to get a referral because there is no PCP listed on my chart. The staff attitude is so so so far from the best! I am so glad I am no longer going there for service. I have been very patient with them for years.
Rafael ortiz: Can’t tell you how many times I’ve called this clinic just to be stuck in a loop with the automated system because “the representatives are busy at this time”. I’ve had to wait over an hour for someone to answer me. Luckily I live in the neighborhood and when I’m placed on these long holds i end up going in person, surprise surprise — the entire clinic is a ghost town and the representatives are literally just chit chatting amongst each other 🙄 such an unprofessional place.(On a more personal note) ; Doctors. I’ve gone through three doctors in this clinic already. I’ve mentioned that I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child very long ago. But due to unforeseen circumstances I lost those documents with my diagnosis, The documentation must be somewhere in Children’s hospital. Expressing how this affects my adult life and needed an urgent referral to a professional for ADHD their answer: let’s put you on benzos and an anti depressant and see if this works first because this anti-depressant also helps people with ADHD. Sir, Ma’am I’m already treated for depression and get meds for it. Why are you trying to put me on two other similar meds only because one of its effects help SOME adhd symptoms but will ultimately zombify me to oblivion when combined with other anti depressants? Needless to say my new doctor was perplexed by this and immediately took me off half those meds because it was making me lethargic. They don’t trust their patients nor listen to their actual needs. They just want to make money by writing you off to a psychologist who will prescribe you meds or prescribe you medication themselves and gift you a bouquet of SSRis and downers that will only make you feel worse or slow down your progress.If you want good service just get services at a hospital or private agency if able to, with proper resources. Because this place will not even meet half of your needs. It’s just another sellout market whose expertise is throwing pills at patients without addressing the root problem. Medical professionals, do better.

Christian Dipietro: I'm not surprised with 2.9 stars. I've been by my g.f's side for a year & a half at this place & I have watched them basically drive her & myself in deeper anger. They put her on benzos and some other meds & scripts & the first year scripts were filled every month no issues, her phschiatrist leaves and a N.P. Takes over, This new NP, Before she even gathers info on my girl she states I know you need these benzos but I don't want you on them, but continues to write the prescription, However changes protocol and writes her scripts for a week at a time. But almost every week instead of them being ready at the pharmacy she had to call for her meds & it was for multiple medications multiple occasions A month ago she went 7 days without her depression meds.That really mest her up. We actually had to call and get the Dr on call to send her scripts over one time because she was without them and worried bc when you call its extremely difficult to get through & get to the dr or N.P. so they alwaYs tell her we will send a message to the dr but you can feel the aggravation in the ppl who answer the phones. The pharmacy we use has even said what is wrong with these prescribers, & gave her a couple chlonodine when she had a pounding headache & had to wait for the scripts. This poor girl has memory problems, & can barely get out of the house some days Dont you want to help ppl who have trouble doing what there suppose to? Why are you making this so hard. It's very mean.

The front staff people are extremely disrespectful and choose not to listen to any patients that are trying to make an appointment. Everyone needs to be retrained because people are complaining.

AE RP: I am disgusted with the billing department, they are rude, unhelpful, and have no idea how to do their jobs. They consistently send bills to later have it fixed. Every single visit is a bill, and a phone call to have things corrected. This is why people rather be sick than see the doctor. So we decided her to go to another dentist who going to respect her as a person to take care her needs.

Kesha B: I love it here, I have the best primary care doctor and the best therapist. I highly recommend Dr Maya Mauch (PCP) and Kareena (therapist) to anyone new to the clinic. The Family Medicine Team are always welcoming and kind. When they greet my son and I, I feel like I’m at home. Compared to how it used to be a couple of years ago you can defiantly tell all the departments are trying the best in customer service and making their patients first.
