Christian Hurley: I worked with the owner to custom print an oversized map and custom cut it to fit several frames to create a custom installation in my home that showed a historical map of the area. Steven worked with me to find the most appropriate solution to the slightly different aspect ratio working to address where the cut lines were and to fill in the gap space. He also custom scanned the map at a higher resolution which preserved all the detail at the blown up scale. I’m delighted that he was able to translate my vision to reality and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. The website was easy to use to find exactly the map I wanted and he and his staff were a delight to work with. If you have any ideas like this that you’d need to partner with someone to bring to life this is the place to go!

David Kelly: I ran across WardMaps when looking for an 1890s map of my town for a local history project that I was working on. I found a suitable map on WardMap's website and was quite surprised and pleased to see that several sizes were available at reasonable prices (I do realize that these are reproductions). I ordered and in less than a week the map was delivered. Wow. The quality of the map was fantastic. Beautifully printed on sturdy card, totally ready for framing. I was also impressed by the sturdy envelope it was shipped in. Nearly unbendable, it ensured my map arrived in excellent condition. I really do feel that what I received was a great value and I do look forward to doing business with these folks again. Super job!!!

There is limited help----that is why prices are low and why it was useful to figure out what I wanted before I entered the store. The woman who helped with with shoes was friendly and quick.

Shaun Robinson: This is just an incredible store, especially for transit and map nerds. They have a huge selection of vintage maps, plus all the MBTA-brand apparel and knickknacks you could think of. They’ve even got old signs pulled straight out of stations and trains. A great stop if you’re visiting Harvard Square, which is just a few minutes south by car (or MBTA bus…).

J. F. II: I think like a lot of people who grew up in Boston AND rode the MBTA frequently AND are huge train fans, I have the same reaction: "How the heck am I JUST NOW making it to this store?!" First, note that the ACTUAL name of the store is WardMaps, but so many people know it by the website "MBTAgifts.com" that it basically goes by that name.Anyway, it's chock-full of just about all the MBTA memorabilia you could ask for-- from old schedules to big former actual train signs to, my favorite, train stop magnets, to, in "honor" of the COVID-19 pandemic, face mask with pictures of the various rapid transit trains on them. Since it's TECHNICALLY a maps store, it ALSO has some cool, mostly older maps of the Boston Area, plus some branded merchandise of the NYC Subway.Back to the magnets--WOW, CHEAP at $3.50! Where I've gotten them previously, Newbury Comics, charges $4.99, and the CambridgeSide Galleria cart on the second floor charges a whopping $5.99--and both their selections are limited to boot! I wouldn't be surprised if they had someone from each location just stops by WardMaps once a month and buys a handful and jacks up the price!!Cashier was really friendly and helpful too!

Runner: Had heard about this place from people at southampton st. St. Francis seems to be well run, everything i saw was clean and they seemed organized. Had no issues getting id. The kitchen had just closed but i got a sandwich, the actual meal looked decent from the trays i saw getting thrown away. Lots of floors of programs. The only reason i gave 4 not 5 is that they dont have beds, if it was a night shelter theyd be the best in boston.

Bill the Handyman: Really hard to sum this place upIt both sucks horribly while providing useful items and bare necessities to people of low social status and struggling individuals, be it homeless or not.They have a lot of programs and opportunities to better yourself, at the cost of what seems like a poorly kept, poorly employed, and poorly run facility.It's gross and dismal in how it looks and feels, both inside and out, long lines exist and waiting times as well.To find yourself in this space is disorienting and feels almost foreign to someone who hasn't been there before, it's a statement on society and the lowest levels of its populace.There are good eggs, good aspects as well, but the general nature of the place leaves a sourness you hope would simply disappear, but unfortunately a big part of this reality is it is a necessity among other decrepit necessities.The institutions for the most burdened of our society are reflective of those citizens themselves, so you take what you can get, and it is what it is.I just wish it would change, and keep changing.

S G: Some of the staff is ok and I get my mail there which is great. There's always rifraff there! They have tons of services but you will need to do alot of work yourself. They will lead you to good possibilities.Watch out for Rapid Rehousing.... It's not the greatest nor the honest way of renting. If you earn a lower wage great, but if you make a decent living it's a full scam between the landlord and these agencies..ex pine, women's lunch and st Francis. Your rent is 1k month and you pay 30% of your income. Well guess what if your 30% falls in the higher bracket then you will easily pay OVER 1k month. Woo that sure makes the landlord happy. Who the hell wants to pay Abit extra for rent? I'm talking 1200, 1500, 2000 when we all agree on 1k smh. Then there's the cut that your worker gets or whoever connected you. But ahhh we aren't suppose to know!!!!! Boom that's how you hustle homeless people. You do the math!When I was last there a nice young lady "white" asked to exchange a shirt that was given to her. It was too small and when she placed it down on the counter the people behind the desk lied and said she threw the shirt at them. Well she was surrounded by severallllll black dudes. Wow! Really.... I could see the hurt and shame in her face. She still didn't get loud after that.She politely asked for the women's name at the clothing desk and they flat out told her that she wasn't getting her name. She has every right to file a grievance as I suggest anyone do. Alot of these places will not respect you. But hey blame it on the ignorant individuals who actually did cause trouble.If something like that happens to you, definitely file a grievance and take it as far as you can to be heard. It helps if you are sober because these unfair habits will repeat unless you are in a good mind set to fight back.I am newly homeless and believe me these organizations won't care if you are educated or have been successful in the past. This is your present and everyone is seen as dumb addicts basically so sober up or stay clean! Including methadone and Suboxone.... don't even accept these government highs. Please!!!!!Yes I'm black and I saw a few complaints below from white individuals and I can back them up sadly. They're are tooooo many racist blacks in Boston in a whole! I had to watch whites get treated differently than blacks if the worker was black as well. Being newly homeless it came as a shock to see the table drastically turn between races.I witnessed whites get kicked out of shelters for drugs while if you're black and it's another black worker they may give you a warning. At pine a white women who needed a psy ward was thrown out after an argument. The poor thing needed help outside of a shelter and it was clear that she could not function on her own but no one really helped. Then she snapped and boom on the streets she went again.If you are reading this please consider investing in yourself -youtube (section8consultant).I did and it helped alot. I was so happy to have found him. Move out of homelessness and back into life!

Lobster Salad Roll (also nicht lobster roll, was mehr lobster Fleisch hätte), 25 Dollar plus tax.Alles in Styropor, mit Plastikgabel und Getränke in Plastikbechern, was an dem zentralen Bereich mit Tischen zu unendlich vollen Mülltonnen mit Bergen von Plastikmüll führt. Und das im Jahr 2023 - das sollte man echt nicht glauben.
